  2. FALCONS SHOWING PLAYOFF SIGNS AS RIGGS AND BUSSEY COMPETE FOR TOP DOG IN WEEK #5 ACTION PACKED GAMES! Long Island EFL All-Pro Atlanta's Gerald Riggs (#42) busts thru an open field in 13 seconds of overtime to beat the Detroit Lions 27-21 in a stunner! Riggs had 8 carries for 123 yards rushing, and 4 kick returns for a damaging 265 yards, with a total 411 yards in the game between these two exciting LIEFL teams. Along with Detroit's Dexter Bussey , the pair produced a total 23-708 all-purpose yards, with seven touchdowns in the action packed electric football showdown last Thursday night. Bussey had 115 rushing yards and 131 return yards on special teams for a total 8-247-2 TDS! OUR WEEK #5 STAT LEADERS WILL FOLLOW THIS ARTICLE This article is written By Coach Matt Zoo-York with contributions by Billy O'C, Ed Viggs, Joey Pizz, and Paddy Brannigan. Long Island Electric Football League. December 18, 2022. Happy holidays to you and your families and thanks for stopping by to celebrate the hobby! The LIEFL is filled with a dynamic professional group of eight METAL-BOARD warriors who coach for money! So, welcome to another exciting week on Long Island in week five of The Long Island Electric Football League with some great matchups and coaches as we wind down our 6th consecutive 7-game season. Prior to 2008, we played a 14 game season, but those days are over. Once we hit the real world, EF was put on the backburner until we renewed our pact to keep this league and game alive. The intensity is building in the final drive to make the playoffs, which will be filled with fireworks! We think our league is electrifying and if you look in the past Tudor Games Forum you may have fun seeing what we are about by reading about the plastic hero's of the league. We have kept incredible records of the LIEFL since its inception in 1972, and we may be one of the very few leagues in the United States with these kinds of details. Thanks to the National Electric Football Game Museum the art of playing this hobby is preserved in this amazing museum! Our league can be followed on the fantastically clever Tudor Games Forum https://forum.tudorgames.com/forum/45-long-island-electric-football-nation-67-big-men-established-in-1972/ The LIEFL 2022 season has wasted no time with players who can't perform. This season the league was stacked with power players thru the LIEFL 2020 new draft picks, filled with incredible talented players and coaches, and a BUZZ that has the speed of the game rocking. As we write these articles, we will always provide interesting details of our league's rich history, and we encourage others to do the same through the Tudor Games Forum. We are grateful that they are tech-savvy enough to provide the platform to communicate from around the world about this awesome game which will be celebrating 75-years soon! Like your leagues we have some real characters in our league too! Week #4 was a Wild one filled with upsets. We have just two games remaining in the regular 7-game season with the drama building and coaches talking. The drama will build, the intensity and emotions will grow, the trash talking will always be there, but the professionalism in the league is a standard! Let's get down to the business of he game. It was another historic record setting week in Week#5 of the Long Island EFL. We still have one undefeated team left in the 2022-23 LIEFL season, the Miami Dolphins (5-0) who beat the tough no quit New Orleans Saints (1-4) 17-14! Miami will face their season reality check when they play the Tennessee Titans (4-1) on the road again in Week #6! The Dolphins have s super rich history in this league and they've won two AFC titles in a row, but they have fallen just shy of a Super Bowl win the past two seasons. Coach Billy O'C needs to finish strong for these Dolphins. O'C said, "I love the way those Titans are playing and we know we are in for a tough game as the competition is really tough this season with teams like the Titans who have benefitted from the draft. We are facing Derrick Henry, who is #4 in AFC rushing with 437 yards and 6 touchdowns. So we know what he's made of, but can he run through Jason Taylor, the top dog last year? Time will tell." The league is catching up to the rebuilt Dolphins and Taylor with the draft. We will cover the biggest games of the week and bring the excitement to you with photos using a program that turns our photos into colorful amazing detailed pieces of art. This week's fireworks started with two battle-hardened teams in the running for the NFC Playoffs. On paper you couldn’t find a better game featuring two LIEFL Hall of Fame players and two outstanding coaches. League loudmouth Johnny Freeport-Chucker had a big decision to make. Would he play with his Falcons or his Lions, since they are both his? He chose his Lions because he felt his Falcons could make it into the playoffs at the moment, and he said he needed to push the Lions to the limit to try and qualify them for the playoffs so that he gets more than one chance at the prize. DETROIT LIONS VS ATLANTA FALCONS It's hard not to measure up the competition before any electric football game statistically and categorically, and when you have the records that we have, it's even more exciting because it brings the league to life, that's why we keep playing. Two of the best running backs faced off in Atlanta Falcons running back Gerald Riggs who has been on fire, but so has league favorite Detroit Lions star Dexter Bussey, both elite players in our league who rose up from being the underdogs of the 70's. We never changed their player bases. They are historic! The Lions history comes from the gutter of 1978 to 1984, producing a record of 19 wins and 37 loses with a LIEFL career record of (72-74) at the beginning of the season ranked #16 in the LIEFL . One guy in the lineup has never changed, Dexter Bussey. Bussey had amassed more than 11,000 all-purpose yards in the LIEFL with 78 touchdowns. Did we say legend in our league? Gerald Riggs has been a beast, winning a multitude of awards as well. He owns the 7-Game season LIEFL all-purpose yards record with an astonishing 78 attempts for 2339 yards with 21 touchdowns in 2019! He is a flat out amazing back and that is part of what makes the competition special in the league. Alternate coach Joe Bino will play the Falcons against Chucker's Lions. The Lions and their rise to the top came through the loudest coach in the league, Johnny Freeport Chucker (PHOTO: JUST BEFORE KICKOFF) who changed the destiny of Detroit after our first Draft. From that point on, his Lions have been involved in some of the greatest rivalries in the history of this league. His play has caused lots of controversy and his mouth, even more. His draft selections are the key to his Detroit Lions success today. He went from one of the worst teams in the league to LIEFL Super Bowl XII Champions in 2016 when they beat the New England Patriots 42-17! No one will ever forget his face when Coach Joey Pizz New York Giants and Ahmad Bradshaw ran back a touchdown in the 2008 NFC Championship Game to beat Chucker's Lions 45-35! Chucker never forgot it. And in their 2016 run for the Super Bowl Dexter Bussey and Chucker got his revenge the Lions back-to-back NFC Championship Game beating the New Giants 31-24! The rest is history! While he may be loud, the Freeport-Chucker is great for an already intense league. But, this week’s game of the week had a small dilemma. In our league when a coach has to play against his own team, we have an alternate coach Joe Bino who fills in. The intensity and speed of the game was great. Bino played the Falcons right to the edge, even better at times than the Chucker. Chucker said before the game, "Having LIEFL superstars Gerald Riggs and Dexter Bussey makes it easy to score. It is a matter of them performing and Bino isn't as good as he thinks he is. He tries to talk himself into wins because he has no emotional connection to the game. All he cares about is money." But Boy did Bino perform! This game was taken to overtime in a dramatic finish with the score tied 21-21, when Falcons superstar Gerald Riggs ran back a 100-yard touchdown in 13 seconds of overtime to end the game! Riggs had 411 all-purpose