  1. OWENS SCORCHES BROWNS WITH 184 YARDS WITH TWO TOUCHDOWNS IN COWBOYS WIN! AT&T Stadium HOME OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS Roof Stadium AT&T Stadium, formerly Cowboys Stadium, is a retractable roof stadium in Arlington, Texas, United States. It serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League and was completed on May 27, 2009. It is also the home of the Cotton Bowl Classic and the Big 12 Championship Game. The facility, owned by the city of Arlington, can also be used for a variety of other activities such as concerts, basketball games, soccer, college and high school football contests, rodeos and motocross and Spartan races. It replaced the partially covered Texas Stadium, which served as the Cowboys' home from 1971 through the 2008 season. THE COUNTDOWN WITH COACH LEVI VICK: The Long Island Electric Football League Dallas Cowboys have been slow to get going the past two seasons and it has cost them, but this season Rookie Coach Levi Vick, has been at the center of controversy, more than his team. In these articles we write, it is always the losing team who has to write the article. Vick has written twelve of them, and he's done a great job with them, "better than he does playing", said our Slawson's Corner Sports Analyst Andrew Slawson. Vick has finally responded to all of the league criticism regarding his play-calling by saying, "Hey they don't mix up words in this league and I really respect that. They run it like a REAL league. This is a hobby. It is fascinating to me, the stats and records that this league has. That is a treasure! These guys go back in time through many generations. Here's the deal, I am the new generation of electric football. My league I played in were amateurs compared to this level of play. The guys take real care and pride in how the players appear, the player bases, the uniforms, it's like being in a real organized league. There is a standard in this league, no over-sized player figures, just the Tudor Games, 67' Big Men, unmatched from my experience in all the leagues I have competed in. The league is really tough, but I am not a quitter. I am a study of the team, the coach, the rules, and the field. The rules allow coaches to play with serious intensity. You have to be able to think fast or you blow the game with mistakes because these coaches know your every move. I may have lost many games, but I am not worried about winning, but I will say winning and losing can become a habit. I am the underdog of the league. When Jimmy Johnson helped rebuild the Cowboys, he had to start somewhere. Some of my teams have issues. I have gotten much better. My championship team I carried over from my other league, I put on Jacksonville, and now I know that isn't going to work in this fiercely competitive league. The team was amazing in my league. Here, I haven't won a single game with them. I got my butt handed to me. It's like being in a city that is dropping bombs on your troops day and night with no place to run. That is hard to manage." July 29, 2020 BROWNS (0-1) at Baltimore (LOST 17-7) August 9, 2020 Cincinnati at BROWNS (1-1) (WON 14-3) August 24, 2020 Washington at BROWNS (1-2) (LOST 10-0) The Cowboys have two great offensive players and a huge line with Matt "Zoo-York" McQueen's Cleveland Browns rolling into town. Dallas running back Emmitt Smith has rushed for 273 yards with five touchdowns. He's the #3 rusher in the NFC and Terrell Owens has done a great job setting him up with 475 yards and three 100-yard touchdown returns, nothing to laugh about if you are the coach trying to defend that. Vick has done a great job with Dallas considering they beat Seattle on the road last week. August 3, 2020 COWBOYS (0-1) at Los Angeles Rams (LOST 17-14) August 16, 2020 Atlanta at COWBOYS (0-2) (LOST 27-21) (OT 12:35) September 3, 2020 COWBOYS (1-2) at Seattle (WON 21-14) This is a big game for both teams given their records. The Browns will be no walk over. 2019 LIEFL-All-Pro Jim Brown is a power-back who doesn't go down easy. Coach McQueen has focused on defense too. They did lose to NFC East's Washington Football Team last week 10-0. Brown was held to 132 total yards in the game with zero touchdowns. The Browns have to refocus on offense with that tough DOG-POUND line they have led by 2017, 2018, All-Pro lineman, Kam Wimbley. Wimbley was not nominated AP last season, so that was something McQueen wasn't happy about. They need a quick slot-back runner to do the day-to-day running, and Jim Brown will be the set-up guy. "Listen this guy Wimbley is one of the better linemen in the league. I take great pride in some of my guys being voted on as All-Pro because it is a reflection on my coaching in making these plastic figures work for respect. We are not the NFC. Literally all 16 NFC teams are monster competitors in the LIEFL-NFC. The AFC isn't there yet, we are 13 or 14 strong. I would say every game is a war, but my guy Wimbley is better than most guards in the league. We will see today when he faces Larry Allen," said McQueen. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Cleveland Browns (1-2) vs Dallas Cowboys (1-2) The Cowboys wore their dark jersey's for a change, and Coach McQueen's Browns are an amazing real-feel white with the orange old-school throwback Browns look. On the opening kickoff Cowboys star receiver All-Pro Terrell Owens, got tripped up for 31-yard kick return. The first running play the game Cleveland made their statement with a 17-yard loss for the Dallas Cowboys, bringing the ball back to the Dallas 14-yard line as Dallas suffers a huge loss! Cleveland lineman Kam Wimbley went right through Larry Allen and Leon Lett to make the stop. One thing the Browns might have trouble doing is stopping Cowboys defensive tackle Randy White. White has been noticeable in his defensive play this season. the defensive tackle for Dallas Dallas Coach Vick made quite a few adjustments after the first play, and the Cowboys were able to get back that 17-yard loss plus another seven as they came to third down. And on third down, Dallas quarterback Zach Prescott threw a sweet pass to Terrell Owens who exploded with blazing speed for a 64-yard touchdown play down field, with 8:31 left to go in the half Dallas takes the lead 7-0! The excitement in Coach Levi Vick's face set it all that his Cowboys are here to play! On the Browns first two possessions, Cleveland fullback Jim Brown ran a 55 yard kick back for the Browns first possession. Brown then ran for two short yards and was forced into a third down situation as Matt "Zoo-York"McQueen put an odd formation in and set up quick to see how Levi Vick and the Cowboys would adjust and react to offense. We saw two running backs in an arrow formation and tight end Ozzie Newsome alongside receiver Kellen Winslow Jr (See Photo) setting up on the right side of the ball. Browns quarterback Baker Mansfield threw a nice pump fake pass to running back Mike Pruitt who took the ball 21-yards up-field for a huge first down for Cleveland! The Browns changed the running back to give the ball to Pruitt in the running game, and Brown will do the kick-returns for Cleveland in a feisty decision from Zoo-York. The first half came to a close as Mike Pruitt gained zero yards on first down! On the first play of the second half, on an amazing play Pruitt was spun around by Cleveland's tackle Jerry Shirk as Pruitt ran through an open hole right down the center of the field for a beautiful 20-yard touchdown to tie the game 7-7, with 14:13 remaining in the game! When Dallas got the ball back, Terrell Owens ran head on into Browns tight end Ozzie Newsome who stopped Owens with a huge hit at the 39-yard line of the Cowboys with 12:38 left to go in the game. Emmitt Smith ran the ball 17-yards on the first play after the kickoff, down to the Cleveland Brown 44-yard line as Coach Levi Vick moved personnel around the field to make the necessary adjustments for the Cowboys. It's was a very intense battle in the trenches as Cleveland's Kam Wimbley made his position known as he and Cowboys linemen Larry Allen and Ed "Too-Tall" Jones went at it in a great match-ups as the Cleveland Browns defense came up big after the short gain by the Cowboys. The Cowboys ended up losing 10-yards and they were pushed back to the 50 yard line and they're forced to pass the ball. This Cleveland defense is no joke! On third down, Prescott hit Dallas receiver Terrell Owens with another blazing touchdown play, this time for 50-yards to put the Cowboys ahead 14-7, with 5:36 remaining in the game. What a beautiful play by Owens! Jim Brown was hit hard by his own man, Kam Wimbley, at the 44-yard line on the ensuing kickoff and actually knocked off his feet with 4:11 left to go in the game. The offense took over for Cleveland. Mike Pruitt smoked the Cowboys with a 26-yard run to the Dallas 30-yard line with 2:11 left to go in the game as the Cleveland Brown offensive line performed for Pruitt. Pruitt showed himself to be very valuable, taking over the running attack for the Browns. Coach McQueen promised to transform his running game, and it looks like he is keeping that promise. With seconds to go in the game, Dallas came up huge and stopped Browns quarterback Baker Mansfield on third down forcing Cleveland to kick a field-goal on the last play of the game. Coach Levi Vick went wild! He grabs his fourth win of the 2020 LIEFL season as Dallas wins 14-10! What a day! Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens had a humongous day. His lightning speed and 184 total yards outplayed the Browns tough defense. Owens had 114 yards receiving, and 70 yards returning the ball with two-touchdowns. That is a monster day! Dallas (2-2) plays division rival Washington (3-1) next week as the battle for the NFC East heats up! Levi Vick had no comment after the game. He just yelled, "Yeah, Baby!" Cleveland goes to (1-3) and they head to Jacksonville to play Levi Vick's win less Jaguars (0-4).
