  1. COLTS DOMINATE JETS IN IMPRESSIVE 17-6 WIN! August 31, 2020. Indianapolis, IN. PREGAME SHOW: Week #3 continues to press on in the Longs Island Electric Football League as the New York Jets (1-1) and Coach Joey Pizz met with his rival, Coach Billy O'C and his undefeated Indianapolis Colts (2-0). It's hard in this league when every single game you play is a huge battle, but we believe we have made this league incredibly lifelike so that our coaches feel the stress of being a coach and a player at the same time if that makes sense. That's our love for the game and we are sure that everybody gets that same feeling, but when you're in a league with so many people it really makes for a purposeful experience. Each coach grows to playing at different levels beginning with painting the team, professionally decaling the team, and finally, winning your players in a draft which is ongoing every year. That's what makes the league so exciting, not to mention there's a bonus at the end if you can win it all. The Jets had their run in 2008, when they won a 32-team New York City tournament by beating the LIEFL's opponent's New York Giants, 7-0!. Here we are in 2020, and the transitioning Jets have only seen the playoffs one time since 2000. This year after winning a number of players in the draft, the Coach Pizz' New York Jets have come alive with a tremendous defense and a stable offense. Where the season takes them nobody will know until the end. The Indianapolis Colts on the other hand have been built with greatness. Running back Joseph Addai had an amazing season last year. He led the Colts to the AFC Wild Card Game where they were upset by the then Oakland Raiders 38-34! The Colts fell short again of their goal of winning the AFC championship. Being undefeated at the moment has its advantages. It gives Indianapolis a little flexibility to try new things, and you can bet Coach O'C is going to open it up on New York and Pizz. Raymond Berry has become a big star over the last few seasons and he does it silently, when the Colts need him. Let's see what happens in today's game as it should be a fierce battle! The Game: New York Jets (1-1) vs. Indianapolis Colts (2-0) The Colts came out on fire as a Addai returned a 48-yards blastoff! The offense kicked in Immediately as Addai pushed forward behind a very tough offensive line gaining another 8-yards before scoring on a 45-yard touchdown blast through the left side of the Jets line to make the score 7-0 Colts, with 7:13 left to go in the half. The Jets took over on a kickoff return by Wesley Walker who ran back a beautiful 57-yard scamper to the Indianapolis 43-yard-line. And the action for the New York offense stopped right there as the Colts defense, led by Bubba Smith put the Jets in a third-down situation after stopping Bruce Harper on two consecutive running plays. On third-down Raymond Berry saved the day for the Colts nearly tackling quarterback Sam Darnell at the 28 yard-line for the sack, but instead Darnell threw the ball away, forcing a fourth-down and a 45-yard field goal attempt through the upright to make the score 7-3 Indianapolis, with 5:22 left to go in the half! And after an explosive yard kick return by Addai, he busted loose for an electrifying 60-yard touchdown scamper right down the middle of the field to make the score 14-3, Colts. Addai had a huge day! These Colts are for real! They came out here from the get-go to make these tough Jets pay! The Jets on their kick-return came right back with a stunning Wesley Walker 92-yard kick return with 1:43 left to go in the half. On the first run Bruce Harper lost 32 yards to a ferocious Indianapolis Colts defense led by defensive lineman Bubba Smith The Jets ran into a dead-end and a crippling defensive wall by Indianapolis as New York lost 10 more yards. The Jets were pinned against the wall on 3rd down as the Colts made them pay. Coach Billy O'C kept forging ahead, playing an exceptional football game. If Indianapolis plays like this for the rest of the year they're going to be very dangerous team in the playoffs! And on another fourth down defense rose to the occasion nearly sacking quarterback Sam Darnell in the backfield, but Darnell threw the ball away before the Colts could make the tackle in the backfield. The Jets kicked a 55-yard field goal to make the score 14-6 Colts, with 12:38 left to go in the