  1. SHARPE LEADS PACKERS SILENCES CRITIQUES AS GREEN BAY HEADED TO SUPER BOWL XVI AFTER 32-28 WIN OVER WASHINGTON! Coquina Key, Florida. With Special Advisor to the late George M. Steinbrenner, Ray Negron hosting the feast, Coach Ed Viggs looked confident in his Green Bay Packers for today's matchup. Viggs is a brilliant electric football coach! His underdog Green Bay Packers battled a ferocious Washington Football Team in an unforgettable win for the Packers 32-28, with Sharpe winning NFC Championship Game MVP! Green Bay will face the AFC repeat Champion Miami Dolphins (8-2) in what is expected to be a terrific Long Island Electric Football Super Bowl with a nice money pool to the winner! It was a beautiful day outside everybody enjoyed the warmth of the sun the excitement didn't leave New York, we carried it down to Florida and visited Coach Billy O'C's high school in Tampa. The Packers (8-1) set the tone early in the NFC Championship Game as the fireworks began as soon as the game started with Sterling Sharpe blasting off downfield with a 100 yard touchdown on the opening kick off to give Green Bay the lead 8-0 after the two-point conversion pass from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Don Hutson! Packers Coach Viggs, shouted, "Who said that the Packers are not an offensive team?" That was the best run Sterling Sharpe has made all season long and he has gotten better as the season's gone on. Washington got off to a rough start on conversions, but kick returner Tony Green was on fire! He returned a 63 yard kickoff, untouched and then he ran in a 37 yard touchdown! Washington tried to go for two but WFT quarterback Joe Theisman was sacked in the backfield by Jim Taylor to make the score 8-6, with 7:11 remaining in the first quarter! On Green Bay's next kick return, Sterling Sharpe ran back a 44 yard return for a nice setup, but the Packers found themselves in trouble with this Washington defense who suddenly came alive as Dexter Manley had two tackles in a row! Packers running back Terdell Middleton could only muster up two yards on the first two runs, bringing up a third down situation with 1:51 remaining in the first quarter as the two minute warning came to sound in this NFC Championship Game between Washington and Green Bay. With a start like this one, the excitement and the feel of summer in the warmth, was a beautiful way to play a big game! Holy cow! The Packers are on fire! Coach Viggs and Aaron Rodgers threw an electrifying 75-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Sharpe (PHOTO ABOVE) who broke free into an open field for his second touchdown of the game into the end zone! And that one has everybody in the room going crazy with 1:17 remaining in the first quarter! WOW! This coach is brilliant. Coach Paddy Brannigan seemed a bit stunned as things got turned around very quickly in the Packers favor. They are the hungry team as the first quarter came to a close, and the commotion has begun with lots of noise, and music! After the Packers went for the two-point conversion, Sterling Sharpe scored again as Green Bay advanced their lead to 16-6 with 14:24 left in the half! It is very unusual for Washington to be beaten like this. There is something definitely in the Kool-Aid with these Packers today. They have performed outstanding, matching Washington who have played great in the playoffs, beating Dallas 45-37, and then a tough Seattle Seahawks team 24-22! Coach Vigg's strategy, whatever that may be is working for his Packers. In the madness of it all the question remains, why did he pick Coach Brannigan to play with this team instead of the alternate coach Bino, who was ready? It was a coach's decision. On a beautiful kick return, Tony Green playing his heart out, exploded with a 70-yard return. On first down Tony Green broke through the line for a 25 yard gain, taking the football to the five yard line, but Green Bay's defense stopped him on second down pushing him back 10 yards to the 15 yard line. And, on a big third down play Washington's Art Monk could not get the first down. He came up just short on a tough play, brining the ball to the three yard line for a 20-yard gain, which put Washington in a fourth down situation with three yards to go for a touchdown. Green Bay made a statement on fourth down stopping fullback John Riggins and the Washington at the five yard line. Holy cow! Nose tackle Willie Davis came up huge! Now the Packers have a chance to blow it wide open, with 4:49 remaining in the half. With two first down runs in a row of 12, and 10 yards by Terdell Middleton for the Green Bay Packers Middleton then ran the ball to the Packers own 27-yard line as the two minute warning sounded off. This has turned into quite the game as the Washington defense rejects and denies Middleton and Taylor after the first down that Middleton ran. There's 58 seconds left to go in the half and Washington called their final time out of the half, but was second down and Green Bay began to wear this Washington team down. These two teams may be going into the locker room after this play with no timeouts left and no chance to score to close the half. On the very next play Middleton exploded on a 25 yard, taking the ball to the Washington 38-yard line as the first half came to a close, and what a first half for the Packers and Coach Viggs! Commissioner William O'Connell said, that was an amazing first half of football and not what I expected. I thought it would be a different game. I thought Washington would set the tone of the game, but all season long people have doubted the Packers and I think it's about time we give them a fair shake because they really are a good team. Sterling Sharpe is on fire and when you have guys playing like that, that means they are rising to the occasion. Obviously in the big game Viggs plays well under pressure, and Brannigan has done a great job keeping it close. Washington is not dead here. They are just getting going. Tony Green will bust out, and I am just not sure if the Packers will be denied today. They are playing that well! The Packers have been able to keep Tony Green in check but he does have over 60 yards on the ground rushing in the first half. The second half should be even more exciting than the first with the score Green Bay 16-Washington 6. To begin the third quarter, Washington tailback Tony Green returned the kick 43 yards. Washington kept moving the ball forward with a 5-yard run, then the Green Bay defense stopped them on second down. On third down, Green caught a 9-yard first down pass from quarterback Joe Theismann, and then Washington started up the running game again with an 11-yard gain, finally bringing the ball to the 19-yard line of the Green Bay Packers with 5:36 remaining in the third quarter. On first down Tony Green bullied his way in for the 19 yard score on great blocking by "The Diesel" John Riggins and Washington was determined! Washington converted the two points as Riggins caught a two-yard pass for the two-point conversion to make the score 16-14 with Green Bay in the lead at 3:48 and the third quarter! It has been a very intense battle defensively. Green Bay's Sterling Sharpe was having a day, returning a gorgeous 53-yarder. Sharpe so far has been the star of the day as the two-minute warning sounded, bringing the third half to a near close. Both coaches have really killed the clock. On the next play, Middleton came up to huge again with a 30-yard first down, bringing the ball to the Washington 18-yard line. These Packers have no quit in them. They are playing like men, with a smash mouth running attack, as the third quarter ended. We are on to our final quarter of football! It's like an illusion watching Green Bay work for their coach as he works for them. To begin the fourth quarter with the score close, 16-14, Green Bay, on first down Ark Monk made his third defensive tackle in the backfield to pull down Middleton for a 7-yard loss, with second down coming up to begin the fourth quarter. Wow! On a gutsy play, Aaron Rodgers-coach Viggs hit Middleton right up the middle for a 20-yard touchdown catch, and Green Bay advances their lead 22-14, as they go for the extra points by conversion. The winner of this game plays Miami tomorrow in the Super Bowl! Coach Viggs forgot to set a quarterback and Green Bay receives a 10-yard penalty as he makes his first mental mistake. It is Sterling Sharpe who came up big again for the two-point conversion to bring the score to 24-14, Green Bay in the lead, with 9:33 left to go in the game! The Packers are on fire and taking it to Washington! The Packers are just out-playing Washington, who is an outstanding football team, but it's so weird how they play a little different for a different coach and Coach Brannigan is an excellent coach, but he isn't Viggs. Oh my goodness! Tony Green has turned this into a game when on the ensuing kick return he had an electrifying return blazing down the left sideline 100 yards, to make this score 24-20, with 8:20 left in the game! Wow! What a loud roar let out by the coaches! What an absolutely spectacular game as Art Monk caught the two yard two-point conversion to make the score 24-22, with Washington trailing with just 6:34 remaining in the game! As time wound down, on first down, running back Terdell Middleton ran for a 15-yard first down to the Washington 48-yard line, after being stopped by the Washington defense on first down. The final two minute warning sounded off in the 4th quarter. What a tremendous game it has been. Green Bay forced Washington to use their last timeouts as coach Brannigan regroups. He has made this quite a game and stepped in to play with a great team! There is no giving up in this Washington football team. This season they have had an outstanding year but so have the Packers. And they received a lot of criticism this Green Bay team. On first down Green Bay was pushed back 6 yards as Washington called a timeout with 1:47 remaining in the game. The next play was explosive! You'll never believe it! Coach Viggs used Brannigan's timeout against him to set up Fullback Jim Taylor who broke free at the 48-yard line taking a pass from Aaron Rodgers 48 yards downfield into the end zone for the touchdown! This place is going crazy! Playoff football baby! Green Bay 30-Washington 22! The Packers have lit up the scoreboard today on a fantastic team and Washington is forced to call their last time out! With 1:17 left on the clock, coach Viggs predicted that his team would be going to the Super Bowl and for the third time in 49 years they will meet the Miami Dolphins as Green Bay scored on the two-point conversion to make the score 32-22, with 51 seconds left to go in the game as Jim Taylor caught the football in The end zone on a rocket from Aaron Rodgers! OMG! In class fashion on the very last play of the game, Washington's Tony Green ran his second 100 yard touchdown of the game back as time ran out and Washington made the score 32-26, in an absolutely spectacular game! Green Bay is going to the Super Bowl XVI, to play Miami and the excitement here is incredible! That was one of the best NFC Championship Games in the Long Island Electric Football League's history! Coach Viggs shook hands with Paddy Brannigan, and raised his fist in the air. We'd take pictures, but many of the guys are in law and they don't want their pictures taken. hey are all fantastic Tony Green finishes the game with 376 yards on kick returns, with two touchdowns. He had incredible runs of 63, 70, 43, 100, and 100! Green also had nine carries for 111 yards rushing with a 37, and 19 yard touchdown runs totaling 496 all-purpose yards, including a 9 yard reception for a first down when Washington needed it most. What an effort by Green! This Washington Football team (7-3), will be back strong next season! Sterling Sharpe was named the NFC Championship Game MVP for his explosive 100 yard kick return to open the game! He put his name on the map now in the league as the Packers stunned Washington! Sharpe had 319 all-purpose yards in the game with four kick returns for 233 yards and a 100 yard touchdown, and an amazing 75 yard reception for a touchdown to give Green Bay all the offense they needed! to win this game! After the game, Coach Viggs said, "It's always hard to play against your own team, but I just felt like this was the Packers year, and people have been counting us out all year, but let me tell you something, defense does win football games. Washington's offense is mighty, but the coaches in the league thought we had no offense. We scored 32 points today against a ferocious, fantastic football team, and we really look forward to playing Billy OC's Dolphins tomorrow because they're in for the Battle of their life! I have not forgotten the losses this team has suffered to Miami in the Super Bowl over the year's. BOC's mom lost the first ever Long Island Super Bowl! My loss to his Dolphins I didn't think about until today because I want a different rematch! In that 1977 game, Miami beat Green Bay 28-3! Not this time! We won't be silenced!" Long Island Electric Football League will play Super Bowl XVI tonight at 7pm between Coach Billy O'C's (22-10) AFC Champion Miami Dolphins (8-2) and Coach Ed Viggs (23-11) NFC Champion Green Bay Packers (8-1)! What a monster matchup!
