  1. LIEFL PRO BOWL "Where men become boys again.": NFC'S BRADSHAW STEALS SHOW TO WIN PRO BOWL! He did it again! It was the NFC and New York Giants Ahmad Bradshaw who stole this year's Pro-Bowl show in the NFC's right to brag by beating the AFC All-Stars 17-14! WRITTEN BY LEVI VICK WITH JOEY PIZZ. (LONG ISLAND, NY JANUARY 4, 2023). A few weeks before our LIEFL Super Bowl and playoffs, we traditionally play our Pro-Bowl. The new stadium main field buildout is incredible. The Roman columns arrived, (see below) and we made the field ambience look amazing. We have vintage posters hanging behind the main field which adds to the backdrop. The coaches are going crazy about it! It is like Gladiator Coliseum, fit with advertisements, Roman columns throughout, palm trees and a real vintage feel to it. It is the perfect stadium to transport to Florida to play a Super Bowl in. Retired Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker finally did something productive with his time by building this stadium. When we play a game we sit next to each other rather then across from each other when playing at Pizz and Chucker's house. Once the Pro Bowl game began, it was all business for the two coaches playing each other. Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw set the tone for a tough NFC team returning the opening kickoff 46 yards. The NFC All-Stars took charge handing the ball off to Philadelphia Eagles running back Keith Byars three times for 11 yards, but he was stopped on his third run attempt. The tough AFC line made their adjustments to stop the run with Miami Dolphins lineman Larry Little making two tackles. As soon as they did that, NFC Coach Joey Bino decided it was time to give the ball to the big man, Atlanta Falcons Gerald Riggs. Riggs will be under the microscope when his Atlanta Falcons play San Francisco in the NFC Wild Card Game tomorrow. That NFC front three of Atlanta's Bill Fralic, Green Bay's Willie Davis, and Carolina's Kawaan Short opened a tiny hole only to be shut down by LIEFL Defensive Player of the Year AFC Los Angeles Chargers lineman Earl Faison, who stuffed the run. Bino spread the offense and decided to run in the opposite direction towards the weak side. His strategy worked with Conrad Doebler at tackle opening a lane. Riggs ran right through it with intensity and the high speed and pace of the game with runs of 8, 2, 17 and a 16-yard touchdown run to put the NFC ahead 7-0! New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski got the AFC off to a great start with a 54-yard kick return. On the first set of downs the NFC stars played hard. It was Arizona Cardinals tackle Conrad Doebler who had 10 tackles this season, who made a big hit on Los Angeles Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson and the AFC found themselves in trouble real quick trying to earn a first down. On third down AFC Coach Levi Vick threw a rocket to Gronkowski who showed blazing speed as he cut into the middle of the field and ran 46 yards for the touchdown, 7-7, game tied! The second half was owned by Ahmad Bradshaw who opened the second half with an electrifying 100-yard touchdown to put the NFC ahead 14-7! What a run! The AFC wasn’t having it and the other star, Las Vegas Raiders return man Dave Casper, the seven-time LIEFL All-Pro, blazed across the right sideline on the ensuing kickoff, then to the center of the field for a 100-yard touchdown! Coach Levi Vick screamed, “Bring it on baby as the excitement drew a loud response!” Casper has been consistently sensational as a player base in the Long Island EFL. He is the first guy that changed the game in 2008 when he beat the New York Giants and Coach Joy Pizz in 2008 Super Bowl XI 27-21 in OT! It was Casper's speed and directional that impressed everyone, and that was the beginning of the LIEFL Draft system that changed every team playing this game in this league. Former football lineman and All-County Wrestler from Bay Shore High School, and Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, Historian Andrew Slawson said, " I love watching and analyzing the big games and I've gotten to understand the league, and I find it incredible that something like this exists for grown men to do. Billy O'C's innovation paved the way for every coach in this league. It has made this a highly competitive league because once a guy is weak, he's fired and on to the next one." Coach Joey Pizz said, "O'C said he will search high and low for the best possible player bases that fit into the league's Draft until we find the best of the best to compete on the field. The method is proven and the league is becoming elite so that when we decide that our playing days are over we can donate an elite league to someone. That's what I would like to see happen. Pass it forward to a responsible worthy group. Our safekeeper of the league isn't going to just let go of part of our childhood history without being responsible." With time running out on the clock in the game, Giants star Ahmad Bradshaw returned another kick but he was hit hard by Denver Broncos tackle Andy Muear for a 29-yard return. The NFC left their last bit of running for Washington’s Tony Green who had runs of 6, 7, 10, and 5 yards until 1 second remained on the clock when the NFC kicked the game winning field goal as the NFC wins the 2022-23 Pro-Bowl, 17-14! New York Giants star Ahmad Bradshaw went from winning this year's LIEFL Offensive Player of the Year to showing us why he is that go-to guy in the big spot! Bradshaw won Pro-Bowl MVP for his three touches for 175 yards and one 100-yard touchdown run in the game! Atlanta’s Gerald Riggs finished with 43 rushing yards with a touchdown. As for the AFC it was Patriots star Rob Gronkowski who had a super performance along with Raiders Superman Dave Casper who ran back the 100-yard kick return for a touchdown. Gronk finished the game with 100 all-purpose yards for this AFC All-Star team! It's on to the LIEFL Playoffs! 3. LONG ISLAND ELECTRIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE ANNOUNCES DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2022-23 SELECTION FOR THE LIEFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR LOS ANGELES CHARGERS EARL FAISON Most people have never heard of this legendary player who was selected by the coaches of the Long Island EFL, but suffice to say what we did in our league because of the extensive process that goes into painting and decaling teams, we thought it was best for each coach to pick the Legends of the Game when it comes to who will make an 11-man roster slewed with talent. It would be too much work to change decals and do repairs each year so we went all out and spent weeks before making our final all-time team rosters decision in preparation for purchasing, decaling, and reinventing our league to be the 67-Big Men league. We made thousands of dollars selling our old league so that we could purchase the new figures for this league back in 2008. Please give a hand for the man of the hour. He my be plastic but he is a plastic warrior! This is yet another difficult decision to make when it comes to this award. We are talking about from 352 players in the league there was a nomination from the AFC and NFC. The player MUST be a force, must stop the great players, must be the backbone in the trenches, must have opened eyes in the league and talked about, not as an average player, but a warrior who we believe in when the game is on the line, when your team is down and you need one yard to go for a first which is the difference between winning and losing, and that player from the AFC to win Long Island Electric Football's Player of the Year is two-time Defensive Player of the Year, #86 Earl Faison, Lineman. In real life, Earl Faison was a member of the Chargers Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Indiana University Hall of Fame in 1990. In his post-playing career, Faison briefly dabbled in acting, including Kolchak: The Night Stalker and a pair of appearances in The Beverly Hillbillies. He then returned to California as an educator and football coach, and while at Lincoln High School, he served as head coach during the era of future Pro Football Hall of Famer Marcus Allen before eventually serving as the school's principal. He later coached P.E. at Muirlands Junior High School in La Jolla. It was there that he coined the term "grabasser" for unruly students. Faison later went on to become the Vice Principal at University City High School in San Diego. At 6'5" 270 pounds, Mr. Earl Faison passed away on June 16, 2016 at the age of 77. Faison is the key to the Los Angeles Chargers (6-1) season. The Chargers are the only team in the LIEFL to win six games, and that's three consecutive seasons they have accomplished that honor, there is a reason for that. Faison starred on both offense and defense. He is the lead guy that has been the powerhouse in front of running back LaDainian Tomlinson's rushing success earning two straight rushing titles. Along with All-Pro Ernie Ladd, the Chargers have won 28 games with only 4 losses since 2018. Their biggest losses came to the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 LIEFL Super Bowl XIV 31-28, and then in 2019 the Chargers lost to Buffalo 49-48 in the AFC Divisional Championship Game in a major upset. In 2020 Los Angeles lost again to the two-time defending AFC Champion Miami Dolphins in a 32-27 war! Los Angeles will face the winner of the AFC Wild Card Game between the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins! Congratulations to Chargers Coach Ed Viggs on this great achievement. abcd.jfif earl.jfif
  4. Long Island Electric Football League 2022-23 All-Pro FIRST TEAM AWARDS LONG ISLAND EFL NFC FIRST TEAM ALL PRO 2022-23 NFC FIRST TEAM ALL PRO: Left to Right: 47-TB-John Lynch, 66-AZ-Conrad Doebler, 87-GB-Willie Davis, 99-CAR-Kawaan Short, 79-ATL-Bill Fralic, 81-MIN-Carl Eller, 56-PHI-Byron Evans, BACKFIELD: PHI-41-Keith Byars, 34-WAS-Tony Green, 44-NYG-Ahmad Bradshaw, ATL-42-Gerald Riggs, 85-AZ-Mel Gray, 88-TB Jimmie Giles Here they are! Our Best 13 from each conference for the 2022-23 Season of Performers! Historically, before we play post season games we have the task of selecting our awards. We are still voting on Defensive Player of the year which will be announced later today when the votes are returned. Selecting All-Pro Awards for Electric Football is no easy job. Our coaches put great thought in to selecting the TOP 30 players for All-Pro from the American and National Football Conference, which makes up the Long Island Electric Football League. This task is complex and we have to base the results on statistical data, write-up's, coaches input, and finally past proven track records from the previous season. It is not an easy task, but we wrap our minds around the cognitive process by studying each team from 352 players, how they performed, and how they match up to the other players at their position's in the league. For that tough job above, we are lucky to have Andrew Slawson, Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee and sports historian as well as expert statistician. In addition to Slawson helping us select, each coach gets to pick from a list of every player from all 32 teams. We narrow the list to 30 players with majority rule as to who makes first team. It is an exciting event for us because we then use our First Team All-Pro players to compete against hundreds of player bases from the upcoming February Draft. 5. LONG ISLAND EFL GALE SAYERS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD: LIEFL OFFENSIVE BEST OF BEST PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD: 2022 NYG-Ahmad Bradshaw 17-1379-6/6x100TDS #44 New York Giants. For his 17 touches for 1379 yards with six 100-yard touchdowns, New York Giants kick returner Ahmad Bradshaw was voted the Number #1 most valuable offensive player in the LIEFL this season. Bradshaw's electrifying kick returns were felt around the league helping to lead the New York Giants to an NFC EAST Title! He flat out won games for New York, who went (5-2), scoring the most points in the LIEFL with 149 in our 6th consecutive 7-Game Season. Bradshaw's performances of 268, 361, 197, 269, 84, and 178 kick return yards with six 100-yard touchdowns carried the Giants the entire season. He also earned Player of the Week for his three 100-yard touchdowns in a game in Week #2 versus division rival Washington, who the Giants will play in the first NFC Wild Card Game on Friday January 6, 2023. For that, Bradshaw will earn the Gale Sayers Offensive Player of the Year Award for the Long Island Electric Football League. The coaches felt that he should win this award because while the LIEFL Leading all-purpose yard gainer, Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai had more yards, his stock didn't finish as well with the Colts being eliminated from the playoffs, finishing (3-4). Addai will win AFC Offensive Player of the year, but not LIEFL BEST OF BEST PLAYER OF THE YEAR! 13. LIEFL WEEK #7 NEWS: PATRIOTS RIDE THE WAVE AND DROWN OUT MIAMI ON THE ROAD TO CLAIM DIVISION TITLE! It seems second year LIEFL Patriots Coach Levi Vick's aim is Super Bowl after pulling off a major 21-14 upset on the road against the LIEFL back-to-back AFC Champion Miami Dolphins. New England's star player Rob Gronkowski managed to stay a step ahead of the Dolphins defense with his 203 all-purpose yards, including a 62 yard touchdown reception to carry this tough New England team into the AFC playoffs , clinching the AFC Eastern Division title in the process! What an UPSET! 