game. The Colts were relentless as Joseph took back a 47 yard kick-return. Addai and the Colts offense stayed on the attack, rushing forward with a 5-yard and 13-yard run for a first down at the jet 35-yard line with 7:24 left to go in the game with time running down out for the Jets. Addai broke free on the Colts next play with another 21-yard first down right through the left tackle and right past New York Jets tackle Marvin Powell, to the New York 9-yard line with the clock running out at 4:53 remaining in the game. Joey Pizz' Jets defense hung tough as tackle Marty Lyons came up with a big play at the 23-yard-line, stopping Joseph Addai behind the line of scrimmage, bringing it to 3rd down for the Colts with 2:10 remaining in the game! The Jets held back Addai from scoring again to their credit, as the Colts turn a (3-0) record into one of their best season's to date beating the New York Jets (1-2), 17-6, in a very good game by both teams! Indianapolis All-Pro Joseph Addai broke loose for 14 carries with 302 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns! He keeps getting better as the season progresses. What a game next week in Week#4 as the undefeated Colts play Coach Paddy Brannigan's high-octane red hot Chicago Bears (2-1) in Chicago at historic Soldier Field! That will be a full-house on hand to watch that game! The Jets face the Denver Broncos at the Meadowlands in another great match-up as the Long Island Electric Football League heats up!
  2. CHARGERS PLAY BIG IN WIN OVER PANTHERS 21-14! August 31, 2020. Los Angeles California. THE PREGAME SHOW: Well, well, welcome to September! This Long Island Electric Football League game today matters more than people in this league may think! There are goals to be met, business to take care of, and a team on the verge of going beyond the NFC Championship in this league. Anytime you have a two-time NFC finalist, back-to-back, it raises eye-brows in the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers lost a very tough game at Tampa Bay last week 21-17, and that is a small setback, but they have to play this game in Los Angeles like a playoff game or their season could make a quick turn for the worst, as Matt "Zoo-York" McQueen's Panthers face Coach Eddie Viggs' Los Angeles Chargers. McQueen said, "I am not going to panic and I have been planning for this game mentally since the beginning of the season when I laid out the schedule. We come from different divisions so I can show more in this game against Viggs because it is unlikely we will meet anytime soon, but if we do, I have lots of weapons. My Panthers are a triple threat team. My line is going to have to slow down LT early on and force the pass and I expect them to be able to do that." The Chargers are going in the direction few go in this league, and that is, past the AFC title. They are the favorite to light up the AFC! The money is on the line! Chargers running back LaDanian Tomlinson, the 2019 AFC Offensive Player of the Year, leads the AFC in rushing with 267 yards and 4 touchdowns going into Week#3, and Los Angeles is a team to be reckoned with at (1-1). Their entire season is resting on the next two games versus Tampa Bay on the road and Buffalo at home in a heated rematch of the AFC Divisional Championship Game in which the Bills beat the Chargers 49-48! That game will be a full house! And then the Chargers face their last two games on the road against division rivals, Oakland and Kansas City, so this will be a war-torn season which requires tremendous preparation. Coach Viggs, the LIEFL Master of Preparation said, "You need to understand that I am not looking ahead at all. Leave that to Slawson's Corner. We have an outstanding football team and coach to play today. We have to rise to playoff level electric football in order to even think about the next game. Carolina is a tough team in more than one ways. We have to figure out how to stop Greg Jones and if we can slow down the Panthers field position, we will take advantage of that. Jones has 332-yards with two one-hundred yard touchdowns on kick returns. He's lethal! They have taken their game to new heights with Jones, and DeShaun Foster is one of the most dangerous backs in the league. Do you see our focus now?" THE GAME: Carolina Panthers (1-1) vs Los Angeles Chargers (1-1) On the opening kickoff, LaDainian Tomlinson only