  2. Super Bowl will be Played December 23 2020. We are in the process of writing the story for Green Bay's unreal victory over Washington! What a Super Bowl this is going to be! Green Bay 32 Washington 28
  3. ARTICLE WRITTEN BY LIEFL MEMBER LEVI VICK. December 20, 2020. We made it to Coquina Key, St. Petersburg, Florida! Relaxation for a few days and back to New York to celebrate the holidays, and then back here again for the month of January. There is much to celebrate and think about in the changes we have all endured in this country this year. Our way of life has been interrupted, many people have died due to COVID-19, the world has seen major catastrophes, and the civil unrest has altered the country. Electric football brings us together to share a passion and purpose, united in brotherhood. Unfortunately, Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Andrew Slawson, our LIEFL analyst, won't be making the trip down, but he did predict that Washington will beat Green Bay 28-21! He said, "Washington is the better team, even defensively. The NFC East in this league is as good as the North, and I don't think they can stop the four-punch offensive threat of Washington. Tony Green beat up the Cowboys with 146 yards rushing with two touchdowns, and he had 493 yards on special teams with two 100 yard kick returns for touchdowns. Green Bay will have trouble on special teams stopping Green. Green also had 106 yards rushing against a really touch Seattle defense with 269 all-purpose yards in the game with a 73 yard touchdown run!" Because of all of the delays, we still have the NFC Championship Game which will be played this evening, and then our SUPER BOWL XVI between the Miami Dolphins (7-2) and the winner of this game, which will be played tomorrow afternoon at 5pm! We transported the field, stadium, and the three teams left down to Florida in an uneventful drive, with beautiful weather! This Washington Football Team or WFT, in the Long Island Electric Football League has surprised many people this year. But then again, with the coach that they have he seems to get the best out of every team he coaches except for San Francisco. It has been a dynamic year for Coach Viggs. He still has two teams alive in the playoffs in the Green Bay Packers (7-1), who meets his other team, the Washington Football Team (7-2). Since the 1977-78 LIEFL season, the two have never met in the playoffs, yet both have been to the Super Bowl. Washington's Tony Green and "The Diesel" John Riggins, are a perfect lethal combination to play against Green Bay because Riggins does the bull work when called upon, and Green is the speedy power back who scores points, takes the kick returns, and can run away with a game fast. Washington is a four punch team, with running, receiving, bull running, and defense. Tony Green was LIEFL Player of the Week in Week #4, he exploded in the Wild Card Game against Dallas with 639 yards with four touchdowns, and he had 269 yards with a 73-yard touchdown run in Washington's win over the very tough Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Championship Game to get here. But WTF also has a passing game when they need it in Art Monk and Charlie Taylor. This is a well-rounded professional football team and today at Lambeau Field, Coach Viggs, believe it or not has selected Paddy Branigan to play with his Washington Football team. Primary Recency? Maybe the theory playing into this is that the fresh win Viggs had over Seattle and Brannigan, is a way to develop a game plan against his own team. Also why is Viggs picking the Packers? Maybe because the league feels they aren't as good as their record? Viggs loves proving people wrong, but this is a money round as well. Off the record, Viggs simply says that after the Packers win today, they would be a better suited matchup for Miami's lethal offense, but as you read yesterday the Dolphins defense is alive and well, and anyone who has to face that Miami front line is in for a game. Miami beat the #5 Tennessee Titans 42-20, #1 Baltimore Ravens 52-46, and #3 Los Angeles Chargers, 32-27! Washington has beaten #4 Dallas 45-37, #7 Seattle 24-22, who beat Miami this season, and this game against #1 Green Bay will be a war! Green Bay beat #5 Detroit 31-26, and Detroit is no pushover. The Packers will brawl with anybody and having only allowed 52 points during the regular season, a lot of questions arose as to whether or not there are true contender, but today they're going to get a chance to prove that since we still have doubters. One of those doubters is Johnny Freeport Chucker who lost to Green Bay in the SNOW BOWL game 31-26 against Chucker's Lions. Chucker said, "Best be understanding that Viggs feared the heck out of my Lions. Well I really liked the snow game for the good of the league. I am not happy that the snow held my best running back at Bay and I never thought that we would lose to Green Bay twice, but playing Washington I really don't think Green Bay will win the game and I think it's a mistake for Coach Viggs to miss out on a chance to play in the Super Bowl because I think Washington is the better team because not only do they have an outstanding defense, but this Washington team can score points, and they will dominate the Packers. Just like the real Diesel, Riggins in this league seems to get the job done, and O'C's Dolphins are better than the original Dolphins."
  4. MIAMI DOLPHINS (7-2) LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (8-1) December 18, 2020. Los Angeles, California. After being caught in the massive snow storm that hit Long Island yesterday, we made a slight change in the schedule. This AFC Championship Game between the AFC East Champion, and defending AFC Champion Miami Dolphins (7-2) and the AFC West Champion Los Angeles Chargers (8-1), is everything great electric football should be! When it comes to championship games, especially to get to the Super Bowl, both of these teams and coaches know what they have to do to win this game. Between Miami Coach Billy O'C and Los Angeles Coach Ed Viggs, they have a combine win record of 782 wins! Watching high-impact, action-packed, fast-paced football makes the game exciting, so this should be nothing less than an electrifying game with two high-powered offensive teams. And when it comes to defense the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Chargers are two mean electric football teams in this league. Miami running back Mercury Morris is coming off of a 323 yard record setting playoff game performance against the number one seeded Baltimore Ravens. Morris had seven touchdowns in that game, to set a new Long Island Electric Football League AFC Divisional Championship Game record! He tied OJ Simpson's LIEFL-Super Bowl XIII record of seven touchdowns in a postseason playoff game! Today the Dolphins face a mighty opponent, and last year's AFC Offensive Player of the year and one of the best running backs in the game in LaDainian Tomlinson. Coach BOC said, "My team is here because we love to compete and we will never quit against the Chargers. I've learned one thing about electric football. Never be overconfident because you never know what your opponent is capable of and there are some amazing coaches around the country and to think that the ego allows us to believe that we're the best is a falsehood. The one thing about Coach Viggs is he plays a very smart football game so we have to outsmart him and his team and somehow find a way to slow up Tomlinson." Miami didn't get here by accident. They opened up with a road victory in New England beating the Patriots 17-10, then they beat Buffalo 17-14, and Jacksonville 16-10 in overtime. The game that startled coach BOC was when Seattle beat the Dolphins at home 14-10 in week four, but now we know those Seahawks are a rising brutal team with an amazing coach and team. The Dolphins lost the following week to another playoff contender in the Jets 20-14 in overtime, and then they beat New England again 17-10, ending the season by beating Buffalo 14-10. The whooping they put on a very good Tennessee Titans team was impressive in the AFC Wild Card Game. That game certainly wasn't as bad as the record setting game against the Ravens that the Dolphins won, 52-46. In the past three seasons the Dolphins record is (15-11). This season Mercury Morris rushed 51 times for 516 yards with nine touchdowns, and he also had 95 receiving yards during the season with two touchdowns. The Chargers have to contain Morris the same way the Dolphins have to contain Tomlinson in order to stay in the game. It would be a mistake to ignore who the Los Angeles Chargers are. They are a coaches dream because they seem to have a mind of their own. Simply put, they make big plays when they need to. The Chargers defense and that powerful line that they have consisting of All-Pro's Ernie Ladd, Earl Faison, Russ Washington, and tackle Booker Brown, are intimidating. The battle on the front line will be very interesting because Miami's tackles, AJ Duhe and Manny Fernandez are two very tough customers. This Chargers team is one tough team. They have won 17 games in the last three seasons, losing only four. LaDainian Tomlinson has put up some big numbers in the past two seasons. He has 3419 total yards with 29 touchdowns. He's an offensive machine that Miami and their defensive line needs to figure out very quick. Coach Viggs said, "With the Dolphins we know what we're up against and this should be an awesome game. I always spend a good 45 minutes before a game in a synchronized way focusing without any distractions at all. It'll be very hard for the Miami to beat this team today, because we are angry. Angry and sore about our loss to Buffalo 49-48 in the AFCDCG. Miami seems like the best team to take it out on, but being in the AFC CG two season in a row says something about them and of course, BOC's great coaching. The most important thing for my team is to get into a groove fast and take control of the game." The Chargers have won seven straight football games the last time that they lost was July 31st, the first game of the season when they were upset by the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime 20-14. The Chargers were a little bit rusty and Tomlinson only had 70 yards rushing in that game, with 79 yards on kick returns. But, the following week LT exploded for 197 yards with three touchdowns against the Chiefs who LA beat 20-14 and overtime, and then he had 113 yards with two touchdowns against the hardcore two time NFC CG finalist Carolina Panthers who the Chargers beat 21-14 in week three. In week four they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa 20-14, in overtime. The Chargers find ways to win. They played a great game against Buffalo in week five, winning the game 21-17! And week six, Tomlinson rush for a 103 yards, with two touchdowns against the Raiders who they beat in Las Vegas, 14-10! The final week of the season they beat the Chiefs again for the second time, on the road 14-13! This team is primed for another LIEFL Super Bowl. DOLPHINS DEFEND AFC TITLE AS DUPER'S 353 YARDS 3 TD'S DROWN CHARGERS IN STUNNING UPSET 32-27! The Dolphins are head back to the Super Bowl for the 11th time in the LIEFL, this time with Billy O'C's best Dolphins after upsetting the Chargers 32-27 in the AFC Championship Game! The AFC championship game kickoff had great excitement in the air as running back LaDanian Tomlinson ran the ball back 60 yards to open the game for the Chargers. On first down he ran for 11 yards and a first down to the Miami 29-yard line. On their second run from scrimmage, Tomlinson ran the ball in 29 yards into the end zone to give the Chargers the lead 8-0 after Tomlinson caught the two yard two-point conversion from Los Angeles quarterback Philip Rivers at 9:47! What a way to open the game! Dolphins 0 Chargers 8 at 9:47 The Dolphins came right back but that Chargers defense made a statement that their wouldn't be too much running in the first quarter, and on first down Mercury Morris did run for 18 yards, but Morris was stopped on the next two plays until third down when quarterback Dan Marino connected with Super Mark Duper for a 30-yard touchdown to make the score, 8-6 as the two minute warning sounded off nearing the end of the first quarter. Miami tied the game 8-8 on Duper's two-point conversion play! Just like that we have a game! Dolphins 8 Chargers 8 at 9:47 End of First Quarter Second quarter action: On the very first play to start the second quarter Tomlinson and the Chargers fired right back at Miami, exploding for a 32 yard run to the Miami 22-yard line as the great defensive tackle AJ Duhe made the tackle against the relentless Los Angeles front line. The war and the trenches was on! The incredible fight between these two teams brought on electric football spirit like never before as the 2020 LIEFL season winds down! The Dolphins defense is slick, finding