2022-23 Long Island Electric Football Playoffs! Long Island Electric Football League. January 2, 2023. Happy New Year! The Playoffs are set! Thank you for reading our LIEFL Forum page. Our league is locked out and filled with eight stubborn, bold, and hardcore METAL-BOARD warriors who are all childhood best friends who lots in common, especially the fact that we refuse to quit playing this game now, so we live in the moments with busy lives and schedules. We have been very busy winding down our final week of regular season games and onward to the LIEFL 2023 Playoffs! What an exciting week it's been in our New Years electric football jamboree! After playing 114 games, we finally completed our regular season. We noticed the coaches’ attitudes have adjusted, the game faces are on, and the money is on this line with some intense electric football still to be played. The build up at the end of our season has lots of drama, probably like your leagues. We play for money, fellowship, and the love of the hobby! The LIEFL exclusively uses the Tudor Games 67-Big Men in our league with no modifications to players. We also play with all 32 NFL teams in what will be our 6th consecutive 7-Game season. Prior to that from 1974 to 2000 we played 14 game seasons, but life got in the way, and we didn't want to lose the passion for our hobby so the 7-Game season in 2008 was created by our league Commissioner Billy O'C to keep the tradition of electric football alive. We encourage building the hobby through your stories and leagues. This is our 50th year in the hobby and our league is well documented. We also encourage you to check out the National Electric Football Game Museum. So, welcome to another exciting week on Long Island in our final week of regular season play in the Long Island Electric Football League with some great matchups and coaches. What a wild week it’s been! Last week history was made in the league again. Coach Viggs and his Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings 17-14, to give the Packers their 100th LIEFL win! GATORADE REPORT: We saw big upsets again in Week #6! The Buccaneers beat the Jets 17-14 in overtime on their home turf with a spectacular performance by Tampa Bay specialist Jimmie Giles. In addition to Miami losing to Tennessee, we saw the Seattle Seahawks crush the playoff hopes of Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker and his Detroit Lions with Marshawn Lynch fueling his atomic delivery of 331 all-purpose yards with four touchdowns, two of them hundred yarders, knocking the Lions out of the playoff picture! After every season since 2008, we match new player bases up against our First Team All-Pro’s to strategically weed out player bases in search of replacements to make an under-performing team more competitive. Every team in the LIEFL has been the beneficiary of the incredible draft we held. We only wish we were smart enough as kids to do a draft, but we couldn’t afford to buy electric football accessories every year. Now we hunt for the right fit, the right player base, the right chemistry for each coach and each team. It's an amazing process which has the LIEFL souring. The league is all about time, toughness, strategic and mental preparation, and most importantly understanding speed and that time clock. The LIEFL AFC 7-Game Season Rushing record is on the verge of being broken in Week#7 by Los Angeles Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson. Tomlinson needs just 42 yards rushing to break Miami Dolphins Mercury Morris’ 2019 mark of (59-693-13-TDS) in a 7-game season. Also, we failed to include the Indianapolis Colts (3-3) on the playoff equation and Coach Billy O’C was not happy. The Freeport-Chucker was in on that one. The Colts have the leading offensive producer in Joseph Addai in the Colts race to the finish line! LET’S DIVE INTO WEEK #7 ACTION: NEW YORK JETS (3-3) VS BUFFALO BILLS (3-3) And so it was a game with the potential to determine a potential playoff spot for the AFC Wild Card team in the AFC East. The New York Jets against the Buffalo Bills, both (3-3), and a fiery match up to say the least, especially being division rivals. What a game it was! It may sound crazy, but the Jets defense dominated on the line of Blue and Green, but it was Buffalo, the more experienced team who capitalized on the Jets and Coach Joey Pizz mental errors. Buffalo's OJ Simpson's 66 yard kick return set up the Bills first score when Simpson himself scored the first touchdown on a 25-yard touchdown to take the lead, 7-0. The Jets had a slow start to their special teams and it was Buffalo defense who stopped New York on every play on the first set of downs, forcing the ball back over to the Bills. And Buffalo took full advantage with a Josh Allen rocket to Andre Reed for a 48-yard touchdown strike that put Coach Billy O'C's Buffalo Bills ahead 14-0! O'C wasn't letting up! In the second half it, the Jets fell apart. They played no better, made no adjustments, and they had few answers to the Bills stunning capable offense. The Jets faced the same exact scenario as the previous set of downs with their backs against the wall. Coach Joey Pizz tried to move his offensive line around but a stubborn Buffalo defense stood in the way. Determined, Buffalo stopped the Jets again, and the ball was turned back over to the Bills. One thing the Jets did was push back on OJ Simpson's running game holding Simpson to just eight rushes for 21 yards on the ground. And it was Andre Reed yet again for Buffalo, who picked up the pieces on blown coverage which put him in the end zone from 16 yards away and again Billy OC passed a rocket to Andre Reed for another 16 yard touchdown! On the Jets next possession, they looked impressive too-little-too -late, with a beautiful Wesley Walker 42-yard kick return. One play later with seconds left in the game, Le'Veon Bell ran a 58-yard touchdown run to close the game at 21-7 Buffalo with the Bills eliminating the hefty New York Jets from the 2022-23 Playoffs! The Jets would be the first of several teams eliminated from the playoffs. It was a sad ending for the Jets who played so hard this season, but the curse of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is to blame. They cursed the Rams, the Jets, and who is next? The Bills (4-3), now have an opportunity to advance into the playoffs and that is a dangerous scenario for all teams if they get hot. They will play #2 New England in the AFC Wild Card Game! Get ready for war! PITTSBURGH STEELERS (3-3) VS BALTIMORE RAVENS (2-4) With a chance for the playoffs on the line, it was the “Comeback-Kids” Baltimore Ravens punishing and eliminating the Pittsburgh Steelers from the playoffs beating Pittsburgh in a 17-14 battle in the AFC North Division as the rivalry continues in Week #7! Johnny Freeport Chucker’s nasty Ravens started the season 0-4, but that ignited Chucker to win three of the last four by beating the elite Green Bay Packers, then the Los Angeles Rams, and now the Pittsburgh Steelers eliminating them the playoffs. Chucker said to his best pal Steelers Coach Paddy Brannigan, “That’s the way the cookie crumbles. You guys talk trash, I back mine up.” We aren’t finished! It was the usual Stars like Jamaal Lewis who won the game for the Ravens. LIEFL All-Pro Derrick Mason had three kick returns for 179 yards which set up Jamaal Lewis on the run. Lewis powered his way to 34 yards rushing on the ground. It was the tight end Mark Andrews who had a great 68-yard touchdown reception on broken coverage by the Steelers which gave Baltimore the lead. On the other end of the ball Steelers running back Jerome “Bus” Bettis met a swarming Baltimore defense. Bettis ran for 51 yards and a touchdown, but really it was Lynn Swann who kept Pittsburgh in the game with 125 yards on kick returns, one of them an 82-yarder which set up Bettis’ 18-yard touchdown run in the first half. Swann had a 35-yard touchdown catch but it wasn't enough to beat the Ravens. What a heartbreaker for Pittsburgh (3-4), but Baltimore (3-4) played a relentless and determined game. Chucker said, “It's wait and see at this point for my Ravens. I can beat Cleveland and I can beat the Bengals.” Does Chucker realize that he may not have a chance to play either because his Bengals face the Browns in the season finale? The Browns and Bengals can’t tie for the division title, but it would take a miracle for the Bengals to beat the Cleveland Browns (3-3). Chucker also owns the Bengals so he will get that chance to upset Cleveland. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (1-5) VS ATLANTA FALCONS (4-2) Johnny Chucker showed up again late this time to play against the Saints. When the whistle blew and the clock started, a determined Chucker lit it up and put his Falcons in the playoffs for the first time since 2017 when they lost in the first round of the LIEFL 2020 NFC Divisional Game to Minnesota 21-17. In 2019, the Saints delivered a hard blow to Chucker’s streaky Dirty Birds, ruining their playoff hopes in the last game of the season beating them, 26-21! Chucker never forgot it. Chucker said, “Today is revenge day, we are not losing to an average coach and a horrible team who won all the top drafts because they are so bad.” Mac responded by saying, “Talk to the hand Chucker, we will be the curse of the Falcons!” Well today anyway, Mac was wrong. He made mistakes and Chucker capitalized. It was Gerald Riggs and Jamaal Anderson who made the difference in the game. Riggs was banged up good by the New Orleans defense with just 37 yards rushing and he had another 75 yards with one kick return. He finished the season with 61 touches for 1572 all-purpose yards with 11 touchdowns, one for 100-yards! Anderson scored on a sweet 25-yard touchdown reception. The question is which Falcons team will show up for the NFC Wild Card Game? Saints star Reggie Bush had 102 all-purpose yards on the day. Bush had a great season even with the Saints losing 6 games. He had 64 touches for 1265 all-purpose yards with 7 touchdowns, two of them 100-yard touchdown returns! The New Orleans Saints finish at (1-6). The Atlanta Falcons are (5-2) and they punched their ticket to the LIEFL NFC Playoffs as we await the playoff schedule and end of the season final results. The Falcons played tough, play for play against these Saints ensuring that there would be no upset by beating New Orleans 14-7! Coach Mac’s Saints are not to be taken lightly, they can compete hard and have had the top picks for three straight seasons, but it seems they are undersized for 67-Big Men. We have a good 10 extra teams in their plastic bags of the 67-BIG MEN and Mac may hand select 22 of them and repaint his Saints for the upcoming 2023 season this September. Sometimes change makes a difference. TENNESSEE TITANS (5-1) VS HOUSTON TEXANS (2-4) It was all Coach Levi Vick’s Houston Texans Superstar and a player whose become one of the legends of the LIEFL Ron Dayne, who was way too much to handle for the Titans! The Texans stunning crushing of the top team in their division was evident when the Houston offense rolled right through this testy Titans defense, beating Tennessee 14-3, in the final LIEFL Week of the regular season! Vick said, “Inheriting this team has been such an honor. Ron Dayne is a super back. It’s like he’s alive, (Laughing) and watching him play and do his magic is incredible. I’ve played a lot of electric football and this guy is a BEAST! I worked hard on the Texans in the offseason, and we finished strong. We are only going to get better and battle for this division because we saw today who the better team is.” The news of the day really was the Texans offense and defense that squashed any movement of the ball for the Titans. This is not uncommon in the last game of the season to happen but suddenly the Titans raise a red flag about playing games on the road. It's very possible they'll face the Cleveland Browns in the first wild card game. The Cleveland defense has been dominant, and it won’t be any walkover against the Browns revived defense. Ron Dayne did a lot of damage on his own swinging right and speeding past the Titans defense for short burst yardage finishing the game with 12 carries for 94 rushing yards with two touchdowns. The elite back had 192 all-purpose yards in the face paced game, finishing the season with impressive numbers. Dayne was in the top five in several categories in rushing, receiving, kick returns, and all-purpose yards, and he made the LIEFL record books again with his huge 169-yard rushing game with a 74-yard touchdown run against the tough Cleveland Browns defense! LIEFL Coach Kevin Mac said, “We have watched all the videos from other leagues on YOUTUBE and the tournaments too. We love them, even Harrington Benton, the World’s harshest EFL Critique of all our leagues with his EFL Pro-Football, but he too would struggle with the set-up times and rules and pace of an LIEFL game. This is one of the reasons why we don’t compete in tournaments anymore, it has nothing to do with losing, our guys have won and lost plenty, it has to do with time and rules that slow up the pace, tempo, and natural free-flowing continuity of the game, which loses effect when there are too many time delays. We want our game to be old-school, fast paced, action packed, and performance driven just like in the NFL. Your guy can’t play? He’s gone! I build my teams on that premise, to compete. Worth writing about because of his productivity, this season Ron Dayne rushed 49 times for 489 yards with 9 touchdowns, he had 18 touches for 944 yards in kick returns with two electrifying 100-yard touchdown returns, and he had a great all-purpose finish with 72 touches for 1590 yards, with15 touchdowns in the LIEFL 2022-23 season! Those are big numbers for any player in any league, and Big numbers for Dayne. Dayne holds the Texans all-time all-purpose record with an incredible 8,451 all-purpose yards with 60 touchdowns. That’s a player with a proven-track record and an incredible pattern of consistency! Tians Coach Kevin Mac said, “Vick is a skilled coach. We just didn’t play well today. We are still a work in progress and now I have to get this team ready to compete for the playoffs and fix what is broken. Our defense needs to be more consistent, and the offense needs to get better. We had a tough schedule, but then again, every game is a war. As a coach I have to be ready for anything if I am going to take this team to a LIEFL Super Bowl.” CINCINNATI BENGALS (3-3) VS CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-3). The Cleveland Browns are a tough team and Cinderella favorite to possibly pull off some upsets in the AFC Playoffs after clinching the AFC North Division. The Browns shut down and shut out the Cincinnati Bengals 10-0, holding the Bengals to just 73 yards in the game! Cleveland’s defense has been tested this season, ranked in the Top five. The story of the day was the balance the Browns have and the mix of players who are performing at top levels. The Bengals had a steady dose of Cleveland running back Mike Pruitt’s speed. Pruitt rushed 12 times for 85 yards with a touchdown. People are questioning the Browns legitimacy as a playoff team in what coaches like Johnny Chucker think is a weak division. Jim Brown has had an excellent year, but the Browns need him to lead the team into the playoffs with more action. He had that big 417-yard all-purpose game against the Raiders in week three after being named LIEFL Player of the Week, then he went ghost. He had 809 all-purpose yards with 4 touchdowns, four of them 100-yard kick returns, but in the final three games Brown has produced just 212 all-purpose yards with zero touchdowns. Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Andrew Slawson of LIEFL’s Slawson’s Corner said, “Come on man, these coaches are Pro’s, maybe the coaches caught on and found a way to stop Jim Brown’s kick return success, and they’ve adapted their game plan to make stopping Brown a priority by keeping the ball away from him as much as they can, but with that said a coach can’t be asking which Browns team will show up today? He has to step up if this team wants to win in the playoffs.” Brown finished the day with a 34-yard kick return. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (3-3) VS JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (2-4) The season may be over for the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) and Coach Levi Vick, but not without the Jags defense rampaging Billy O’C’s Indianapolis Colts (3-4) by eliminating the Colts from the AFC playoff picture 10-3! It’s been a day of collapse in the LIEFL for some of the best teams in the league. We can't help but acknowledge Coach Billy O'C's silent warrior Joseph Addai and the magnitude of his play in the league. Addai finished the season with 53 rushing carries for 579 yards just behind AFC leader LaDainian Tomlinson, and Addai had 14 rushing touchdowns. In the end, he had 73 total touches for 1,730 all-purpose yards with 15 touchdowns! That is something to build on for the Colts who were eliminating from the AFC Playoffs today. Jaguars running back Fred Taylor played another great game for the Jaguars. Coach Billy O’C said about his opponent, “The consistent Taylor had 12 touches for 161 yards with a 37-yard touchdown catch. Where did all those yards go, I asked myself? I love playing against Taylor because you know he’s showing up to play and put on a show! Bring a defense if you are playing these guys.” Vick said, “Taylor is our foundation. He isn’t playing for the statistics, he’s playing for a title every game! It is quite an accomplishment when my team shuts down a top elite offense and runner in the conference in Joseph Addai! We gave him notice that he’s being put on ice today. We held him to just 53 total yards and that’s the end of the story right there! My defense is stacked with the LIEFL AFC Best defensive tackle in LIEFL Rob Meier who had 14 tackles last season. I am bringing the beef!” The only team who took a step backward this season for Vick, is Dallas. Fred Taylor finished the 2022-23 LIEFL season with 69 touches with 1,359 all-purpose yards and 9 touchdowns for Jacksonville. The workhorse is formidable as the Jaguars’ all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 7,434 with 36 touchdowns! “Jacksonville has improved a great deal. As we’ve been saying in this league, nobody is safe and depending on your game plan, it’s anyone’s game, said Billy O’C after watching his Colts fall. I am just so disappointed in this team because we made it to the playoffs last season and lost to Denver. Back to the drawing board. Just when I think we are there with talent, BOOM, another coach and team did a better job building their team to win. Winning is a habit and so too is losing. We don’t want to just win the division, we want the division, the conference, the title!” NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (4-2) VS MIAMI DOLPHINS (5-1) WOW! New England Coach Levi Vick’s is opening eyes with his tremendous Nassau coaching style putting LIEFL coaches on notice that there is a NEW Sherriff in town! Vick quietly put them in their place as his New England Patriots stormed into Miami to catch some fish! These Patriots came ready, armed, and like powerhouse underdogs not only did they beat division rival Miami 21-14 on their home turf, but they dished out a heavy casualty to Miami Coach Billy O’C, who had no answer to stopping Rob Gronkowski running for 203 all-purpose yards and onward to the AFC Divisional Playoff Game! “Gronk’s” stellar performance puts him at 22-1260-5/3x 100TDS with all-purpose yards for the season at the top of the AFC for Coach Vick’s star player. New England held Miami’s Mercury Morris to just 30-yards rushing. Miami’s damage was done on special teams by Mark Duper who rose to the occasion with 210 all-purpose yards with a hundred-yard kick return for a touchdown, but what happened to Jason Taylor leading the Dolphins defense? He was handled by New England lineman Billy Yates along with Vince Wilfork who stopped Mercury Morris on a key fourth down to turn the ball back over to the Patriots who capitalized with a huge touchdown 62-yard touchdown catch by Rob Gronkowski to tie the game at 14-14. Miami was stopped again by a relentless New England defense, and it was Randy Moss who scored the game winning touchdown for the Patriots on a 27-yard strike! The Patriots now have the momentum after stomping the back-to-back AFC Champions to win the AFC East title! It’s Miami’s second defeat in as many games! If for anything else, this New England team should be respected for climbing to the top of the AFC after earlier losses to Miami 10-7 and the New York Jets 21-10, but can they finish or will they and Miami fold? Vick worked hard on rebuilding these Patriots mid-season and now he has a chance to make history in just his second year as a LIEFL coach! This is a much different team than the 2016 Patriot team who made it to the LIEFL Super Bowl XII when Dexter Bussey and the Detroit Lions beat them 42-17. The Patriots are on the rise and the hottest team in the AFC! This has been the best LIEFL season ever and the balance of teams, the competitiveness, and coaches in this league has been nothing short of impressive with Week #7 on fire with UPSETS! The playoffs will be filled with excitement! The Patriots are beginning to look like Buffalo in 2017, when the Bills had their LIEFL Super Bowl run. WASHINGTON REDSKINS (3-3) VS NEW YORK GIANTS (4-2) (PHOTO: #44 Ahmad Bradshaw whizzes by Washington's #34 Tony Green for Bradshaw's 6th 100-yard touchdown run of the season for New York) Bradshaw has become one of the most dangerous threats in the LIEFL this 2022-23 season for Giants Coach Joey Pizz! Bradshaw is on a rampage, leading the NFC in kick returns with 17 returns for 1379 yards and six 100-yard touchdown runs for the Giants! He finished the season amongst the top five in NFC all-purpose yards with 21 touches for 1457 yards with seven total touchdowns! But, will he shine for BIG for BIG BLUE in the NFC Playoffs this time around? The Giants will be tested and test teams as well! When the the New York Giants lined up in front of the Washington Redskins for the second time this season we knew this would be a good one. Coach Viggs doesn't particularly like the two games against Washington, and nor is he a Giants fan, but that's the schedule. Today, the Giants won the battle against the Washington Redskins for the second time this season, clinching the NFC East against a Coach Viggs NO QUIT Redskins team. Coach Joey Pizz said, “It was sensational to watch my Giants clinch a playoff spot this year after last season’s huge letdown, but the competition is only beginning for us. I am confident after Bradshaw and Barkley’s performance today that we will be ready this coming weekend for battle! Coach Viggs, who plays the Packers, Redskins, Chargers and 49ers said, “In this league we have an 11-man roster so that means coaches must come armed with their best 11 guys on the field, the best All-Stars for each team that a coach can produce, the best of the best, vetted, and tested to endure and be ready to compete. We are not waiting for a coach to switch their offense and defense, it’s all or nothing, and it also makes choosing the best 11 players a coach’s greater challenge!” Coach Pizz said, “We don't have time to change offense to defense in a game, nor are we going to wait in this fast-paced game, it will never be that kind of a league, so it’s bring the best you have to put on that field.” Stopping star running back Tony Green for the Redskins was no easy task. Green totaled 246 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns, one a 100-yard kick return into the endzone. The game was action-packed with great matchups with the Giants Beast of the East Ahmad Bradshaw lead the way for Coach Pizz with a stellar performance. Bradshaw had 5 touches for 217 yards and his sixth 100-yard kick return of the season for a touchdown! The Redskins have had an excellent season winning their 110th team game in the league. Coach Viggs said, “Sometimes the brakes don't go your way in this league or any League leaving us in a tough position like today playing in New York with the world against us, but the Giants are a good football team. The real test is playing teams like Carolina and my Packers, so I am ready!” The Giants are the number one offense in the LIEFL now and boy, the NFC and AFC playoffs this year are going to be unbelievable. Giants running back Shaquon Barkley is having a big year! Barkley rushed for 101 yards on 9 carries with two rushing touchdowns of 21 and 30 yards. The Giants finish (5-2) clinching the NFC Eastern Division title! DALLAS COWBOYS (2-4) VS PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2-4) We couldn't have imagined the game we were about to witness featuring the Eagles-Cowboys. The Cowboys might have one of the toughest schedules in the league, but Philadelphia Coach Matt Zoo-York says it baloney, “We all have tough schedules. Look I am here to compete I expect tough teams every week.” The game started with a boom! Harold Carmichael, who has been quiet this season has a new player base, replacing his legendary one by Coach Zoo, and he is Back! Harold Carmichael is back in the last game of the season after Coach Zoo decided to put the ball back in hands after having issues this season being productive and that is the way it goes when a great player base suddenly doesn't perform, he's gone. The game started with the blazing hundred-yard touchdown return by Carmichael to set the tone for the game. Cowboys star returner Terrell Owens answered right back with an 88-yard kick return and one play later Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith was in the end zone running 12-yards into the endzone for the touchdown to tie the game at 7-7! The Eagles answered with a recipe of Harold Carmichael who ran back his second consecutive 100-yard touchdown right down the center of the field with amazing speed, to make it Philadelphia 14 to Dallas 7! On the very next return, Cowboys star return man Terrell Owens ran a 44-yard return and after being stopped on three straight runs by the Eagles defense led by Hugh Douglas, Emmitt Smith found himself with nowhere to go, forcing a fourth down situation with the Cowboys backs against the wall. On 4th down Cowboys emerging star in the league Michael Irving, who ran a 75-yard touchdown last week into the end zone against Arizona, did the same thing tonight from 83 yards away on a beautiful strike! Irvin took a blazing and electrifying touchdown run into the endzone, what a play! Irvin might be the fastest man in the league, and he may be voted All-Pro for the first time, the Cowboys may have two receivers make LIEFL All-Pro. With the score tied at 14, this time Harold Carmichael ran back a 46-yard kick return, but one play later Eagles running back Keith Byers exploded for 54-yard touchdown run around the Left end to make the score 21-14 with Philadelphia in charge The last drive for the Cowboys was just as explosive as the Eagles, with Cowboys LIEFL All-Pro Terrell Owens BOOMING an electrifying 100-yard kick return for the touchdown, making the score 21-21 with under 3 minutes left to go in the game! What a game! The Eagles (3-4) didn’t finish yet. Running back Keith Byars helped to run the clock out, and then on 4th down with just seconds to go in the game Irving Friar caught a 20-yard rocket to win the game 28-21! What a show! After a great season last year and making the playoffs, Dallas went (2-5) this season to a rough NFC East. Coach Levi Vick said, “I am determined to keep this team competitive. It shows how much the league is growing when things like this happen. My Cowboys are a darn good two-win football team. We’ll see. I think I am going to be looking for at least one linebacker in the draft in February. I would like to see Terrell Owens make All-Pro. CHICAGO BEARS (3-3) VS MINNESOTA VIKINGS (2-4) Going into this game with the Minnesota Vikings (2-4), the Chicago Bears (3-3) had a chance for the post season as a frontrunner to be an NFC Wild Card team. They had an intense and successful season last year, but it looked like this year could be their year at the start of the 2022-23 season. The NFC North is one of the toughest divisions in the LIEFL not just because of the coaching but because of the great players from each team in the division. It seems the division prides itself on defense but with names like Sharpe, Gault, Bussey and Peterson playing, coaches must understand how to prepare for these proven-track guys, and how to limit them from causing chaos. The Vikings started the season hopeful, and they are a team that only got better week by week. They opened the season losing their first two on the road to Cincinnati and Arizona, but then they beat the Seahawks at home, lost to these Bears in Week #4, 7-3, and then they won their last two out of three, beating the Rams, and finally, losing to the Packers 17-14 in a war! Taking on the Bears again in their last game of the season with a chance to eliminate them was a great feeling for Coach Pizz. He said, “If we can’t go to the playoffs, why should the Bears? This is competition man, it ain't no chicken coup!” Adrian Peterson is the key to the Vikings success. Peterson has over 200 yards in special teams twice this season, but he's also had four 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns on his 71 carries. He’s dangerous on the open field so the Bears need to figure out a game plan to close the gaps Peterson is most likely to take, but if you don’t scout his patterns, the challenge could be imposing for defenses. There were some hard hits in the game. Bears defensive tackle Richard Dent had zero tackles in the game. In the first five plays he let the Vikings font line know that he was in the game by making three tackles in five plays. The game was intense. Adrian Peterson played fantastically. He left Dent and Chicago’s defense disappointed today touching the ball 12 times for 150 all-purpose yards with two crafty touchdowns in the Vikings 14-7 win over the Bears, eliminating them from playoff contention. Peterson rushed for 64 yards which allowed the emerging Vikings to kill the clock and control the game. Vikings Coach Joey Pizz was thrilled. He said, “I love this team and I am proud of them. We won’t be pushovers for anyone in this league or any league. We want teams to know when you come to Minnesota you won’t leave happy in this league. It is war!” That Giants victory last week by the Bears 17-14, built Coach Paddy Brannigan's confidence