yards with 123 yards rushing and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard dash, then he caught a 23-yard pass for a touchdown. He had an explosive 265 special teams’ yards performance in the game! We think these two guys would be bad asses in any league. Detroit's Dexter Bussey finished the game with 247 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns as these two unstoppable guys put on an offensive show filled with great plays! Both Riggs and Bussey are in the usual top five in the NFC all-purpose players this season. The ending of this season will be interesting to see where these two great teams will finish. Beating Carolina will be a heavy task for the Falcons, and Detroit took Green Bay into overtime already 13-10 earlier in the season! We may see these two teams again in the playoffs, which now has seven teams from each conference competing for the prize. LIEFL will issue $1800 to this year’s Super Bowl XVII in Coquina Key, Florida, and $1400 will go to the loser. RAIDERS CASPER'S THREE 100 YARD KICK RETURNS FOR TOUCHDOWNS AND BRONCOS DAVIS PUT ON A LIEFL HISTORIC SHOW! DENVER BRONCOS VS LAS VEGAS RAIDERS That's two weeks in a row the Raiders have been involved in a Game of the Week in this League. This big game turned out to be more like the game of the year so far! "It was like the Ali-Frazier thriller ' in Manila of electric football and one of the most exciting electric football games I've ever seen," said Raiders Coach Kevin Mac. The division rivalry between the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders doesn't need an introduction, it is a war in the LIEFL. We have a league statistician that loves watching these games. Andrew Slawson -Slawson's Corner said, "These two teams have a history in the league obviously, but Kevin Mac transformed the Raiders in the first LIEFL Draft in 2008, that is when we knew Dave Casper (PHOTO: RAIDERS DAVE CASPER TAKES BACK ONE OF HIS THREE 100 YARD TDS VS THE BRONCOS) was special. I was at that game for LIEFL Super Bowl XI on July 12, 2008, when Casper opened the game with a blazing 100-yard touchdown run against, who I thought was the better team in Coach Joey Piz' New York Giants, but Casper carried the team to overtime and the Raiders outlasted the battle with a Casper 100 yard touchdown in overtime to silence the critiques of the league, beating the Giants 27-21 and winning their first ever LIEFL Super Bowl!" Billy O'C said, "This was the best division and regular season game watched in a long time in this league, the battle to the best in the division. Nine touchdowns were scored, 909 total yards in the game which saw four 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns! It truly was almost as exciting as last year's Super Bowl between Miami and Green Bay. Punch punch for punch the Raiders and the Broncos went at it right from the opening kick off when Raiders LIEFL Superstar Dave Casper opened the game with a magical 100-yard touchdown run, we knew this game was on because Broncos Star and last year's LIEFL Offensive Player of the Year Terrell Davis was going to put on his own show right until the last second of the game! I am sure coaches around the world who play this hobby can relate to the fact that the skill of the game and the life the plastic players bring to the game is unexplainable. This one left us speechless! Just when we thought we saw the best game of the week with the Falcons and the Lions, this Raiders-Broncos duel was filled with fireworks! The Raiders are currently ranked #17th all-time in the LIEFL with a (75-82) record. The Broncos are currently ranked #3rd with an all-time record of 107-66-1! Last season we watched Denver's Terrell Davis tear up the league with his League leading 1924 all purpose yards with 15 touchdowns and he had eight 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns. That is a feat in any league regardless of rules. He is a beast to stop. He was voted AFC Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches. Last year the Broncos made the playoffs for the first time since 1991. They lost in the Wild Card Game last season to the Indianapolis Colts 27-10, but they made a statement that they will be competitive and won't be walked on. This game saw Raiders running back Bo Jackson scamp for a gorgeous 46 yard touchdown run set up by Coach Mac, as Jackson followed blocker Jeff Barnes down the right sideline carrying Broncos defenders right into the endzone! But Broncos Coach Paddy "Moose" Brannigan wasn't having it. His star player Terrell Davis returned the favor with a 100-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 28-28! Davis would finish with 119 yards rushing with three touchdowns and 279 special teams yard with a 100-yard touchdown, totaling 398 all-purpose yards with touchdown runs of 23, 6 yards, but he also had a 56 yard run! The Orange Crush stormed right back leaving second for the Rushed Raiders on the clock. After setting up with just 11 seconds left in regulation, Dave Casper would get his last chance to return the football. Casper darted to the right side of the field behind a wall of blockers, then he went center, and history was made again. Casper returned his third 100-yard touchdown of the game in such dramatic fashion to a room that erupted! Casper ended the game with 5 kick returns for 433 all-purpose yards with three 100 yard touchdowns as the Las Vegas Raiders stun the Denver Broncos 35-28! "It's not over until it's over in Raider Nation. We want to be back in the playoffs" an excited Coach Kevin Mac said! The Moose said, "Oh my God, I was screaming all the way to stop Casper, but he is special and amazing to watch and when he's hot in that silver and black jersey, that's it, it's lights out. Best game I've ever been in!" The Broncos are historic team in our league. They are the only team other than Miami who has been undefeated in the regular 14-game season era in the LIEFL. That was in 1978 and that season they made it to me playoffs but in the first round they were beaten major upset to Billy O'C's Buffalo Bills, losing 28-27! CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. GREEN BAY PACKERS When the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns took the field the ambience of the buzz, we hear in electric football was unmistaken before the game as Coach Viggs worked on his Packers. Then we dipped the bottom of the very tip of the player base on our running backs and receivers in water to be sure all are professionally prepared to play each game, clear from any particles that may be logged in the teeth of the base. In the LIEFL, they have to be perfect because we have finicky coaches! We knew this would be a great game building up for these two (3-1) historic teams in the Long Island Electric Football League. The Packers and their preservation in our league are historic. They are one of the original seven teams born along with the Miami Dolphins to play the first ever game in our league between an international female athlete and her son. Their coach can play with anyone who plays the game. Coach Viggs is on the verge of making more history in our league. He has won 99 games with this Packers team! They are currently (99-77) all-time, and rank #4 all-time in the Long Island Electric Football League or LIEFL. The Browns are currently (78-73) ranked #14th in the LIEFL. The reason why we picked the 495 logo is because anyone who visits Long Island learns that we have one of the busiest trafficked highways in the eastern United States. The logo best suits us because we are busy people! This was an intense and hard-hitting game. The excitement building up to the game between Coach Matt “Zoo-York” and Coach Ed Viggs produced the excitement. Matt is leading the league in coaching wins, now (13-7), and Coach Viggs now at (13-8) is one of the top guys to beat. In fact, Viggs is the guy to beat! Green Bay's fullback Jim Taylor brought the intensity as he toughed it out for the second week in a row rushing for exactly 107 yards again. Taylor moved left and then was turned right running right behind a hole opened up by Ray Nitschke for a gorgeous 59-yard touchdown run which had us wondering how he did it. We are sure other coaches around