a way to stop Tomlinson on two straight runs with Duhe coming up big again, but then on third down Phillips Rivers connected with a wide open LaDanian Tomlinson for a 22-yard touchdown and after the two-point conversion Los Angeles ran the lead up to 16-8 on a catch in the end zone by Chuck Muncie to make the score 16-8, with 8:17 remaining in the half. Dolphins 8 Chargers 16 at 8:17 The league has constantly criticized Boc's passing game, but BOC was dead on the money with his Dolphins today after two failed runs by Mercury Morris against the Chargers hardcore defense. On the next play receiver Mark Duper broke free from coverage as Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino connected with Duper for a 62-yard touchdown absolutely electrifying touchdown play! After the two-point conversion caught by Larry Csonka, the score was tied at 16-16, with 1:50 remaining in the half! Dolphins 16 Chargers 16 at 1:50 After the Chargers called both of their timeouts, they had to settle for a field goal to make the score 19-16, and Miami called the time out with one second remaining in the half. Duper ran the ball back 47 yards, and both teams have a lot to think about at the half! Dolphins 16 Chargers 19 End of First Half For every action there has been a reaction to Miami's offense by the Chargers and the same from the elite Miami defense who only let up 88 points this season. The Los Angeles defense has been relentless as they hold Mercury Morris at Bay with only 18 yards rushing in the first half of football. To start the second half Chargers All-Pro lineman Earl Faison dropped Morris hard for a two-yard loss. On an electrifying run Mercury Morris blazed around the left side of scrimmage and into the end zone for a 49-yard touchdown to give Miami the lead 24-19 after the two-point conversion! Dolphins 24 Chargers 19 at 8:17 This game has been exactly as expected, a clock killer. The Chargers decided to give the ball back to Tomlinson on the kick returns and he returned the kick 38 yards. On first down, it was Miami's AJ Duhe again who came up with a spectacular tackle, his third of the game, to bring up a second down at the Chargers 43-yard line with 6 yards to go for the first down at 5:27 remaining in the third quarter! The next play for the Chargers put s lot of pressure on the offense. On a very intense third down play Phillips Rivers was a second from being sacked when he launched a pass to Tomlinson for the first down at the 49-yard line of Miami with the two minute warning sounding off! That was a great play under extreme pressure by Coach Viggs and the Chargers. Really, what a professional play! On the next run for Los Angeles Tomlinson exploded for a six yard pickup to the Miami 42 yard line as the third quarter came to an close! Dolphins 24 Chargers 19 End of third quarter Fourth quarter action On first down Tomlinson was stuffed by defensive tackle AJ Duhe for the fourth time in the game for a nine yard loss delivered to Tomlinson and the Chargers offense! Duhe and Fernandez are so tough. Wow! The Dolphins defense is relentless! Csonka came up huge, making another big hit on Tomlinson at the 28-yard line, still 8 yards short of a first down, with third down coming up as the intensity grows with 11:23 remaining in the game. The next play is a key play for the Chargers. On an absolutely spectacular play, one of the toughest plays to make that we've seen this year, Coach Viggs threw a dart to Chuck Muncie for the 28-yard touchdown in the end zone (See Photo from the point the ball was thrown)! That was an absolutely amazing play! The play of the game! The Chargers and Coach Viggs shows off his professional passing skills under a great pressure with Los Angeles in the lead 25-24 at 8:58! Los Angeles is going to go for two points and they make it on a catch from Lance Alsworth from Phillips Rivers, making the score 27-24, LA in the lead! Dolphins 24 Chargers 27 at 7:01 What showmanship in this game! On the next set of downs, Dolphins running back Mercury Morris followed Brian Cox around the right side after nearly being tackled at the 50-yard line and Morris turned it into a 25-yard run with Chargers Louie Kelcher saving the day on a huge hit! It's absolutely incredible as the game gets brought to life in the magic of the coaches who play electric football! Wow! This may not be the Super bowl but with 3:01 left to go in the game in this nail biter, it has been sensational to watch and the sportsmanship and showmanship of these two incredible coaches. Miami went on the attack! On first down the Chargers defense turned to Morris around for a loss of nine yards as the two minute warning sounded at 1:52! For Miami, they need to kill the clock and drown the Chargers by leaving them with no timeouts, and forcing them to call timeout. That would be the best strategy for BOC. For Coach Viggs, he's in a position where he still has two timeouts left, but he doesn't want to be forced to have to score a touchdown to win the game with such little time left against a great Miami defense. With the fast setups, it's hard to in very stressful situations on the field, and after a failed run on second down by Morris picked up two yards on third down. The Dolphins called a timeout with one remaining at 1:26 with the score 27-24, Chargers with the lead! The intensity is incredible! If Miami gets a first down, it's going to force the Chargers to take a time out, and they will have no timeouts remaining. On the next play, the Dolphins got more than a first down as Marino connected with Duper, who caught his third touchdown of the game to give Miami the lead 30-27, with 1:07 remaining in the game! What a brilliant play by BOC! Each team had one time out left as the Dolphins went for the two-point conversion with Larry Csonka adding two points on the conversion from Marino to give MIami the lead 32-27, with 58 seconds remaining in the game! The chargers call their last time out. Miami still has one time out remaining. Oh wow! On the kick return Tomlinson ended the Chargers season with a 32 yard runback as the Miami Dolphins become AFC Champions for the second straight year, and for the eleventh time, they head to the Long Island Electric Football League Super Bowl XVI, to play the NFC winner between the Green Bay Packers (7-1) or the Washington Football Team (7-2)! Dolphins 32 Chargers 27 FINAL SCORE The Miami Dolphins (8-2), won their eighth game of the season, earning every single yard against one of the best teams in the league and it is going crazy here! The big number for the day is Miami's defense holding a great running back in LaDanian Tomlinson to just 104 yards rushing with two touchdowns! Coach Billy OC said, "I got to take my hat off to Coach Viggs, especially after that Muncie catch from 28 yards away, but we never quit. We're going to remain in the game and play the full 60 minutes with whoever we play, and we did that here when Mark Duper scored that final touchdown! This is my best Dolphins team ever because they play as a team!" Miami had 19 defensive tackles in the game! Coach Viggs said, "That was an incredible football game and I really thought we were going to win it. I'm really disappointed for the Chargers because there are Superstar team the Dolphins just got the better of us in the last minute of the game and I hope they win the Super Bowl because they're definitely a great football team and for Coach Billy OC to turn them into a winner again after 18 losses, O'C made some great draft picks three years ago, and the one who beat us today is Mark Duper! It just goes to show you how important it is to know how to build a football team, and when O'C got Duper, Miami became a winner again. Here he is today, he beat us with three touchdowns!" The AFC Championship Game MVP Award was announced to Mark Duper, Miami Dolphins wide receiver who touched the ball nine times for a stunning 353 yards with three touchdowns, one of them a 62-yard pass play from Dan Marino! The Miami Dolphins heads to Super Bowl XVI, as they wait for the NFC Championship later today! 6. RIGGINS BRINGS WASHINGTON TO NFCCG IN FEROCIOUS SPECTACULAR BATTLE WITH RISING SEAHAWKS 24-22! It was Ed Viggs Washington Football Team's teamwork which gave them the edge over the best Seattle Seahawk team Coach Brannigan has ever put on the field, in Washington's 24-22, NFC Divisional Championship Game victory, which put the WTF in a colossal battle for the NFC Championship against Green Bay Packers (7-1)! The last time the Washington made it to an NFC Championship Game was back in 1995 in the Long Island Electric Football League, when thewy were called the Washington Redskins, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, 20-17! The feel to this powerful Washington team after beating down a tough Seattle Seahawks Team 24-22, in an epic battle in this Tournament of Champions is one of teamwork, strength, and unity. The story of the day was defense for two high-octane offenses! They are ferocious! There is always that one person who gets everyone to rise to a higher level of competition, and we get envious of the winner, the champion, the impressive competitor. For our league, Coach Eddie Viggs is that guy. Viggs has the lethal combination of being an excellent athlete and extremely successful businessman. Leading up to this game, he has battled hard to make this Washington team the #2 All-Time ranked EFL team in terms of wins with 105! This Washington Football Team WFT, in the Long Island Electric Football League has won six division titles, two NFC Championships, and one LIEFL Super Bowl! Viggs surprised many people this year with this dynamic and ferocious Washington team. But then again, with the coach that they have he seems to get the best out of every team he coaches with the exception of San Francisco, which he won't talk about. He could have had all four of his teams in the playoffs. It's been a dynamic year for Coach Viggs, who still has three teams alive in the playoffs in the Los Angeles Chargers (8-1), the Green Bay Packers (7-1), and this team, the Washington Football Team at (6-2). This is a high-impact team in every way. As we reflect back to 1984 when Washington rose to the occasion to defeat the then Almighty Miami Dolphins in LIEFL-Super Bowl VII, 34-31 in overtime, in that game "The Diesel" John Riggins barreled over Miami with 97 yards with three touchdowns, earning Super Bowl MVP! This game is going to be a bit different as this defense is facing one of the best backs in the LIEFL, Seattle's Marshawn Lynch. Lynch has been a beast this season and the Seattle Seahawks have backed down to no one. The Hawks had two key victories on the road that opened eyes before they beat the Rams on their home turf, upsetting the two-time defending LIEFL-Super Bowl Champions in the NFC Wild Card Game. Seattle scored 52 points against the Los Angeles Rams, and was enough to open many eyes around the league, not to mention Patty Brannigan beating Billy OC, BOC, who has won more than 400 games. During their regular season game with Washington, Seattle lost to Washington, 13-7! Lynch and Washington's Tony Green are two amazing players with a lofty resume. Green ranked 19th overall in LIEF-All-Purpose yards with 62 carries for 1192 yards, with seven touchdowns and Lynch was #11 in the LIEFL with 49 carries 1332 yards, with eleven touchdowns! They both appear unstoppable and it's going to take a large day for the Redskins to stop Lynch, but Lynch faces a prolific battle hardened Washington defense led by Dexter Manley, who had four tackles in the NFC Wild Card Game that Washington beat Dallas in 45-37! The winner of this game will possibly face the same challenge that the Detroit Lions did last week when they lost to Green Bay at Lambeau Field in the snow. Coach Viggs has received approval to play in the snow if Seattle beats his Washington Football Team, but if they do not, the game will not be played in the snow and Viggs will have to select an alternate coach because the Packers and Washington are his teams. There is no controversy this time around as the coaches were fine with the snow, and really what matters is the two coaches playing in the big game. Green Bay has the option to play in the snow but the key is if Washington makes it, Green Bay is going to have a hard time stopping John Riggins if Viggs elects the snow game PLAYING A GAME AGAINST BOTH OF HIS TEAMS. Riggins is the perfect back to run through the snow with his 40 year-old TTC player base bottom. December 16, 2020, Washington DC. On the opening kickoff Washington star running back, Tony Green ran the ball back 65 yards but on first and second down Seattle showed Washington's power game on defense, stopping Green in his tracks. On third down receiver Art Monk caught a 10-yard pass from quarterback Joe Theismann, but it wasn't enough for the first down. WFT were still 10 yards short of a first down, and they decided to