going into this game. Brannigan said, “Anytime you have a guy like Willie Gault on your team there's always going to be a chance to win. It seems every team in this league has Superior special teams, that's one of the keys to the game because the great players set up the great running backs for success.” Gault had his biggest game of the year in LIEFL Week #1, with 182 yards on kick returns and 100-yard touchdown. The Vikings were able to contain Willie Gault to just 93 yards and it was Adrian Peterson who was unstoppable. Peterson’s two touchdowns runs of 6 and 24 yards in front of Carl Eller’s blocking freed him into the end zone. The Vikings never looked back! The biggest eye opener for Minnesota is the front line and their defense. Carl Eller is in the running for All-Pro. He had eight tackles this season and the last time Eller made All-Pro was 2018. The front line of Alan Page, Jim Marshall and John Randall have been very consistent, especially in the second half of the season for the Vikings. Coach Pizz is gunning for some tough linebackers in the LIEFL February Draft. LEAGUE TRASH TALKER HAS BEGUN The trash talking has begun by League mouth and sore loser, Coach Johnny-Freeport Chucker who said, “We have mentioned this before in these articles, but the game doesn’t stop to turn players in the NFL, or set up passing sticks, etc. Obviously, I can't stand the Vikings, they are my enemy and so are the Bears. What is fine for some is not for others. We create our own great competition by having our own tournaments with highly skilled coaches who are a dime a dozen in this game around the world. I can compete in any tournament around the world. You are paying for all my expenses, food, hotel, car, and then I am not playing unless you are competing for a good sum of money in the thousands. Put your money where your mouth is! There is a huge incentive and motive to be the best when there is fair game involved.” League Commissioner Billy O’C said, Chucker can talk all he wants. Let’s see him win this year’s Super Bowl with all that talk. Easier said than done.” “Skill is how each league defines it, how each coach performs, and however we see fit for that $3200 dollar pool at the end of a brutal season with metal board warriors. I don’t know about these guys in the LIEFL, my teams are coming to win, said Coach Paddy Brannigan.” The LIEFL system and picks will always be the 11 best player bases that each coach can find from thousands of player bases expected to perform at whatever the highest-level standard the league reaches. Guys who were great last year might be trash this year. Naturally it's hard to compare one League to the next but the point is, the vetting process is everything. Our newest addition to the league Coach Levi Vick said, “I love it, each week teams get better and better and the coaches more competitive. It’s good to have four teams, but hard to manage, but I never quit, I want to win.” SEATTLE SEAHAWKS(2-4) VS ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-4) After last weeks crushing of the Detroit Lions, the Seattle Seahawks play the Arizona Cardinals in their season finale. One has to ask how does this Seattle team beat up on their opponents at home, yet they can't win on the road? We asked Coach Paddy Brannigan what he is doing differently to prepare for home games versus away games and he said, “As you all know electric football can be mystifying and unexplainable. You can have your team beating the daylight out of a team on offense and they're the same exact 11-men doing the same exact thing, but on defense they might get their butts handed to them. There’re just some things when it comes to physics of electric football that we can't explain it's hard to define why these little plastic figures do this.” It was Marshawn Lynch again who punished the Cardinals defense in this game carrying his Seahawks to a thrilling 17-14 UPSET on the road! Lynch had 17 touches in the game for 245 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns, including 92-yards rushing! His biggest run of the day was a 42 yard scamper into the endzone to shock the Cardinals (2-5). Arizona specialist Mel Gray had 141 yards on returns with a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown, but running back OJ Anderson was stopped by the Seahawks gaining only seven yards on four rushes. Beating Chicago, Detroit, and now Arizona is no easy feat, but it shows how fast a team can improve in the league. The Seahawks fell just shy of making the playoffs. The battle to the end in the league has been exhausting watching teams collapse. Worth the mention is Cardinals tackle Conrad Doebler. He had four tackles in the game trying to stop Lynch. Seattle Coach Paddy "Moose" Brannigan celebrated the destruction of Arizona's playoff hopes saying, "Hey, why should they make the playoffs on the back of my team? We weren't having it. We are a way better team than what we showed with a (3-4)record." Marshawn Lynch had another incredible season carrying this Seattle team. He finished the season with 1469 all-purpose yards with 13 touchdowns with 623 rushing yards in 2022-23! He'll be back! CAROLINA PANTHERS (5-1) VS TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (2-4) Carolina Panthers and Coach Kevin Maloney knew that they had to come out for the kill today and not let this Buccaneers team embarrass them the way the Tampa Bay did the Rams and the Jets. Coach Joey Pizz set out to unravel the Panthers today improving his game and the Buccaneers every step of the way in each game, but it wouldn't be easy. The Panthers have made it to the playoffs four times in the last five seasons with two of those appearances making it to the NFC championship Game only to walk away disappointed. The fireworks began early and Pizz Bucs sent a message early on that it would be a war regardless of it being the final game of the 2022-23 LIEFL season. The game kicked off with Tampa Bay star Jimmie Giles picking up where he left off last week against the Jets with a blazing 100-yard touchdown run to open the game as the LIEFL coaches shows their enormous special teams skills. It is so exciting! That didn't stop the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers gave the Tampa Bay a taste of their top return man Greg Jones, a guy no one knows much about, ran back an electrifying 100-yard kick return in the game, his third of the season, to tie the score, 7-7! On the next set of downs it was Jimmie Giles again who returned the ball 58 yards. And after three failed running plays by the Buccaneers, Dave Moore caught a beautiful 17-yard touchdown pass to give Tampa Bay a 14-7 advantage! On the ensuing kickoff Greg Jones blasted off with a speedy 72-yard kick return back to the 28 yard line of Tampa Bay when he was turned by his own man preventing him from another hundred yarder. play On the first run from scrimmage in the series, Panthers running back DeShaun Foster took it around the corner for a 28-yard touchdown run into the end zone to tie the game at 14-14! Time was running out on the clock, but Giles made one of the most important returns to the 48-yard line, setting up Bucs fullback Mike Alstott for a gorgeous 33-yard touchdown scamper right through the middle of the field to make the score 21-14, Tampa Bay in the lead! This nifty play by coach Pizz wowed Coach Mac. "I have to give Pizz credit on his play calling because we have basically dominated teams on defense this season, but it seems no matter how stiff the competition, when it comes to playing teams in the division, its always going to be exciting." Greg Jones (PHOTO LEFT) sped past Buccaneers defenders for 48-yards on the kick return to set up Jeff King for a 34 yard reception with an open field, but King didn't get the job done. Carolina just flat out ran out of time and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4) Got the last poke of the season at the Carolina Panthers (5-2) who are headed to the playoffs! There is much to be excited about for Coach Pizz heading into next season for these Buccaneers and it will be a season to remember! Holding Foster to 28 yards rushing is a huge success. Jimmie Giles finished the game with four touches for 241 yards with a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown. Giles has been spectacular! For Carolina, Greg Jones touched the ball three times for 220 yards and a 100-yard kick return! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (4-2) VS DENVER BRONCOS (2-4) It is yet another high-impact game between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West to close out the season. Denver's record is not what they are capable of after making it to the playoffs last season for the first time in But the Broncos boast one of the most exciting players in the LIEFL for the past two seasons, Terrell Davis AFC Offensive Player of the year in 2020! The Chiefs have surprised on offense handing the ball back to their solid running back Priest Holmes who before this game was in the top three rushing in the AFC with 45 rushes for 543 yards with 8 touchdowns, including a 60 touchdown run! Denver running back Terrell Davis opened the game with a spectacular 87-yard kick return! Davis led by Lineman Paul Smith ran a 12-yard run touchdown on his first carry of the game, 7-0 Denver! Kansas City came out of fire, not backing down to their division rival with a Tyreek Hill 75-yard kick return to set up running back Priest Holmes and one play later Holmes found himself buried on a pile in the endzone for the score to tie the game at 7-7! Denver receiver Ed McCaffery has been steady all season for the Broncos when they need him most and the Kansas City defense played hard in the game forcing the Broncos to abandon the run at times. McCaffrey would catch two touchdowns in the game for the Broncos for 15 and 21 yards in the game. Kansas City came storming right back when Tyreek Hill ran back a 75-yard kick return to the Denver 25 yard line. One play later Kansas City running back Priest Holmes scooted to the right side for a 25-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7. From that point on the game was a back and forth battle until time ran out on Kansas City with the score tied at 14-14, the Broncos kicked the field goal to win the game, 17-14! Denver's Terrell Davis finished the game with an explosive 16 touches for 274 all-purpose yards, but the Chiefs defense didn't let him score. It was McCaffrey who did the damage with 36 yards and two touchdowns as the Broncos (3-4) go back to the drawing board to fix what was broken about the season. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (5-1) VS LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (3-3) You couldn't find a better matchup for a season finale when it comes to the Raiders and the Chargers. These two division rivals have a history of battle, and when you have players like Casper and Tomlinson anything can happen. The Charges have dominated this year winning five games. Their only loss was in Week #3 against Kansas City, 17-14. The following week they beat the pants off of the Chiefs 21-7 in Los Angeles. But Coach Ed Viggs is nobody to take lightly in big games because it doesn't matter if he's on the road or at home, his teams are ready to play and his football play calling strategy is respected. Las Vegas Coach Kevin Mac came with a positive attitude ready to go today. You have to be when you have a guy like Dave Casper and Bo Jackson behind the offense but something's been missing all year for these Raiders and it's the size of the players. Coach Mac said, "For 67 Big Men these guys are a little undersized and that does make a difference on the field because when you look at the Chargers and their monsters, you can see the size difference so I think after the season I will change the linemen and keep the runners the same. Chargers special teams player Kellen Winslow Sr., came up with a big hit on Dave Casper on the opening kickoff which Casper returned for 38 yards. Two plays later Las Vegas lineman Gene Upshaw opened up the center of the field for Bo Jackson to squeak through for amazing, electrifying 62-yard touchdown scamper giving the Raiders the 7-0 advantage! It would be five plays later that Chargers LIEFL All-Pro LaDainian Tomlinson would run a 14-yard touchdown into the end zone, showing the powerful front line that the Charges have played with for the last three or four seasons. These guys are for real. They have won an amazing 20 games with only three losses in the past three season this Los Angeles team. Coach Viggs says he is determined to change the finishing technique this season. The game was tied, 7-7. On the next set of downs the Raiders would advance the football 65 yards with Bo Jackson running for 21-yards and Dave Casper making up the rest on a 35-yard touchdown strike to give the Raiders the advantage, 14-7. The Chargers weren't going to allow this Raiders team to control the clock with that tough defense of Earl Faison, Russ Washington and Ernie Ladd. LaDainian Tomlinson then had an 57-yard kick return as time was running out on the clock. One play later, Viggs hit Kellen Winslow for a beautiful touchdown catch to tie the game at 14-14. Coach Viggs timed the game perfectly and got his way by putting the game into overtime as the clock ran out on the Raiders. After winning the overtime coin toss, Viggs wasn't finished yet with the fireworks in overtime. LaDainian Tomlinson ran back an incredible 86-yard run giving the Los Angeles Chargers (6-1) all they needed to seal their 6th win and ern home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs! The Chargers kicked a field goal to win the game in overtime 17-14! Los Angeles will get a bye in the first round of the AFC Playoffs. They will play the winner of Miami and Cleveland. Miami beat the Chargers last in the AFC championship game 32-27 the last time they played! The Browns may surprise a few people. Tomlinson finished the game with 8 carries for 92 yards rushing with 283 all-purpose yards and a touchdown in the game! SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (3-3) VS LOS ANGELES RAMS (2-4) Coach Ed Viggs San Francisco 49ers went (0-7) last season, but it didn't stop Viggs from explaining that this season would be different. Viggs said, "We had lots of really bad breaks, but you have to be able to move past your mistakes and learn from them if you want to win in electric football. My plan today will prove interesting for the Rams." The game turned into another upset in the making as Coach Viggs backed down to no one in the season finale. As promised, he came ready! Billy O'C said, we've been cursed by Tampa Bay and Pirates! Losing that 7-6 game to the Buccaneers really irked me. We aren't playing like the LIEFL Super Bowl Champion Rams and that tells me how much better the league has gotten and it will only get more competitive. It was the Reverend Isaac Bruce who carried the Rams in the game. Bruce had a beautiful 80 yard kick return for a touchdown in the game totaling 223 yards on three touches. Rams running back Wendall Tyler had only 37 yards on seven carries, but he had two touchdowns. The story of the day was San Francisco's Jerry Rice. Rice exploded for 252 yards with five touches and a touchdown reception! Running back Rickey Watters had 88 yards rushing for the 49ers, one of them for 46 yards! The competition has caught up fast within two seasons as the Rams lose in the upset to end the season 24-21 in overtime to Coach Viggs San Francisco 49ers (4-3), sending the Rams packing for the first time in three seasons. San Francisco clinches the NFC West for the first time since 2017 when they lost in the NFC Divisional game to the then surging Detroit Lions. Rams Coach Billy OC said, "We'll be back next year. We still have great talent on this team. I believe the talent has finally caught up in this league and that's exactly the kind of League you want to be in where your great teams may be great one year, but the next year it's a whole different story because of the draft!" 