the world ask how their plastic figures pull these plays off as well. Watch out for Taylor on the rise. This game came down to the wire with time running out in regulation down to their final play, the great Jim Brown just couldn't get the job done. Brown took it 42 yards on the last play to the 1-yard line just short of tying the game and sending it into overtime. The Browns missed the opportunity. Opportunities don’t come easy again Green Bay at home. But the Browns made a statement to the AFC, and they can compete with the best. They did a great job shutting down the special teams of green bay limiting Sterling Sharpe to just 75 yards on kick returns. It was a fast-paced game with lots of great defense and plays, especially by Jim Taylor who seemed to just do things on his own. We would imagine it's in any League it's hard to win on the road especially our league where the home team gets the ball first automatically as is our tradition. The Packers are now (4-1) after winning this battle14-10! They face Coach Joey Pizz' Minnesota Vikings at home next week and they finish at Detroit to battle for a playoff spot. Coach Viggs said, "Zoo York" played a great game and I really like those Cleveland Browns. They are a class act tough team this year and they are going places. We have a feeling we might see them again because I don't think anybody in the AFC is as good other than maybe Miami. His Browns are playing at a high level, but hey, we have Sterling Sharpe and a few other great players who aren't going to back down to anybody in a big game.” The Packers are just one win away from celebrating their 100th win, joining Miami, Washington, and Denver on the 100 win list in Long Island EFL history's golden franchise and historic record. These teams would be competitive in any league in the world. LIEFL Week #6 might turn out to be the matchup of the year for Cleveland Coach Matt-Zoo as they travel to Pittsburgh to play Coach Paddy Brannigan’s Steelers for a huge division game that could decide the outcome of the division. Before the game against Kansas City, Brannigan said, “The Steelers are playing some great football and stopping ‘The Bus’ Jerome Bettis will be a huge task for the Browns defense. After we upset Kansas City we are coming after the Browns for the showdown. Zoo is a good coach, but in his last three games his Browns will face a guy in Bettis who rushed for 85 yards against the Bengals, 118 yards against the Raiders, and 152 yards against the ‘almighty’ Titans. That is what opened my eyes. Stop us if you can. I played around with my team in the offseason by scrimmaging a few friends who play with their kids, and I made my guys in the trenches battle ready. They beat Tennessee who at the time were undefeated. We will be ready! I need to get at least one of my teams to the playoffs.” INDIANAPOLIS COLTS VS ARIZONA CARDINALS In another terrific game the 2020 playoff Indianapolis Colts played a great game against the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona and the game came down to the last seconds where the Cardinals won the game 24-21. OJ Anderson (#32 PHOTO INSET) played such a great game! He unleashed 143 rushing yards with two touchdowns including a 61-yard scamper through the war in the trenches by two tough hard-hitting teams. Colts running back Joseph Addai finished the day with 300 all-purpose yards with three touchdowns. Addai is in top there in the LIEFL in three categories: rushing, kick returns, and all-purpose yards for Indianapolis, now (2-3). He is a dangerous player this season with 56 touches for 1399 total yards with 12 touchdowns. The Cardinals are loaded with offensive weapons. They are one or two draft picks away from being a Super Bowl contender. Arizona's LIEFL All-Pro Mel Gray exploded for 227 yards for the Cardinals, including a 71-yard touchdown pass to put Arizona ahead for good! As they say, “It's not over until it's over.” The Cardinals (2-3) face Levi Vicks Dallas Cowboys (1-3) at Dallas next week. Both of these teams are hanging on for dear life to make the playoffs. The Colts (2-3) are home against the Raiders (2-2) and their last game is at Jacksonville for the season finale! Bring on the intensity! Coach Matt Zoo-York’s Carolina Panthers remain tied for 1st Place in the NFC South with Atlanta. LIEFL All-Pro running back DeShaun Foster exploded for 163 rushing yards with touchdown runs of 30, 45, and 17 yards. This guy came to play as the Panthers crushed division rival Tampa Bay 21-17! Coach Joy Pizz and his Buccaneers fell apart after beating the Rams two weeks ago 7-6. In another great game Coach Levi Vick’s much-improved Houston Texans (2-3) lost to Coach Ed Viggs tough Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) 14-13, in a nail-biter! Texans running back Ron Dayne had 190 all-purpose yards, 8 of those were rushing, with one touchdown! LaDainian Tomlinson finished with 114 yards with 63 in rushing and a 49-yard touchdown run. The Texans defense played tough! We asked Coach Billy O’C what’s going on? He has lost two more games in a row this week in Week #5. His Rams (2-3) who are two-time LIEFL Super Bowl Champs, and his Bills (2-3) also lost. O’C (10-10) said, “Nothing is wrong really, the draft has caught up to the league and coaches. Really, that’s what is going on. Every game is a battle and I have to work hard on being a better coach every game. The league is getting better and improving. We are not sick of the game, it is our personal space outside of family life and work to have a great time for a few months out of the year. As for the league, there isn’t confidence anymore to me anyway, that a team automatically wins because of their past record. It is great for the league. I am not happy I dropped two in a row, but I can see how the draft makes an electric football league incredible. We just didn’t have the money as kids to buy new player bases to replace those who couldn’t perform, but these days, the weak link is identified for each individual player and … Boom, the change is made!” Coach Joey Pizz said, “We have thousands of old bases that could have been overlooked since 2008’s first LIEFL draft, and we are all allowed to find the base that performs best during the season.” The Patriots are an example of one of those teams. Immediately after Coach Vick refurbished his Patriots, he had a plan to make them shine. Teddy Bruschi’s new player base helped anchor the line, and Matt Light at tackle and Vince Wilfork have helped New England to win three in a row and turn their season around with wins over the Saints 17-14, Colts 21-17, and this week against Bills 21-17! These teams are no pushover. Now we have to plan differently for each team and be able to make fast thinking adjustments.” Billy O’C continued, “Never would I have thought that my Rams (PHOTO INSET #28 MINNESOTA'S ADRIAN PETERSON RUNS FOR 100 YARD KICK RETURN), who have so many weapons, would lose to Joey Pizz Vikings, but the Vikings have improved with so many weapons too. Like Levi Vick’s Patriots, these coaches have worked hard to put the best 11-men on the field to compete. The LIEFL is about the best 11-men. Your substitute in this league is finding the best player bases for those 11. We don’t have 20- and 30-man rosters, and there is nothing wrong with that if you do, but you still have to beat the 40 second clock in the league to get those guys on and off the field. One surprise to me is the Seahawks. I thought that because of the season they had in the playoffs in 2020, making it to the NFC Divisional Championship Game, that they would be fierce this year. They are (0-4), but they have a very strong team. I can’t figure that one out.” Patriots coach Levi Vick said, “It’s crazy because the Rams have improved too. Ricky Proehl’s new player base gave Billy O’C a 74-yard touchdown pass today. Also, keep in mind both of his games were on the road, but to see what I have done with my Pats is incredible. Before I came into the league this team competed in the LIEFL Super Bowl, so I wanted to bring that pride back. For Lawrence Maroney to rush for 180 yards against Billy O’C’s tough Buffalo Bills defense … This really opened eyes. No team is safe in this league and every single team is