  1. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh, PA to purchase a large collection of vintage gameboards from a long time collecter. It really is not the policy of the museum to make large purchases like this, but since we are just in the beginning stages of setting up the museum, I decided to make an exception in this case. Here are a few pics. My goal for the museum is to have at least one example of every gameboard from each period of the history of electric football and at least one of every variation in mint or as near mint condition as I can get. Making this purcahse went a long way towards making that goal a reality but still a long way to go. For the most part these games are in good or fair condition. A few very good (near mint) and several poor or very poor ( Rust and dents). The teams were not included in this collection (they had been pulled and sold separately) but many things like the rule books, scoreboards and accessory parts were still with them. Overall I am very pleased with this collection. I am gaining a wealth of knowledge about the history of the game and that is truly what the purpose of the museum is. As I continue to go through these games I will take more pics and share them in this post. If you have any questions please ask and share your comments. Thanks, Chris LeMay, Founder and Curator, The National ELECTRIC FOOTBALL Game Museum "preserving the buzzzzz ..."
  2. zak99b5, Just watched. Thanks for sharing. That's awesome. My wife's neice and husband just opened a used LEGO store in the the Nashville area (Lebanon. TN). So I have become a lot more interested in LEGO's. My wife tutors their 2 kids at the store, so once a week, I get to go hang out at the store. That is where I met the guy that I commissioned to build this stadium. it is a cuatom build using 3 sets of LEGO's Manchester United Stadium set.
  3. Recently had a LEGO Stadium custom built for one of my game boards. Plans are to use this in a traveling electric football museum exhibit.
  4. Would love to see the video.
  5. Facebook has several groups. if you post a pic, I might be able to help.
  6. I have done it before. Getting Size right is the main thing. Test print on plain paper using grayscale first. to get size. Best to use white decal paper and have a background color that matches paint color as close as possible. Change printer settings to photo to get best colors.
  7. Nice!! I like it. Is that the leather case NFL Strategy?
  8. No such reference that I know of.
  9. Thanks for sharing. Will hve to check it out. Think I had heard of it before.
  10. Cool Gameboard and teams. Had to look up the game board. Another variation from what was in all their promotional material.
  11. Solitaire League Rules – The National Electric Football Game Museum (nefgm.org)
  12. It is. but these type motors are no longer available. I am sending you a private messeage.
  13. That is how I received it. I assume the previous owner took the Pats Sticker from the sticker sheet and put it on the gameboard. There is also a Giants sticker missing. I bought it primarily for the 2 Titans teams in the unopened original package and also to go with my other Titans and Oilers collections.
  14. Was able to purchase this game set today off FB Marketplace for $20.00. Origianlly purchased from the Titans pro shop and only 15 minutes from my house. Awesome addition to my other collection of Titans electric football teams and games.
  15. I don't know. Never tried. But I think I would leave as is. Just the collector, in me I quess. I wouldn't want to take a chance on ruining the original paint.
  16. Basically you set up teams in offensive and defensive formations. Each team would get 3 moves to advance the ball (offense) or tackle the ball carrier (defense). Offensive and Defensive linemen could only move laterally or vertically. Ends and backs could move laterally, vertically and diagonally. Blocking was done by placing a player of one team on top of the other team player which also eliminated them from making any more moves. The dice were used for passing. Passes were complete if the number on the dice matched the distance to the receiver (# of sqaures) or intercepted if there was a defender on the square that matched the distance. Dice were also used for kickoff, punt and field goal distances. The play was over when a defensive player landed on the ball carrier's square or when the ball carrier was successful in making it to the endzone to score a touchdown. I will eventually create pdfs of the instruction manuals included with these games. My main interest in collecing these games were in the fact that I either owned or played many of these games growing up and that there are many elements of these games that can be used in electric football game play, especially solitiare. Such as offensive and defenseive diagrams. kicking, punting, passing and penalty charts. the distances that I used for my kicking cards actually came from the charts in one of these games.
  17. This is the game I probably played the most and enjoyed playing before I ever got an electric football game. Especially loved the pictures of the NFL helmets on the Game Instructions manuel. An IDEAL All-Pro Football Game made in 1967. Had a price of $3.99 stamped on the side.
  18. Just finishing doing and Inventory and documenting my collection of Non-Tudor football board games and other misc. sports and board games. 36 total games.
  19. Just My Opinion - With the NFL it's all about marketing and mechandising. which means more money. They are talking about adding one more game to the regular season next year which they said would add about a billion dollors more in TV revenue to their income. Why did they add 2 more teams to the playoffs this years? Because it added 2 more games to their playoff schedule and thus more TV revenue. I had no doubt that the NFL was going to play this year, because of all the TV money they would lose if they didn't. Same with the colleges. All the new uniforms and color combinations makes it more difficult for a company like Tudor to keep up with the demand of their customers. I am sure they would like to satisfy the demand of all their customers.