19. LIEFL WEEKLY (WEEK #6) MIAMI'S UNBEATEN STREAK ENDS WITH TITANS OT WIN! (LONG ISLAND EFL PHOTOS TRANSFORMED BY BE FUNKY) It was Tennessee Titans rookie sensation Derrick Henry (#22 Blue) and return specialist Brandon Jones who helped the Titans carve their way to victory, stopping Miami just short of their goal to be the only team to go undefeated in the Long Island Electric Football League's 6th Consecutive 7-Game season beating Miami 13-10! in a stunner . We have been in the hobby 50 years it's only getting better! Written by: Levi Vick with Matt Zoo-York as the main Contributing Writers. Our Stats, Standings and Coaches Forum Page will follow separately. (Long Island New York). Long Island Electric Football League. December 28, 2022. Thanks for reading. We hope you are enjoying your holiday season! In good spirit, we welcome you to our Tudor Games Forum page where we encourage building the hobby through your stories and leagues from all the pro's who play for the art and excitement of the game to newcomers learning to play this electrifying game. We are thrilled that this is our 50th year in the hobby! Our league is well documented, possibly more than any league in the world from what we can see. We also encourage embrace and check out the National Electric Football Game Museum. We accept all comments both positive and negative as a league. It is the reason we write these short articles, to expose our league to the electric football community with the hope that you do the same with your leagues so that we can help make the Forum and ELF hobby grow. Besides we love reading both individual and league stories. It has been a very busy ten days in the LIEFL and in life. Our league is locked out and filled with eight stubborn hardcore METAL-BOARD warriors who are all childhood best friends but we refuse to quit playing this game yet. We play for money, fellowship, and the love of the hobby! The LIEFL exclusively uses the Tudor Games 67-Big Men in our league with no variations to players permitted, that's not our league. We also play with all 32 NFL teams in what will be our 6th consecutive 7-Game season. Prior to that from 1974 to 2000 we played 14 game seasons, but life got in the way, we all became working professionals in some way, but we didn't want to lose the passion for our hobby so the 7-Game season in 2008 was our best choice, created by our leader Billy O'C as a way to keep the tradition of electric football alive. O'C will end this dynasty soon and what happens to all these great memories, teams and coaches as we face the reality of aging, health and other issues, we leave our memory here with the very company who made dreams come true, Tudor Games. The pioneer and makers of electric football beginning with Norm Sas to Tudor Games, Miggle, Coleco, and the lot have been at this perfection for a long time. Electric Football has been alive nearly 75 years! We have perfected our league too! Further, in the Long Island Electric Football League, LIEFL, each coach plays with four teams. In addition, we also have a fill-in or alternate coach in the event two teams by the same coach are scheduled to play each other. The league is very organized, complete with up-to-the-minute data and statistics, and we have a host of amazing and talented people who help us. It's incredible actually how the league has evolved since the seventies, but also we cannot forget the amazing contributors to the league and their dedication to building a powerful competitive and purposeful league. At the end of each week all of our coaches submit brief recaps summarizing their games for Commissioner Billy O'C to craft into these nifty Forum pages with the help of some of the coaches who do much of the writing. We write less because not many people read our page so we give the best we have time for, for those who enjoy reading. What little time we have for the hobby we make the best of, and we plan on playing our last Super Bowl XX in 2025, God willing. So, welcome to another exciting week on Long Island in Week #6 of the Long Island Electric Football League with some incredible and great matchups and coaches. The LIEFL playoff lens is starting to come into focus, but the battles that are left will be heartbreaking to the coaches who fold under pressure, but someone has to win, and someone has to lose in the league. Better luck next year, go build a team that loves to compete in the doldrums of the plastic figures we bring to life! We consider this to be big game week in the LIEFL Week #6 action with a focus on games that have playoff consequences' and possibilities as we approach the 2022-23 LIEFL playoffs. You read about the four teams who played on Christmas Eve in the Tudor Forum Long Island EFL Special Edition. GATORADE REPORT. In this edition you'll read about the Dolphins (5-0) against the surprising Titans (4-1) in what will be an interesting game to read about below, and the Eagles (2-3) will battle for second place and a possible NFC Wild Card slot at the Redskins (2-3) in what will be a great offensive game ... we think. The Broncos (2-3) played the Chargers (4-1). Finally, in other huge games this week the Lions (2-3) played the Seahawks (1-4) on the road and the Beast of the week was the Monday Night Game matching up the Browns (3-2) at the rising Steelers (2-3) in a game that has tremendous playoff consequences for both teams, featuring two elite players, the “Bus” Jerome Bettis and the Slickster Jim Brown! Bettis is top ten in LIEFL AFC Rushing with 32-384-5/64, 62TD, and Brown is top ten in two categories with big numbers 15-1009-5/4X100TD in all-purpose yards and 12-898-4/4 X100TDS in kick returns! It will be hard to stop these guys for opposing defenses in any league. There's more to read as we climb the mountain to LIEFL Super Bowl XVII! Which teams will remain in the playoff hunt and WHO will spoil the playoff chances for the contenders to advance? The rest of the games we had some major upsets, so we picked the best games to write about. The Falcons (4-1) played the Bills (2-3), the Giants (4-1) were at the sleeping Bears (2-3), the “red hot” AFC #1 Offense Raiders (3-2) played the Colts (2-3) in our Christmas Eve doubleheader game along with the Jaguars (2-3) who faced the Patriots (3-2). Last season the New Orleans Saints were spoilers. They beat the Atlanta Falcons at Atlanta on their home field 27-21 in OT to eliminate the Dirty Birds from the playoff picture! That same scenario will occur this season when the Falcons play the Saints at Atlanta in the season finale only this time Atlanta is (4-2) and in a better position to make the playoffs! It’s brutal, exciting and intense even to be on the losing side! Is Johnny Freeport-Chucker ready? He said, “Man, _ _ _ _ _!” MIAMI DOLPHINS (5-0) VS TENNESSEE TITANS (4-1) The Miami Dolphins (5-0) and Tennessee Titans (4-1) is one of the most highly anticipated game's of the 2022-23 LIEFL season. Titans Coach Kevin Maloney came ready to clash. Mac said, "I 've been watching this game on the schedule for weeks back when we were 3-0, but something felt different in my team this year. After losing to Pittsburgh 17-7, there were many unanswered questions for us, but after this game, we think this season's playoffs will end different." Miami beat Tennessee in the 2020 playoffs 42-20 in a beat down. Maloney never forgot it. It looked like it was all Dolphins in the first half in this game. Miami completely dominated the first half and like magic with Dolphins running back Mercury Morris rushing for 74 yards with two big runs and holes opened for 27 and 30 yards compliments of LIEFL All-Pro's Jason Taylor and Larry Little who paved the way. In the second half, something came over the Titans as they changed the momentum of the game when rookie sensation Derrick Henry exploded with an electrifying and dramatic 60-yard touchdown run! Henry has had huge runs. He even had a 41 yard run against Pittsburgh, but this one against an elite defense was a memorable one. When Tennessee played division rival Indianapolis earlier this season in week three, Henry had two touchdowns on the same type of play against Miami, for 64, and 59 yards in that game against the Colts. That was his 171 yard game that earned Henry a place in the LIEFL record book! Normally in this league and since 2008, it is rare to see those games with 150 yards or more rushing because we think that we have such tremendous defensive teams in the league. After that big run by Henry, Billy O'C's two time back-to-back AFC Champions tried to close the leak in the line. Titans tackles Jeffrey Stewart and Zack Pillar opened holes from both the left and right side in the trenches and Henry took full advantage naturally. The Titans defense then went after Mercury Morris, not an easy task, but the Titans shut Morris down and silenced him for the remainder of the game. It was the Titans who ruled the Dolphins in overtime 13-10 when all was said and done in overtime! What a game! Will the Patriots upset Billy O'C's Miami Dolphins in Miami in Week#7 to win the division? We will pick a few select games from this week’s schedule to highlight. Up next, it's the Atlanta Falcons at the Buffalo Bills. NEW STADIUM League Commissioner Billy O’C said, “When fan favorite Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker and Joey Pizz asked me to come see the new stadium Chucker built, I thought they were joking. I could not believe it cost $11 dollars and the scoreboard was $40 dollars. Leave it to Chucker to be creative. The stadium is beautiful! We are waiting for the Grecian Architectural Temple for the Coliseum to be complete which costs $30 dollars. We thought, what better way to bring the intensity to life to give our main field a lifelike gladiators feel! The field is going to get so much use and it's causing scheduling issues because now everyone wants to play on that field. In LIEFL Week #6 action, we start with the first teams to play at the new stadium in a classic matchup between the Atlanta Falcons (4-1) and the Buffalo Bills (2-3). You already know who Gerald Riggs is in the Long Island Electric Football League if you’ve been following. Riggs is in the top five in LIEFL NFC Rushing with 36-428-8TDS/33TD, but he leads the entire LIEFL in all-purpose yards with 53-1406-10TDS/100TD, and he is second in the NFC in kick returns with 16-1009-1TD/100TD! Both Riggs and Simpson are prime-time players who frustrate coaches around the league, but all of the coaches have weapons of their own who are top performers. This game will be a huge defensive game, so it is critical to control the clock and keep these two giant performers struggling for the ball. “Riggs is the guy that makes you think about how to stop him with a carefully devised game plan that can keep the ball out of his hands. This is a huge reality-check for my team playing against an elite team like the Dirty Birds, so we have to contain Riggs and keep him at bay. The equalizer today for my Buffalo Bills has to be defense,” said Coach Billy O’C. The Freeport Chucker said to Billy O’C, “It’s finally time for you to realize that I am the guy to beat in this league now.” Billy O’C just laughed, and said, “I love this guy, he’s crazy.” The Falcons have to stop the innovative “Box-Style” running game and waggle passing game of the Bills and Coach Billy O’C. Billy O'C said, "Ah, the great equalizer of electric football is the "Box-Style" offensive backfield!" Falcons Lineman Bill Fralic has been a solid anchor in the trenches and recognized by the coaches for his gritty aggressiveness and line play. But the Buffalo Bills don't get intimidated by anybody. They have a defensive arsenal of their own led by LIEFL All-Pro lineman Marcel Dareus, Bruce Smith and Dee Hardison up front, all battle-hardened veteran players. It will be a great battle! With LIEFL All-Pro OJ Simpson running the football the 2017 LIEFL Super Bowl XIII MVP will come to play. The former detective Chucker said, “Thank God we are still allowed to have opinions in this country. Billy O’C is living in the past, he’s washed up, he has a guy involved in a double homicide still running the ball, and it’s time for the younger guys to take over the league and show him and “Pretty Boy” Viggs how it’s done.” Billy O’C said, “That is a whole other debate about OJ Simpson, and I am not entertaining it. We’ll see who is living in the past.” The bottom line is the Bills have to execute on defense, something they did not do last week in their 21-17 loss to the New England Patriots. In the offseason Billy OC said that he will be looking for a replacement for his tackles on Buffalo and he's going to leave the linebackers in place. O’C said, “I've noticed that my tackles are getting beat off the ball and for OJ to be successful he's got to have a line of steel in front of him. When that happens in the trenches, good luck trying to stop him. Also, we're nearing the end of the season and they're still in the playoff hunt so I have to do whatever I can to get this team into the playoffs because once they're there, watch out! LET THE GAMES BEGIN: It’s Game on! ATLANTA FALCONS (4-1) VS BUFFALO BILLS (2-3) It seems we've been featuring the Atlanta Falcons, but we try not to give any one team more press over the other. The problem is they are having a great year so it is hard not to give credit when credit is due. The Buffalo Bills and Coach Billy O’C did exactly what he said his team would do in stopping