  2. By no means do we think we're better than anybody else we just have a great group of people that love the hobby I'm sure you can school us too we only have one guy who thinks he's better than everybody LOL the Freeport chucker we call him
  3. CHARGERS TEACH BUCS VALUABLE LESSON IN LA'S OVERTIME VICTORY! September 14, 2020. Tampa, Florida Raymond James Stadium Raymond James Stadium, also known as "Ray Jay", is a multi-purpose stadium located in Tampa, Florida where the LIEFL Commissioner William O'Connell graduated High School. It is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League as well as the NCAA's South Florida Bulls football team and the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. The stadium seats 65,618. With the addition of temporary seating, it can be expanded to 75,000 for special events. THE COUNTDOWN: The Long Island Electric Football League will be featuring NFL stadiums between week-4 and week-5 from a different artistic angle! Pay no mind to their records, it is a real challenge playing in an intense league for $$$ with eight decent coaches, as each week these coaches try to outperform the previous week in a Kaizen, or "change for the better" approach to electric football. The controversy in the Long Island Electric Football League about coaches began when Slawson's Corner and Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Analyst and Historian Andrew Slawson, critiqued LIEFL rookie Coach Levi Vick's performance as a new coach, calling him a "disaster" and an embarrassment." Now, Vick is in the "hot-seat" this season. In a tight 5-3 majority vote yesterday with Vick present the league decided that if "wetback" Coach Levi Vick (3-12) doesn't perform to ten wins this season, he may not make the cut for next season, and he will be replaced by a waiting list of 10 coaches who believe they can perform at a very high-level in the LIEFL. Apparently there is someone with a 50-win, win streak from the Shinnecock Bush League who has won three straight Super-Bowls in a 32 person league. If it's true, we want that person in this league. We would need some proof before we just add another person. It's possible to keep Vick and a new person, if members are willing to give up a team for a new coach, but we'd need ten coaches so it would mean adding two coaches and the $$$ win pool would grow to almost $4,000 for a Super Bowl Winner! The most important thing is to have guys who will stay committed. Commissioner Billy O'C said, "In my experience most leagues compete at a high-level, so it's really all relative. I have played against some tremendous coaches around the country. It is really a matter of rules that can dictate some of the outcome of a game. I really like what I see in Vick, and some guys take this too seriously. We can't all be champions, and we can't win every game, that is absurd to think any other way. The guy has done well with what he has. Once he gets his mind wrapped around the league and the drafts, then if he fails we can judge, but he is learning a lot. What I like about the LIEFL is the pace, the no-stop rules, the no-turn rules, and the split-second decisions we have to make because of the rules. It makes the energy and flow of the game a stressful real-feel style to the game." Coach Pizz, who is coaching today has taken a lot of criticism because he brought Vick in. Pizz said in defense of Vick," Vick did win a Super Bowl in a 20 person league. He can't be that bad, but maybe the league wasn't intense, who knows. This WEEK#4 Long Island Electric Football League game match-up will be a battle to stay alive in the season's playoff picture. One false move between the 2019 battle-hardened and AFC Divisional Championship Game finalist Los Angeles Chargers (2-1), or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2),could mean disaster for either team! The Bucs face a premiere back in Coach Viggs Los Angeles Chargers All-Pro LaDanian Tomlinson. Tomlinson is the #2 rusher in the AFC, with six touchdowns and 380 yards rushing--totaling 627 yards already for the 2020 season, but the Chargers will have their hands full too, with the Ricky Bell-Jimmie Giles combo. These two are for real! They have a combined total almost 700 yards, and Giles was explosive against the tough NFC Conference finalist, Carolina Panthers with his devastating 223 yards in kick-returns, which beat Carolina, 21-17! Coach Pizz has his Buccaneers in prime condition for today's game against a fierce and hungry Chargers team. Coach Viggs said,"The Chargers at (2-1) are the best team in the AFC I feel. I know that Miami and Indianapolis can't beat us, so our biggest threat is here and now in Tampa. Do you understand? I don't look further than here and now. We have a very challenging schedule, so I have to win some road games in order to get were we need to go." Pizz said, "We are going to have to slow down their running game and make quick, sound decisions to beat Viggs and LA. Nothing comes easy. They have a song that says that ... it don't come easy, and it won't!" THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Los Angeles Chargers (2-1) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2) As the intensity built before the game with all of the league controversy swirling. Here we have an NFC team playing an AFC team and there's always a different level of competition that rises to that occasion because these coaches really do value the AFC-NFC, Who's-Who of the league, and for Coach Eddie Viggs his Los Angeles Chargers are one of those teams that plays a different style when they're playing NFC teams. On the first down Chargers All-Pro lineman Earl Faison and Ernie Ladd, the AFC best lineman last year just ran right through the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line for a 12-yard loss on the first play the game after a Jimmy Giles 41-yard kick-return. Viggs always seems to have something up his sleeve. Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ricky Bell, is one of the biggest Tudor Games running backs in our league. He's a beast when he gets open and on second down he took the ball 38 yards to the Chargers 20-yard line for the first down! Bell had consecutive runs of 7, 7, and 2 yards as it brings the Bucs to second and goal. On a blazing pass from quarterback Jameis Winston, Jimmy Giles caught a gorgeous 15-yard touchdown pass as the Bucs draw first blood with 1:57 remaining in the half, 7-0! What happens when you have tremendous players on your team is they get the job done as a proven track record. On the opening kickoff for Los Angeles, All-Pro star running back LaDainian Tomlinson, is that go-to guy for the Chargers. He is their rock! Tomlinson blasted off with a hundred yard touchdown run with no one near him as LA ties the game 7-7, as the first half comes to a close! What a game! After Tomlinson's touchdown it was time for Jimmy Giles to take the ball back to start the second half. Giles returned the ball 60-yards on a beautiful run tackled by Earl Faison again. Faison made his number known in the game! The Chargers defense stopped Tampa Bay running back Ricky Bell on second down on some great pursuit by Chargers defensive tackle, Booker Brown. The LA defense is so fast that it's hard to get anything going against them. They might be the fastest defense in the league. And on the very next play Winston hit Dave Moore for a 56-yard TD scamper on an amazing run by Moore with two players in pursuit as the Buccaneers take the lead 14-7, with 9:00 minutes left to go in the game! The Buccaneers defense came up big on first down as they hit Tomlinson hard, losing three-yards with 6:35 left to go in the game. On third down Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers took the ball 28 yards for a quarterback sneak to the Tampa Bay 15 yard-line with 3:18 left to go in the game! On the last play the game with time running out, Chuck Muncie scored a touchdown to tie the game at 14-14, to send this game into overtime! And as fate would have it, the Los Angeles Chargers won the coin toss in overtime! What a thriller! This one could really impact Tampa Bay's season and Coach Pizz , was obviously very disappointed. This one will be tough to win with the ball in one of the best player in the league's hands. Chuck Muncie came out of nowhere on that last touchdown catch. The Chargers have made nine tackles today to Tampa Bay's two tackles! And on the overtime return kickoff Tomlinson ran the ball back 86-yards, and it's exactly what the doctor ordered. Tomlinson took the ball to taking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14-yard line! This is what high level performance is all about. When their is an opportunity to take advantage of another team, coaches say they have to take full advantage of it. The Chargers have played very well as a team today. Losing a home game could destroy the Bucs entire season, considering there's only seven games in the season. Tampa Bay has looked sharp, but this game could have gone either way with that coin toss! This gives the Chargers the exact opportunity they needed. Coach Viggs knew it! On the next run LaDainian Tomlinson took it in 12 yards to the Tampa Bay one yard line as Tomlinson was attacked hard by three players. First and goal for Los Angeles! The Chargers line up in a T-formation, which is rare in this league with the experience all these coaches have everybody knows where the ball is going and who it's going to at the one yard line as Jimmy Giles makes the tackle on Tomlinson. And the Buccaneers goal line stance stops LT for the second straight time, this time at the two yard line! And on third down, as Rivers took two-steps back, he threw a pass to Kellen Winslow who ran in for the game winning touchdown in overtime 20-14 at 8:30 in overtime! What a finish for the Chargers who earned every inch of this victory! It was Tomlinson's explosive abilities with 260 total yards on the day, including a 100 yard touchdown on the return, that really put the Chargers in the "W" bracket! The Los Angeles Chargers (3-1) play Buffalo in a REMATCH of last years controversial AFC Divisional Championship that the Chargers lost 49-48! What a match-up! Tampa Bay (1-3) plays Kansas City at home next week.