took the ball back only 35-yards, but the Chargers showed who's boss today on their home-turf as the offensive line kicked right in with Tomlinson runs of 1, 8, 2, and finally a 45 yard touchdown run to give the Chargers the 7-0 lead, with 9:20 left to go in the half on a beautiful touchdown sweep past All-Pro Guard Ernie Ladd! The Panthers returned the kick with Greg Jones for 43-yards to give the Carolina great field position to open their first possession. And four plays later running back DeShaun Foster skillfully took a 29-yard scamper into the end zone to tie the game at 7-7, with 1:47 left to go in the half! Los Angeles is on a mission just like Carolina. After a gorgeous 51 yard kick return by Kellen Winslow, on the first play of the second half Tomlinson took it 49 yards into the end-zone for Los Angeles, making the score 14-7, with 14:40 left to go in on a spectacular explosive run with 9:31 left to go in the game! The intensity level has risen to a boiling point. Coach Ed Viggs seemed to figure out specialist Greg Jones for the Panthers. Jones was stopped in his tracks by the Chargers at the 39-yard line. Finally, a team who can slow him down a little bit as coach Viggs promised. But on two straight runs DeShaun Foster ran for 20 and 18 yards down to the Los Angeles 19-yard line. Foster was determined and three plays later, Foster ran in his second touchdown of the game to tie the score 14-14 with 5:41 left to go in the game! What a powerhouse display of football for both teams. The Panthers couldn't slow down the running game of the Chargers as time was running out. Kellen Winslow came up HUGE for Los Angeles with a big 63-yard kick return! With 13 seconds left on the clock quarterback Philip Rivers faded to the right and threw a cross pattern pass into the reliable hands of Lance Alsworth for a 28-yard touchdown to win the game, 21-14! What a fast-paced game for both teams. Coach Viggs said, "I knew going into the game I was going to be distributing the ball equally and I got Winslow and Alsworth involved and that was the difference in the game. Those two have not seen much action because LT has been our offense with this great offensive line. LT scored two touchdowns and when you have two of the same type of runs for 45 yards or more, that's going to be a big problem for any defense." Coach McQueen on the other end said, "This guy is like a clever fox, you have to out-fox him. He really knows how to plan for a football game. I think we played great and that wasn't good enough. I tried to get the game into overtime, but Viggs knew how to control the ball. There's nothing wrong with my Panthers. They are a great football team. We just didn't have luck on our side today and now it's like a wrestling match in the wrestle-backs, we are fighting our way back to win our division at a disadvantage, but my Panthers are the best (1-2) team in the NFC! " Both teams play it at a playoff level today. And they're going to need to do that for the rest of the season as the Long Island Electric Football League heats up!
  3. Thanks so much. Years ago we bought 32 cases at Michael's Craft Store which is perfect for storing the men in. Then we bought the Master Series Paints from Tudor, and all of our 67 Big Men. That was a huge challenge which took months to transform the teams, but we used the money from selling all of our old teams and we used that to rebuild the league. They are all stored in temper
  4. And I totally respect that 100% nothing wrong with that! I love many of the old school uniforms!
  5. Loved Joe Willie! He changed the game and players got the NFL to understand the marketing aspect of a player as well. It would be hard to argue there was a better place to earn that popularity other than New York City! It's off topic a little, but Testerverde was a Sewanaka HS kid. Had potential, but didn't live up to it. Boomer Esiasion actually had a nice career, and he was a drive away from changing his course in history, but the great Montana prevailed! Legends are made! Esiason is another Long Island kid, one of the few who played in the NFL, from East Islip. We can't forget Jimmy Brown either who is also in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame!
  6. Charlie thank you so much for the history lesson that was absolutely fascinating and I love the teams. Following your tournament is great!