Gerald Riggs and the Atlanta Falcons, he played defense and controlled the clock! But it was the Bills offense that kept Riggs contained by taking time from the clock. The first touchdown of the game in the new stadium found three receivers wide open in the endzone on third down when Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw a missile to the speedy Andre Reed for a 26-yard strike right on the numbers to score! It was the only touchdown the Bills would need and make. Atlanta came storming back with Gerald Riggs returning the kick return 65 yards to the Buffalo 40-yard line. Two plays later, Riggs was in the endzone to tie the score at 7-7! When the Bills got the ball back it was OJ Simpson who mastered his way down field eating the clock with help from Jay Brown who made a crucial 33-yard catch to seal the deal after seven more runs by Simpson. Simpson finished with just 38 yards rushing on 13 carries, and the Falcons not only contained him, but he didn’t score. Riggs finished with 65 yards in special teams and 35 yards rushing with a touchdown. With 12 seconds left in the game Buffalo kicked the field goal to win the game in a battle of will,10-7 earning their 80th team win which is an enormous accomplishment! (PHOTO: Chucker's Roman Coliseum Electric Football Stadium. The Temple will be placed near the endzone). While Chucker was not happy with his loss, he blamed it on last week’s game coached by Joe Bino, our alternate coach who beat Chucker in the Game of the Week 27-21 in OT. Chucker said, “Bino cursed my Falcons and now I have to take the curse out of them by destroying Joey Pizz Jets. We are hunting you down Pizz!” Buffalo (3-3), faces a very tough and hungry New York Jets team in the season finale in Week #7. The Falcons are (4-2) and on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time since they lost to Pizz Minnesota Vikings in the LIEFL 2017 NFC Divisional Game, 24-17! Chucker was also involved in one of the most historic LIEFL games in the league in 2000, when Coach Eddie Viggs led his Cowboys to the highest scoring playoff game score in LIEFL history by beating Chucker’s Falcons 56-52 in the unforgettable LIEFL NFC Wild Card Game! The word “wild” lived up to its reputation. In the LIEFL, all we expect is to be competitive and be in the game. When a team loses big, that coach has to find a replacement until he can put a team on the field who can compete week to week. This league has 32 fiercely competitive teams who can play for any coach. All you have to do is make the plays. CHICAGO BEARS (2-3) VS NEW YORK GIANTS (4-1). In a colossal matchup with their season at stake in the LIEFL NFC North and one of the toughest divisions in our league, Paddy Brannigan’s Chicago Bears (2-3) before the game really haven’t made much noise this season, until they woke today. Bears return man Willie Gault has been a great edition for the Bears, but today Gault rattled the Giants when his team needed him most, exploding for 212 yards on kick returns and he blazed Giants defenders with a 57-yard touchdown catch on third down, which helped motivate the Bears to their third win! (PHOTO: The Playoff hopeful Chicago Bears Willie Gault's blazing speed shook the Giants in the Bears Victory!) Saquon Barkley hung right with the Bears with eight rushes for 116 yards with two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to stop Chicago from controlling the clock and beating New York 17-14! Giants Coach Joey Pizz said, “The Bears are a consistent football team, and we knew coming into this game that it would be a close game.” Brannigan said, “Pizz is having a great year with the Giants so by beating them we can build momentum from my team’s performance with the goal to make the playoffs.” The Bears (3-3) are the now the top team to make the Wild Card spot in the NFC. They travel to Minnesota for the season finale which is going to be an incredible game with who else? Coach Pizz Vikings! (PHOTO: Chicago's Paddy Brannigan sets his pass play up as Joey Pizz blows the coverage) Does playoff spoiling happen in your league too? When the chances of a team getting into the playoffs come down to one game and the team you thought would get in, instead loses in an upset which destroys all of our playoff hopes … ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-3) VS DALLAS COWBOYS (1-4) It was the Dallas Cowboys who played the Arizona Cardinals tough as nails. Cowboys Coach Levi Vick remains competitive regardless of the record. Vick turned the Cowboys around last season making the playoffs for the first time in 20 years. Vick said, “We did well, but I expected more, and I can’t believe how much more competitive the league is this season. There are lots of changes in players. The Cowboys won the Division and then were upset by Washington in the NFC Wild Card Game last season 45-37. This season the schedule was brutal. In this game, Vick spent the game biting his nails in the Cowboys 21-17 victory over the Cardinals. Dallas LIEFL All-Pro Terrell Owens broke out with 194 yards on special teams, including an electrifying100-yard touchdown run. Now everyone wants to play on the new stadium field. (PHOTO RIGHT: Terrell Owens loads up for the kick return)Terrell Owens also had a speedy 61-yard touchdown catch, finishing the day with 255 all-purpose yards! But on the other end of the receiving field for Dallas, Michael Irvin showed his blazing speed with an incredible 75-yard touchdown catch! Dallas may have just spoiled the tough Cardinals’ chances of making the playoffs! Arizona LIEFL All-Pro Mel Gray had another explosive game. He touched the ball four times and did a lot of damage with 244 all-purpose yards, but he didn't score a touchdown. He is the guy who gets the Cards in striking distance, but he’s the most important guy on the field for them because without his yardage, that endzone seems so far away. The rest of the work was left to running back Otis Anderson who only rushed for 20 yards compared to last week’s 143 yards with two touchdowns against the elite Indianapolis Colts, but Anderson did have two touchdowns in this game against a strong Cowboys defense led by Leon Lett who continues to impress on the defensive line. Lett may be voted LIEFL All-Pro this season by the coaches. Like Owens and Irvin, he’s the bright spot for Dallas. The Cardinals (2-4) face the Seahawks at home in the season finale and the Cowboys (2-4) are at the Eagles. Stopping Keith Byars is a huge test for the Cowboys defense. The Eagles could catch fire and make the Playoffs while the Cowboys are now mathematically eliminated. DETROIT LIONS (2-3) VS SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (1-4) A Dominant Beatdown! That is the words to describe the unbelievable performance Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks had today. It's back-to-back wins for the Seattle, but for Coach Paddy Brannigan's Seahawks this was a huge knockout blow to his good pal Johnny Freeport-Chucker's Lions which brought the house down as the Seahawks awakened the league in the past two games with wins over the Chicago Bears last week 21-14, and today with a 28-10 thrashing and beatdown of a legitimate playoff contender Detroit Lions team, who Brannigan's Seahawks just eliminated from contention! The season just keeps getting more competitive and intense, all for that $3200 dollar prize. After a (1-4) start for the Seahawks Coach Brannigan has his team playing spoilers, leaving the Chucker and his Lions numb and in shock. LIEFL All-Pro running back Marshawn Lynch went BEAST-MODE all day with no letting up against Detroit. Lynch and his Possie was relentless. He exploded with two runs of 63 and 68 yards for touchdowns, and that's not all. He ran back two 100-yard touchdowns finishing with a magnificent 4-touchdown performance that earned him lots of respect around the league! All Johnny Chucker could do is watch the scoreboard and stadium he built mentally collapse and fade away with Dexter Bussey trying to find answers from his endzone on the last run of the game. (PHOTO: CHUCKERS INVENTION AND SCOREBOARD WITH BUSSY ON THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME) LIEFL Commissioner Billy O'C said, "Let the league turf wars begin! No one saw this game coming the way it ended with the Seattle Seahawks dominating the powerhouse Detroit Lions. The question is what's going on in Seattle? To shut down Lions receivers Herman Moore and Calvin Johnson, two of the best guys in the league, that in itself is a statement about the Hawks defense. I am blown away. It's all about readiness. In the last few weeks Coach Brannigan after losing four straight with his Hawks moved personnel around and he replaced the player bases at linebacker and tackle that didn't perform to par. Those changes were the difference in the game because the Detroit Lions had no answers, they were lost and they caught the Chucker sleeping. Not in this league you can't do that because great coaches do great things." Coach Brannigan said, "Bring on the best, we are ready! This was our day and once we saw that the 49ers (3-3) and Rams (2-4) were on the hot seat in the division, I realized that I have to make my move in order to try to make the playoffs. Don't forget, we had the biggest upset in the tournament beating the Rams 51-45 in the LIEFL 2020 NFC Wild Card Game against Billy O'C. We want Green Bay, we want the competition!" Even if the Rams lose to the 49ers, the Seahawks still have to beat a tough Arizona Cardinals (2-4). Whatever the case, it will be a roaring finished, with Johnny Freeport Chucker's Lions (2-4) eliminated from the NFC Playoffs. Marshawn Lynch today absolutely exploded on the Lions defense exposing every and any weakness the Lions have. The speechless Coach Chucker said with his New York accent, "I am done, spent, and obviously pretty mad at the moment!" Chucker has to go back to fixing his Lions for next year after this crushing defeat as the Lions prepare for the season finale against Green Bay next week at Detroit. Again, Lynch finished the day with 4 touches and 331 yards of all-purpose damage with 4 touchdowns. That's hard for any opponent to swallow! For Detroit's Dexter Bussey he was held to just 16 yards rushing on five carries and he had four kick returns for 139-yards. It was one of the most dominant performances of their career for Seattle. NFC WEST W L PF PA TDS HOME AWAY DIV CON AFC SF 49ers’ (0-7) 3 3 64 76 8 1-2 2-1 0-0 2-2 1-1 LA Rams (6-2) 2 4 86 90 11 2-1 0-3 1-0 2-2 0-2 Arizona (3-4) 2 4 96 105 12 2-0 0-4 0-0 1-2 1-2 Seattle (5-4) 2 4 87 96 12 2-1 0-3 0-1 2-2 0-2 Week #7 Seattle at Arizona San Francisco at LA Rams (Rams beat Seattle in Week #4, 21-14) LOS ANGELES RAMS (2-3) VS BALTIMORE RAVENS (1-4) This league is a Tug-of-War filled with emotions. In a double-header of football, Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker had to suck it up after his loss between the Lions and Seahawks, and look onward to face the tough Los Angeles Rams and Billy O'C after a brief breather. It was a shootout in Baltimore between two high-octane offenses. The Ravens in the AFC are like Seattle in the NFC, they have found their game in the past few weeks. Johnny Chucker was gleaming after beating the best coach in the league, Ed Viggs. Two weeks ago Baltimore beat the Green Bay Packers 17-14, but last week they lost in Cincinnati to Coach Joey Bino in a tight 13-10 game. The Rams have not played their best this year and if you've been following the league, Los Angeles lost in a major upset against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-6 in LIEFL Week #3 action, which unhinged Billy O'C! Since 1976 in the LIEFL, Los Angeles has made eight Playoff Appearances, won 4 Division Championships, 2 NFC Championship, 2 Super Bowl's in (2018, 2019). "It had an affect because my Rams have been the team to beat in this league, so to lose to a team like Tampa Bay just shows how the league keeps getting better and the competition rocks. The coaches and the teams are getting more fierce by the week. Don't get me wrong nobody likes to lose, but I am all about the league and how awesome it is, but I have to grow with the league to as a competitor. We have a great pool of coaches in this league who are competitors in life." When Baltimore running back Jamaal Lewis took a split open ONE-HOLE between Ravens Center John Ogden and left tackle Tony "The Goose" Siragusa to explode into the endzone that play changed the momentum of the game. The Rams stormed back with an 81-yard kick return by the Reverend, Isaac Bruce and then two plays later Ricky Prohel, who scored a 74 yard touchdown last week against the Minnesota Vikings in the Rams 17-14 loss, caught a 24 yard touchdown to tie the game at 14-14! With the Rams out of time, the Baltimore Ravens won their second game of the season in dramatic Fashion, 17-14! The Ravens still have a slight outside chance to make the playoffs. DENVER BRONCOS (2-3) VS LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (4-1) In other league action it was the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos who played an amazing game! Coach Eddie Viggs Chargers star LaDainian Tomlinson is in the hunt to return to the Super Bowl, and it still appears that they may very well be the team to beat in the AFC! Tomlinson lit it up with 382 all-purpose yards in the game, and he wasn't alone. Broncos AFC Offensive Player of the year last season Terrell Davis didn't back down and neither did Coach Paddy Brannigan who has been in lots of battles. This division rival was taken to overtime in the battle for the AFC West. The Chargers beat Houston last week in a 14-13 brawl and the week before they rocked division rival Kansas City 21-7! The Broncos have had a tough schedule this season losing some huge games which could have gone either way. Remember in Week #5 they lost 35-28 in a thriller to Las Vegas. Davis went stride for stride with the Chargers and he literally ran side by side with Chargers defender Chuck Muncie on Davis 37-yard touchdown run in the first half. (PHOTO: Not Staged. Taken by Bill O'C) . It was an outstanding defense that showed up for both teams and both offensive lines came to play in the trenches for the Chargers led by LIEFL All-Pro Earl Faison and for the Broncos, it was All-Pro Paul Smith paving the way for Davis. We will have a 30 player First Team All-Pro representing the AFC and NFC this season. The Coaches will be the AFC Championship and NFC Championship Game losers. LaDainian Tomlinson added four kick returns for 205 yards in the game and he also had a 36 yard reception for Los Angeles. There were some unreal runs in this game. When all was said and done LaDainian Tomlinson finished the game with nine rushes for 141 yards with