  4. BENGALS EDGE JAGUARS 17-14 IN TIGHT GAME ... OCHO SHINES! Paul Brown Stadium Football Stadium Paul Brown Stadium is the home venue of the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League and it opened on August 19, 2000. Named after the Bengals' founder Paul Brown, the stadium is located on approximately 22 acres of land and has a listed seating capacity of 65,515. Paul Brown Stadium is nicknamed "The Jungle," an allusion to not only the namesake Bengal tiger's natural habitat but also the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome to the Jungle" which is the unofficial anthem for the team. September 13, 2020. Cincinnati, Ohio. THE COUNTDOWN: "The Long Island Electric Football League Cincinnati Bengals (1-2) have had their ups and downs. They play great against the great teams, and then in the small games, they have been criticized to drop off and lose a few in a row. They need consistency. They made some great additions from the 2019 draft in Ocho-Cinco, but they need to draft at linebacker. They have by far, one of the best defensive tackles in the league in Brian Blados. Blados is schooling rookie,Trey Hopkins at the opposite defensive tackle position," said Slawson's Corner Analyst, Andrew Slawson. The most colorful coaching character of the LIEFL is by far, Bengals Coach, Johnny Freeport-Chucker LaFramboise. He is loud, trash-talks everyone, stands 6-4" like Brannigan, and he wears a man-bun with a goatee. He is the perfect fit for the league! Today, he guaranteed a victory after his unbeaten Baltimore Ravens were beaten by Coach Eddie Viggs Washington Football Team this week. Chucker said, "I am so tired of hearing about how good all these coaches are. I lost a game, but the big games are the one's I win! It's getting exciting now because we are heading into Week#5, and that is when I am at my best, when I am under pressure. I admit the Bengals need work. My only goal for them is to compete to get into the playoffs because anything can happen in those games. You have seen some UPSETS in the league here, at I am usually at the core of the upsets! Now, I am working on getting a few All-Pro's out of this team. They deserve the recognition. Don't forget we beat the Chargers in Week#1, anything can happen!" The Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) have been awful. Rookie Coach, Levi Vick will get some top drafts picks in 2021, and maybe the franchise will be turned around. They are a long way from winning any playoff games. The Jaguars have been involved in two overtime games, one against Indianapolis, which they lost in the home opener 20-14, and they lost to the Miami Dolphins 16-10 in overtime in Week#3. Andrew Slawson said, "It's not the losing that is alarming. It's the production. The Jags have a nice running back in Freddy Taylor, but Taylor in three games has 17 carries and thirteen yards, and he has a total all-purpose yards of 347 yards, with one touchdown. Vick inherited a guy who has been a top five back in the league for a few years. Something's got to give. The past coach would never have let this happen. It's an embarrassment." Vick has not yet read these critical comments, but the Jags are on the verge of losing their fourth straight and we can say with certainty, the Chucker will have no mercy on the Jaguars or Vick. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (1-2) The Bengals started the game with a 37-yard kickoff by Chad Ocho-Cinco Johnson who was hit hard by star tackle for the Jaguars, Rob Meier. Meier will have his hands full with All-Pro Brian Blados today and the two will go at it like a war. In his first four runs Icky Woods ran for 13-yards total and on third down rookie quarterback Joe Burrow threw an explosive 60-yard touchdown pass, lighting up the scoreboard to Bengals receiver Ocho-Cinco to give Cincinnati the lead 7-0, with 7:22 with left to go and a half! Ocho torched the sideline on that play! After a 44-yard kick return by Fred Taylor, who had his biggest run of the year, a 21-yard first down, the Jaguars brought the ball to the Cincinnati 35-yard-line. The Bengals defense really came out growling as they delivered a loss of 18-yards to Taylor, forcing a third down situation. On third down Jacksonville quarterback Mark Brunell threw a rocket to rookie Connor Slomka, who flew 53-yards into the end-zone for an electrifying touchdown to tie the score 7-7, with 1:03 remaining in the half! Ocho returned it 50 yards to midfield for Cincinnati to end the first half! This is turning into quite a game. The Jaguars are not a quitting team! Coach Levi Vick was beyond focused, even talking to his guys, moving personnel around to meet the offensive adjustments of the Bengals. Burrow handed off to Woods again and this time Woods lost seven of the nine yards that he had gained on the last play, pushing the Bengals back to fourth down with seven yards to go for the first. Levi Vick doesn't even know the comments that the Chucker, or Slawson made prior to the game. Sometimes that doesn't seem fair. He could have used that as a motivator to really re-think his game plan with those comments made before the game about his coaching. He's playing his heart out to try to secure a victory on the road, which in this league is a double challenge. The Jaguars seem to be having their biggest issues on offense not defense. On the next play Burrow threw an amazing pass in the center of the field which was caught by Bengals receiver Chris Collinsworth who ran an exciting 47-yard touchdown into the end-zone, giving Cincinnati the lead 14-7, with 10:21 left to go in the game. Beautiful play by the Chucker! Jacksonville's Fred Taylor took back a scorching 74-yard run to the Bengal 26-yard line! Great setup as he helps himself along the way. Coach Vick said to Chucker, "Sometimes you got to do things for yourself if yopu want it done right." Chucker responded, "It is not going to help your team bro, (0-3) and looking like (0-4)!" No comments were made after those words. Mark Brunell threwa quick dart to receiver Allan Hurns for a gorgeous touchdown from 12-yards away to tie the game at 14-14, with 5:30 left to go in the game! One more shot at a big play for Ocho-Cinco as Ocho he returned the kick for 41-yards. Their is stioll work to do for the Bengals as they attempt to run out the clock. Icky Woods had a 5-yard run, then he burst free for an amazing 43-yard run to the Jacksonville 13-yard line with 1:06 left to go in the game. The Jaguars fate was sealed! On the last play of the game the Bengals kicked a 13 yard field-goal to win the game 17-14! The Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) played an excellent game. There will be controversy after the criticism of the rookie coach, but he will survive. Vick is (3-12). The Bengals are home against the New York Football Giants (2-1) in Week#5! What a game that will be. Chad Ocho-Cinco Johnson totaled 188 yards today with an amazing 60-yard touchdown, and Icky Woods rushed for 70 yards on 8 carries. Jacksonville (0-4) play the Cleveland Browns next week. Levi Vick said, "I am no quitter. I will have this team ready again next week. Every week is a war in this league. I love it! Win or Lose, I am here to play, learn, and improve." The Chucker said, "I have a few more games to win with this team and we are beating the Giants next week."

  6. TITANS DOMINATE STEELERS IN EYE-OPENING VICTORY! September 12, 2020. Memphis, Tennessee. THE COUNTDOWN: Long Island Electric Football League's Paddy Brannigan is on a roll! He just shut down the undefeated Miami Dolphins 14-10 with his Seahawks playing on the road, in Miami! Then, his sizzling hot Bears beat the undefeated Colts on Patriot Day, and today he has another great match-up with his Steelers (2-1) against the Tennessee Titans (1-2), and Coach Kevin "Mac" Maloney, two best friends, until they compete. Brannigan has been laying low-key as he has opened many eyes with his strong draft choices and great coaching this season. Both of these guys have won two LIEFL titles each! The Titans have had a really challenging schedule. They are a very competitive team with threats on offense in All-Pro Brandon Jones and emerging contributor Enron Kinney. Anyone would want to have these speedsters on their team, but the road games for Tennessee have compromised, losing to Denver and Minnesota. A great team has to be able to win on the road. Brannigan's Steelers are going to have to keep this one close and do their best to push the game to overtime because the Titans can be unpredictable and they can also light up the scoreboard fast. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-2) On the opening kickoff All-Pro return-man for the Titans Brandon Jones, returned the ball 63-yards when Jerome "Bus" Bettis made a touchdown-saving tackle on Jones to save the Steelers from 100-yard touchdown against them at the 37-yard line of the Pittsburgh. The Steel-Curtain shut down Tennessee running back Eddie George on his first two runs, losing 13-yards and getting pushed back to the 50-yard line at midfield. Then on third down, quarterback Ryan Tannenhill passed a rocket to Enron Kinney who exploded for a 26-yard gain and a Titan first down with 9:42 left to go in the half. On the next play, George exploded to the left side of the Titans line for a 24-yard touchdown run making the score 7-0, Tennessee in the lead with 8:29 left to go in the half. Great run by George! Pittsburgh tried to get receiver Lynn Swann involved in the game as Swann came up with a 19 yard kick return. Bettis had several runs, but the Titans defense put up a wall! The Steelers were forced to pass on third down. The connection from quarterback Terry Bradshaw to Swann was a perfect play as Swann dashed for 65-yards, bringing the ball to the Titan 18-yard line with the clock running out of time in the first half! Brannigan's Steelers really struggled in the second half after that 65-yard reception by Swann. Pittsburgh ran the ball two times and then they passed for a no-gainer, stopped again by Tennessee's relentless defense, which forced a Pittsburgh fourth down. Brannigan decided to go for it on forth down and the Titans stuffed Bettis in the back-field. They went for it and they ended up losing yardage and turning the ball back over to George and company at the Tennessee 28 yard line, with 9:15 left to go in the game! The game turned into a defensive game as the Steeler defense kept them in the game. The Steelers could not stop the Titans on the next set of downs as they simply ran out of gas. Eddie George had a 12-yard run for a first down and then Tennessee and Tannenhill decided to air it out, hitting wide receiver Brandon Jones who took the pass 46-yards for the first down! From 16 yards away George ran into the end-zone to make the score 14-0, with 1:55 left to go in the game with the aggressive Tennessee Titans dominating the tough Pittsburgh Steelers who made many sloppy mistakes that cost them good field position. With the time running out, the Steelers last hope was Lynn Swann, but Swann could only manage a 25-yard kick return for the Steelers as Paddy Brannigan looked exhausted from his second game today. The Steelers (2-2) lose 14-0, to an unpredictable but very challenging Tennessee Titans (2-2) football team! Tennessee plays their biggest game of the season next week at division rival Indianapolis Colts (3-1). That will be a super game! The Pittsburgh Steelers play their biggest game of the season at home in Pittsburgh against the first place Baltimore Ravens (3-1)! Great coaching by Kevin "Mac" Maloney as Brandon Jones went 2-109-0, but he carried the team on the set-up for George! ReplyForward