competitive. That’s the way a league should be, constantly improving. The balance is amazing! These coaches know the game of football beyond plastic figures. I was a third string player in high school.” Billy O’C concluded, “We finally figured out how to balance the league after 50 years. Just look what the Ravens did to the Packers and what the Bucs did to my Rams.” "Our uniforms are pristine. In the LIEFL each coach MUST meet the LIEFL professional uniform standard. We play for pay! We only use the Tudor Games 67-Big Men to play, and there are no variations allowed in our single-stop league when it comes to paint, weight, player bases, etc. Nor are long delays for sticks for passing allowed, and our tackle rules are superior. If you run into the back of a player on a run or pass it's no tackle in our league and the second a receiver is out-of-bounds, they are no longer eligible to make a play during that play. The same for the quarterback. We turn the QB around to run in the opposite direction. He is allowed to run 20 yards and the QB must pass and the game stops just once. We don't do countdown rules which only adds wasted time to our game, or any rule that takes away from fast set-ups or the natural continuity, free-flow, and the speed and time of the game. That isn't realistic", said League analyst and Long Island Sports Hall of Fame and Historian, Andrew Slawson of Slawson's Corner. Coach Joey Bino said, "Field Goals are not allowed past 65 yards. We use the NFL record to set that rule. Strategy? There is never any turning of bases at any time after a catch to chase a man down with all those countdowns in this league--hello Freeport-Chucker, you got burned! Like other leagues, we make our own excitement and rules. We are not the NFL, but we pride our league on being intense, and we try to give a sense of high-octane pressure on the field with these rules during battle so that the decision-making process psychologically, feels lifelike to our coaches. Watching our newest member struggle internally in his inaugural season with us saw him in panic for the first 3 weeks of play when he was (0-10) with countless penalties which proved very costly to him at the beginning of the season. Boy did he grow as a two-time Super Bowl Champ from the League he came from. He is great now!" Coach Paddy Brannigan said, "In our league, pass all day if that's your game and equalize the pass with the running game. Four men can be in the backfield and at all times receivers have to line up in their lane. We don't give a darn if players touch on the line. Then coaches have to deal with high pressure between 40-second sets, time clock mindfulness, and any edge they can get to perform at the highest level in the LIEFL. It is all about tradition professional standards and uniforms for clarity of the league as you can see by the photos. Everything is voted on including rules, logistics, planning, and the LIEFL Draft which has changed the competitive environment and nature of this great league and game." LIEFL Commissioner Billy O'C said, "Ballers of EF have to be reliable in our league. They pay league dues. We have a sponsor who sends the two finalist to our Super Bowl in Florida. We respect the game wholeheartedly, but we also wish Tudor remade some of those speedy trendy player bases of the 70's from whatever molding they used in the past. We would really buy thousands of those unique bases. As for the older version gameboards, we'd pay the $150 or $200 if the board is as high quality as the 1970's boards." PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS KANSAS CITY CHIEFS In LIEFL Week six, it might turn out to be the matchup of the year for Cleveland Coach Matt-Zoo as they travel to Pittsburgh to play Coach Paddy Brannigan’s Steelers for a huge division game that could decide the outcome of the division. Brannigan said, “The Steelers are playing some great football and stopping ‘The Bus’ Jerome Bettis will be a huge task for the Browns defense. After we upset Kansas City we are coming after the Browns for the showdown. They beat Tennessee who at the time were undefeated. We will be ready! I need to get at least one of my teams to the playoffs.” The Chiefs (4-1) are now tied with the Los Angeles Chargers for first place by outlasting the Steelers (2-3) in a tough defensive battle 14-7! The Steelers are still alive in the battle for the AFC North! Brannigan had to eat his words that his Steelers would upset these Chiefs. Turns out they are a good team but still suspect after losing to the AFC West Los Angeles Chargers in Los Angeles last week. 3. What a week! Wait until you see this week's excitement! The battles are raging! Keep the stories coming!
  4. THAT IS AWESOME!!! I love when the underdog can do that! Three on the scoreboard is great and that is very impressive to hang with the legends! The great equalizer is the run in our league, and the intensity is building! You gotta love it! Keep sharing I love it and I know everyone reads the Forums because we all contribute and funnel through Slawson. Chris, I have lots of player bases for you and other stuff. When my school semester ends at the end of the week I will send some stuff.
  5. That's what we thought as well! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Last season Odell Beckham did the same thing and this year I'm on Bradshaw for the Giants did it. It really is quite a feat especially when a single player does it. It's like the phenomenal hat trick and hockey only in Electric football it seems nearly impossible. Thanks for the great brotherhood and inclusion and if you go to the National Electric Football Game Museum they do great things there as well to preserve our history. We would love to check out your history and stats!

  8. LEGENDS NEVER DIE! JIM BROWN EXPLODES AS CLEVELAND TOPS LAS VEGAS 31-28 IN A LIEFL WEEK 4 OT STUNNER! (Photo transformed by Be Funky Art) Cleveland's Jim Brown (32) put on an offensive show this week with a record 438 all-purpose yards with three 100-yark kick returns for touchdowns on the day beating the tough Las Vegas Raiders 31-28 in an overtime thriller! This year's top LIEFL coach is Matt "Zoo-York" at (11-5)! Zoo has his Browns on top of the AFC North at (3-1) ready to face Coach Ed Viggs Green Bay Packers (3-1) in Week #5 beginning today! Written by Billy O'C with Levi Vick and Joey Pizz. (Long Island, New York) December 10, 2022. Welcome to Long Island New York's Long Island Electric Football League warriors with eight people and an alternate coach with some retired, but all have a passion for this throwback game we love called electric football. They knew what they were doing when it all started on Johnson Street in Brooklyn almost 75 years ago! Our league was established in 1972 by an international female athlete with her son and it branched out into the neighborhood by 1974. The kids had the savvy to keep records from the start, it was the mindset. Here we are in 2022 talking on a Forum because the current owner's of Tudor give a darn to evolve our tradition! And, thank goodness for people like Chris LeMay, curator of the National Electric Football Game Museum and his efforts, our preservation is there! So for those of us who love fantasy, we make the game unforgettable as we carry on our rich tradition of playing our childhood favorite hobby! There are all kinds of electric football experts and enthusiasts out there. One guy even contacted us from Long Island and said ... I am so and so and I've done this and that, so he's basically Mr. Electric Football because he was acknowledged by the press and he said he never heard of us. LIEFL Coach Johnny Freeport-Chucker a former Homicide Detective said, "We are the great eight in the Long Island Electric Football League in a world of our own, and we are rich in history, with all well kept meticulous records beginning in the 1970's and we don't care who you are--have fun, just contribute to the hobby and show me the money! When our league really became competitive was in 2008 with the LIEFL DRAFT. Everyone is great in our hobby, even the bull-talkers like me." We encourage all coaches to show their history and use Tudor's Forum page to explode the hobby for future generations to