three rushing touchdowns. His nifty touchdown run of 30 yards with two minutes left in the game was sensational cutting right through the heart of a tough Denver defense led by tackle Andy Mauer who had five tackles in the game earning him Defensive Player of the Week for LIEFL Week #6. Denver's Terrell Davis had six rushes for 62 yards and one rushing touchdown! Davis finished the game with 8 touches for 172 yards with one touchdown and a long return of 63 yards. The Broncos (2-4) face Kansas City in the season finale and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-1) will play at the Las Vegas Raiders (3-3)! HOUSTON TEXANS (2-3) VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-3) The Long Island Electric Football is on fire this week with some incredible and exciting games, with a schedule almost tailored for the drama and suspense of the end game worth $1,800 dollars to the LIEFL Super Bowl winner and $1,400 dollars to the runner -up! Next week will separate the men from the boys in the league and the mouths and trash talkers who stand behind their product on the field or they are silenced by their opponents. Either way we know one guy who will be talking regardless , especially if he gets one of his teams into the playoffs. Johnny Chucker's Lions are gone, his Ravens (2-4) and Bengals (3-3) are battling for a Wild Card spot in the AFC and his best bet is his Atlanta Falcons (4-2) in the NFC South. Chucker said, "These guys will never respect my play. I am going to work hard with my three teams and I will be in the game , that I can guarantee. Watch out baby! When asked about his Lions Chucker said, "What can I say, it hurt, but I was shocked at how good Seattle played. We are no pushover, and Brannigan brought it and more. I would watch that team and put them on the radar." We call the final week in our league, "The Clash of the Titans" because anything can happen! No one knows just where the LIEFL NFC West is headed. The Rams, Cardinals, and Seahawks are all (2-4). These 49ers have the chance to jump to first place and win the division after going (0-7) last season. It's been a strange year with not a single team dominating the division, but our best best is that Coach Viggs can get the job done with his 49ers today, but it won't be easy. Even if the Niners win they face the Rams next week at Los Angeles. Coach Viggs said before this game, "It's okay, one game at a time for me. I will worry about and plan for next week on Saturday because our games will play on Sunday. Right now I need to watch out and plan for Ron Dayne. We have to score, score, and score more to beat the Houston Texans." Viggs has put on the afterburners in the league with a (15 -8) coaching record at the start of the game. Dayne has been sitting at the top of the AFC at third in all-purpose yards with 1207 and 11 touchdowns on 58 tries. He has doubled his production from last season where he finished 2020/ with 63-1384-6/2X100TD! (PHOTO: TEXANS RON DAYNE CROSSES THE LINE TO SCORE ON HIS 5 YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN) Coach Levi "Country" Vick said, "This Texans team is loaded with talented and skilled players. My defense needs to stop or limit Jerry Rice and Ricky Watters." San Francisco came to play . Ricky Watters and his crew unleashed 21 points and 115 rushing yards on just six carries for the 49ers. Obviously Coach Viggs planned to perform today. He knew he's be matched by a better offense, so the game went see-saw back and forth until the last man was standing. Watters was due for a big game and these two opponents rarely play each other so we couldn't predict the outcome. San Francisco's linemen Randy Cross Charles Haley and Fred Dean gave Watters just enough to pave the way with touchdown runs of 15 and 51 yards. (PHOTO: RICKEY WATTERS #32 ON HIS 15 YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN, THE FIRST OF TWO TOUCHDOWNS FOR WATTERS) Houston didn't back down! Ron Dayne finished the day with 191 all-purpose yards, 92 of them rushing the football and 99 yards on kick returns with two touchdown runs of 5 and 8 yards! But it was Jerry Rice who had a big day for Coach Viggs. Rice squeezed through Blitzing Texans defense to score on a 30 yard strike to put the 49ers ahead for good with just 25 seconds left in the game that saw the San Francisco 49ers (3-3) climb solo to first place in the NFC West only to face Billy O'C's two-time Super Bowl Champion Rams this weekend for a showdown in the NFC West! The Texans (2-4) will play the first place Tennessee Titans (5-1) on Houston's home turf in the season finale! It's undeniable now that after beating Miami in overtime this week, the Titans are one of the top teams in the AFC. Losing to the Steelers doesn't sit well with Titans Coach Kevin Mac but he said he learned lots of lessons from that game and the Miami game. "Never quit, in this league you have to believe in your guys even if they are plastic figures, even if they are losing, you have to get the ball to the guys who get the job done. I tip my hat to my rookie guy Derrick Henry who I developed in the off season along with build the beef in the middle to pave the way for him. All of that was from the draft leftover player bases. Sometimes you never know what they can do and now this team and that guy are respected around the league. One game at a time. We upset Miami and whoever else comes our way I won't fold to the pressure of the playoffs, I will embrace it." Mac won a LIEFL Super Bowl in 2008 with the then Oakland Raiders in one of our most dramatic Super Bowl's in the history of the LIEFL. (PHOTO: THIS WAS WHEN WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT DECALS. BOY HAS THE HOBBY COME A LONG WAY IN THOSE 12 YEARS). Mac battled his way through the Super Bowl Tournament that season beating Baltimore 14-7, upsetting New England 17-14, and finally beating Coach Joey Pizz' Giants 27-21, in overtime. Pizz felt the wrath of Super Bowl XI MVP, Dave Casper who had a stunning 320 all-purpose yard game with two 100-yard touchdowns, one to start the game and the hundred yard touchdown run in overtime to give the Raiders and Mac their first title! "That 2008 season was also the season of letting go of old ways of thinking and Billy O'C inspired a whole different direction for the LIEFL with new strict uniform codes, holding an incredible draft from both new and old player base bottoms, which produced players like Dave Casper and a long list of other offensive stars in the league," said Coach Joey Pizz. Coach Paddy Brannigan said, "All of Billy O'C's linemen from his old Dolphins were placed into the pool of bases to be running backs for other teams. That was a huge sacrifice, but we started to see the change in the league when we equalized the talent and player bases. We went from 15 really competitive teams to Monsters of the Midway with 25 competitive teams from 2008 to 2017, then today, every one of our teams is highly competitive through hundreds of hours of transformation. It's anybody's game and no team is safe in any game, that's how competitive the teams are I think. People would love playing in this league, but we locked it out because Billy O'C says we need people who we can rely on who have a proven track record. I say, just because you have some press and you can tweak bottoms doesn't make you a "G" in electric football, you feel me? We are bringing it every game." As a result of our league changes, Stars emerged, DeShaun Foster from Carolina, Jamaal Lewis from Baltimore, Mark Duper from the Dolphins, Sterling Sharpe from the Packers, and more. O'C said, "We bought hundreds of new bases after each season since 2008, and we replaced hundreds of linemen to the point that whoever did not perform was fired! There are exactly 352 player figures in our league, each accounted for and each housed professionally in their box with a slot for every player and home and away uniforms, all professionally decaled. The draft we created was like an NFL Draft. We took the best bases selecting from hundreds of possible draft picks and we matched them up against our All-Pro players to get the best results. It has served as the pinnacle to the league's success! Again, it took hundreds of hours of work and dedication just to get where the league sits today. Amazing! When I put a $$$ amount to the game, it changed everything, suddenly coaches cared more. They paid their dues and I saved and created this league on the basis of honor." MINNESOTA VIKINGS (2-3) VS GREEN BAY PACKERS (4-1) When Coach Pizz Minnesota Vikings and Coach Viggs defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers take the field today there is much to think about as a league member. There is also lots to be grateful for in life too. Due to Covid we cancelled the 2021 season, but we managed to get through half the Week #1 schedule. That's where we picked up. Many people fell ill or had family members ill, and it put our fun league on hold for some time. That memorable 2020 season when Green Bay won LIEFL Super Bowl XVI, three out of the four teams Coach Viggs plays with made it to conference finals. That fact cannot be ignored in his talent. Unless some magical potion allows him to be a great coach, we have to accept that he is our competition as a greater whole. He can take the punches and he keeps coming back for more. At Bay Shore High School he played on two Rutgers Cup winning teams. This cool, calm character and Wall Street Guru knows winning! In many ways we can think of the Green Bay Packers as the ultimate renegades in this league. They were mocked, criticized by several coaches as being all fluff in the league, particularly Coach Chucker. That only stirred the swarm in the nest that was ready to unleash on its opponents 127 points to 103 as the Green Bay Packers owned the playoffs. One might say, he saved his biggest knockout punch for last by beating Miami in the Super Bowl 52-49! Coach Viggs knew he had something special in that team, and boy did he prove it! This is why we call Coach Viggs the master of preparation, because not many coaches could have pulled that magnitude of a win off! To win nine games and a Super Bowl in a hot League, makes it even more special. Why we say these things is because of the record keeping and the progress the league is made. Viggs is that guy you want playing from the two yard line with the score tied. His teams are going to either score or on defense or take your of scoring away. That's what makes a great coach and great competition, a Game Day guy. Viggs Cinderella underdog Packers coming back to beat the Dolphins, the previous year for AFC champs for two straight LIEFL season was incredible. It really showed the resilience and determination Viggs has for his teams and players. All the changes that Coach Pizz made over the last few weeks with his Viking shined the light on a tough Vikings defense and a team who will come to compete. They came out to perform today. On the opening kickoff star return man Sterling Sharpe took it back 40 yards only to be hit hard by Sammy White. On the first set of downs the Vikings came up big and stopped the Packers by holding them to a field goal, 3-0 Packers. (PHOTO: VIKINGS STAR ADRIAN PETERSON SENDS THE PACKERS A CLEAR MESSAGE THAT THYE CAME TO PLAY). The fireworks started on the ensuing kickoff when Vikings LIEFL All-Pro Adrian Peterson ran back 100-yard kick return for a touchdown to the left side of the field. What a run, 7-3, Minnesota stormed right back! On the next kick Sterling Sharpe nearly returned the favor in what would have been 100-kick return, but he was turned out-of-bounds by his own man at the Vikings 30-yardline. Sharpe's return set Jim Taylor up along with Packers running back Terdell Middleton. Middleton ran the ball four times for a total 13 yards and the Vikings defense pressured the Packers front line in the trenches forcing a third down pass play at the Green Bay 25 yard line. Middleton would get the Pack to the 17 but Minnesota's front line led by LIEFL All-Pro John Randle wasn't having it and Green Bay found themselves back at the 25 again. One play later on 3rd down, Jim Taylor caught a rocket from Aaron Rodgers for a 25 yard touchdown, 10-7, Packers! When Coach Viggs throws rockets like that pass, there's no mistake about the ball hitting a player when he connects with a player because you can almost here the thump but we can certainly see the ball bounce in the air. On Minnesota's next drive they weren't finished. The Vikings drove downfield with Adrian Peterson rushing for 19, 10, and 33 yards prancing into the end zone to put the Vikings ahead 14-10, with under two-minutes remaining in the game. It looked like there would be a major upset for the Vikings. On the ensuing kickoff Sterling Sharpe cut right through the center of the field on an absolutely gorgeous 100-yard kick return untouched to win the game 17-14, in dramatic fashion with a loud room filled with people! The Vikings returned the ball the the 35 yard line but ran out of time and out of Field Goal distance. Viggs works his magic again! This is the magic that the Packers bring but they're line was tested and beaten today by a brutal Minnesota Viking defense. It's the luck of the draw and the Vikings are eliminated from the playoffs! In one of the toughest divisions in the Long Island Electric football league the Vikings have fared well this year. It's a constant improvement with every team in the league and the schedules are demanding. The league is improved so much that that is why we are seeing so many upsets because of the constant improvement after every game coaches are working with those overlooked extra player base drafts that could add any improvement to a team. Coach Pizz said, "It happens I'm sure in every League and it's up to the coach to find the best qualified player base to bring on the octane." Adrian Peterson has always gotten the job done for the Vikings but they need to do a better job building a wall on defense and an explosive offensive line that can aggressively put points on the scoreboard. This is where coach Joey Pizz and his Vikings need to get better. Isn't it strange how in our league and we are sure your league these division rivals no matter how good they are seem to have unreal competition against each other. It's the one magical mystical things about electric football that has baffled us over the years. Teams in the same division that play amazing games against each other just like in the NFL rivalries. The battles seem real the competition is intense, and the coaches talk to themselves and talk to their players as though they are alive. What are we thinking? Electric football is such an amazing competitive game and many articles poorly represent what