  7. We have a "When push tomes to shove" who is better than who theory based strictly on dominance and performance? There are eight of us in the league with a 32 man Pro Bowl Roster. It is so hard, but we vet the players based on the team's performance, individual performance, and notability in huge games. Then the dominant players are the benchmark to compete against because there are players that are great performers who apply lots of pressure on the line, but they do not necessarily make the tackles. All that becomes a wash when a team wins the Super Bowl in the Long Island Electric Football League, because at that point to get to the road few travel, they had to do something right? Then the best players come in full uniform to the Draft and we purchase 150-250 new TTC's and rookie bases combined. We all participate and weed through three rounds of drafts until we get our top 30 drafts who competed against our All-Pro players who showed that they can be at least equal to the players already competing. It takes a few weeks but boy, does it work well. It is an evolving improving Kaisen Philisophy that focuses on constantly improving the process and the performers. This season's draft was not as good as last season, but during the season each coach knows what they are looking for in the draft. A playoff team from the year before doesn't get a draft pick unless they traded off for one the previous season. We record it all. It's very organized. Hope this helps. LIEFL TACKLE LEADERS at Week#4 DOESN’T Necessarily mean they are the best players! For that we vet the players and decide by offensive points scored, Power and overall Performance as to who receives All-Pro Honors for the 32 Man Pro-Bowl Team. 8. SEATTLE WINS IN MAJOR UPSET OF DEFENDING AFC UNDEFEATED DOLPHINS DROWN ON HOME TURF!September 12, 2020 Miami, Florida. THE COUNTDOWN: History is not something new to the Miami Dolphins in the Long Island Football League. They made history for years in this league until the changeover to TTC bottoms, and the mental mindset changed. It changed to create a league with the goal in mind to build 32 fiercely competitive teams no matter what. The teams should be able to compete at the same level to maintain balance and productivity in the league. The measurement tool for that is witnessing teams who had losing records the season before, who have become winners as a result of the draft. We did it with the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, and these Miami Dolphins after losing 18 total games in three consecutive seasons. The Dolphins were at the bottom of the barrel until last season, through the draft they turned it all around with Mark Duper, Mark Clayton, Jason Taylor, two great tackles in AJ Duhe and Manny Fernandez. The anchors to this team are Larry Little and Mercury Morris, but it seems they have slowed up this year, or rather coaches have studied them enough to be better prepared to play this team. By no means is Miami dominant. They are blue-collar guys. The Dolphins made it all the way to the Super Bowl last year where they lost to the NFC Champion and defending 2018 Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams, 44-41 in a spectacular overtime victory! Miami won the AFC title last season. They are much improved, but Coach and LIEFL Commissioner, Billy O'C said, "Yes, we are improved, but we have a long way to go. We need consistency. So far in three games we have been consistent at (3-0), but in this league you can never take your opponents lightly. One false move and it could make or break a game. Every second has to be managed carefully and Paddy Brannigan is on a roll. He's a great coach. His coaching skills are carrying over to the theme of his winning teams. Brannigan has turned Chicago around, Denver, Pittsburgh, and these Seahawks around. All of his teams are dangerous. That makes him dangerous." Brannigan said, "It's tak en the LIEFL a long time to get to this point, but the league continues to grow fiercely competitive all because of the draft. I guess as kids we weren't smart enough to figure that draft part out. We were a little behind most leagues but now that we have figured it out, and over the last 10 years it's been absolutely incredible. The guys that we once thought were great can't even play with the average guys in the league. That's when you know you've created a great League when on any given day, one team can beat another by great coaching and player performance." That brings us to one of the greatest players of our beloved Long Island Electric Football League, Dolphins lineman Bob Kuechenberg. The "Kuech" dominated the league for years. Sadly, Kuechenberg passed away on January 12, 2019. In our league, he was very respected as a fierce player, but as the Tudor products made way for a new era of player bases, Kuechenberg's base is aging as a-year-old bottom that has had an amazing life. It's hard to let go of him, but we found some use for him even at Right Guard. He used to be the center. Someday it's possible that he might even be one of the tight ends when we finally let go of him on the line, which has changed the course of history for this team. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY Seattle Seahawks (1-2) vs. Miami Dolphins (3-0) On the kickoff Dolphins star kick returner Mark Duper ran the ball back 58-yards to open the game up giving Miami great field position at the Seattle 42-yard line. Jason Taylor, Larry Little and Bob Kuechenberg pressed the offensive seems for Mercury Morris. Miami looks undersized in comparison to Seattle's big front line, but they have speed over Seattle. Miami's play calling with Coach Billy O'C is fantastic. O'C believes in the run, but his passing according to other league members, is suspect at best. On first down the Seattle Seahawks stopped Mercury Morris, but on the next run Jason Taylor opened up a hole for Morris which spun Morris right through another hole for a 35-yard gain to the Seattle Seahawk 5-yard line! Great run! The NFC West Seahawks defense just beat-up that Dolphin front three as Morris lost five-yards on first down. Coach O'C quickly adapted by moving players around and meeting the necessary adjustments to compete with a tough Seattle front to figure out what the best match-ups are. O'C just restructured the entire front line after studying one play figuring out where his power needs to go. This confuses coaches who have to be able to adapt and adjust that the same pace. That's a challenge, but that's what makes him an excellent coach. He's figured and re-figured it five times before you set up. On the next play Seahawks lineman Darryl Trapp made a huge tackle on Morris at the Seahawks four-yard line. On third down Mercury Morris caught a quick flip pass from Miami quarterback Dan Marino, as Morris gives Miami their first score of the game 7-0, with 5:39 left in the half! It was Seattle's turn. Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, went into "Beast-Mode" opening up with a blazing 70-yard return as he exploded down to the Miami 30 yard line. Wow! On first down the Dolphin defense just exploded as they attack Lynch for a 15 yard loss. The ball gets pushed back to the 45-yard line of Miami as Coach Billy O'C prepared his defense for today's game. The Seahawks were stopped again, on second down by a relentless Miami defense. On third down quarterback Russell Wilson made a beautiful pass to fullback Shawn Alexander, who ran 45-yards into the end-zone for a touchdown to tie the game 7-7, as time ran out in the first half! Duper took it back 46-yards on the kickoff return for Miami to start the second half. He was hit accidentally by tackle AJ Duhe which prevented a 100 yard touchdown return. Duper had an open field in front of him, cheating his own team out of the touchdown. The Dolphins offensive line started to really go at it with the Seahawks, as running back Mercury Morris picked up a speedy 20-yards to the Seattle 30! The Dolphins were threatening. That was one of the nicest plays we've seen by Morris and the front line of the Miami Dolphins. This game was an intense hard-hitting, fast-paced action-packed game. The Seahawks have put on an impressive performance against the defending AFC champions with 10:30 left to go in the game. On the next running attempt by Miami, the Seahawks defensive line came through again. This time they buried Morris at the 45-yard line on first down and Miami had to be thinking pass from the 45 yard line. Miami put an incredible amount of pressure on themselves on third down. Quarterback Dan Marino was about to be sacked and he had only one man open that he could see in Miami fullback Larry Csonka. Marino unleashed a pass to Csonka who fell 12 yards short of a first time, putting Miami in a very tight spot. The ball went back to Seattle after Miami was forced to kick a field-goal from the 32-yard line to give the Dolphins the lead 10-7, with 7:14 left to go in the game! Slawson's Corner Andrew Slawson who was at the game said, "Coach Billy O'C made one mistake on that play and it is going to cost him the game because had Mark Clayton wide open down field an he totally missed the play. Brannigan is going to expose that mistake and take advantage. Clayton was fighting his way out of the play and he was wide open on the right side of the field and Marino missed the play entirely as the clock ticks away and the ball goes back to Seattle." On the ensuing lick-return Miami's Jason Taylor made a great tackle Lynch's 41 yard kick return. On first down Seattle picked up five-yards on the play. Then Lynch took over with runs of 5 and 17 yards to the Miami 38-yard line with 3:03 left to go in the game with time running out. Seattle's Joey Galloway caught a 34-yard pass but went down at the one yard line with 41 seconds left to go in the game. Seattle's Marshawn Lynch becomes the hero on the game's final play as he catches a one yard touchdown from Wilson to upset the undefeated Miami Dolphins on their home turf 14-10 in a thunderous finish! After the game Billy O'C said, "That one play that Csonka made caught cost me the game, I never saw Clayton. That's all it takes is one mistake and today, I made the mistake. What could I say? I'm not happy I made a big mistake. I should have waited the extra second but that's one of the problems when you only have a second to think, we make mistakes and this is one of those times where I cost my team a victory. In this division you can't afford to lose games because now it gives Buffalo a chance to recuperate and the Jets and even greater chance because we play them next week in New York." That's not going to be an easy game at all for the (3-1) Miami Dolphins. Miami has to go back to the drawing board and prepare for their division rival New York Jets (2-2), and Seattle has just improved their chances of making the playoffs, but they still have a very difficult road ahead as they face two red-hot teams on the road in Philadelphia (2-1) and Washington (3-1)! 