come! This week was a week of upsets in the LONG ISLAND ELECTRIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE as we celebrate our 50th year in the hobby. The Panthers upset the Bills, the winless Ravens beat our 2020 LIEFL Super Bowl Champion Packers, the Steelers stopped the undefeated Titans, the Falcons beat the 49ers, and the Saints beat the Buccaneers! The pressure is on in the road less traveled with one coach taking the big prize at Long Island Super Bowl XVII in Coquina Key, Florida. It is amazing how money motivates coaches and what money does to influence our decisions. HONORABLE MENTION: NE-Rob Gronkowski DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: HOU-Eric Winston (5 Tackles) vs. Jaguars For the Long Island Electric Football League Week #4, the coaches in the league are talking. There is something special going on in Cleveland with Matt “Zoo York” Cleveland Browns (3-1)! They opened up losing a tough overtime game in Kansas City 16-10, but since that game they have settling in winning three straight against Houston 21-17, Chicago 7-3, and this week’s historic game 31-28 against the Raiders in the game of the week! This coach really won in the LIEFL Draft. The Browns and Titans have been put on the radar this year as a team to watch. This is the same Browns team who in 2017 were seated #1 in the AFC Divisional Championship Game only to be embarrassed by Billy O’C’s Buffalo Bills in the AFC Playoffs 45-14. The Browns were Stomped by OJ Simpson and left with lots of unanswered questions because the Browns looked like the team to beat until the resurgence of Buffalo. The Bills were the first Wild Card team to win a Super Bowl in the League, LIEFL Super Bowl XIII in dramatic fashion. The Browns are different this season. Coach Zoo-York Seems to have found a triple threat behind a tough offense line, great running, and one of the best special-teams’ units in the game with legendary running back LIEFL All-Pro Jim Brown crushing it! Brown is at the top of the league this year after four weeks of play, with 862 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns, all 100-yard kick returns! The difference is when the Browns had that powerhouse team in 2017, the Browns did not have the offensive game they have this season. In 2020, Jim Brown was 17-1001-2/2x100TD and ranked #12 in the LIEFL AFC in kick returns. The Browns have earned a different respect this season and it is obvious they are going to compete hard for a title on the AFC North. The draft has changed the entire dynamic of the team with the new running back player base from the draft Mike Pruitt, two linebacker’s player bases, and one lineman. Matt did a great job in the draft and made great selections from the “pool” of new draft bases. What happens in the draft is obviously the teams who underperformed get first grabs in the order of their wins-losses, ultimately getting the best player bases from the draft. We had 200 player base bottoms and 50 new potential running back bottoms to choose from, all paid for with league dues. Each bottom, just like in your leagues, gets tested using our best lineman to compete against first, which eliminates useless player bases. Then a pool of the very best player base bottoms goes into the draft and the team with the worst records the year before gets picks in order so that the league remains completely competitive. Matt studied those bottoms and now everybody wants to know his secret, but he learned from his friend Coach Viggs to keep his mouth and keep his information to himself. Of course, the loudest mouth of all the Johnny “Freeport Chucker” claims that these guys are cheating because he showed up for the draft an hour late. Whose fault is that? Zoo York’s teams are on fire and at this point he is the number one coach in the league with a 11-5 record! THE GAME: The game of the week saw Coach Matt Zoo- York's Cleveland Browns beat Coach Kevin Mac's Raiders in 3:43 of overtime in a sensational win for the Browns! We have to take the Browns for real with Jim Brown leading the way with a stunning total 438 all-purpose yards. Imagine, he had three electrifying 100-yard touchdown runs and the coaches were so loud going wild with excitement in disbelief in the room! Brown earned player of the week, and the game was voted LIEFL Game of the Week by the coaches! There were nearly 30 plays in a 30-minte game with a 40 second setup clock, goes into the Long Island Electric Football League record books as one of the greatest games of so many, but an unforgettable one, nonetheless. Las Vegas Dave Casper played an incredible game with seconds left and the score tied 28-28, Casper slipped by the defender and caught a 12 yard pass to tie the game and send it into OT, until the Browns won the coin toss in overtime beating Las Vegas 31-28! They advance to (3-1). This game with the league tested high-speed Buzz was so fast paced with 59 points between the two teams and 914 total yards in the game! Cleveland will face Green Bay in a huge test next week with Coach Matt Zoo-York against Coach Ed Viggs his mentor. What a great game that is going to be. It will be all hands-on-deck watching that one with every coach buzzing about it! Big things are happening in the league and the unexpected as well. The once dominant coaches of the LIEFL are being beaten in big games, and it is great for the league! All we care about is league intensity and competitiveness. That's what we think makes the Long Island Electric Football League and leagues around the country so amazing, Competition! This league is professional, organized, structured, with a competitive intensity. Billy O’C dropped two huge games with two of his top teams the Rams who lost last week to Coach Joey Pizz' Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-6, to Joey Pizz’. That was a major upset and then this week O'C's Buffalo Bills were beaten at home 21-20 by the almighty Carolina Panthers who have been so close to making a Super Bowl in this league for the last three seasons. Coach Billy OC's having a rough go at it in the LIEFL’s week #4 action. O J Simpson and the Buffalo Bills were outmatched by Matt Zoo York's Carolina Panthers with return specialist Greg Jones winning the game on 100-yard touchdown run with 1 minute left to go in the game to outmatch Buffalo 21-20 in a game that Buffalo needed. What a game it was! The intensity is building in the league, and you can feel it in the air that the competition will only get better as the season and coaches take on an “air” of their own. Matt Zoo-York’s Panthers are in a perfect position to win another game as they face the Cinderella Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week at home! OJ Simpson's effort of 257 yards with one touchdown went in the can, and DeShaun Foster had 139 yds rushing as his front line carried him against one of the best front lines in the Long Island Electric Football League in Billy OC's Buffalo Bills. It's very exciting to watch. In the last four seasons Carolina has been an NFC finalist twice. Are the Panthers making their move this year? The Los Angeles Chargers and Coach Ed Viggs whipped division rival Kansas City Chiefs 21-7 this week after losing to them last week 17-14. Chargers LIEFL All-Pro running back LaDainian Tomlinson wasn't having a loss. He put 167 rushing yards together and 275 all-purpose yards behind LIEFL All-Pro Lineman Earl Faison. Tomlinson scored three big touchdowns giving him eight on the season, as the Chargers (3-1) are now tied with the Chiefs (3-1) for first place in the division! The Chargers defense stopped Chiefs running back Priest Holmes and held him to just five carries on the day. These Chargers and Chiefs will battle in the end for the division title! In other action New England Patriots second year LIEFL Coach Levi Vick pulled off a major upset over the Indianapolis Colts in week #4 with a 21-17 victory! The Patriots LIEFL All-Pro Rob Gronkowski had two 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns and on the last play of the game Gronk caught a 75-yard touchdown pass to pull off the win against the Indianapolis Colts who are now (2-2)! The Patriots (2-2) are on their way back with two big wins in a row and for week five