  1. WK 7 Preview of the TnPEFL This week's games will be played on the 2007 Excalibur Electronics NFL "Vibrating Football" Model No. NF-07 game board. This is the company that took over the NFL Licensing from Miggle Toys / Tudor Games in 2006. Attractive graphics and packaging, but poor product quality and performance. Featured push button "2 Speed BLITZING" game play action and battery powered portability. Contained an order form to "Order your favorite NFL teams" but, as far as I know, they never produced these teams. Only made it through one Holiday Shopping Season. I bought two of these games from JC Penney's at a 50% off $49.99 Sale Price - reduced from $100 - Pre-Christmas Clearance Sale and one of those has never worked. This one at least works and runs decently. Going to play some "quick game timing" format, short games on it. 4 plays from the 50, per team, per quarter. Most Points or Most Yardage Gained per possession. Most yardage gained will give that team 2 points for that possession. Another possible tournament format experiment, similar to that first used by Miggle Toys, at their early Electric Football Convention and Super Bowl of Electric Football Tournaments. "Just a little ELECTRIC FOOTBALL history lesson" from the Founder and Curator of The National ELECTRIC FOOTBALL Game Museum (nefgm.org)"

  3. Billy O'Connell and the LIEFL have certainly taken the level of reporting on and showcasing of EFL and Solitaire League game play results up a notch. LOVE IT!!!

  5. You mentioned a game played at the 1995 Miggle Convention. Was this Clem McAuliffe and Myron Evans?
  6. Here's another: 1965 Tudor Toy Fair Catalog1965 Product Brochure.pdf
  7. Thanks LIEFL for the mention!! I see that the TItans are in the playoffs. GO TITANS!! Beat the Dolphins. Would love to see the Titans face the Ravens in the next round. Packers are my Favorite for the NFC. A Titans vs. Packers Super Bowl would just be AWESOME, too!!
  8. Got the new Titans today!!! AWESOME!!! Great job Tudor.
  9. Yes, always willing to take donations for the museum. I do collect other stuff as well. The museum is largely made of my personal collection of gameboards, figures and teams. My entire collection is now the property of the museum. The museum is a legally registered and chartered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the IRS and the State of Tennessee, therefore, donations are tax deductible. Unless other wise designated by the donor, anything donated to the museum becomes a permanent part of the museum's collection and will not be resold. The Museum is administered by a currently 7 member Board of Directors of which I am President and Treasurer. The other board members are close personal friends and very active in other areas of the game and hobby. I personally chose each one for what experiences and skills I know they possess in their personal lives and careers that may be utilized in helping me to achieve my goal and dream of preserving the history of electric football. Our main goal is to one day create a unique one of a kind "brick and mortar" museum, interactive game room and miniature football art gallery totally dedicated to the game of electric football. Sorry to get long winded but since you asked ... LOL. I do love following your league and would greatly appreciate anything you would be willing to donate. Thanks
  10. Two recently added items to the NEFGM Library A 1962 Tudor Electric Football Rules Book and a 1963 Toy Fair Tudor Catalog. 1963 Toy Fair Catalog.pdf 1962 Tudor Electric Football.pdf
  11. I began painting with craft paints when I couldn't get colors I wanted from Testors. Don't like to mix custom colors either. Craft paints come in more variety of colors, and cheaper and last longer. Some colors I have had for over 5 years or more. Yes does take a few more coats some times but I still like the overall look of them. I usually prime the figures with white or gray primer first but mostly because I buy the pre-painted figures from Tudor because they are the cheapest. I can still get a good durable finish by spraying the painted figures with either matte or glossy clear coat. I use to only do matte coat but had a customer that wanted a lot of small college division teams and defunct league teams and wanted a glossy finish. I also did them for him cheaper than I normally would. I have pics of some of those teams that i will post later. Like I have said, painting teams is probably what I enjoy most about the game and hobby and I do it more for relaxation than anything else.
  12. More hand painted teams from my collection. These are from awhile back (several years). Painted using Testors Acrylic Enamel Model Car paints and Miggle/Tudor regular size figures with a solid platform.
  13. Love the Packers, I had the opportunity to work at Lambeau Field in 2014 on the remodel of the Packers Hall of Fame. Toured the Stadium while I was there. Spent all summer there from mid May to mid August and then several more trips back for repairs and updates. It was awesome. Trying to find pics but most were on a phone I don't have anymore. Oh well. Still have the hard hat I had to wear with the Safety Class Stickers on it.
  14. Interesting story to go with the brochures: "I work in the toy industry with a company that does toy innovation and product development. We work with many toy companies and used to go to New York Toy Fair and would always get their new catalog. In addition to that, we bought out a company similar to ours so any pre-1980 catalogs were acquired then. The receipt from 1975 you are getting is for that company. My guess is they ordered a bunch of Tudor games to experiment with and see if they could come up with any new features to license to Tudor. " - Ian Osborne (seller)
  15. Received these this week. Purchases from ebay. 1962 Tudor Rule Book. Cool color photos of product line. A 10 piece collection of 1960's and '70's Toy Fair Tudor Games Product brochures. Working on scanning and downloading into the Media Archives of the NEFGM LIbrary.
  16. Really like those old Packers, So Cool to see someone paint these figures.
  17. Do you remember the guy's name who sold the EFDW balls? I met him at a Miggle Convention way back when. First name was Bill, I think.
  18. Size comparison of balls that I have. EFDW on the far left, Tudor Saturn on the far right. Others from left to right - newer foam rubber, ice cream sandwich, white felt, older foam rubber, extremely used and frayed white felt. Forgot to include the 3rd and Long, but they are not much different than the ice cream sandwich balls.
  19. Yeah, I think, the type of football used does make a difference, but then again, every one has there own preferences. I primarily use the 3rd and Long balls in league play but some use the foam rubber balls and some use the white felt. The ball that I prefer above all others is the EFDW - Electric Football Discount Warehouse - (aka "the pill"). This is a ball produced by an independent supplier of electric football products from way back at least 15 -20 years ago. It was banned from league and tournament competitions a long time ago mostly because it was heavier and significantly bigger than the balls that were primarily being used at the time, the foam rubber balls made by Miggle / Tudor. The big concern with that ball was that it could be thrown at such a high rate of speed and with such force that it would dent the metal game boards and knock the players over. This was all at a time just before weighting players, customizing figures and using custom built game boards became so prevalent as it is today. Very limited supply of these balls around anymore. I still have 15 of the original 20 I bought when they first came out, but I don't know of anyone else that might still have them or use them.