  7. I like the Packers and the eagles as well that green and yellow the Packers really stands out
  8. I forgot about that because of your kicking ability and I know you know who Tom Dempsey is and I think he died last year but he did some amazing punting as well or I should say kicking not punting
  9. I understand and I don't know if you watch that documentary on Namath but it occurred to me that he wasn't just a football player in many ways he broke down the racial barriers of the NFL throughout his childhood actually. He's a pretty interesting cat
  10. So sorry I think you have to actually go watch it on YouTube I think it's blocked on this site I didn't realize that
  11. Paul I just watched that whole clip that was awesome I sort of remember that Vinny is one of our local hometown guys that's a great memory on your part
  12. BYARS EXPLODES ON CINCINNATI FOR THREE TOUCHDOWNS AND 145 RUSHING YARDS IN EAGLES 21-17 THRASHING OF BENGALS! August 28, 2020. Philadelphia, PA. "Its about winning games, said Eagles Coach Matt "Zoo-York" McQueen. We set them up thinking Carmichael, and we fed them our other star! There is no one in this league I like beating more than the "Freeport-Chucker" who lost both of his games today. We are telling the league you are not safe against this Eagles team, and we are mixing it up!" The Philadelphia Eagles are dangerous because they have one of the best special teams units in the Long Island Electric Football League, and their running game, once it gets going, makes them one of the best teams in the league. Johnny "Freeport-Chucker" said, "The Eagles aren't as good as everyone thinks. We just need to get the rhythm going to beat them. I cheer against them because I have my own star in "Ocho" and he will rise to the Eagles level today. We will stop Carmichael." Coach Eddie Viggs was in the audience scouting Philadelphia as his San Francisco 49ers (0-3) play the Eagles next. Both teams came out on fire in this Long Island Electric Football game between Philadelphia (1-1) and the Cincinnati Bengals (1-1). Carmichael returned the ball 50-yards on the kickoff, and two plays later silent running back Keith Byars bullied his way to the end-zone with a five-yard touchdown run making the score 7-0 Eagles, with 10:34 left to go in the half! It didn't take long for the much improved Cincinnati Bengals to storm back. Chad "Ocho-Cinco" Johnson stormed back 66-yards on the kick return. It took just two plays for the Bengals Icky Woods to bust around one of the best tackles in the game in Bengals teammate Brian Blados, the All-Pro who guided Woods in for the score on a tremendous run to ignite the onlookers as the Bengals tie the score, 7-7 with 6:01 left in the half! The high flying Harold Carmichael came flying back with a 53-yard kick return, setting up a great position for Byars to get some work. On the first run from scrimmage, Byars ran a 36 yard run to the 1-yard line of Cincinnati. One play later the Eagles scored again on a Byars 1-yard run giving Philadelphia the 14-7 lead as the first half comes to a close, but not before Ocho-Cinco returned a 36-yard kick return for the Bengals. Cincinnati went right to work as Icky Woods picked-up the ground game with a terrific 36 yard scamper until the Bengals were forced to pass on third down. Quarterback Boomer Esiason hit Ocho-Cinco on the left sideline for a 29-yard touchdown to tyie the score at 14-14! Carmichael, on the ensuing kickoff took it back 53-yard again, to give him 156 yards on the day. And Keith Byars took over with a 36-yard run on first down, bringing the ball to the Cincinnati 12-yard line with 3:01 left to go in the game with the score tied at 14! One play later Keith Byers ran the ball in from 12-yards for his third rushing touchdown of the game! What a game plan for the Philadelphia as the Bengals simply ran out of time. Cincinnati kicked the field-goal and the Eagles walked away with a very close 21-17. Win in a thriller! "Really Kieth Byars was awakened, said Eagles Coach McQueen. McQueen put together a great game plan taking Carmichael out of the equation and using Byars to get much needed reps in. Byars finished with 145 yards rushing with three persuasive touchdowns, and Harold Carmichael had 156 yards! Chad Ocho-Cinco had four carries for 206 yards and a touchdown! Icky Woods had 90 yards rushing against a good Philadelphia defense! The Eagles are off to San Francisco (0-3) next week and Cincinnati (1-2), plays three home games in a row beginning with the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) SEE BELOW THE GAME PHOTOS THAT WERE SHOT REAL-TIME AS WE FREEZE FRAME TO THAT MOMENT IN TIME!