coach Vick surprised the league with stunning new uniforms on his England Patriots 67 big men meeting League regulations to perfection! We don't allow all these other style players in our league. Everything comes from Tudor Games 67-big men. Everybody gets to inspect the team. Before the season Vick had said that he might showcase one of his teams being retrofitted. Long Island Hall of Fame Sports Historian Andy Slawson of Slawson’s Corner said, “The LIEFL has very strict standardized rules and uniform regulations. We don't bend our rules.” Coach Joey Pizz said, "I love that we are a one stop League. We don't turn players around after the catch to chase other players in our league. When you get burned you get burned. We don't use sticks or any tools to aid in passing. You either are going to make the pass and complete the pass or it's lights out. This year up for voting is the no stop rule again, which has been voted down two seasons in a row. Coach Viggs seems to think that this will be even more realistic to increase the speed of the game." Viggs said, "I would never play in a league where you have to stop the game more than once after the pass and allow people to turn around to chase the guy, that's ridiculous. And I would never play in a league where you get all these countdowns on the setups, it's crazy. Using sticks and all that other nonsense is just not for me. It takes away from the game. The real skill is in true to speed in lifelike situations whether or not you can compete and perform under stressful situations without all the stops, sticks and countdowns for setups. It takes away from feeling the pressure of the game. To me that's not realistic, especially since I played football my entire life on two Rutgers Cup championship teams. Whether they are plastic men or not you want them the game to feel intense. It's such a waste of time." This is a very fast-paced game in our league and the speed dial is amped up for full effect. If a player has the ball runs into the back of an opponent, it is not considered a tackle in the LIEFL because he runs into the back of the player base and a player who is running away from you is not going to tackle you backwards. Also, once a player is out of bounds, he is considered out of the play and ineligible. who you run into their back, cannot make a tackle if you were on a football field. It has to be the front of the player base or side that makes the tackle. Also, this year we will vote on our 30 second clock instead of 40 which will really increase the pace of the league and the game. The loud mouth of the league Johnny Freeport Chucker was true to his word beating coach Viggs Packers, dishing out the first loss of the season for the Packers and Coach Ed Viggs. The rest of the league will never hear the end of this win! Chucker said, "What did I tell you? The Pretty Boy finally gets a loss by the better coach. I said it last year that his Packers were overrated and that they had luck on their side. This year my team is going to have luck on my side and I'm going to win that prize in the end. My Ravens team hasn't won a single game. We come out here on my home field and beat the best team in the league and these guys don't want to give me any credit. Viggie will learn this year that you can't always get what you want. That's okay, I'm going to do the same to every coach that I play from here on in. My goal is to ruin the playoff chances of every team in this league with the exception of mine." It appears that the Chucker might have Coach Viggs number with his Ravens kryptonite. Chucker’s Atlanta Falcons won too. They upset San Francisco on their home turf 7-3 in a wild defensive game. League sensation Gerald Riggs was held to just 38 yards the entire game. Losing one game to the Chucker is bad enough, but Coach Viggs dropped two in one evening! Viggs had no comment after the game. But the Freeport Chucker just kept running his mouth. We cannot complain about how Chucker played today, his teams were really on! We have to agree that he put on a show even though it was 7-3, he put all the stops on the 49ers high-powered offense giving coach Viggs a reality check. San Francisco (2-2) is now tied for first with the Los Angeles Rams (2-2). The Eagles (2-2) Keith Byars (41) had 230 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns with 148 yards rushing against division rival Washington Redskins (1-3) as Philadelphia climbs in the NFC EAST with their 21-17 win! Coach Billy OC said, “I love that other leagues have such dynamic rules, that's what makes this game so great. People have their own way of playing electric football. I respect all the people that play the game. It's a beautiful way to keep a game from the 1950s alive and vibrant and teach a whole new generation of people the joy of playing electric football. So, whatever the rules are whatever the league is, whoever plays the game, it's a game for everyone to enjoy. I don't take it too seriously and even though we play for money, if I lose, I still know that I had a great time playing the game. These two guys Coach Viggs and Johnny Freeport-Chucker, are my favorite coaches to watch. Viggs because he's just the master preparation, and Chucker because every league needs a guy like him in the league with that passion. I think this year we are facing real challenges against other coaches. I love how Levi Vick has transformed his teams and he's brought some great competitive Spirit to this league. If the next person gets approved, I'm sure they'll do the same thing." In that Ravens-Packers game between these two coaches, the Packers had the lead with a minute left to play 14-10 when LIEFL All-Pro specialist Derrick Mason returned the ball 96 yards setting up a quarterback sneak one play later as the Ravens win on the 21-yard scoring a touchdown 17-14 on the last play of the game! League founders, Coach Viggs and Billy O’C are going to have a run for their money this year in this league. Viggs lost his sixth game! The coaches in this league is catching up fast. It seemed to be a week like we never saw before filled with upsets. The Giants, who lost their last game of the season to Dallas, kicking them out of the playoffs in 2020 beat the Cowboys this time in overtime 17-14! The lethal offensive combination of Saquon Barkley and Ahman Bradshaw proved to be the difference in the game. Bradshaw was the setup man with 197 special teams’ all-purpose yards and Barkley carried the ground game with 112 rushing yards and a touchdown. Bradshaw (9-878-5/4 X 100TD) ranks third in the LIEFL NFC in all-purpose yards behind Atlanta's Gerald Riggs, and Washington's Tony Green. Coach Joey Pizz and his New York Football Giants are on fire! The Dallas Cowboys cannot afford to lose another game because it will eliminate them from having a playoff shot. The Giants lead the Long Island Electric Football League in offense with 90 points scored! Pizz said that he is not overconfident, but he is proud of the way his Giants are competing this season. 