  1. He has some wild teams. Also, I loved the SCPC . Itwas fun to participate. I believe my entry was my own fantasy NFL team, the Idaho Talons.
  2. I am adding it to mine as well. It is a common practice for me to use the defense to redirect my receivers pass routes but I don’t know if I have ever set up my own players to redirect a runner. It is a clever idea, especially when set up in such a concealed manner as your “Trap” play.
  3. Those are cool trees. Do you have an APP that makes those. I’m getting Deja Vous, have I asked you that before?
  4. It has been a while since I read thru the book. At the very end Greg does identify himself as the creator of the E8FL. (Bottom of Last page)
  5. I found this wonderful little PDF booklet a while ago but have no idea where I came across it. “Classic T Formation with a Man in Motion for Electric Football” by Greg Davis New searches have failed to locate it again. I also checked the NEFGM site and did not see it. I do not want it to disappear so I am putting it up here. Hope you all find it as interesting as I did. T-FormationElectricFootball.pdf
  6. I have never used freeze frames and have no bias one way or the other. One thought I have had is to wonder how much the frames increase the size of the figures “footprint” and thus, how much the defense is aided in making contact, AKA a tackle.
  7. I agree it is a nice piece of EF history.
  8. Does that motor weight pull down on the field in any significant way?
  9. Nice article. His figures look awesome. I have long intended to make my High School team but it is another one of those future projects I hope to complete someday.
  10. That is the team building process. In my solitaire league I create parity by giving the weaker teams more new bases next season. I enjoy watching a team develop over time .
  11. Is Boise state on the board? Can’t find it. my favorite College teams: 1. Boise State 2. Army 3. Iowa 4. Boston College
  12. My competition (TVEFL) games are 60 plays long. We have no restrictions on when you can take a knee. Taking a knee brings the game one play closer to ending the game. in my solitaire league you can only take a knee in the 4th Qtr if you are ahead and you have enough downs left to empty the play clock. Games are 40 plays long in my solitaire league.
  13. The possible contests are only limited by imagination. Why you could even borrow ideas from some of the game drills from the Madden games.
  14. Great idea! You could include a passing contest as well. Maybe even stick passing. This is really a cool idea. You could even change the specific contests each show. Kind of “Dude Perfect” challenge style. If I had the means I would totally try this, Maybe the guys at “Xtreme Tabletop Sports” will see this and give it a go.
  15. Just to clarify, I was in no way intending to be critical of you or your response to your purchase. Anytime someone spends good money they deserve to get a satisfactory result.
  16. It must have been a fluke. I have received many items from Bryan and never had any issues.
  17. I also have mine in the opposing endzone corners. Seems to work well and have not noticed a difference in vibration levels from one to the other.
  18. Oh dear. Just seeing this. It is funny - in a good way - how people you never meet can still add something to your own life. Whenever I saw his work in EF it always brought a smile to my face. EF is a simple insignificant game compared to the many “serious” endeavors we must face. But for those of us that love it it is an antidote for many ills. RIP Bill.
  19. LOL. I can see the runner stumbling after the collision, but then the runner regains his balance to the surprise of the defense who assumed the play was over. All the defense could do at that point was watch him stroll into the endzone.
  20. Very good explanation. At its simplest it just means the figure will reliably go the direction I expect it to go.
  21. I start by determining how many new bases each team can receive. Champion = 0 bases 2nd = 1 base 3rd and 4th = 2 bases 5th and 6th = 3 bases 7th and 8th = 4 bases 9th and 10th = 5 bases Then I begin with the last place team by tweeking new bases until I have five bases that are clearly an improvement on the current bases. Then go on to the next lowest team. I measure improvement by strength, speed, and arc of movement. strength must improve by at least two, meaning if I want to replace a lineman that ranks 8th i strength on the team then the new base must move him to at least 6th in strength. speed likewise must move up in speed although I don’t strictly stick to moving two ranks here. Arc of movement is mainly moving the wY I want reliable. so I tweek a lot of bases and run lots of tests for each team.
  22. Cool story. You have come up with an interesting way to reflect the QBs impact.