10. SEPTEMBER 11, 2020 ELECTRIC FOOTBALL PATRIOT DAY MEMORIAL GAME PATRIOTDAY: The countdown to this Long Island game has built up such intensity not just for the game of electric football, but because of the memories we all hold dear to our hearts. We all felt the earth crumble on September 11th, 2001, as we here who reside in the New York Metropolitan area went to work early that morning only to learn that the World Trade Center had been attacked. Anyone living in this vicinity, just 32 miles from downtown Manhattan knows someone who died in the towers. Some of us could smell the smoke, some could smell the bodies, some picked them up, wrapped the American flag around them, paused and prayed. Commissioner of the LIEFL and Professor of Communication at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, NY, and former news reporter William O'Connell said, "We all here in New York felt so close to this tragic event. My neighbor was just 32 years-old. I saw her on September 9th, playing on a trampoline with the kids in the neighborhood on the side of another neighbor's house. She was beautiful in every way. Her smile was infectious. She brought cookies to my house when my child had cancer. She left two very young daughters, and her wonderful husband behind. Her name is Debra Manetta." Professor O'Connell continued, "Times were fogged in this country for quite some time, and it gave many of us a numb feeling, some filled with rage, so we had to find a way to reel those bad thoughts in and do something positive. We did fundraisers and anything we could to help the families of the fallen souls of September 11th. One of my students years later shared a piece of steel with the class that represented what was left of both his father and brother who he lost that day. We all touched it, it was cold, almost cold as ice, and it had a brown colored tint to it. We all cried for him. People seemed to unite in such horrific times. It didn't seem to matter who you were, people became colorless and human beings for that one day. We felt like we were brothers and sisters. We are Americans. Not a single one of us would be here today, if Adolf Hitler had his way. Heroes saved America. Some don't care, but we have to because it is those heroes who gave us the air we breath, the security we have, our dignity, and the pride of who we are." Long Island Electric Football sponsor and Founder of Bridge Capital Solutions, Pan Am Games Gold Medalist and Two-time World Champion USA Swimmer Greg Jagenberg said, "Today is a day of deep reflection. It is a day that the spirits rise within us to commemorate the lives of 2,977 people who were killed that day, and thousands thereafter from all kinds of diseases. That day, from the Robert Moses Bridge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, we could see the smoke billowing in the clear blue sky. We lost too many friends. It is hard to fathom." Another huge fan and friend of our league is the great Ray Negron, movie producer and New York Yankees Special Advisor and Community Service liaison to the late George M. Steinbrenner,III. Ray has worked with the Yankees for nearly 50 years. Negron said, "The event of September 11th was so horrible that it brought strangers together. The losses we suffered I will never forget. New York is my home. It has given me a life people dream about, and it is a place that gives us that feeling that we all own a part of the Big Apple. When Professor O'Connell asked me to take a look at electric football, what amazed me is not only the sportsmanship and competitiveness, but the care you all have for people. It is really wonderful." Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Andrew Slawson of Slawson's Corner said, "It was particularly hard because Professor O'Connell's child was battling cancer at the time and it seemed like our world was becoming hopeless, but reflecting back I think it changed us all. It made us appreciate what we have." As everyone grouped around and held hands like brothers, O'Connell ended by saying, "I always ask Mother Earth to find her spirit again, to make love to the world, and to bring back the unification we seemed to have had that day as a nation, and we pray for those who those souls we lost as well as those so filled with misguided hate that they unleashed it on innocent people, so that we can make our world a better place for the sake of our children. Please refrain from judgement and embrace the haters of the world so that we can understand them on a meta-cognitive level." THE COUNTDOWN: The Chicago Bears Nation reflects with the country in prayer for those who perished on September 11th as we play a game dedicated to the human spirit and since none of us are immortal, we bring out immortality in the plastic player figures that plan to outlive us all. Electric Football has been there many times for us. We couldn't think of a more passionate way to live this day then to include something that makes us happy, rather than focus on sadness. Sooner or later the Bears will have to amp-up their running game, but WOW, the excitement is trembling for this anticipated match-up between Paddy Brannigan's Bears (2-1), and Coach Billy O'C's undefeated Indianapolis Colts (3-0)! The Bears have beaten some teams. In Week#1 Chicago played a historic opening game to begin the 2020 season, losing to division rival Detroit 34-28 in overtime! The Bears put up a fierce battle! There were nine touchdowns and 900 yards in the game! What they showed that day in Detroit was the transformation from a team rebuilding foe two seasons, to an offensive powerhouse. Any team that can hang with Detroit at that level opens eyes. In Week#2, Chicago came right back to fight the war by beating the New York Giants 16-10, in overtime, and last week in Week#3 they beat the undefeated Atlanta Falcons on the road 21-14 in overtime on the "Dirty-Birds" home field! To say they are a contender is not going to far. Billy O'C's Indianapolis Colts are supercharged. This is a different Colts team this year, and running back Joseph Addai having a comparable season to Bears superstar, Willie Gault. Two stars in the league, playing in the same game seems to be the standard in the LIEFL. Addai has 39 carries for 785 total yards with five touchdowns, and Gault has lit it up in the NFC with 12 carries for 660 yards and four touchdowns. The Bears need a running threat. Walter Payton only has 76 yards rushing. Then the Bears have Mike Ditka who has become a huge threat as the #1 receiver in the LIEFL. Ditka has only three catches, but the damage he has done in the open field has posed a threat to defenses this season. Ditka has three touchdowns. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Indianapolis Colts (3-0) vs. Chicago Bears (2-1) The moments were heating with emotional coaches on Patriot Day. We'd like to think that in those little player figures that seem to have their own set of emotions who we've coddled for years, it's almost as though they are talking to us at times, but in reality we bring them to life. With some Bruce Springsteen music in the background the opening kickoff came from Chicago's Willie Gault, who's having a sensational year. Chicago Coach Paddy Brannigan was wearing his Chicago Bears dark jersey with Richard Dent's number 95. Coach Billy O'C wore his American flag bandanna and a black Adidas shirt. In the room he has a Cuban flag hanging, which represents the country that his Olympic International volleyball player mother came from. On the opening kickoff Willie Gault took it back 55 yards to the Colts 45-yard line! The Colts defense kicked in hard as they stopped Bears running back Walter Payton on the first two runs that he attempted. On third down, Mike Ditka got the extra step on Indianapolis linebacker Robert Mathis, and Ditka ran 47-yards into the end-zone on a Jim McMahon touchdown pass 7-0 Chicago, with 10:38 left to go in the half! You could hear the burst of energy come from a full house on hand as lunch was ordered! The Colts didn't waste any time at all as running back Joseph Addai took back the kick-return 40-yards! Addai and the Indianapolis offense with Elmer Collett in the middle opened the trenches for 5-yard run on first down. Then on second down, Addai blasted through a hole and took it 55-yards on a scorching run into the end-zone to tie the score 7-7, with 5:51 remaining in the half in a spectacular game! On the Bears second possession, Gault returned the football 45-yards at the Bears own forty-five yard line. Walter Payton and the front line of the Bears started to move the ball with Number One Draft pick Don Hampton at center as we watched Payton run for a first down to the 44-yard line with 1:37 left to go in the half. This was a heck of a defensive football game between these two outstanding teams and coaches as Indianapolis rose to the occasion on Chicago's home field. Payton picked-up four more yards on second down as the second half got underway. Payton was just getting warmed up. We haven't seen him highlighted in the first three games because Willie Gault and Mike Ditka have provided more than enough offensive firepower. On the next play, Payton exploded around the right side of his front line for a 20-yard run for the first down. One play later Payton followed up with another bruising 20-yard run for a touchdown to make the score 14-7, Chicago gained the lead with 13:40 left to go in the game! Another WOW performance! Coach Billy O'C was calm as the Chicago Bears threatened his undefeated Colts. O'C had 13 minutes to undo the damage He said out loud, "Great play" when Payton scored the touchdown, showing some true sportsmanship. On the ensuing kick-return Colts back Joseph Addai ran the ball out of bounds at the Colts 23-yard line as we attempt to guess and follow the coach's strategy. That out-of-bounds run might have been altered on purpose to play games with the clock. Billy O'C may have a trick or two up his sleeve. Unbelievable! On first down Addai was stopped from the left side by Ditka, and then on second down, Gault came in from the opposite side of the field and slammed Addai to the turf for a short gain of two-yards, forcing a third down for the Indianapolis. The Bears played absolutely great defense on behalf of Paddy Brannigan! On a tremendous explosive play through the middle on third-down, Colts receiver Marvin Harrison reeled in a great pass over the middle of the field from Peyton Manning. Harrison marched the ball 75-yards into the end-zone with blazing speed for the score to tie the game at 14-14, with 7:08 left to go in the game! What a tremendous explosive run for Harrison! On the kickoff Willie Gault took a beautiful 57-yard kick return back to set up the Bears next running attack with 5:29 left to go in the game as the intensity grew! On an amazing end around play, one play later, Walter Payton scampered 39-yards for the score to give Chicago the lead 21-14, with 2:58 left to go in the game with time running out and ticking down! After a 45 yard kick return by Addai, the Colts had one play left as they looked for the magic. Quarterback Peyton Manning threw a dart to receiver Raymond Barry who took the ball 31-yards up-field, but the Colts were forced out of bounds at the Chicago Bears 29-yard line as they ran out a time. The Colts managed to kick a field-goal to make the score Chicago 21-Indianapolis 17! What a stunner! What a game! The Chicago Bears (3-1), beat the undefeated Indianapolis Colts (3-1), in an incredible finish in a game that came right down to the last second! What a game! The Bears head to play division rival Green Bay next week in what will be a war for the division title, and Indianapolis heads home to play the Tennessee Titans. Chicago's Walter Payton rushed for 97 yards on nine carries with two-touchdowns. Willie gault returned the ball three times for 157 yards! Indianapolis Colts star Joseph Addai had 7 carries for a total 170 yards with a 55- yard touchdown, and we can't forget Ditka or Harrison who made this a game to NEVER FORGET ON 911!
  11. Thank you so much my brother. We paint and decal them ourselves those are the 67 big men and I always liked those players on the Cardinals. I love their look especially the white uniforms they just look so clean right? Terry Metcalf does not get much action but OJ Anderson's having a great season. St Louis is a tough City and I really wish the Cardinals were still there. I appreciate your kind thoughts thank you.