put the ball in the hands of "The Diesel" John Riggins who was stopped at the line of scrimmage on fourth down by a very tough Seattle Seahawk defense! That is rare! Washington turned the ball over at the Seattle 42 yard line to the Seahawks, and on first down Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch was stopped by WFT linebacker Chris Hanburger at the line of scrimmage on first down. As expected, we knew this would be a tough matchup with 6:12 remaining in the first quarter. We wonder if coach Viggs will regret not kicking a field goal on Washington's last possession. On second down Lynch ran for 13 yards to pick up the first down. The Washington defense held the line steady and on the next two plays Lynch was stopped for a 3-yard loss as the two minute warning sounded off for the first quarter. On third down Washington gave a demonstration of how tough that defense really is as they stopped the Seahawks with no one to pass to as Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw the ball away. Seattle settled for a 48-yard field goal to make the score 3-0, with 1:05 left in the first quarter! As the first quarter came to a close Green returned the ball 37 yards for Washington on the kickoff and on first down he stormed ahead for an 18-yard first down to begin the second quarter! Seahawks 3 Washington 0 at 1:05 Second quarter action: So far in the game, it has been a time-winder with strong, tight, in an evenly matched defensive game. The Seahawks stopped Washington on the next two runs for a loss of 13 yards, bringing up a third down play for Washington who were forced to pass with 10:33 remaining in the half! Coach Viggs had his football team eating up the clock and keeping this a close game. On the next play on a beautiful third down pass from Theismann to Art Monk, Monk took it 53 yards to the 4-yard line of the Seahawks, but that Seattle defense answered by stopping Tony Green on the first two runs, forcing a third down pass play yet again, with 6:30 left to go in the half! Riggins caught a third down pass from two yards away, jut short of the end zone and on fourth down the Riggins came up huge with a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Washington Football Team the lead 6-0! Washington scored on the two-point conversion as Joe Theismann ran a quarterback sneak into the end zone for the two points to give the Washington football team the lead 8-3! What play calling by coach Viggs! Seahawks 3 Washington 8 at 1:47 Marshawn Lynch ran the ball back 44 yards and then on first down the Washington defense stopped the Seahawks again, as the half came to a close with Seattle kicking a 54-yard field goal to end the half! Seahawks 6 Washington 8 End of first half What an intense battle! Either one of these teams will play well against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. It is very surprising that Washington has been able to stop Lynch who has been nothing less than spectacular this season in the rushing department. Lynch carried the ball 32 times for 510 yards, with eight rushing touchdowns as the #3 rusher in the NFC, and the 51 points that they scored against the Los Angeles Rams showed that their offense can perform with the best of them! But this Washington football team is no pushover as we begin the third quarter! Third quarter action Lynch return the ball 42 yards to begin the third quarter and on first down Lynch exploded for a 34-yard run to the Washington 24-yard line. Washington's defense exploded right back with Dave Butts making two consecutive tackles, pushing the Seahawks back to the 39-yard line for a loss of 14 yards in an epic battle! It's been defense defense defense! The Washington defense and Coach Viggs let up on this one as Lynch snuck around the left side of the field for a gorgeous 25-yard touchdown run into the end zone! The Seahawks scored two points on the conversion to take the lead, 14-8! Coach Paddy Brannigan put his fist in the air, watching his Seahawks play a great game against Washington and battling inch by inch for the goal line! Seahawks 14 Washington 8 at 7:32 The battle heated up after Tony Green returned the football 27-yards. But on the next play Green exploded 73 yards on a blazing run into the end zone as the Seattle defense were defenseless watching Green unleash that speed with greed! Washington tied the game at 14-14, with 4:31 remaining in the third quarter! What an amazing play by coach Viggs, and he shows no emotion! After the two-point conversion on the next play from Theismann to Monk who took it into the end zone, Washington retook the lead 16-14, with 2:49 remaining in the third quarter! Oh Baby! Seahawks 14 Washington 16 at 2:49 As the clock wound down to close in on the end of the third quarter, Lynch ran the ball back 45 yards and on the last play of the third quarter running the ball five yards, up the middle as the third quarter came to a close! Fourth quarter action: Washington is in for a run for their money. On the next play Lynch exploded around the left side of an open field to take it into the end zone from 43 yards for the touchdown and Seattle gains the advantage 20-16 with 13:13 remaining in the game! What a run by Lynch as he turned up his" Beast-Mode"! The Seahawks are going to go for the two point conversion. And on the two point conversion, Shawn Alexander number gave Seattle the seven point advantage 22-16, with 10:58 remaining in the game! Seahawks 22 Washington 16 at 10:58 This game has been one of the toughest games we've seen played by both of these coaches who have gone back and forth. There has been no dominance in the game, just pure skill and strategy. On the kick return Washington's Tony Green returned the ball 34 yards, and then had two runs of 11 and 7 yards, but he was stopped on second down. Coach Viggs made the decision at that moment to put the ball in the hands of fullback John Riggins! The Deisel ran a 15-yd first down to the Seahawks 34-yard line, coming through again in the big spot as we came to the two minute warning. On the next play Riggins gained two yards, bringing the ball to the Seattle 31-yard line as the stress builds for both coaches. This was it, the end of the line, with the pressure mounting. We're down to the final two minutes of the game and it has been a tremendous fight to advance to the NFC Championship Game to play the Green Bay Packers (7-1). At this point Viggs killed the clock, forcing Seattle to corner themselves in making Seattle take one of their two remaining time outs. That is great coaching by Viggs! It takes a very good coach to manage this situation, and don't forget Seattle still has the lead, but the pressure was building trying to prevent Washington from scoring, but the Washington offense with the Diesel had the momentum. On the next play, Riggins was turned around by his own man at the 42-yard line with third down coming up. The Seahawks called a timeout with 1:30 left on the clock, with one last time out remaining. Washington still had their two-time outs remaining. On third down Washington quarterback Joe Theismann connected with Art Monk again, for an 18-yard first down to the Seahawks 16-yard line and Seattle was forced to call their last time out with 1:12 left to go in the game. The intensity in this game felt like no other! And Washington worked the clock down so that if they scored it would leave Seattle with no timeouts or time left to run a kick return! Spectacular coaching by Viggs. This guy is serious business and you have to bring your "A" game every game to him! His goal? Keep the ball out of Lynch's hands. Washington still had two timeouts remaining at the 16-yard line at 1:12 left in the game, and they are behind. Let's see with Coach Viggs comes up with. His hail to the Redskins tribute today was outstanding as he did his dance and circle to the old Washington Redskins fight song! Washington called on Riggins again. this time the Diesel BARRELED into the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown to tie the game at 22-22, with a minute remaining on the clock, with the clock running, and no timeouts left for Seattle. Washington lets the clock run out of time for the helpless Seattle Seahawks (5-4), as WTF wins an incredible game over the Seattle Seahawks with the two-point conversion to Riggins to make the score 24-22! In a thriller, Washington wins this NFC Divisional Championship Game! What an amazing football game as John Riggins comes up huge in the big spot with two touchdowns in the game and Washington will head to Green Bay in a colossal matchup for the NFC Championship Game title! 7. CHARGERS WIN FIERCE BATTLE WITH COLTS 30-25 TO ADVANCE TO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP! It was once again LaDanian Tomlinson who edged the Indianapolis Colts defense with his big play day as the Chargers beat the Indianapolis Colts 30-25 in an epic AFC battle! It's on to play the Dolphins for a shot at their second AFC title! December 14, 2020. Indianapolis Indiana. The defending 2019 defending AFC Champion Miami Dolphins (7-2) and the 2018 AFC Champion Los Angeles Chargers (8-1) will clash in the AFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl XVI in Tampa this weekend! Coach Eddie Viggs Chargers rose to the occasion to beat the #2 LIEFL defense, the Indianapolis Colts 30-25, in a tight game won by the Chargers in the last 1:30 of the game! Colts coach Billy O'C, BOC, took the loss hard! Remember there is money on the line, and he failed to qualify this team for the money round! Viggs is still alive! He still has Washington, Green Bay, and Los Angeles, still alive, and a lot of nay-sayers who he's beaten! Viggs does better under pressure! In such an exciting atmosphere, this Long Island Electric Football game had the making of a colossal epic matchup! We knew it was going to be a very competitive game between the Los Angeles Chargers (7-1) and the Indianapolis Colts (7-1). The board was cleaned from the NFC snow game between Green Bay and Detroit yesterday, the players were dipped in water so the bases had no particles on them, and the home team Colts came out roaring with Joseph Addai returning the ball 41 yards on the opening kick return! The Los Angeles defense led by All-Pro's Ernie Ladd and Earl Faison stopped Addai and company on his first two runs, forcing a pass play on third down at the 12-yard line of the Chargers. Two plays later Addai busted through the right side of the line and into the end zone for his first touchdown of the game! Indianapolis wasted no time trying to add on the points with a two point conversion attempt, which seems to be the new norm in the league in the playoffs. Colts receiver, Raymond Berry caught the two-point conversion from Indianapolis quarterback Payton Manning to give the Colts the lead 8-0, at 3:41 in the first quarter! Chargers 0 Colts 8 at 3:41/1 Kellen Winslow who was a big star last week with 419 yards with two 100 yard touchdowns against the New York Jets in the AFC Wild Card Game, had a hard time returning the ball, and Winslow only gained 25 yards on the play. The Chargers knew this game would be a huge challenge against Coach BO'C and the Colts. In the remaining two minutes of the first quarter the defensive battle in the trenches killed the clock as the two-minute warning went off and the teams switched sides. When play picked up, on first down LA running back LaDainian Tomlinson ran five yards to the 30 yard line as the first quarter came to a close! Second quarter action This matchup turned into a ferocious battle with this Indianapolis defense fighting the Chargers for every inch of pride. Indianapolis #2 defense is led by All-Pro Bubba Smith, Elmer Collett, and Quentin Nelson, as they brought the Long island Electric Football League to their feet in applaud for their efforts after being acknowledged by the coaches who were impressed by their work. They were doing a great job here holding off one of the best players we have in the game as Bubba Smith made the defensive tackle against Tomlinson after a 6-yard gain on the next play. That play brought Tomlinson back to the original line of scrimmage, making it 4th down. Indianapolis is taking no prisoners! What a huge fourth down play which lifted the momentum for the Chargers as Tomlinson caught a pass from quarterback Philip Rivers, right at the first down marker, as this tough defense of the Colts is no pushover to this tough Chargers team, with 6:13 left in the half! With time running out in the half the Chargers continued to drive the football and Tomlinson came up big again with the 19-yard touchdown run, and after the two-point conversion caught by Lance Alsworth in the end zone, the score was tied 8-8, with 3:29 left to go in the half in a clock eater! Chargers 8 Colts 8 at 3:29/2 Colts running back Joseph Addai ran back a beautiful 60-yard kick return to the sideline, and the Colts decided to put it up in the