  1. I love running the Ace (2 TE set), whether I'm playing with College or Pro teams. But I have noticed that coaches divide into two groups - 1. Those who use the TE as an extra blocker 2. Those who use the TE as a receiver Then there are those who don't quite know what to do with them. How do you use your tight end?

  3. Hi all, After many discussions of the A11 Offense in the past few weeks, I tasked myself with coming up with a couple of possible Defensive equivalent/counter formations. The main criteria is that the formations had to obfuscate who is actually Blitzing or Covering without having to make tons of major pre-snap motions and adjustments. I also decided to keep at least 1 true "Lineman", as while the New England 0-4-7 looked cool, I feel it was kind of cheating (not to mention overselling on the pass). However, I also think that these formations would be great for Electric Football (A11 or otherwise), since on the face of it there's little to no difference between figures and capabilities compared to the specialized capabilities of flesh-and-blood Linebackers, Safeties, Corners, and D-Linemen. Therefore, I present the "Liquid" series of Defenses- one for a 4-3 configured scheme, and another for a 3-4 configured scheme. The spacings are a bit exaggerated, but I may revise them later and put up an Offense for reference. Let me know what you think, if there's any suggestions or modifications you can think of, etc. -PK
  4. Hi Coaches and Forumites, I'm trying to finalize some rules for my Solitaire league, and I'm debating on using a set number of Drives per team (kind of like Baseball Innings), verses using a time clock or score limit. I know in "actual" Football, the NFL seems to range between 10-12 drives per team each year, and the College game runs closer to 13-14. I don't think these numbers include Kickoff/Punt/Fumble Returns or Pick Sixes, but I digress. However, I'm interested in what YOU all seem to average. How many drives do you typically have per Electric Football game? Do any of you also use a set number of Drives (or Snaps) per game? I'm leaning towards doing the following: (1) 10 drives per Team (so 20 per game) with Pick Sixes/Fumble Return TDs/etc counting as a Drive for the Defensive team's total. (2) Kickoffs only taking place for the last 3 drives per Team (to speed up the game but to still salvage Onside Kicks and other Special Teams "Twists of Fate"), and (3) An "Overtime" similar to college ball, but with ties allowed after 5 "One-and-One" drives starting at the "Quarterfield" line (the 12.5 yard line on my 50 yard field) and 5 additional "penalty kick" field goals have been attempted, also from the Quarterfield line....yeah I know, I'm letting some soccer slip into the mix, I was a former Punter/Midfielder in High School. Please forgive me. 😆 I'm open to any suggestions you all may have as well. I'm pretty new to this game, so I apologise if I'm missing something that's glaringly obvious. Thanks, PK

  6. I'll define a sight line as developing a "hole" in the defense during a play, where there are no obstructions to completing your TTQB Pass. Your offensive blockers play a key role in this, because they need to get their defender out of the way. I know there's been a lot of dialogue on passing sticks, but what about those of us who still use the old TTQB to pass?
  7. For all my fellow defensive gurus (and OK, the offense-minded ones too), do you run a 4-3 or a 3-4? I love building a 3-4 for Electric Football, because it allows for a lot of flexibility, especially with differing league rules and board sizes. That, and I get to build a roster that's pretty heavy with linebackers, so they can do all sorts of things. Thoughts?