  12. PANTHERS OUTPLAY CARDINALS IN 17-14 THRILLER! September 10. 2020. Charlotte, NC. THE COUNTDOWN: If we tried we don't think we'd be able to put a better match-up on paper between Coach Kevin "Mac" Maloney's Arizona Cardinals (2-1), and Matt "Zoo-York" McQueen's Carolina Panthers (1-2). This game is loaded with stars in a league of performers who continue to reach new standards! These two teams are ready for battle in REMATCH#3 in the battle of the Long Island Football League road to LIEFL-Super Bowl XVI in Tampa, Florida. In 2018, these two teams came to a dramatic finish in the NFC Divisional Championship Game when the Carolina Panthers defeated Arizona 38-35 in overtime! The following year in 2019, the Panthers played a more convincing game in the NFC Divisional Championship Game, dominating the Cardinals 49-35! This battle is not only a battle to win, but it is a battle between two excellent coaches. McQueen said," To beat this team twice was really hard work. If we work hard and ignite the Foster-Jones combination, it is going to be a great game!" Arizona started out on fire this year, but the Cardinals lost last week in an upset to Detroit as the Lions handed the Cardinals their first loss of the season on Arizona's home turf. The Cardinals must rise to the occasion on the road tonight in order to beat these overly competitive ferocious Panthers. But, the Panthers are in trouble too. They desperately need to win this game to stay in the playoff hunt. We had to call our analytical expert in for this one. Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, Andrew Slawson studies these teams by the numbers. "The Cardinals are not quite at the top tier in the league this year. When they faltered at home against Detroit that is all I needed to see. They still have two very difficult road games left against a hot New England team, and the two-time defending Super Bowl Champion Rams. As for the Panthers, they are unpredictable, but they too have a few challenges on the road in Minnesota and Green Bay. Depending on the records in their division, it will be tough for either of these teams to make the playoffs. You have to understand how difficult it is to win on the road in this league. We are talking about high-impact, fast paced action with time management a critical part of the game. It's the ones who win on the road in the league that go to the playoffs and further. That is a road that very few teams can travel and we've seen a lot of changes in the league. The talent level has gotten better and the fast setups make the game go really fast and at a very intense pace. If you're a coach who's not used to fast-paced football, it would be extremely difficult to survive in the league. I think the Panthers are going to come out on fire today against the Cardinals. It's like having thirty, two-minute drills. With a full house on hand to watch this big game between the Cardinals and Panthers, there is a lot at stake, more so for Carolina because they've lost two games. The Cardinals view of reality is also a challenge with the Rams playing the way they're playing, coming off a gigantic win over Buffalo in overtime 16-10! It gives the Rams an advantage in their division. The Cardinals have to perform. Both teams are fighting for another shot at the Super Bowl. Zoo-York McQueen isn't happy about his two losses or the schedule that the Panthers are fighting against this year. Every year somebody gets a schedule that they don't like, and unfortunately this one belongs to his Panthers. That difficulty in their schedule translates into the Panthers having to play at a playoff-level, which is not uncommon for a team who's made it to the NFC Championship Game two consecutive seasons, losing both times to the Rams. THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Arizona Cardinals (2-1) vs. Carolina Panthers (1-2) On the kickoff the Cardinals seemed ready to restart the winning machine. The big Carolina fullback Greg Jones, returned the ball 52-yards. The Arizona Cardinals defense came to war! It took the Panthers almost 13 minutes to score a touchdown. Panthers running back DeShaun Foster ran seven times until finally Foster got into the end zone to make the score 7-0, with 2:09 left to go in the half! And on a beautiful kick-return by Mel Gray for Arizona, Gray ran back a spectacular kickoff buzzing through Carolina defenders for 84-yards as time ran out in the half. One play later running back OJ Anderson ran in a 16-yard touchdown untouched right through the Panther front-line tying the score 7-7, with 14:39 remaining in the game! The intensity in the room was incredible. The Long Island Electric Football League Week#4 action is really heating up as Greg Jones exploded for 73-yard kick return! It only took one play for Carolina's DeShaun Foster to run into the end-zone from 27-yards out to give the Panthers the lead 14-7, with 11:16 left to go in the game! The battle for victory is incredible. Mel Gray took the ball back 42-yards on his second kick return as the drive for yards is unleashed. The Arizona front-line moved the ball for OJ Anderson. Anderson ran the football four straight times for 21-yards to the Panther 38-yard line. The Carolina defense fought hard and forced a third down pass with 4:29 left to go in the game. Larry Fitzgerald caught a beautiful Ty Murray pass and Fitzgerald, with blazing speed, flew 46 yards into the end-zone for the touchdown to tie the score 14-14, with 2:05 left to go in the game! What a dramatic game this has turned into. A thriller! Everyone was up on their feet with lots of loud noise in a packed house! On the kickoff return Jones smoked the field with an 86-yard blazing run to the 13-yard line of the Cardinals with 1:35 left to go in the game with time running out on Arizona. This incredible dramatic momentous buildup boiled down to one more run by Foster as he was stopped at the line of scrimmage with seconds to go. Carolina kicked a game-winning 12-yard field-goal in a dramatic finish to win the game 17-14! Unbelievable! The Carolina Panthers (2-2) play Minnesota and Green Bay on the road. Arizona goes to New England to play a hot Patriots team (1-2). Panthers fullback Greg Jones had 211 yards as he paved the way for Foster and Carolina to beat Arizona.
  13. WASHINGTON BEATS UNDEFEATED RAVENS GIVING THEM FIRST LOSS OF SEASON! September 10, 2020. Washington, DC. THE COUNTDOWN: Oh baby, what a match-up! He's back! Johnny Freeport-Chucker brings his red-hot undefeated Baltimore Ravens (3-0) to Washington, DC to play the Washington Football Team (2-1) in the Long Island Electric Football League. Washington is a true test for the Chucker because he faces one of the best-of-the-best coaches in Eddie "The Goat" Viggs! Chucker is having a year though! Coach Viggs said, "Whatever he's doing to win, I have to give him credit because these do not look like the Ravens of Old. They are really building a team here. I expect a tough, close game today. I've studied Jamal Lewis and Derrick Mason, and they are lethal. The only way to prepare for this team is to try to slow them down. One thing is certain, the Ravens and my team are going to perform." The Chucker said, "I ain't scared of Viggy's Washington, whatever you call them. If I can get the game to overtime, it's mine!" Viggy said, "My high school football coach Tom Howard is a legend. He always played amazing Notre Dame Fight songs before our games and he gave amazing speeches. That is what really gets me going before a game. This team is destined, and these fight songs I play are uncontested. It's good old smash-mouth in your face football for an opponent like Johnny-Chucker." THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: Baltimore Ravens (3-0) vs. Washington Football Team (2-1) No matter how controversial the Washington Football Team has become, it was a full house on hand to watch this game! As is his tradition for his 1984 LIEFL-Super Bowl VII Champion Washington FT, on the opening kickoff Viggs had "Hail to the Redskins blasting throughout the room! "Hail to the Redskins, Hail Victory. Braves on the Warpath, Fight for OL' DC!" In dramatic fashion, Tony Green took the opening kickoff back for Washington for a hundred yards and the touchdown as Washington exploded for a 7-0 lead, with 14:33 left to go in the half! WOW! Everyone erupted as the music finished and the play was complete. Viggs raised his fist in the air and circled in a POW-WOW! All Tradition! The Long Island Electric Football League and its characters! It was the Chucker's Baltimore Ravens turn. The Chucker had his Ravens prepared and on Baltimore's opening kick-return Derrick Mason took it back 45-yards. One play later, Jamal Lewis shot through the line like a cannon running 55-yards behind his blockers for an amazing touchdown, 7-7 into the end-zone! The room went wild! After a 51 yard kick-return by Green, Washington struggled on their first two runs from scrimmage. The Baltimore Raven defense showed how relentless they are on the next play. Washington went absolutely nowhere, losing 33 yards in the process and the WFT were forced the pass on third down. The momentum and charge could be felt as this high intensity battle heated up between two very competitive coaches. Washington quarterback Alex Smith threw a screen-pass to receiver Charlie Taylor, and Taylor blasted off from the left sideline to the center of the field for an electrifying 83 yard touchdown play to put Washington ahead 14-7, with 3:40 left in the half! Taylor's touchdown was just three yards shy of tying Tampa Bay Jimmy Giles 86-yard touchdown record that Giles set last week against Denver. On Baltimore's next return, Mason returned an electrifying 78-yard kick to the Washington 27-yard-line. These two teams and coaches went at it. On the first play of the Ravens drive, running back Jamal Lewis blasted his way into the end-zone again, this time for a 12-yard touchdown run with 14:44 left to go in the game with the score tied at 14-14! The kicks off's went back and forth. After Tony Green returned the ball 41-yards, he had two very nice runs of 11 and 13 yards, and then the Ravens defense swarmed Green at the 45-yard line and brought him down hard on first down. Washington did not give up on the run with the HOGS, Butz, Manley, and Mann leading the way. On a beautiful end-around play by the Washington football team's front line, Tony Green got turned up-field and he ran in for a 34-yard touchdown with nobody around, making the score 21-14 Washington, with 7:26 remaining in the game! The roars in the room were contagious in this exciting game! This game could have gone either way as the Ravens took the ball to their own 31-yard-line by Derrick Mason. It was time for the Freeport-Chucker to manage the clock. He realized he needed to manage the time properly so that his Ravens could attempt to put this game into overtime with time running out! On first down Jamal Lewis tore through the right side of the Washington line on his way scampering for a touchdown in the open field, but he got turned by Mason who spun him for a dramatic 35-yard gain, bringing the ball to the 35-yard line of the Washington Football Team with 3:30 left to go in the game! On the next play, Lewis exploded for another amazing run, this time for a 35-yard touchdown as the Raven Front-line made it happen with ferocious tenacity! The Ravens tied the game 21-21, with 2:50 left to go in the game! There was a full house on their feet! With time running out on the ensuing kick return for Washington, Ravens lineman Marshall Yanda made a near game-saving hit on a 72-yard kick return by Green to save the Ravens from 100-yard kick return at the Ravens 28-yard line with 1:47 left to go in the game! Washington sealed-the-deal with that Tony Green run as they invaded deep into Baltimore territory. Time was running out on the Baltimore Ravens undefeated season thus far. What a game by these running backs and offensive players! After a final 10-yard run for a first down by Tony Green with 7 seconds left, Washington kicked the game winning field-goal to spoil the Ravens undefeated season 24-21, in a spectacular ending! The Chucker packed his team and walked out, red in the face, but Coach Viggs told him, "Great game man, really, you played amazing as they shook hands." Chucker replied, "We have unfinished business my friend." Washington (3-1), travels Dallas next to face the (1-2) Cowboys in a hot division showdown, and Baltimore (3-1), heads to Pittsburgh to face their division rival Steelers who are (2-1). The "Bus" Jerome Bettis is rolling in Pittsburgh and the war will be a great one in Week #5! Jamal Lewis ran for a season-high 147 yards with three touchdowns rushing on six carries and Derek Mason had three returns for 154 yards! Washington's Tony Green exploded for 332 total yards with two touchdowns. He had four kick returns for 264-yards and a one hundred yard TD, and he ran for 68-yards with a 34 yard touchdown giving him 35 carries with 824 total yards, five touchdowns, two of them for a hundred yards in the 2020 LIEFL season! Watch out LIEFL, it is getting more and more intense between the coaches, the rivals, and the entire league!