air, but Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was exposed by this Chargers defense on first down and Los Angeles could not find anybody open! The Colts blew the opportunity with 1:49 remaining in the half. Indianapolis had only one time out left before the half ended. What a defensive game the Chargers stopped the Colts on the next run, which brought up the fourth down. Indianapolis decided to go for the field goal from 59 yards to give them the lead with 1:03 left to go in the half as Los Angeles used their last time out of the half! Chargers 8 Colts 11 at 1:03/2 Oh my goodness! What an explosive electrifying run by the Superstar running back LaDainian Tomlinson who took it back a hundred yards into the end zone give the Chargers the lead and crush the Colts momentum! What a spectacular play! This place is going crazy! We've been watching Tomlinson work magic all season long! The Chargers will go for two points. You can't predict what will happen in big games like this. So far, this game has been mostly a defensive game, but that last play opened the game up! Kellen Winslow found himself open in the end zone and Philip Rivers connected with him for the two-point conversion to give the Los Angeles the lead 16 -11, with 41 seconds left and the Colts used their last time out of the half! Chargers 16 Colts 11 at 41 seconds/2 This game has turned quickly into a panic attack! On the kick return for Indianapolis, Addai ran it back 51 yards with just 30 seconds left with the clock counting down the end of the half, but not before the Colts kicked a field goal as time ran out to make the score 16-14 Chargers, in this close battle as the first half ended! Chargers 16 Colts 11 END FIRST HALF The winner of this game will host the Miami Dolphins in the AFC championship game. The Dolphins and the Chargers have been there before and the Colts will be a challenge for anybody as the AFC hunts for it's Champion to compete against the NFC. Game Day analyst Andy Slawson of Slawson's Corner said, "What great electric football as we watch two of the best defensive teams in the Long Island Electric Football League. Indianapolis had the #1 defense in the AFC with only 64 points allowed, and LA was ranked #8 with 102, but they're also two of the best offensive teams, so it's always interesting when you put that combination together and then add great coaching into the equation, and we get games like this. We give Coach Viggs for Los Angeles a slight edge on coach BOC's Indianapolis Colts because of his passing skills. We could already feel that this one's going to end in a heartbreak!" Third quarter action: On the first play of the third quarter Tomlinson returned the ball 46 yards and then he had ran for four, six, and a 10 yards for a first down, bringing the ball to the Colts 33-yard line with 9:04 remaining in the third quarter. On the next play Tomlinson exploded, taking the ball to the 15-yard line on an 18-yard run as the Chargers offense began to kick it into high gear, taking inch by inch, moving slowly, but closer to scoring as Coach Viggs mastered the clock. And on the next first down Tomlinson ran into the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown to set the Chargers are on fire, extending their lead to 22-14, before the two point conversion attempt! Not all two-point conversions are automatic as the big Colts Bronco Nugursky of Indianapolis tackled Tomlinson in the backfield to stop the two-point conversion as the Colts defense denies any extra points to Los Angeles. That could be a very costly mistake for Viggs, with 5:22 left to go in the third quarter. That is the exact kind of mistake that Coach BO'C could take advantage of when the final seconds countdown. Coach Viggs may have been trying to get greedy there. If BOC's Colts score they can take the lead with a two point conversion! Chargers 22 Colts 14 at 5:22/3 With the two-minute warning sounding off, time in the third quarter was ticking down as the Colts set up for a pass on second down after losing 8 yards on the first run in this very exciting defensive matchup. The intensity just went up 10 decibels as Peyton Manning threw a strike into the arms of star running back Joseph Addai, who took a scorching run 55 yards into the end zone make the score 22-20 Chargers with the lead, and the Colts were going for two points to tie the game as the third quarter comes to a close! Fourth quarter action On the two point conversion Marvin Harrison caught the ball wide open to tie the game at 22-22, with 14:34 remaining in this game between two outstanding teams and coaches! Chargers 22 Colts 22 at 14:34/4 On the Chargers next kick return Tomlinson ran the ball back just 30 yards. On first down the Colts defensive standout Bubba Smith, stormed in and made a huge stop on Tomlinson for a five-yard loss on the play. On the next play though, Tomlinson exploded for a 20-yard first down, bringing the ball to midfield. On the following play Smith and the defensive line of the Colts banged back the Chargers front line, losing 10 yards, and bringing up a second down play, with 8:18 left to go in the game. These Colts are determined as Smith makes another huge stop in the backfield for another seven-yard loss, and the Chargers go to third down from their own 33-yard line. The Chargers are in big trouble. We have never seen the Chargers struggle like this on the line and what a game coach BO'C and his Colts have played, making some huge plays! LA quarterback Philip Rivers came up huge on third down passing the ball to his receiver Lance Alsworth who ran the ball 41 yards to the Indianapolis 24 yard line with 7:26 left to go in the game! The clock was running out in the game. Coach Viggs was eating the clock up with Tomlinson running for five yards, and then he made a first down on a sizzling 17 yard scamper, bringing the ball to the one yard line of the Colts with the score tied at 22-22, with 4:20 left to go in the game! What a game it has been! Two extremely strategic coaches in a war to get to the AFC Championship game next week. On second down Tomlinson was stopped again by a very aggressive Colts defense. Bubba Smith made his third tackle of the game, and then Elmer Collett made a great play as time wound down and the two-minute warning sounded off for the final two-minutes of play at 1:51 in this nail biter! With third down at stake, the Chargers found themselves at the 18-yard line after the Colts defense came up huge, yet again! On the next play, third down, just before being sacked, Philip Rivers threw a great pass to Chuck Muncie who took the ball in from 18 yards away for the touchdown! The Chargers took the lead back 28-22, with 1:35 remaining in the game! Indianapolis had both of their timeouts left and the Chargers were forced to make a very difficult decision, but they decided to go for the two-point conversion, and the Chargers called timeout. The players lined up ready for the conversion. Lance Alsworth broke free in the end zone and scored on a great catch by Rivers to make the score Chargers 30-22, with 1:26 left to go in the game! There is an awful lot of pressure put on Addai with seconds left in the game. Chargers 30 Colts 22 at 1:26/4 On the final kick return of the game with the Colts trying to tie the bolts, this game's going to give somebody a heart attack as Joseph Addai returned the ball 53 yards! The Colts still have one last chance to tie the game, and Billy O'C has to overcome his league known passing problems. The game may boil down to one play! With one minute left in the game the Chargers defense came up huge as lineman Louie Kelcher caught on to the arm of Addai who almost escaped into a wide open field, but he was stopped in a game saving play by Kelcher, and so we end the game in dramatic style with the Colts, who had seconds left, kicking a useless field goal. What an upset! The Colts lose to the Chargers 30-25, in a spectacular finish! Coach Billy O'C can't believe it! He paused, hugs Coach Viggs, and better luck next year fella! 8. "KEEPING ELECTRIC FOOTBALL ALIVE" LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (7-1) VS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (7-1) AFC DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME#2 December 14, 2020. Indianapolis, Indiana. The winner of this games faces the returning AFC Champion Miami Dolphins, which will be played in Tampa this week in preparation for the 2020 LIEFL Super Bowl to be played at New York Yankees Special Advisor and baseball Executive Ray Negron's house in Coquina Key! Negron served as the late George M. Steinbrenner's personal Assistant for 38 years, and he has worked for the Yankees for nearly 50 years! Negron (Left) seated here with Nick Singh, at Breakfast with us this weekend as we discuss the plans for our upcoming Long Island Super Bowl. Next week he will be doing a special segment on his show with former baseball great Doc Gooden at NYPVG studios in Bellmore, New York. Negron will also have on the National Electric Football Game Museum Curator, Chris Le May who is a frequent contributor here on the Tudor Games Site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn5_TF1LM-s This game has it all in the Long Island Electric Football League AFC Divisional Championship Game #2 between the Los Angeles Chargers (7-1), and the Indianapolis Colts (7-1). On paper both of these teams have made huge strides since our seven game season format began in 2008. The Chargers coached by Ed Viggs are hungry for a title. In 2018, they were AFC Champions, but they lost to the Rams in a first ever LIEFL Los Angeles Super Bowl XIV, 31-28! But that has not stopped this team from performing. Last season Buffalo upset the Chargers 49-48! Los Angeles has proven in the past three seasons that they are going to give 150% to beat you. Andrew Slawson, our Sports Analyst said,"Viggs is the best coach in this league. He is one of the most clever coaches I have seen, and the secrets to his success are evident in that he still has Washington, Green Bay, and these Chargers, still alive in this tournament because he knows the game of football as a former quarterback, receiver, and cornerback. That's a lot to manage, and he is playing here in this game for a reason--because he knows how to motivate his team to win! In the old days when we had different rules, we had a no stop rule, which meant that the game was running live and you had to pass with game on. Viggs was connecting with his receivers on 40 or 50 yard passes on the fly consistently. The LIEFL is more of an East Coast running league though. Viggs has always been run-and-shoot, but with LA, he can run all day with that enormous and vicious front line of Faison, Ladd, and Washington, not to mention Booker Brown. That on the fly rule has since changed, and it's harder to pass now with the kicker, and the set-up's are quick in addition to just being a one-stop league. I'd match this coach up against any coach in the world playing this hobby. He wins quietly, like a stealth warrior moving in for the kill. He doesn't want the recognition or the pat on the back, he just comes here to win!" The Los Angeles Chargers have won 27 games and lost 16 regular season games since 2008, that's a lot of winning, and they have won seven games in a row this year. They have not lost a game since July 31, since the first game of this year's season when they lost at Cincinnati in overtime 20-14! Los Angeles has been on a rampage. Running back LaDanian Tomlinson is a huge part of that success. Tomlinson was the AFC Offensive Player of the Year last season, and this year he was runner-up to Denver's Terrell Davis who had a breakout year. In the rushing department, Tomlinson was the #1 rusher in the Long Island Electric Football League out of 32 running backs, with 45 rushes for 638 yards with 11 touchdowns, and he had 64 total carries for 1640 all-purpose yards, with 13 touchdowns overall as the #4 all-purpose player in the LIEFL! But Viggs and his star players are going up against another steady coach in LIEFL Commissioner Billy O'C's or BOC's Indianapolis Colts. BOC poses some hefty competition for Viggs with eight Super Bowl titles in this league, and BOC's Rams and Dolphins played in last year's Super Bowl, which Viggs played for BOC as alternate coach, beating BOC 44-41! BOC has his Colts ready to put the jolt in the Chargers bolt! BOC said, "Viggs is a mastermind genius in many ways, and I know what is coming at us in these Chargers, but my team is ready for the next level, and today we have to prove it. We had the #2 defense in the LIEFL behind those amazing Green Bay Packers, and Viggs knows both sides of the game, so my running back Joseph Addai and my receivers Marvin Harrison and Raymond Berry need to perform. This Chargers team is a great team." Addai is no slouch. He has been leading this team in great ways, and the Colts have played outstanding electric football this season.