electric football is truly capable of. You read negative articles about players bouncing up and down on the playing field, which is a simple speed adjustment for the amateur who doesn't know that, or players running in different directions which simply need to be redirected, and runners who run in circles which takes time, tweaking, and re-performing to get it right. As you know playing this game there's a difference between amateurs and potentially what we call professionals in the game. Every player in our league is built to perform and their mastery comes with hours and hours of testing. It's All for the Love of the game. CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-2) VS PITTSBURGH STEELERS (2-3) It was another highly anticipated matchup between two powerful division rivals. The Cleveland Browns have had a strong year and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been in some battles. Both of these teams back down to no one. We couldn't predict who'd win this one but there is a lot at stake. The Browns are coming off of a tough loss to Green Bay in LIEFL Week #5, 14-10, are coming off a huge 14-10 loss against Kansas City in a low yardage game for the Steelers. This game pitted two tough defenses against each other in stopping both offenses, but Steelers receiver Lynn Swann was on fire! Swann made two big plays in the game. The Steelers were driving to the 24 yard line where the Browns forced a third down and long situation. Swann caught two great passes right in the numbers for a 24 and 57 yard touchdowns blazing right through Cleveland! For the Browns it was Mike Pruitt's running that tested the Steel Curtain. Pruitt finished the game with four carries on 63 yards with a seven yard touchdown run. Swann finished the game with four touches for 190 yards with two touchdowns! The key to the game was limiting Jim Brown and that the Steelers did. Pittsburgh held Brown to just 73 total yards in the Steelers 14-10 win over the Browns! In the season finale Cleveland (3-3) plays Cincinnati (3-3) at home and Pittsburgh (3-3) is at Baltimore (2-4), so this race will be a heartbreaking finish. If Cleveland beats the Bengals they win the division and visa versa if Cincinnati beats Cleveland, and if Baltimore beats Pittsburgh both the Ravens and Steelers are eliminated. But, if Pittsburgh wins, they win the division because they beat Cleveland. What a finish! PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2-3) VS WASHINGTON REDSKINS (2-3) In yet another highly anticipated game it was Coach Viggs 2020 NFC Championship Game runner up against Coach Matt Zoo-York's hard nosed Philadelphia Eagles. The game opened with Tony Green's 88 yard kick return, but the Eagles answered with all defense forcing the Redskins to pass the ball on third down. Then Art Monk broke free wide open and Coach Viggs took care of business hitting Monk who took it 57 yards for the touchdown 7-0, Redskins! The Eagles defense had ten tackles in the game, four of them by outstanding defensive end Hugh Douglas, and Philadelphia stopped Washington on a fourth down attempt from three yards out, but Douglas stuffed the run! The Eagles were now in possession of the ball at their own three yard line. Just 97 yards in front of them was the endzone, and that's where things went wrong. Redskins back Charlie Taylor stopped Eagles star Keith Byars in the end zone for the safety, 9-0, Redskins! The Redskins manned up and ran the ball back on the Safety. The Eagles defense rose to the occasion then scored on a 57 yard run by Byars after a kick return by Harold Carmichael who was hit hard by Charlie Taylor at the Eagles 41, Redskins 9 Eagles 7! Carmichael never touched the ball again. It was all Redskins from that point on with Tony Green running on four straight plays gaining 18, 13, 2, and five yards until and they managed to kick a field goal to add to their lead 12-7, final score! Green totaled 13 for 189 all-purpose yards with just 40 yards rushing and Byars finished with two carries for 60 yards rushing with one touchdown. Redskins ends Art Monk and Charlie Taylor helped give the Skins the win! Viggs wins another one and the Redskins march back into the playoff picture. Washington faces the New York Giants (4-2) at New York in the season finale. It will be a war! Dallas (2-4) will be at Philadelphia (2-4), both possibly eliminated from the playoffs! Viggs is on a mission and the playoff picture will be a little more clear in the standings.
  20. COLTS AND PATRIOTS DOMINATE CHRISTMAS EVE SPECIAL! GO TUDOR GAMES! In Game 1 of our Christmas Eve Special Edition, Indianapolis Colts running back and league superstar Joseph Addai, AFC leader in rushing, all-purpose, and kick returns took this one 30 yards into the endzone in the Colts win over the Raiders 17-10! Long Island Electric Football League December 24, 2022. Welcome to our Forum page and Special Christmas Eve Edition featuring the RED-HOT Raiders against the Indianapolis Colts in the LIEFL’s Week#6 action. Let the drama begin, the trash-talker gets going, and the players make the action! This is our 50th year in the hobby and our league is well documented. We also encourage you to check out the National Electric Football Game Museum. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS VS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS The Raiders may be playing on all cylinders but Colts Coach Billy O’C will be slipping a monkey wrench into the Raiders hot streak by weeding out their desire for success in this huge game. Las Vegas is (3-2) and Indianapolis is (2-3). O’C said before the game, “I love the Raiders, but I don’t enjoy losing to them at all. My Colts lost three straight games in the past 5 weeks, so we know that’s not us. Bad breaks can break a team. We won’t be broken, and I believe my Colts belong in the playoffs, just for Joseph Addai who is in my mind the best player in the league.” Addai at the moment leads the AFC in Rushing, All-Purpose, and Kick return yards! The Colts LIEFL All-Pro star Joseph Addai returned a 44-yard kick return to open the game. With runs of 12, 21-3,13, and finally, with a 15-yard touchdown run, the Colts took the lead and never looked back. They controlled the clock, the ball, and the Raiders front line. If there were any doubts around the league about Billy O’C’s coaching and about his Indianapolis Colts being contenders for the playoffs, rest assured they are alive and well. These tough guys manhandled the Las Vegas Raiders who have been red hot in the league and they couldn't stop Billy O'C's "Box-Style" offense. The Colts defense held Dave Casper to two touches for 114 yards on special teams and that was the key proving that when Casper is taken out, the Raiders struggle to win. In this league you have have a triple-threat to win. The Colts defense led by linemen Bubba Smith, Elmer Collett and Linebacker Robert Mathis completely shut down Bo Jackson and the Raiders offensive line. While the Raiders played competitively for Coach Mac, it was the Colts who dominated! The Raiders biggest play of the game was Bo Jackson's 67-yard catch which brought the Las Vegas within three yards and that's what set up Tim Brown's touchdown rocket pass for a touchdown from 3 yards away. But in the running game Jackson was held to just three carries with no yards rushing for Las Vegas. Colts running back and league leader in Rushing, all-purpose yards and kick returns LIEFL's Joseph Addai had 12 touches for a total 278 yards with two touchdowns. He had 117 yards on the ground rushing on 9 carries and three special teams runs totaling 161 yards on special teams. The Colts are now (3-3) battling for the division and a shot at the Wild Card Game. They may celebrate their Glory for today, but the season finale against Jacksonville at the Jaguars will be the reality check! Billy O’C said, “These Colts are a good team. We lost three big ones, all close and all my fault. We lost at Tennessee 24-21 in a stunner, and we kept the game close. Then what unhinged us was losing to the Patriots 21-17 at home. That one hurt but let me tell you New England is going to surprise people in this league, you watch. Levi Vick has them playing at a high level. These losses are not representative of the talent this team has. The last one we lost was also on the road. We lost to Arizona in a 24-21 battle, and that was a great game! Don’t count us out yet! “Just remember, I am the guy in this league of trash talkers who took a Wild Card team to a Long Island EFL Super Bowl and won. Buffalo was 4-3 that season and we crushed every team in our path in this league," said Billy O’C. New England Patriots LIEFL All-Pro Rob Gronkowski slices through the middle of the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for a 100-yard kick return into the endzone in the Patriots 17-14 victory over the Jaguars in Week#6 action and our special Christmas Edition played earlier this evening. Written by Kevin "Mac" JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (2-3) VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (3-2) In Game #2 of LIEFL Christmas Eve Special it was Coach Levi Vick's revived New England Patriots who took on his own team with LIEFL Alternate Coach Joey Bino sitting in for the competitive Jacksonville Jaguars. That means Vick will get a win and loss against his coaching record in the game. It's safe to say that Vick's New England Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the league right now with four straight wins! Vick turned return man and tight end Rob Gronkowski into a star in the LIEFL too! "Gronk" and Lawrence Maroney went hard today with a relentless Patriots front line led by Vince Wilfork's explosiveness in the trenches. Coach Vick said, "I love days like this because it brings me back to when I was a child and my parents were still alive. They always had a single surprise for each of us. We didn't get much but whatever we got we appreciated. I will never forget the first time I received an electric football game, I was mesmerized, and from there I couldn't get enough. When I used to read the Miggle Toys newsletters years later, I was in disbelief that the hobby had evolved, but I was ecstatic. I thought to myself, these guys aren't necessarily the best coaches in the world featured in Miggle, they were the best of the small number of people invited to play, but still they were great because they were like me, like us, guys who keep the game alive. We all tweak bottoms, we are all experts coaches in our own way, we are all paintmakers, and we all love the hobby! That invariable and small select group Miggle picked statistically, is actually a negatively skewed invariable because the entire populous is a much larger unknown group. Tournaments don't settle the score either because there are different rules people play by and I don't think we'd ever agree on consistent rules. There's nothing wrong with guys getting press, we love it, but there is a whole world of electric football out there including great solitaire leagues that I've read about because Tudor created this forum. There are guys in this league and my Nassau league that play fierce competitive games with established teams in an incredible league just like all these other leagues, and the beauty is again, the hobby is vibrating! I often times thought, Wow … These other guys from Miggle are missing out on some awesome competition. I've played tens of thousands of hours of electric football just like so many hobbyists, and when these guys in the LIEFL call it quits I will probably go back to my old league." The dream is still alive for Vicks Cinderella Patriots. It wasn't easy for New England but Moroney hasn't run like this since the 2016 season when he was both feared and respected. Tonight Maroney had six carries for 80 yards rushing following his 180 yards rushing last week in New England's 21-17 victory over Buffalo. On special teams the Gronk was electrifying, which is the best word to use because Jacksonville just couldn't keep up with him. He had 198 all-purpose yards with a nifty 100-yard touchdown return cut right through the center of the field. Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss added to the offense with a beautiful 20-yard touchdown catch to give New England the edge! (PHOTO: Jacksonville's Fred Taylor breezes into the end zone for the touchdown). The Jaguars played hard and kept the game close with their star player Fred Taylor who finished the game with nine touches and a total 198 yards with a gorgeous 100-yard kick return down the right sideline for a touchdown, Taylor's 8th of the season. Taylor wouldn't be outdone by Gronkowski, but in the end the home field advantage for the Patriots gave them the edge in their 17-14 victory! The Patriots are moving within close distance of the playoffs to secure an AFC Wild Card spot as they face the two-time consecutive AFC Champion Miami Dolphins, in the season finale at Miami. The Dolphins are currently (5-0). What a task at hand for this blue-collar Patriots team. If they lose they have to deal with the reality that the New York Jets also in the race who beat the Patriots in Week #2, 21-10! The Pats are a different team now, the battle to the end will be interested to say the least! The Patriots are currently ranked #24 in the LIEFL with a career record of (64-82). With all the different strength and strategic additions Coach Vick has made to his Patriots, the Dolphins are in for a showdown. If Miami loses to Tennessee this week, New England comes closer to clinching a possible Wild Card position in the AFC. That loss to the Jets may end up being very costly for New England. THE LIEFL PLAYOFF BRACKET IS RELEASED. TEAMS WHO QUALIFY MAY POSSIBLY BE ANNOUNCED BY THE WEEKS END.
  21. NEW STADIUM BUILD December 22, 2022. Long Island NY. A Super Bowl is special in any league, especially this one. Today we unveiled our new stadium built by one of our coaches, Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker in Joey Pizz basement. Chucker designed and built it because he claims he will be the one playing on it most throughout the playoffs and the road to the Super Bowl, and to serenade the new build, Chucker faces the ready-tough Buffalo Bills tonight in a great game set as Billy O'C's Box-Style Bills offense is hard to stop, but we'll save that story for week #6! The stadium is complete with Roman Columns, NFL stickers, Fans, palm trees, and a fully functional Score Board! Chucker said, "I had to do it because I have a feeling one of my teams will be headed to Florida and either way that is where the stadium is headed after the playoffs. It took me a good 4 hours to build and it is similar to the old main field we use, just this one I think is better quality."