  14. LIONS ROAR TO (3-1) WITH BUSSY'S HEROIC 300-YARD GAME TO BEAT NEW ORLEANS AND REGGIE BUSH 235 YARDS IN AMAZING SHOWDOWN! September 9, 2020. Detroit, Michigan. THE COUNTDOWN: The New Orleans Saints (1-2) and the Detroit Lions (2-1) will be one heck of a Long Island Electric Football League game today. The Saints are beginning to lose that BAD BOY image they earned last year as the spoilers of playoff hopes. The Lions are coming off of a tremendous road win over the undefeated Arizona Cardinals who they beat in overtime last week, 20-14! Lions Superman running back and LIEFL PLayer of the Week in Week #1 Dexter Bussy, had over 200 yards in the game against Arizona. Bussy is having a tremendous season, but he's playing against an excellent defense today in the New Orleans Saints who are all riled up. Coach Kevin "Mac" Maloney said, "I know Slawson is going to count us out, but I have a few surprises up my sleeve to slow up Bussy." Maloney's Saints face the loudest guy in the league in Johnny Freeport-Chucker LaFramboise, who has been involved in winning some incredible games this season. The league Bad-Boy has out-coached and improved his game and skills. Chucker said, "We are ready for New Orleans just like we were ready to give Arizona a beat down last week. Nobody is stopping Bussy in case you all haven't noticed. Keep counting me out and making me the underdog. I am okay with it, but this is a message for Mac, 'You can't beat me.' The Saints are overrated, and the coach is stagnant! This isn't just about winning for me. This is about making my time a historic team with a winning tradition so that when we step on the field against any opponent, we get respect. We made three straight NFC Championship Games in the past four seasons, and in this league, that should say something, especially with the Drafts and the constant improvement of the league." The Saints have given up only 38 points after three games and they have the 4th best defense in the NFC behind Green Bay, Washington, and the New York Giants. None of that seems to matter when it comes to Bussy as he has tallied up the yardage this season and it seems we say this every year, but this might be one of his best seasons ever! He is playing at a record-breaking pace. Bussy has totaled 814-yards with seven touchdowns against a particularly challenging schedule. The Lions beat the Bears, lost to the Packers, and they beat the Cardinals. Long Island Sports Hall of Fame inductee Andrew Slawson of Slawson's Corner said, "It is too soon to tell, but the Lions are without a doubt going to make the playoff unless something crazy happens, like they lose the last three games, but the last three out of four games they play are at home. I say they go (5-2) and bull their way into the second or third seed in the playoffs. New Orleans is finished this season. They were supposed to be on the rise, but to me, they have not played well at all. Even their defense is suspect, and against the great one's like Bussy, one mistake could mean lights out. If you haven't watched the highlight film after each week, just see the damage Bussy can do. It is like he is alive." THE PLAY-BY-PLAY: New Orleans Saints (1-2) vs. Detroit Lions (2-1) It didn't take long for the Detroit Lions to show the New Orleans Saints who's boss! Detroit running back Dexter Bussy came out like lightning and fire to open the Lions home game with a 93-yard kick-return to the Saints 7 yard line, WOW! Two plays later Bussy ran in a touchdown from 17-yards away after being pushed back 5 yards by the Saints defense. Detroit scores first 7-0, with 11:30 left to go and a half! On the New Orleans kickoff Reggie Bush took it back 46-yards. Bush had five yards on his first run, but on his second run, he was stopped hard by a swarming Lions defense forcing a third-down for the Saints as Drew Brees faded back and threw a quick dart to his favorite receiver Jeremy Shockey, who picked up 19-yards and a first down as New Orleans brought the ball to the Detroit 38-yard-line with 6:05 remaining in the half! Detroit's defense stopped the Saints again on the run, but on third down Reggie Bush took a 45-yard touchdown run into the end zone on a rocket from Drew Brees to tie the score 7-7, with 1:34 left to go in the half! As the clock ran down in the half, Dexter Bussy exploded for an amazing hundred-yard touchdown run to put Detroit on top 14-7, as time ran out in the half in an incredible game! New Orleans came storming right back with a 30-yard kick return from Reggie Bush! The Saints made their move and drove 70-yards downfield in six dramatic plays, with Bush running for 8, 25, 3, 16, 12, and finally a 5-yard touchdown run as Bush sped into the end zone tying the score 14-14 with 5:42 left to go in the game with everyone on their feet! On the next kick return Dexter Bussy stunned New Orleans by taking his second incredible kick return back. As ran downfield he got turned at the 30-yard line as he was going out of bounds both Herman Moore and then Doug English gave him another amazing turn to make way for another hundred yard touchdown run in an amazing game by Bussy. He was almost magical on this kick return, doing things noone can do! 21-14 with 4:30 left to go in the game, the Detroit Lions take the lead! As time ran low on the clock, Reggie Bush ran back a 40-yard return and Lions defensive end Bubba Baker slammed him at the 40! On first down tight end Jeremy Shockey caught a side-winding pass from quarterback Drew Brees as Shockey ran the ball 32-yards to the Lions 28-yard line for a first down with 1:21 left to go in the game, with the clock running! The Chucker is on a roll! As he clinched his fist in the air with a smirk, he said, "You gotta believe" and when you do great things happen. I feel it." And on the last play of the game Darren Sproles came up just short of tying the game as the Detroit Lions win in dramatic fashion 21-14! What a dramatic ending! The Detroit Lions are (3-1). All-Pro Dexter Bussy has ignited the Lions! Bussy totaled 300 yards with three touchdowns, two of them hundred yard returns! Unreal! The Lions play the Houston Texans (1-3) next week. New Orleans played a fantastic game. Reggie Bush totaled 235 yards, 74 rushing, 45 receiving, and Bush had 116 yards on kick-returns with two touchdowns. The Saints remain dangerous as they play the Denver Broncos (2-2) in Week#5!
  15. TEXANS RALLY TO WIN FIRST GAME OVER VIKINGS 24-21! September 8, 2020. Houston, Texas. THE COUNTDOWN: Win or lose the Houston Texans have played in some close games, but they came out on the wrong end of the "W" column. It's been a very tough year for the rookie Coach Levi Vick in his inaugural Long Island Electric Football League. Vick, who won the Super Bowl in another Long Island League last year, came over through Coach Pizz to fill an opening we had for someone who had Covid-19 in our league. For the most part the rookie coach has performed decent. He is (3-11) on the year, but what is important is that he has not quit! We respect that. When our other coach returns, both he and Bino, our alternate coach, will take on teams with each coach losing a team, or some will lose more than one team. Changes are coming in 2021, including huge sweepstakes! The Texans are (0-3), but that does not limit them from being a decent football team. Houston can compete in any League and that is said with confidence because with Houston running back Ron Dayne in the backfield, he has been the one consistent Force in the Texans ability to stay in the game. Today, Dayne has a chance to get things started for the Texans and just because they are (0-3), doesn't mean they're going to lay down and quit. The Minnesota Vikings have to get things going here too in order to stay in the competitive race in the highly competitive NFC North Division, with the Packers (3-0), the Lions (2-1), and the Bears (2-1), Minnesota cannot afford a loss. The re-surging Green Bay Packers have been flawless, and the Lions and Bears have been super! Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee and analyst of our Slawson's Corner said, "I really like the Texans because I like Ron Dayne and he seems to be able to just do it all, but if the Texans start to think about next year they have to think about putting together a different front line because if you don't put bodies in front of Dayne, it limits him. What he would do if there was better blocking is blow teams away. On the special teams unit he is explosive, but with blocking, we would be looking at a team with a triple-threat with Griffin and Johnson." THE PLAY BY PLAY: Minnesota Vikings (1-2) vs. Houston Texans (0-3). The LIEFL National Football Conference has proven to be a tremendous enemy and very difficult obstacle for AFC opponents. It's hard to figure out who's got the best defense in the NFC, but the Vikings will run right through a decent Houston Texan Front-line when push-comes-to-shove. Houston's Ron Dayne opened the game with a nice 36-yard kick return, but he had a head on collision with Minnesota's Chuck Forman. On first down, Dayne ran for a quick 6-yards, but the Vikings put up a wall of resistance. The Texans on third down were forced to pass as they tried to figure out the Minnesota defense. