  1. Speaking of bases, I was surprised to discover that the Gotham bases actually run very well. And their “adjustment” method was to pivot the player on the single peg connector. This also works pretty well. But Tudor won the sales battle despite this. Tudors better size, sculpts, and of course NFL painted teams won the day. As Terry43 said, “So, I believe Shores and Garcia understood the style is what sold the car, not the engine.“
  2. I do use a coffee cup warmer. Heating seems to “set” the prongs and make the tweak last longer. It is very helpful is straightening those seemingly hopeless bases that arrive with prongs going in every other direction.
  3. I do this all the time and my older daughter’s also keep their eyes open for electric football stuff for me. Just last week I found this board. It had a white team, red team, and the Dallas Cowboys in dark uniform. The board l need to reglue. Anyone know the best glue to use? And had to repair two of the Cowboys figs.
  4. Yes. We use it for our TVEFL games so we don’t have to pass the controller back and forth. In the past we have “fumbled” the controller passing to the other coach and it crashed to the board ruining the current play.
  5. Here is a graphic showing the correct way to hook up two controllers and two motors for Tudor Ultimate board. i think Coach Kinchin put this out.
  6. I also have no intention of trying to place these players on one of my teams. Wanted them for the history/novelty. I think I now have Tudor figures from each era (actually I don’t have the very first ones made with metal bases).
  7. My daughter found a Tudor 500 field with the old Gorilla players. I have never had any of these figures before. They are indeed ugly. Most of the figures are broken, but I have 5 intact white figs and 4 intact yellow figs. The field is in great shape.
  8. Thanks for the response. So it looks like you should get to play at least 4 games.
  9. Could anyone clarify how many games you will get to play at a TOC tournament. is it single elimination? I am not on facebook so have no access to the folks there.
  10. This makes me want to play some college games. My college teams don’t get a lot of play as my solitaire league is pro-fantasy and my the TVEFL is NFL.
  11. Painted, numbered, and has face masks. He did not want names on jerseys, not sure why. only need to get his bases done. They look good just a little sloppy on the helmet stripes. I cannot do stripes.
  12. I enjoy reading the history of EF snd the parts and rules that are involved. “The Unforgettable Buzz” shared a great part of the development and manufacturing competition in EF but, You are able to complement this with your history of minute details of rule evolution and knowledge of the EF community. Maybe you could write your own book on EF history. Based on your posts I think it would be fantastic.
  13. I was reading thru the current TOC rules and was surprised to see that they are no longer using Buzzball measurements for their stick passing rules. In fact TOC uses measurements larger than the Tudor sticks. so small is now 2”. Medium is now 4”. Long is now 6”. The measure stick is now just 10”. so overall a large increase from the Buzzball sticks.