2022-23 LIEFL Leaders SLAWSON’S CORNER: Long Island EFL Leaders after Week#4 2022-23 LONG ISLAND ELECTRIC FOOTBALL AFC RUSHING LEADERS PLAYER LIEFL RECORD AFC RECORD: MIA Morris 2019-59-693-13TDS 2020 LEADERS INCLUDES YEAR, RANK, ATTEMPTS, YARDS, TDS, LONGEST PLAY AFC LEADERS CURRENT 2022-23 Tomlinson-LAC 3 2020/30-394-6/58TD 30-448-7/58TD Henry-TENN 2022-23 FIRST SEASON 25-398-6/64TD Holmes-KC 10 2020/16-176-3/60TD 30-398-6/60TD Bettis-PITT 5 2020/39-304-5/40TD 32-384-5/64, 62TD Taylor-JAC 15 2020/21-47-0/21 36-342-6/65TD Morris-MIA 6 2020/29-252-4/40TD 33-342-4/38TD Addai-IND 2 2020/32-405-6/72 35-339-8/39 Lewis-BAL 4 2020/26-321-5/55TD 19-299-5/61 Dayne-HOU 11 2020/26-170-2/38TD 28-295-5/44TD Simpson-BUF 1 2020/51-633-11/57TD 24-265-4/55 Woods-CIN 9 2020/29-186-1/43 22-226-3/51TD B. 14. WEEK #3: GIANTS BRADSHAW STEALS SHOW WITH THREE 100 YARD TDS TO EDGE RIGGS AND FALCONS IN OFFENSIVE WAR 28-24! On the big field of the LIEFL, like a Pro, New York Gaints Ahman Bradshaw (44) was electrifying with his three 100-yard touchdown returns enough to beat the undefeated Atlanta Falcons and Gerald Riggs 24-21 in Week #3! (Photo Transformed using BEFUNKY) Written and submitted by LIEFL Alternate Coach Joe Bino: Things are beginning to heat up in the Long Island Electric Football Week three action. In the game of the week, for the second consecutive week, this time on the winning end, it was the Coach Joey Pizz Giants in a highly anticipated game edged the high-flying undefeated Dirty Birds, Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in a strategic battle of special teams, position, and possession! This one had Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker’s Falcons chasing the score the entire game, yelling as usual trying to get in Pizz game, but it didn’t work. The match-up between Giants Special Teams player Ahman Bradshaw and Falcons Superstar Gerald Riggs was electrifying from the start! Bradshaw opened with a 100-yard touchdown and Riggs returned a 92 yarder to open for the Falcons. It was game on from that point on! Bradshaw returned a total of three 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns and the Giants soured! Riggs detonated an astounding 382 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to beat New York on their home turf. What a Game! In other league action Kevin Maloney’s Tennessee Titans (3-0) are opening eyes. Out of nowhere, the undefeated Titans beat Billy O'C's top ranked Indianapolis Colts (2-1) 24-21 in the battle for the Southern tier of LIEFL. Titans Rookie running back Derrick Henry bombed the Colts defense with 171 unanswered yards rushing with touchdown runs of 64, 59, and five yards as the Titans remain unbeaten! Coach Billy O'C said, "This Titans team is for real in the AFC! I was very impressed with the improvements Coach Mac made and his entire offensive has shifted to a very aggressive one. He has weapons and this will be a team to be reckoned with." Maloney "Mac" said, "It felt great to beat a great coach. Hopefully my Titans will take the league by surprise and make the playoffs again this year. They just need to compete and the magic will happen on it's own with Henry, Jones and the line." Henry’s performance landed him in the LIEFL record books as one of the top five 7-Game season performers of all-time, right under New York Jets Bruce Harper’s record 177-yard game against Miami in 2008! Henry is a beast and if he keeps playing like this, he will make All-Pro and be feared by opponents. A hundred yards rushing in the LIEFL is a big deal! On the other end of the ball LIEFL All-Pro Running Back Joseph Addai went 12-249-2TDS all-purpose yards, 76 of those yards were rushing and 173 yards on kick returns. The South is brewing for war between the Titans (3-0), Colts (2-1), Jaguars (1-2) and Texans (2-1)! The LIEFL Super Bowl XVI 2020 Champion Green Bay Packers defense dominated the first-place west coast San Francisco 49ers in Week Three, 21-13! Packers Sterling Sharpe answered the call after 49ers Jerry Rice, who finished with 258 yards and a touchdown blazed a hundred-yard kick return for a touchdown into the endzone with San Francisco trailing 14-3. Sharpe then sealed the deal for Green Bay with his own 100-yard thriller cutting straight through the middle of the field untouched! The Pack moves to (3-0)! Sharpe finished with 199 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns! Packers halfback Terdell Middleton took a 98-yard pass into the endzone as Coach Viggs battled his own 49ers against Coach Bino. Viggs said, “The Pack is going to come to play hard each week. We are going to let you know we are here. To beat the 49ers on their home turf was my first statement that last our 2020 Super Bowl run was no fluke with these Green Bay Packers.” The Packers play the winless Ravens (0-3) in Baltimore next week. The Cowboys are at the Giants next week in a huge division game between Coach Levi Vick and Coach Joey Pizz. Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker and his Falcons face Coach Viggs red-hot 49ers at San Francisco … What matchups! Chucker said, “I aint worried about Viggie, it is an upset in the making. I have a few surprises for the “Pretty-Boy” who can’t do anything wrong in this league, makes me sick! We will be ready this year to dish out reality to the 49ers. I will get in his game. I am the best in the league, and at 6’4” 250 pounds, I am thinking about making a player after me!" There was no comment from Coach Viggs. Andy Slawson of Slawson’s Corner said, “This guy with his monster ego never backs up his trash talk, and his big mouth gets shut every time he plays. Great guy, but when it comes to electric football, Chucker is the biggest sore loser on the planet. Viggs will embarrass him silently.” Let the games and trash talk begin! Houston’s Ron Dayne is sizzling the playing field! He exploded for three more touchdowns against a playoff contender opponent in the Carolina Panthers, beating Carolina (2-1), 21-14! Dayne has a league leading 8 touchdowns rushing for 100 yards on eight carries against a playoff contender in Carolina. He had a 32-yard reception for a touchdown, and he had kicked up 129 yards in kick-returns, totaling 12-261-3/51! Dayne sits at the top of the AFC in all-purpose yards with 36-854-8TDS/100TD this season! He is close to being on a record setting pace to tie or break Atlanta’s Gerald Riggs 2019 LIEFL all-purpose yards record set in 2019, with 78-2339-21TDS, our first ever 2,000-yard player in a 7-game season! San Francisco’s Ricky Watters holds the LIEFL single 7-game season rushing record with 925 yards in 2019. We don't think that record will ever be broken, but you never know. One thing is clear the LIEFL coaches really like Coach Levi Vick’s direction with the Texans (2-1). He has brought them back to life as respected contenders this year. Vick was tormented and league hazed as a LIEFL rookie, but no longer! He is no stranger to big games. In his old Nassau County league, he won two Super Bowl titles. Coach Vick said, “These guys are in a league of their own and they need the competition which I think I bring. They don’t care about Tudor rules, they’ve been at this for a very long time and are in a tight league that in my mind is as competitive as any in the country. We are playing for nice money. The league is structured, organized and regulated. I love that there are no souped up over painted players, or overweighed guys, it’s professional, the way I think a league should be run. Trash talkers? There are enough trash talkers here to go around the world. The Freeport Chucker and Paddy Brannigan are the biggest I’ve met but working the streets of Harlem and the South Bronx, I am along for the ride to make a statement about my gameplay. I am not intimidated. I have a different feeling this year. Make no mistake, I want to win the big money prize just like anyone else in this league and if that doesn’t motivate a coach, what else does? During the pandemic, I had time to play with my teams and build them to compete hard every week. Every team in this league is competitive and I love the way Billy O’C handles the draft. The balance is magical really. I feel more in control of my guys knowing I’ve designed some excellent plays. The guy to beat is Viggs.” Coach Billy O’C’s Buffalo Bills (2-1) and OJ Simpson stormed passed Coach Viggs Washington Redskins (1-2), cooling them down and holding Tony Green to just 106 total yards. Buffalo is back in playoff form. Simpson had 94 yards rushing with two touchdowns for the Bills with 132 yards in kick-returns to give Buffalo the edge in Week Three 14-10! Coach Viggs is (7-2) on the season, and Billy O’C is (7-2)! O’C got the better of Viggs in this one. O’C said, “I think people in this league forgot that OJ Simpson crushed it in LIEFL Super Bowl XI with seven touchdowns in the game against one of the better teams in the Lions who had just come from winning a Super Bowl the year before. Simpson, setting many records as the Bills had one of the best Super Bowl teams in the history of our league. OJ is having another big year! Coach Viggs said, “We have yet to see a video like that one made playing electric football where Simpson seems alive. A little luck and fate never hurt anyone. Simpson would be a star in any league. In fact, many of the running backs in this league would boost any team. 15. Such a great step for electric football thank you for making this happen!