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson threw a great sideline pass to receiver Andre Johnson for the catch. Johnson took the ball 40-yards downfield for the first down to the Minnesota Vikings 16-yard line with 9:32 left to go in the half! And after two consecutive failed runs by the Texans, Watson hit tight end Ryan Griffin for a 15-yard touchdown pass as the Texans take the lead 7-0, with 4:12 left to go in the half! The excitement began in this tremendous Week#4 event! On first down for the Vikings after a 50-yard kick-return by Adrian Peterson, Peterson then exploded right through the core of Houston's front three for a 50-yard game-tying 7-7 score, with 2:07 left to go in the half! On the next kickoff, Texans running back Ron Dayne brought the ball back 34-yards and he was crushed by Minnesota defensive lineman Jim Marshall on the play as the first half came to an end. The Texans moved the ball. Ryan Griffin caught a beautiful 33-yard pass from Watson to bring the Texans to the Minnesota 33-yard line for a huge first down! On the Texans next run, Dayne ran into a wall for a 12-yard loss as he was hit hard by Vikings defensive end, John Randall. On second down, Watson aired out a terrific pass to Andre Johnson who reached out for a 47-yard touchdown catch to make the score 14-7, Texans in the lead with 8:41 left to go in the game! This one is a nail-biting thriller with two very focused coaches! On the next kickoff return Adrian Peterson exploded for a rumbling hundred-yard touchdown return, igniting the Viking offense and tying the score 14-14, with 7:17 left to go in the game! Peterson and the Vikings offense came alive! This was Peterson's best game of the season to date! And on the very next play Ron Dayne answered the Vikings with a blazing hundred yard kickoff return of his own, back-to-back touchdowns between Minnesota and Houston as Dayne put these Texans ahead 21-14, with 6:21 left to go in an electrifying game! Dayne ran that hundred yard return in between two blockers, John Randall and Carl Eller. What a spectacular skill play! Adrian Peterson took the next kick-off return back 75-yards for Minnesota! These two teams are on fire! And, on his first run from scrimmage with 3:53 left to go in the game, Peterson barreled his way through the outside of the Houston line for a 25-yard touchdown run, his third of the day! The game was tied at 21-21, with 3:53 left to go! Everyone was holding their breath as Ron Dayne returned a scorching 54-yarder with 2:28 left to go in the game. The Texans wasted no time. They went right back to Andre Johnson until they drained the clock, enough to keep the ball away from Peterson. The Texans kicked the field-goal from 46 -yards to win the game 24-21 in a great finish for the Texans as they win their first game in Week#4! Both offensive weapons had spectacular games. Houston Ron Dayne totaled 234 yards with two touchdowns on 10 carries as the Houston Texans (1-3) face a red-hot Detroit Lions team next week in Week#5. The Minnesota Vikings have a lot to be proud of in this road game. Adrian Peterson tore up the Houston Texan defense with 5 carries for 300 total yards and three touchdowns. Peterson rushed for 75 yards in his most impressive outing of the year for coach Pizz as the Vikings (1-3) to play the Panthers, the Bears, and then they finish the season at Detroit to play the division rival Lions. 16. JETS TRANSFORM TO VICTORY IN UPSET OVER ORANGE CRUSH DEFENSE 24-21! September 8, 2020. Meadowlands, NJ. THE COUNTDOWN: It’s like a shark versus a Dolphin this Long Island Electric Football League match-up between the Denver Broncos (2-1) and the New York Jets (1-2)! Will the shark get vicious or will the Dolphin outsmart the shark in its territory? The Broncos have been on the move for the past two seasons in the league and Coach Brannigan feels that Terrell Davis will lead them to the playoffs this season. After all he’s the #1 guy in the LIEFL stat department. That's not enough, said Sawson's Corner's Andrew Slawson. "In this league and any league around the country a team has to develop the skill to win on the road. That is where the Broncos are lacking. They need at least one road win to show what they are made of. Stats don't always win games!" Davis has the best numbers in the league. In fact, he is on fire! He has 845 all-purpose yards with 7 touchdowns, three of them for a hundred yards! Coach Brannigan agreed with Slawson. "We know he is multi-diverse, but in rushing TD has produced 186 yards. In other words, we are explosive, he said! Slawson said again, “I am not convinced yet by the Broncos. When they win a few games on the road then we can talk about these Broncos. No doubt they are tough, but they haven’t played many tier-one teams yet. They lost 14-13 to the Chargers in the last game of the season under pressure. That cost them a playoff run.” Denver play the Saints next week, the Bills and the Raiders in the season finale. THE PLAY BY PLAY: Denver Broncos (2-1)(LIEFL-Ranked#3/104-61-1 All-Time) vs. New York Jets (1-2) Terrell Davis touched the ball three times for 240 yards with two touchdowns, and Shannon Sharpe scored a 60 yard touchdown, but it wasn't enough to beat the red hot, sizzling New York Jets coached by Joey Pizz! But really, it was teamwork that impressed most for the Jets offense as they sent the AFC a HUGE message today in Week#4 of the Long Island Electric Football League! They are going to fight to the finish! Denver's Davis became our first player to join the 2020, 1,000 yard club! One thing for sure is the Long Island Electric football League remains unpredictable from week-to-week. We never know what to expect from any team. The Jets faced their toughest opponent of the season in the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are not the same team as last year or the year before. They're a team that has a revived explosive running game. The one thing you can Bank on for the Jets is unpredictability! To start the game Wesley Walker took back a 43-yard kick return. Bruce Harper has had a decent year thus far, but Coach Pizz told us that he is determined to work his team into the game by moving the ball around to different weapons in order to keep the Broncos fogged! Harper ran for 23-yards on his first two runs as the Jets opened up the whole left side of the Denver left side of the line right past All-Pro Karl Mecklenberg. Coach Pizz put his former All-Pro Tackle in the middle and for today, that changed the entire game plan for the Denver defense as Hill controlled the trenches! As Hill led the way up the middle, he also pulled right and left the entire left side open as Marty Lyons busted his way through both Andy Muaer and All-Pro Rubin Carter. Lyons has been a noticeable Jet star this season. Coach Pizz moved the line around a bit, but his offensive strategy was brilliant! He got all of the play-makers involved and they made BIG plays. The Jets were not backing down to the Broncos and after a 19-yard run by Harper, quarterback Sam Darnell faded right and tossed a pass to Le'Veon Bell for the first score of the game making the score 7-0 Jets, with 7:06 left to go in the half! On the Broncos first possession Terrell Davis ran an electrifying and explosive run with blazing speed on the left hand side of the field for a hundred yard touchdown return to tie the score 7-7, with 5:48 left to go in the half! Davis has been the best runner in the league thus far. When the stunned Jets got the ball back, Le'Veon Bell returned the kick 34 yards. Bruce Harper took over, but the Denver defense denied Harper any yardage and instead, the Jets lost 20-yards, bringing the ball back to the Jets 15-yard line as that tremendous defense of the Broncos started to rev-up their engines with 2:30 left to go in the half! The Jets decided to switch running backs and give the ball to Bell, who on second down ran an amazing 56-yards up-field to the Bronco 28-yard line! What a tremendous play by the Jets making this one very exciting as the first half came to a close! After the Denver defense stopped the Jets on two runs, Darnell threw a pop-pass to tight end Don Maynard who took it to the two yard line for a first down for the Jets with 11:14 to go in the game. Maynard had a 33-yard pass play from Darnell as we watch Coach Pizz' Jets distribute the ball evenly getting the whole entire offense involved. The Jets are looking like a first-rate production here in New York against one of the best teams in the AFC! In Week#4, when things tend to happen in this league the players get used to each other and the coaches start to understand the big picture and they play at a playoff pace, and that's what we have right here. The intensity is growing! On that first run the Jets get pushed back to the 18-yard line for a 14-yard loss. The second play was unbelievable! Don Maynard broke Free from Rob Lytle's coverage at the 18-yard line as Maynard went in for an 18-yard score making the score 14-7, Jets with the lead, with 6:35 left to go in the game in a tremendous turn of events! Unbelievable! Terrell Davis returned his second hundred yard touchdown of the game making the score 14-14 with 5:23 left to go in the game! You would have to be here to believe it! That's Davis' 5th hundred yard touchdown in four games! On New York's kick return with time running out, Wesley Walker returned the kick return 36-yards, and then on the first down, Darnell threw a missle-strike to Wesley Walker, who ran 64-yards into the end zone to put the Jets ahead 21-14, with 2:14 left to go in the game! Brannigan looked on in shock as his Denver Broncos desperately need the game tying touchdown to possibly get the game into overtime. What a game! With 14 seconds remaining in the game, Broncos quarterback John Elway, faded back and threw a beauty to Shannon Sharpe for a 60-yard touchdown pass to tie the game 21-21, and the game is goes into overtime! WOW! As luck would have in the BIG-APPLE, the Jets remain in a New York State of Mind, winning the coin toss in overtime! What excitement! The game the room was going crazy on this one as we all witnessed the making of an upset! The Jets stood their ground and the person who's indirectly going to receive this statement is the Miami Dolphins who face the Jets in week five! On second down, the New York Jets kicked a 48-yard field-goal! Suddenly, the New York Jets have become a contender as they defeat the Denver Broncos in 5:28 of overtime 24-21, in one of the most incredible displays of teamwork! The Jets are finally learning to put it together as a team beating a very respectable 2020, Denver Bronco team at home. Let's not forget that Terrell Davis had an explosive 240-yard day, but the star of the day became New York's Le'Veon Bell who had 136 total yards, and a touchdown along with Wesley Walker's 64 yard touchdown play! New York plays Miami (3-0), in a huge showdown next week and Denver play New Orleans (1-2) at Mile High in Denver! Coach Pizz said, "The Jets are going to play you to the very last second and that is how we win. We mixed it up and confused Brannigan enough that he couldn't set-up fast enough to think through the play. It's the league, and it's the time. You need to be able to do it all in this league. The clock is an effective way to win games. It isn't like other leagues with all these clock-stops, turning players, and other stuff like passing sticks. In this league it is more realistic and game-like situations that we have a second to react to."
  17. THIS IS AWESOME!!!
  18. Hope you are great!!! There is a star on my page. Did I need to do something? It won't let me edit--a field pops up