  9. PACKERS MAKE HISTORY IN FIRST EVER LIEFL SNOW GAME! NFC Division rivals Detroit Lions (6-2) and the Green Bay Packers (6-1) get ready for the kickoff in the Long Island Electric Football League's first ever Snow Bowl! What a game it was! December 13, 2020 at Lambeau Field, Green Bay Wisconsin. With the NFC Divisional Championship Game on the line, the Detroit Lions went to Lambeau Field to knock out the pesty Green Bay Packers, who have been brutal to opponents on defense all season long. Today would be no different, with the mastermind Coach Ed Viggs guiding his Packers, who have not been to a playoff game in twenty years in this league. Coach Viggs is the Belichick of our league, and the master of preparation, but this game would be different. Like Belichick, Viggs always has something up his sleeve. The problem is in a game for the first time, we would play the game in snow. Everything is a test when it comes to particles interfering with delicate player base bottoms because we can't predict what will happen, but Viggs obviously worked long and hard on his strategy. Green Bay running back Terdell Middleton hardly saw the ball this season, and Viggs pitched the idea to us, serving as media for the Forum, that his "big back" Jim Taylor was going to be the lead guy today, but Viggs threw a "switch" like a wrestler winning a state championship in the final seconds of a match by handing the ball to Middleton to get the job done. That is a lot of pressure, but obviously Viggs practiced a bit for this game. And boy, did Middleton deliver! He did the near impossible against an outstanding Detroit Lions team and coach. Middleton rushed the ball ten times for 100 yards in the snow, with three touchdowns! Unbelievable how this coach gets these players to perform, especially against a great team. The Packers went on to route the tough Lions 31-26, to advance to the NFC Championship Game against Seattle or Washington, to be played at Lambeau Field on Wednesday down in Florida, for real! There was quite a bit of consideration before playing this game and on a 10 to 1 vote the game was approved to be played with snow and there were several tests by the league commissioner before the game so that the snow was applied fairly with and agreement to shovel at the half, but leave the piled up snow in the end zone. Hours before the game several materials were tested on the field and what we found was that flour was too thick. Baking soda was excellent for the sidelines of the field and the back end zones, but what really worked well on the field was Johnson & Johnson baby powder because of its light micro particles, it didn't slow up the runners too much. To offset that issue we turned up the speed even more until Rules Commissioner Pete Porcelli, Commissioner Billy O'C, and Slawson's Corner Andy Slawson were satisfied. The appearance of the field was beautiful and the snow seemed to fit nicely. The game certainly did feel like a game that was played in the snow with a few icy patches it seemed on the field. We turned up the speed a little higher than usual for the game as Sterling Sharpe returned the football to the 43 yard line on the opening kickoff for Green Bay! The Lions stopped the Packers on the first two runs and Jim Taylor had no place to run. On third down Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw a beautiful pass to Don Hutson who took the ball 65 yards into the end zone with Herman Moore in the chase as Hudson made history, scoring the Long Island Electric Football League's first ever touchdown in the snow! Success! Regardless of the speed, the players did run a little bit slower, but they still achieved the same result. Packers 7 Lions 0 at 10:20 The Lions spent the next 10 minutes and 20 seconds trying to get into the end zone. Detroit star running back Dexter Bussey, who has been sensational this season, ran back a 58 yard kick return followed up by four different runs. Bussey gained only seven yards on the ground. It took a 34-yard pass reception to the big guy Herman Moore to put the Lions and striking distance at the 4-yard line as the first quarter quickly came to a close in this defensive rivalry. Second quarter action: On the first play of the second quarter Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a beautiful pass to Herman Moore for a 15-yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7, with 14:14 remaining in the half! Packers 7 Lions 7 at 14:14 Surprise! Surprise! What a fierce battle even at high speed in the game as coach Viggs threw a guy into the game who knows how to play in the snow ... Terdell Middleton, who hasn't played much this season. He ran the ball 36 times for 236 yards, with only one touchdown. On first down, Middleton ran a 17-yard first down then another 10-yard first down. He was stopped once and then ran for another 12 yards, and then finally into the end zone on a 5-yard touchdown to give the Packers the lead 13-7 with 4:41 left to go in the half! So far the game has definitely slowed down with the snow, but still very exciting and certainly had a lifelike feel to it! The Packers decided to go for a two-point conversion and they made it on a Don Hutson catch to put the Green Bay ahead 15-7 at 2:37 where Detroit calls their first time out! Packers 15 Lions 7 at 2:37 Bussey ran back a 53-yard kick return on the Lions next possession, and then the Green Bay defense came at him like wild animals, stopping him on the first run. Then Detroit tried to pass on second down and Stafford hit Herman Moore for a 15-yard pass, but it was short of the first down and the Lions decided to go back to the running game with Bussey on the run, and they were stopped again, which forced the Lions to kick a field goal at 1:12 remaining in the half from 45 yards away. The kick by Detroit was good, making the score 15-10! Green Bay still had the lead. The Packers called a timeout and the snow coming down on the field looked beautiful! Packers 15 Lions 10 at 1:12 Coach Viggs must have planned this play to eat the clock, but Middleton returned the ball 30 yards and then Rogers threw an 8-yard pass play to Middleton again over the middle to end the half with Green Bay going into the locker room with a 15-10 lead in quite a game! These are the games that really matter when it comes to your defense as the snow plow goes on the field to remove snow by the end zone and middle of the field, otherwise there were really no issues. First half assessment of the field by the LIEFL Commissioner William O'Connell. "So far it's been a lot of fun I think to bring snow into the game and it sure does seem that the Packers have a bit of an advantage, almost like the real life NFL Packers. For the second half of action we cleared the field a little more to see if it would change anything, but truthfully in their first meeting between these two teams, there wasn't much action. It was mostly a defensive game and that's what it's turned out to be right here today, and there's no doubt that Dexter Bussey has been slowed up. The Packers defense has come to play! End of the first half Third quarter action: Dexter Bussey had another weak kick return for 31 yards to begin the third quarter, but on first down Bussey exploded for a 37-yard first down. That Green Bay defense continues to play Bussey well, stopping him on second down. On third down, he ran for another first down bringing the ball to the 21-yard line of the Packers. The Lions front line did a great job against a tremendous defense as Bussey brings the ball to the 7-yard line. He was hit hard by Reggie White. These two teams are working extra hard today as Dexter Bussey ran in a touchdown from three yards away to give the Lions the lead 18-15 after the two-point conversion caught by Calvin Johnson with 1:27 remaining in the third quarter with the two minute drill passing by because of the play, and the clock stops! Packers 15 Lions 18 at 1:27 On the Packers next kickoff return, Sterling Sharpe did a beautiful job returning the ball 52 yards to the Lions 48 yard line as the third quarter came to a close, and we are on to the last quarter of football in this tight game! Fourth quarter action: To pick up where they left off on a hard earned first down, Packers running back Terdell Middleton ran 48 yards into the end zone on an explosive play to give the Packers the lead 21-18, and the Packers will go for a two-point conversion on the play, which they made on a pass from Rogers to Sharpe to give Green Bay the lead 23-18, with 12:52 remaining in the game! Packers 23 Lions 18 at 12:52 Whatever coach Vigg's plan is it's definitely working against their division rival and Bussey was slowed up again on a 24 yard kick return. The Packers defense has been brutal, stopping Bussey on the first his two runs into the hands of Forrest Greg and defensive end Reggie White who broke through the Lions front three. White just made his third tackle of the game with 9:06 remaining in our first ever Snow Bowl. There was no giving up in the Detroit. The Lions came storming right back on third down as Stafford hit the big receiver Calvin Johnson, who blazed 77 yards down field and into the end zone to give Detroit the lead in this back and forth amazing game! After the two-point conversion which was caught by Herman Moore from Stafford, the Lions made the score 26-23, with 5:39 remaining in the game! Packers 23 Lions 26 at 5:39 It's another nail biter between these two amazing teams, but of course many people are cheering for the Packers who in some ways are the underdog in the league. Coaches may become believers if they beat Detroit here! On the kick return for the Packers Sterling Sharpe ran a gorgeous 67 yard kick return through the snow on a tremendous setup play. Detroit was able to stop Green Bay on the first two runs, but on third down Aaron Rodgers hit Jim Taylor on a swing pass and Taylor took it 28 yards to the Detroit 8 yard line, with 1:39 left to go in the game and the Lions call a timeout! What a thriller in the making of Snow Bowl I! The snow may have slowed the players up but certainly not the coaches in this historic game, which is coming down to the wire with Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker's Detroit Lions leading by three points! Green Bay stormed through the line and what a play! Middleton got into the end zone from one yard away and Green Bay took the lead 29-26, and the Packers went for the two-point conversion to make it 31-26, with 54 seconds remaining in the game with the clock running, and no timeouts left! Packers 31 Lions 26 at 54 seconds On the last play the game Detroit's Calvin Johnson ran the ball back 48 yards and Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker realized it was the end of the line for his Lions! The Green Bay Packers make history in a game never to be forgotten! They will go on to the NFC Championship Game in spectacular fashion to play the winner of Washington and Seattle! What finish and what a heartbreaker for Detroit! The Packers and Coach Viggs played a bigger than life game! He said, "I am proud of my guys, but our work is not over. I am applying to have the NFC Championship Game in the snow as well." 11. December 13 2020. Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Tonight's NFC Divisional Championship Game in the Long Island Electric Football League between the Detroit Lions (6-2) and the Green Bay Packers (6-1), has never experimented with a snow game before. A huge game like this one may or may not be the time to try, but the league voted 10 to 1 on Friday to allow it. The only one who didn't approve the vote to play in the snow was coach Matt McQueen. McQueen, Coach Viggs rival, said, "I am not voting for Viggy to come up with some concocted strategy to gain an advantage to stop Dexter Bussey. I think that he thinks that his play is superior, but he finds ways to gain the advantage, and nobody in the league wants to speak up because he's the "Golden-Boy" of the league." No one knows what to expect, and it may work for or against Green Bay Packers coach Ed Viggs. We don't know about Detroit's loud and proud coach Johnny Freeport Chucker, whose Baltimore Ravens were stunned by Miami yesterday in the Dolphins 52-46 AFC DCG in the Long Island Electric Football league, but we do know one thing, the Detroit Lions and Dexter Bussey are in town to play today in our first ever snow game featuring two incredible football teams. McQueen continued, "That is what he's afraid of. Bussey can embarrass a team single-handedly." Coach Viggs said before the game, "As you know I am not going to comment about any of my plays or strategy and McQueeny is just mad because all of his teams are out of the playoffs. We played the Lions and won 14-7 early in the season. Today will mostly be a defensive game. Jim Taylor will come up big for us. And if we win this week in the snow, we will be back next week in the snow after we vote again. It adds excitement to the game of electric football, all this controversy stirring around. Listen I am an investor, and a good one. You have to have a strategy and so what, I plan, and maybe these other coaches in this league don't plan as well. At the end of the day, I am going to play the game of electric football with integrity. I was an athlete for two Rutgers Cup Championship football teams, and we didn't win by not having a plan." Our Long Island Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Andrew Slawson of Slawson's Corner, a tremendous football player and All-County wrestler here on Long Island said, "Nobody knows what to expect in this game and it's assumed that coach Viggs has been practicing on his own in his own snow covered field. He's like the Bill Belichick of our league, and apparently has some strategy for this game to stop Dexter Bussey. The only thing that makes sense is to slow down Bussey with the snow. In their first meeting of the season the Packers beat the Lions 14-7, in a mostly defensive game. Bussey only rushed for 26 yards in that game and he did not even have a hundred yards in kick returns, so that should open everyone's eyes, and in this game it's the playoffs, so anything can happen. When you have a bigmouth coach who thinks he is invincible, it could backfire on him like his loss to Miami did yesterday! I am not really of fan of hot headed coaches, but it makes for drama in the league. I don't care how tall or big Chucker is, the rules commissioner played professional football and he tones everyone down. We have all been childhood friends forever!" Slawson continued, "The Packers and Viggs will have running back Terdell Middleton to fall back on should the big bruising big game specialist fullback Jim Taylor not deliver for Green Bay today. Taylor is expected to do all the short yardage work with his size and speed and experience in the big games. But don't forget the Lions did beat the Carolina Panthers to get here. And Carolina whipped Green Bay 42-20 in last year's NFC DCG. If anything, the three time NFC finalist Detroit Lions are a team to be reckoned with and coach Vigg's knows that. Whatever the strategy is, put you seat belts on because we're in for a rough slushy ride. Stats in a game like this kind of go out the window because we don't know what to expect." The Lions coach Johnny Chucker said, "Today's a day to show the league that we don't care who you are and who your team is, you better be ready for my team. A little snow never hurt anybody and it certainly not going to hurt a plastic figure, I don't think. Dexter will prove to the world today that nothing is going to stop him, and I have all the confidence in the world that this guy with more than 10,000 yards and almost 75 career touchdowns, won't be stopped. It's all he knows is getting into the end zone. The only thing I worry about is doing damage to my 40-year-old player base. But since we all use the same passcode for this website and Forum, and we check regularly, so if you have any ideas let me know." LIEFL Commissioner Billy O'C said, "Chucker has made himself into a celebrity in the league with his antics, because you never know what to expect. After the Chucker made that comment he was of course told that people don't read this until after the game and he knows that. Every league has to have a guy like this because on a psychological level it only makes you play harder to try to beat his teams. And he's not very good when he loses a game and whatever coach Viggs has planned it will be interesting to watch. We expect a very low scoring game and the winner of this will go on to play the winner of Washington and Seattle for the NFC Championship!" Billy O'C continued, "There's a lot of questions about snow games like how much flour do you put on the field? How much of an obstacle does it present for the team? Does it do any damage to the players or the field? Is there going to be a protest when people like the Chucker don't get his way? There's lots of questions at stake but I voted yes because I think the league loves challenges and the coaches in this league think it's a great idea being that the game will be in Green Bay. We want the excitement to try to make the game feel life-like. The effect it's going to have on the players we don't know but we do know that they've been practicing on their own with flour so it's not going to be a surprise to them it might be to me because I haven't seen it yet." Tell us your thoughts about what you use on the field and how it impacts the game by sharing photos as well.

  13. I love those games! That game was such an intense game. We have the biggest trash talker out there in this league, and the snow game is later today between Chucker and Viggs! These are great pics above! I love my Colts too, and if they beat LA the alternate coach plays me. The hardest part will be who to choose because the Colts and Dolphins are my teams!