  16. BROWNS WIN SECOND STRAIGHT OVER BEARS 7-3! BUSSEY'S 83 RUSHING YARDS CAGES RAVENS 14-7! It was (24) Dexter Bussey's speed and resilience that beat the Baltimore Ravens to the punch for the Lions as Bussey finished the day with 159 all purpose yards with two touchdown runs, handing the Baltimore Ravens their third straight loss! Long Island Electric Football, (November 24, 2022). Going to war is interesting when it comes to coaching. On any given day we all know, all of us ballers in the brotherhood of electric football, that anything can happen, but the Cleveland Browns (2-1) were able to contain the tough Chicago Bears (1-2). Maybe the real story of the day is Cleveland and their defense. They held LIEFL All-Pro star return Man Willie Gault to just 69 yards total yards in the game. That was enough to give the Browns what they needed to edge the Bears 7-3! Cleveland ran the ball 12 times behind the emerging Mike Pruitt who finished the day with 47 yards rushing with one touchdown. Pruitt and the Cleveland front line kept the ball almost the entire first half. That's was that was all Cleveland needed to beat Chicago on Thanksgiving Day! The Browns are plowing through a tough schedule but man do they look good this season after a strong draft! The Browns face the Raiders at home next week and they have a chance to break the season wide open if they can beat Las Vegas. Chicago has a rough road ahead in one of the toughest divisions in the LIEFL. They will be a contender! William Perry had three tackles in the game, but it wasn't enough to beat that Browns offensive line. With the Lions you never know what Dexter Bussey has in mind. The Lions continue to bring tradition to Long Island Electric Football with one of the most electrifying players in our game, among many stars. Bussey ran the ball 12 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns including a 29-yard TD scamper which gave the Detroit Lions their first win of the season over the winless Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens contained Bussey's special teams to just two kick returns for 76 yards, a season low for the speedy back. The Lions started the season (72-74) all-time, ranked #16 in the LIEFL. Bussey now has an all-time 11,163 all-purpose yards with 78 touchdowns in his career in the LIEFL and he goes down as one of the most electrifying players in the league! Last year Bussey rushed for 34-471-9TDS. He had one receptions for a 70 yard touchdown, and he had 20-1322 kick return yards with six of those 20 returns for 100 yard touchdown runs, totaling 1,863 all-purpose yards! With five LIEFL All-Pro's on the Ravens and Ravens All-Pro Derrick Mason, he did not see action until the second half and the Lions kept Baltimore's offense caged. Ravens running back Jamal Lewis had just 42 yards rushing against a brutal Detroit defense as the Detroit Lions beat the Baltimore Ravens 14-7! Detroit wouldn't let that clock beat them and Bussey was the clock killer running right and left with Johnny Freeport running his mouth the entire game, basically trying to psych out Joe Bino the alternate coach into making mistakes, and it worked. Bino said, "The guy is a league nemesis and his talk on the field doesn't match his team's performance. To keep Bussey under 200 yards is a success. We may have lost the game but we gave our all." Who could forget Derrick Mason's stellar play in last year's playoffs when the Dolphins edged the Ravens . Mason set an LIEFL Playoff record with 9 attempts and 595 yards on kick off's and four 100 yard TDS against Miami 52-46!

LONG ISLAND ELECTRIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! As is our coaching tradition at 11am, Two big games are on schedule for today in the Long Island EFL! Coach Paddy Brannigan's Bears (1-1) take on Coach Matt Zoo-York's Cleveland Browns (1-1)! The Bears are coming off of a 10-7 win over Cincinnati and the Browns are coming off of an impressive victory over the red hot Houston Texans 21-17 in Week Two. The Browns will have to stop Chicago's star return man, Willie Gault, but after the league leading Ron Dayne of the Texans produced an offensive firepower of 261 total yards, that task to stop Gault will be interesting, but Zoo York has his game face on! Running Back Jim Brown had 220 all-purpose yard's against Houston. He will have to come up big today for Cleveland. The other game of the day will be a beast! The mouth of the LIEFL, Johnny Freeport Chucker and his struggling Baltimore Ravens face alternate Coach Joe Bino in a great matchup between the Ravens (0-2) and the Lions (0-2). Chucker will play the Lions and Bino will play the Ravens! Chucker said, "Nothing will stop Detroit's Dexter Bussey, and I am tired of all these coaches thinking they are all that. Bino is just an average coach." Bino said, "I don't need to talk trash, nobody knows these teams better than me as the alternate coach. Jamaal Lewis is coming to play. Chucker forgets that Derrick Mason is a big game plastic star!" The high-octane Lions have to save the season today. That record doesn't truly represent Detroit. They lost an overtime stunner to Coach Viggs San Francisco 49ers in Week One, and last week they dropped a heartbreaker to the LIEFL Super Bowl XVI Champion and Coach Viggs 13-10 in overtime! 2021-22 NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE NFC EAST W L PF PA TDS HOME AWAY DIV CON AFC Dallas (5-3) 1 1 23 27 2 0-0 1-1 0-0 1-0 0-1 NY Giants (4-3) 1 1 45 45 6 1-0 0-1 0-1 0-1 1-0 Washington (7-3) 1 2 51 56 6 1-1 0-1 1-0 1-0 0-2 Philadelphia (4-3) 0 2 20 24 2 0-1 0-1 0-0 0-2 0-0 NFC NORTH W L PF PA TDS HOME AWAY DIV CON AFC Green Bay (9-1) 2 0 27 23 3 1-0 1-0 1-0 2-0 0-0 Chicago (4-3) 1 1 24 24 3 1-0 0-1 0-0 0-1 1-0 Detroit (6-3) 0 2 24 29 3 0-1 0-1 0-1 0-2 0-0 Minnesota (2-5) 0 2 21 34 3 0-0 0-2 0-0 0-1 0-1 NFC WEST W L PF PA TDS HOME AWAY DIV CON AFC SF 49ers’ (0-7) 2 0 23 20 3 0-0 2-0 0-0 2-0 0-0 LA Rams (6-2) 1 1 31 35 4 1-0 0-1 0-0 1-0 0-1 Arizona (3-4) 1 1 24 21 3 1-0 0-1 0-0 1-0 0-1 Seattle (5-4) 0 2 14 34 2 0-1 0-1 0-0 0-0 0-2 NFC SOUTH W L PF PA TDS HOME AWAY DIV CON AFC Atlanta (3-4) 2 0 30 24 3 1-0 1-0 1-0 2-0 0-0 Carolina (4-4) 2 1 49 45 7 2-0 0-1 1-0 1-0 1-1 Tampa Bay (3-4) 0 2 23 30 2 0-2 0-0 0-1 0-2 0-0 New Orleans (2-5) 0 2 27 35 3 0-1 0-1 0-1 0-2 0-0 https://www.webassistplus.com/rdr/?q=thanksgiving+day+tradition+in+the+nfl 2022 BROWNS AFC NORTH DIVISION.doc 2022 BEARS NFC NORTH DIVISION.doc 2022 DETROIT LIONS NFC NORTH DIVISION.doc 2020 RAVENS AFC NORTH DIVISION.doc