  14. December 12, 2020. Miami Florida. PREGAME: The lifelike feel of real football versus electric football we hobbyists seem to get before a big game can bring on the same anxiousness we might get before a big sporting event, and if you played football, we know how much excitement putting on the pads may feel. It is unreal that were are in this 2020 AFC Divisional Championship Game matchup in the Long island Electric Football League because when when you look ahead in life it seems like an eternity, but looking back feels like being in a vortex and time warp continuum of sorts because time went so fast, like a click of a light switch. This game may very well be a grudge match between the AFC North Champion Baltimore Ravens (6-1),and the AFC East Champion Miami Dolphins (6-2). In the first LIEFL seven-game season format played in 2008, these Ravens upset Miami 21-17 in the AFC Wild Card Game to advance Baltimore to the AFC Divisional Championship Game where they lost to the LIEFL-Super Bowl XI Champion Oakland Raiders, 21-14. Coach Billy O'C will never forget that game. He said, "I recognized that the Dolphins weren't playing consistently great competition until the draft changed the league. And now I question whether or not they were the great team that I thought they were. Losing is a humbling experience, but it's not all about that, especially if you have a love for a hobby. In this game you have to lose with dignity and humility. And what I really loved about losing was the fact that from the point that the Ravens beat us in that game in 2008, to today, we've been beaten many times, which means we have a competitive league. To me that is what is important, the balance of the league. This season we had 25 teams battling right up to week six. You can never count on victory like the old days. So today I have a special gift for the Ravens and their non-stop loudmouth coach, and his name is Jason Taylor." One thing about Baltimore is they are consistent, and so is the trash their coach Johnny Freeport Chucker talks about everyone in the league. In the seven season's they have been in the LIEFL, they have made the playoffs six times, making it to the second round of the AFC Divisional Championship Game three times. It's time for Baltimore to rise up as first seed in this tournament, and for the Chucker to put his money where his mouth is! The Ravens have had an amazing year, but of course even having an amazing year comes with criticism. Johnny Freeport Chucker, who just took his Detroit Lions to the NFC Divisional Championship Game is the coach of the Baltimore Ravens. Chucker, the 6'4" retired Police Detective, has played tough against everyone this year, really tweaking his coaching skills to big tournament level. He is focused, disciplined on the board, and determined. He said, "Billy O'C can't pass and you can't win without a passing game in the big games, and our defense is going to beat up on these Dolphins and take away Mercury Morris' kryptonite, until Miami has nothing left. We are going to make him pay when he makes a mistake. Viggs is the best coach in the league and I am gunning for his Packers. Just watch--there will be an upset in the snow bowl this weekend. We can beat Miami, and then it's on to tear up the winner of the overrated Colts and Chargers. My goal is to get the Ravens and the Lions into the 2020 LIEFL-Super Bowl, but either way I am driving down to Florida for some fun this week." It didn't seem to phase Chucker that Miami won the AFC title last season. He is all about the game-plan and the upset, but Miami doesn't just have Morris. They have Mark Duper and Mark Clayton, and they match up well against the Ravens stars Derrick Mason, and tight end Mark Andrews. Duper has 18 all-purpose carries and 1007 yards, with two touchdowns versus Mason's 19 all-purpose carries for 1203 yards, with four touchdowns. And when we looked at the data for the running backs for Miami Mercury Morris and the Ravens Jamal Lewis, these two players have been excellent producers. Morris was #4 in rushing right behind Lewis who was #3 in the AFC. Morris had 51 rushes for 516 yards, with nine touchdowns and Lewis had 53 rushes for 526 yards with 10 touchdowns! The key matchups on the line will be All-Pro's Jason Taylor and Larry Little taking on All-Pro's Willie Anderson and John Ogden. Let's not forget Baltimore's five-time LIEFL Pro-Bowler Ray Lewis at linebacker, who's a beast! MIAMI'S MORRIS SCORES RECORD-SETTING SEVEN TOUCHDOWNS AND 325 YARDS RUSHING BESTS BALTIMORE'S MASON FOUR 100 YARD TD'S AS MIAMI UPSETS THE #1 RAVENS IN REVENGE GAME 52-46! Miami's Mercury Morris had a record crushing performance with 323 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, tying OJ Simpson's Super Bowl record as Miami defeated the Baltimore Ravens in a huge upset 52-46! Baltimore's Derrick Mason set a record four 100 yard kick returns in the game as the two teams put on a light show with 12 touchdowns and an unexpected 1381 total yards, in an epic game! The explosion started on the opening kickoff for Coach Chucker with Ravens star Derek Mason lighting it up with a hundred yard kick return to give the Ravens their first score 7-0, at 14:45 in the first quarter! What an electrifying trailblazing run and statement! Ravens 7 Dolphins 0 at 14:45 Miami came right back with a nice 40-yard kick return by Dolphins set-up man, Mark Duper. The Dolphins front line took over on first down with lineman Jason Taylor leading the way, exploding and opening a hole for running back Mercury Morris to make way for a 53-yard rushing first down, bringing the ball to the seven-yard line of Baltimore. Two plays later, Morris was in the end zone to tie the game at 7-7, with 8:34 remaining in the first quarter! The Ravens watched Morris blow right through them like no team has this season! Ravens 7 Dolphins 7 at 8:34 Nobody is going to stop Derek Mason today! Mason exploded for his second straight 100-yard kick return into the end zone to put the Ravens ahead 14-7! Coach Chucker is going wild, with 6:53 on a the clock and a spectacular run by Mason who has been unstoppable all season long! Ravens 14 Dolphins 7 at 6:53 Miami Coach Billy O'C remains calm and keeps the game in control with his running attack, and after their first drive, the Dolphins are going to push the Ravens to the limit. What an incredible impressive drive by the Dolphins. After a 50-yard kick return by Mark Duper with time running down in the quarter the Dolphins drove the ball all the way down to the two minute warning where Mercury Mars had three runs of 16, 16, and 12 yards down to the eight-yard line of the Ravens. With three first downs in a row Morris on his next run Morris ran straight into the end zone to tie the game 14-14, as the first quarter came to a close Ravens 14 Dolphins 14 at 6:53 End of first quarter Second quarter action Derek Mason is an amazing electric football player! He is a no fear runner. Mason just ran back his third straight 100-yard touchdown in an incredible run straight through the middle of the field to give the Ravens a 21-14 lead and this place is going crazy in an uproar!!! You could feel that Mason was going to have a special day! What a spectacular run for the All-Pro! This game is turning into a historic game and it's obvious that both of these teams are going to battle to the last second to earn the right to advance to the AFC Championship Game! Ravens 21 Dolphins 14 at 14:45 Miami had another impressive drive creating a firestorm of offense and blistering through the Ravens defense, beginning with a 56-yard kick return by Mark Duper. On first down, Morris ran 42 yards to the two-yard line of Baltimore, and one play later Morris stormed into the end zone for his third rushing touchdown of the game! Morris was having as impressive a day as Mason in this incredible matchup, with 10:11 left in the half! Ravens 21 Dolphins 21 at 10:11 This time Mason ran back the kick 41 yards. On first down, the Miami defense ran right through the Baltimore offensive line, stopping Jamal Lewis at the line of scrimmage. Lewis, who touched the ball for the first time in the game was slow to get up after being tackled by defensive tackle Manny Fernandez of Miami. On second down, Lewis ran for nine yards, one yard shy of the first down. The Ravens weren't taking any chances on third down. Quarterback Lamar Jackson made a beautiful eight yard pass to Mark Ingram to bring the ball to the Dolphins 42-yard line. The two-minute warning sounded off for the first half. On the next run the Ravens were shut down by Dolphins All-Pro Jason Taylor who made a huge tackle. The Chucker made a few comments about Taylor to the effect that, "It's a long game." The Dolphins defense was relentless. They held Lamar Jackson to a 10-yard pass, still 10-yards short of the first down, bringing up a third down play for the Ravens. Baltimore was stuffed again third down by the Dolphins defense as veteran Bob Kuchenberg, still with his original player base from 1972, made a huge tackle for a five-yard loss forcing a field goal for the Ravens from 47 yards away to make the score 24-21, with 1:08 left to go in the half and Miami called a timeout with Baltimore in the lead! Ravens 24 Dolphins 21 at 1:08 After being spun around in the center of the field by the 30-yard line Morris ran in a 38-yard touchdown to stun the Ravens as the Dolphins took back the lead 28-24 with 37 seconds left to go and the half! Wow! Morris scored his fourth touchdown of the game making it seven total between the two teams before the half! Ravens 24 Dolphins 28 at 37 seconds As the half came to a close Derrick Mason returned the ball 54 yards and he was tackled by Larry little and Mark Clayton. The Ravens called field goal and made it from 46 yards away to make the score 28-27, Miami led the game going into the second half, but what a first half of football! Ravens 27 Dolphins 28 End of the first half Second half action To open that second half Miami's Mark Duper ran the ball back 35 yards. On first down Mercury Morris blew a hole open from 15 yards out and then ran another first down for 12 yards, bringing the ball to the Baltimore 38-yard line. On the next set of first downs Morris ran a 38 yard blazing touchdown into the end zone for his fifth touchdown of the game to make the score 35-27, and Miami is going to go for the two-point conversion at 10:07! On the two point conversion Marino lobbed it up to Clayton in the end zone and the Dolphins jumped ahead 36-27! The excitement was endless! Ravens 27 Dolphins 36 at 7:54 Derrick Mason ran the kickoff back 37 yards when the Ravens got the ball back. The Dolphins stuffed the run and there was nowhere to go for Jamal Lewis. Baltimore decided to air it out and quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a 21-yard pass to Mark Ingram for the first down! On the very next play the Ravens passed again, this time it was completed to tight end Mark Andrews for 47-yards, bringing the ball to the Miami one yard line with 1:27 remaining in the third quarter with the two minute drill sounding off! On first down Mark Andrews caught a nice touchdown pass from Jackson to bring the Ravens within reach with the score, 36-33! on the two-point conversion try, Jackson hit Andrews again in the end zone for the two-point conversion to make the score 36-35 with Miami in the lead at 14:39! The tremendous energy in the room was magical! Ravens 35 Dolphins 36 at 14:39 The Dolphins are making history yet again. Mark Duper took back a kick return that blew the doors off the Baltimore defense 90 yards to the Ravens 10-yard line and on the next play Mercury Morris ran in his sixth touchdown of the game for a Long Island Electric Football League Record! Morris then followed up with a two-point conversion on a pass from Marino to give Miami a 44-35 lead, at 9:33 left in the game! Don't leave your seat! Ravens 35 Dolphins 44 at 9:33 This game is beyond a nail biter as we watched Derrick Mason run back his fourth absolutely electrifying 100-yard touchdown of the game setting another Long Island Electric Football League historic record with his fourth 100 yarder, making the score 44-43 at 8:19 left in the game after Mark Andrews caught his second two-point conversion of the game! This game is historic indeed! A colossal matchup of two battling teams in a game as exciting as any Super Bowl! Ravens 43 Dolphins 44 at 8:19 Unbelievable! The Miami Dolphins make this a historic day as Duper returns the ball 46 yards, and one play later Mercury Morris ties in all-time touchdown record in a game with his seventh touchdown, on a 54-yard touchdown around the end as he just ramps up the yardage on this Ravens defense in a spectacular performance by Miami to make the score 52-43 after Mark Clayton caught the two yard two-point conversion from Miami quarterback Dan Marino with 3:45 remaining in the game! Morris and the Dolphins offense rolled over the Ravens stunning them with another record, 323 yards rushing in the game for Morris! Holy Cow! Miami is playing championship football! Ravens 43 Dolphins 52 at 3:45 These two teams have laid it all on the line, both playing a spectacular football game as the Freeport Chucker gets one more chance at Miami trailing in the game by nine, and only a miracle can win this one for the Ravens as Miami looks like they're either going to play Los Angeles or Indianapolis! Coach Chucker was very upset. He shook hands with Billy O'C and said he'd get him back. With time running out in the game Mason ran a 53-yard kick return back and Baltimore had to pass, but they could only manage four yards on a catch by Jamal Lewis as time ran down and the Ravens ran out of timeouts. In a dramatic finish on a 54-yard field goal by Baltimore to end the game, the Miami Dolphins (7-2), win this AFC Divisional Championship Game in a historic battle of revenge by the Dolphins 52-46! What an upset! Miami heads to their second straight AFC title game to face a fierce opponent! 16. LIONS BEAT PANTHERS IN A THRILLER 37-34 TO ADVANCE TO THE NFC DCG IN GREEN BAY BUT NOT WITHOUT CONTROVERSY! Detroit's Super back Dexter Bussey pushed the Carolina Panthers to their limit as he outplayed the defense in the Lions 37-34 NFC Wild Card Game victory over the Panthers to advance them to the NFC Divisional Championship Game against the ((6-1) Green Bay Packers! December 10, 2020. Detroit, Michigan. Christmas time is almost here, but in the pre-game talk, the game between the LIEFL NFC North Division second place Detroit Lions (5-2), and the NFC South Division Champion Carolina Panthers (4-3), has the making of a historic one from the start. Two epic teams on a collision course can only end in drama. We already have seen the two time defending LIEFL Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams upset by the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card Game, and that opened the floodgates in the search for a new Sheriff in town. The question is, who will it be? Detroit's Dexter Bussey is not your average electric football player. Anytime the legendary Bussey steps on the board, coaches show up to watch because he's magical! All leagues have a Bussey or two. He is one of the most exciting players in the Long Island Electric Football League. Bussey has been the catalyst to the Lions success and this year, Bussey's sporting his best season on record. This Hall of Fame caliber player has amassed 480 career carries for 10,816 yards, with 69 touchdowns in the LIEFL. For Bussey now, it is about the rings, not the stats! In electric football we never know when the durable plastic bottoms will fade, but Bussey's is 40 years old. Currently, Bussey ranks #3 in the LIEFL in kick returns with 20 carries for 1322 yards, with six touchdowns, but the big numbers are in All-Purpose yards for Bussey. He ranks #2 in the LIEFL with 55 carries for 1863 yards, with 16 touchdowns! In other words, he is consistent! Bussey also ranked #6 in NFC rushing with 34 carries for 471 yards, including nine touchdowns, so this guy can do it all! The Lions are no stranger to huge games, nor are the Panthers. These two high impact teams are explosive, and playing in a decent league equals a collision course to war! Too add to the excitement of the game is the colorful characters in the league who play the game. All season long we have presented a perception of Lions coach Johnny Freeport Chucker. The Chucker is the biggest non-stop trash talker in the league, but league coaches have not pushed their negative opinions onto his players. Dexter Bussey is the guy you want on your side in big games. He may not win them all, but he's bringing the draining anxiety, the cardiac care unit, and everything but the kitchen sink when he is on! These coaches respect talent, they just ignore the Chucker. After losing and losing in this league, Detroit came back strong since our first Long Island Electric Football League Draft and seven game season format, which began in 2008. Detroit has had four five-win seasons since then. In their first NFC Championship Game in 2008, Detroit lost to the New York Giants 45-38, but in their LIEFL Super Bowl XII, run season when they beat New England, 42-17 the Lions had to beat the defending NFC Champion New York Giants 31-24, to get there! Dexter Bussey will not let this team down, but the team may let Bussey down. The Lions had the #1 ranked offense in the NFC this season with 130 points, and on defense they ranked #10th. Lions Coach Johnny Freeport Chucker said, "Listen for years my team was in the doghouse, but no more. When you play me, be ready for the Lions Den! I don't care how good your team is, lets see you try to stop Dexter. I've seen all these coaches on You Tube videos, and they have nothing on me or my team. For years coaches in tournaments have trash talked me, and now I am getting revenge. McQueen is that good of a coach. Don't forget I won a Super Bowl with this team in 2016, so I have nothing to lose and I feel no pressure. If Bussey doesn't get the job done, good luck stopping my receivers." The Freeport Chucker is a never-ending trash-talker. He refuses to accept reality in many ways when it comes to electric football. Once a coach gets to this level, make room for the Big Boys, because the pressure is on, and the payday is on the line. This is the chance for the Chucker to make his move and get to Green Bay. Coach Viggs has asked to have his home team Packers be allowed to cover the field with flour. League Rules Commissioner Pete Porcelli said, "The league is considering a "snow covered" field for the game, but some coaches feel that if the Lions make it, it is coach Viggs strategy for the Packers to slow down Bussey. The league has never had a snow covered game, and I am turning to Billy O'C and Andy Slawson for input on a league vote, with majority rule in place. That will happen on Friday after this game." Coach McQueen is against it and the Chucker doesn't care. While the Chucker continues to bash everyone in the league with his talk, Coach Matt McQueen reserved his harsh opinions of Chucker and the Lions. He said, "This is a really exciting game. It could come down to special teams. That is where I feel Greg Jones will match Bussey. The Lions are a good team, but I think they are in for a surprise today because we will match their firepower. We are ready for the challenge. The only team that stopped us for two seasons are the Rams. Playing Detroit is our road to the Super Bowl because we don't think Green Bay will beat us should we advance to this weekend's NFC Championship Game." As game time approached, the two coaches shook hands, the player bases were dipped in water, the field was cleaned, and the opening kick off was at 6:00 on the nose! The opening kickoff in this intense rivalry saw Greg Jones explode on a 74 yard run! On first down, Carolina running back Deshaun Foster, ran for an 18 yard first down on the very first play. Then the Lions defense stopped the Panthers on the next set of downs, which set up a third down play as Panthers quarterback Ryan Tannenhill ran for seven yards to the one yard line! Then on the next play on fourth down, Foster stormed into the end zone for the first score of the game, to give the Panthers the 7-0 lead, with 7:01 left in the first quarter! Panthers 7 Lions 0 at 7:01 Lions running back Dexter Bussey wasted no time making a statement in this game. After a beautiful 58-yard kick return Bussey on the first play of the game from scrimmage ran 42 yards into the end zone to tie the score at 7-7, with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter! What a play by the All-Pro! Panthers 7 Lions 7 at 4:46 The Panthers roared right back as Greg Jones was hit head on at the 32-yard line hard by Bussey, helping his own team's cause. On first down, Foster exploded 43 yards to the 25-yard line of the Lions as the two minute warning sounded for the first quarter. After being stopped on the first two runs Foster and the Panthers had nowhere to go, forcing a third down pass play as the first quarter came to a close! Second quarter action: The Panthers will be forced to kick a field goal after the Lions stopped them on third down with a near sack! From 27 yards away Carolina made the field goal to give the Panthers the edge, 10-7, with 14:02 remaining in the half! Panthers 10 Lions 7 at 14:02 Bussey returned the ensuing kick return 45-yards, and then he rushed for two runs of 13 and 4 yards before being stopped on two straight plays. It was time for Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford to step up the Lions offense and on third down Stafford connected with Bussey for a 42-yard touchdown pass to give the Lions the lead 14-10, at 6:42 remaining in the half! Panthers 10 Lions 14 at 6:42 The excitement continued to build in the game as receiver Keary Colbert caught a quick 10-yard pass from Tannenhill to give Carolina the lead 17-14, after Greg Jones came up big on the kick return 89 yards with 3:06 remaining in the half, with the intensity building! Panthers 17 Lions 14 at 3:06 After a 35-yard kick return by Bussey and the Lions, the Panthers called a time out with 2:33 remaining in the half. The Lions ran one more play before the two minute warning went off and they were stopped after losing five yards on the next play. Stafford and the Lions put the ball up in the air as Calvin Johnson came down with the catch and took a 55-yard pass to the 15-yard line for the first down! The Freeport Chucker was on fire! On first down, Bussey ran to the line of scrimmage as Carolina defensive tackle Stan Mc Clover, an All-Pro in 2019, made the tackle. And, with 1:23 left in the half the Lions called a timeout which brought up a huge play on second down. In an unbelievable play, and the first play of its kind in the tournament Lions quarterback Matt Stafford ran a quarterback sneak from 15 yards away into the end zone to give Detroit the lead 21-17, with 1:06 remaining in the half, and a timeout was called by Carolina! The Freeport Chucker was going crazy shouting, "Booyah baby, all day long!" Panthers 17 Lions 21 at 1:06 To close the first half Greg Jones ran a beautiful 60 yard return, and once again Jones came up big in the playoffs, but it's not enough. The Panthers kicked a field goal, with no time left from 40 yards away to make the score 21-20, to end the first half! Panthers 20 Lions 21 END FIRST HALF Third quarter action: With the score 21-20 at the half, to begin the third quarter Dexter Bussey ran the ball 40 yards on the kick return. After a 40-yard run on first down, Carolina figured out Detroit stopping the Lions on two running plays in a row. On third down it was quarterback Matthew Stafford again who ran another quarterback sneak for seven yards, as he was tackled by linebacker Sam Mills, who was voted All-Pro this season. The play forced a fourth down field goal from 13 yards away to make the score 24-20 Lions, with 6:36 left in the third quarter! Panthers 20 Lions 24 at 6:36 The Panthers came storming right back as Carolina running back Greg Jones collided with Detroit linebacker William Gay at the 40 yard line. Two plays later DeShaun Foster took over with a beautiful 44-yard run down to the Lions 13-yard line as the two minute warning sounded in the third quarter. Carolina Coach McQueen has played spectacular today with his Panthers, and the Freeport Chucker had a look of concern on his face, but these two very intense coaches have not said two words the entire game to each other. It's just been a mental battle with two elite teams going at it as the third quarter quickly came to a close after two failed running attempts by Foster. Carolina was forced to pass! 4th quarter action Quarterback Ryan Tannehill took a quarterback sneak around the left side of the field, but he was hit hard by Bussey and the Panthers were cut short on third down, 13-yards shy of the first as they kicked a 17-yard field goal in a nail biter, with the Lions in the lead 24-23 with 14:25 remaining in the game! Panthers 23 Lions 24 at 14:25 In a huge head-on collision Foster collided with Bussey at the 40 yard line, on a huge stop, saving Bussey from scoring on a 100 yard touchdown! What a huge play! On first down, Bussey ran a 22 yard first down to the Carolina 38 yard line! On the very next play Bussey exploded into the end zone on a 38-yd electrifying touchdown to put the Lions up 31-23 in the big game, with 9:47 left to go in the game! Wow! Dexter Bussey is Dexter Bussey who just passed 159 yards rushing in the game! Panthers 23 Lions 31 at 9:49 Wow! Greg Jones and the Panthers answered right back as Jones just busted through the line for a hundred yard kick return, on a spectacular scorching run, bringing the Panthers within one point to tie the game. The Panthers decided to attempt a two-point conversion for the tie, with 8:42 left to go in the game. And the Panthers tied the game at 31-31 with 6:47 remaining, on a spectacular catch by Jeff King who broke away at the 2-yard line for the two-point conversion! Panthers 31 Lions 31 at 6:47 After a beautiful 50 yard kick return by Bussey, the Panthers stacked up on the Lions running game stopping them on the first two plays from scrimmage as the two minute warning sounded off, and the team switch sides for the last time in the game! On a beast of a play Lions receiver, Calvin Johnson took it 58 yards into the end zone on a cross pattern to give the Lions the lead 38-31, as Detroit decided to go for their own two-point conversion with just 1:11 left to go in the game as Carolina called a timeout! Oh my goodness!
