  1. Awesome. It is great to see young people getting excited about Electric Football. I wish I could get my sons to play. But no luck there.
  2. This is post is random, but I watched a highlight video of SB III and the video showed the clock hit zero snd the referee fired a pistol in the air yo signal the end of the game. I got curious as to when this custom ended. from Wikipedia regarding the use of a pistol shot to signal the end of the game; “In the NFL this was first done in 1924, to avoid confusion with the whistles and air horns used for other signals; at the time the stadium clock did not show the official game time, which was kept by the officials on the field. The stadium clock later became the official game time and the NFL discontinued the gunshot in 1994. “
  3. Thanks for the probably undeserved complement. I say that as I am 61 and definitely not as alert as I once was but my rival in the TVEFL is a young 30 years old and is very sharp. I constantly have to innovate my game plans to stay ahead.
  4. Loved your story. This is a great hobby, welcome. As a young kid my switch stopped working for my field. I was devastated. But one day I was in the store with my mom and noticed that they sold switches. It had never occurred to me before that I could repair my EF field. I talked mom into buying the switch and by myself wired it into the EF cord. Pugged it in, flipped the switch and it worked!! (Cue the Hallelujah Chorus!). I was back in business!
  5. #88 can. I put him in for run plays to block or any time I need strength, but as you see in the video he is nearly as fast as #84. So both are legit receiver options.
  6. Yes you should paint more! Your painted teams always look great! This NY Titan team has become one of my favorite EF possessions.
  7. The 1961 New York Titans Bought this team from NEFGM. Great paint job. I added the decals and facemasks. #84 Art Powell TE (Starter) #88 Thurlow Cooper TE (Blocking TE) Run pretty good. Either one could start.
  8. I had planned to attend this year but the timing doesn’t work for me. My Father-In-Law is getting remarried and so I will be there. Best wishes for a great Con!
  9. I ran the stats for this one game. Union Jacks went 9-14 passing. RS was 2 for 2. RSP was 3 for 3. WS was 2 for 4 (one was intercepted). WSP was 2 for 2. BS was 0 for 1 (Interception). BSP was none tried. Talons went 3 for 4 passing. RS none tried. RSP none tried. WS was 2 for 2. WSP was 1 for 2. BS none tried. BSP none tried. This is just one game and were the two top teams for this season so not sure how good of a sample this is but it is a start.
  10. Last year I started recording the length of stick used on pass plays. Prior to that I just indicated that it was a pass. I will try to go through the season and check my stats. this is the first Quarter game record for my solitaire league Championship game. My shorthand method; play type/ yards gained or lost/ ball carrier or receiver/ # in triangle is defender that got pressure/ # in circle is defender making the tackle / TD if touchdown occurred / abbreviation of team on offense to show who has the ball. RS= red stick, BS = Blue Stick, WS= White Stick . add a P if pass was under pressure (ex: WSP = White Stick with Pressure) R4 is a run through the 4 hole. So R# is always a run with the target hole indicated.
  11. A lot of good observations already but here is my two cents. I believe the Kick returner was hung up on his blockers elbow and not the tackler’s base. As soon as he slips off that elbow he takes off skimming along the tackler base but in your rules that is not a tackle. So I say TD.
  12. Since my daughter is painting my 1923 Dayton Triangles I decided to paint my Chiefs team myself. it has been a struggle. Realized I missed filing down many seams, I painted shoes black and then remembered they wear white shoes so had to repaint that, and the red I used was to light so I had to darken. But I will persevere.
  13. I have to agree that those two hand painted teams are especially appealing. I am lucky to have picked up the dolphins in the dark jersey several years back. I have never had the Buccaneers dark jersey.
  14. saw This video and it is one of the best I have seen for actually throwing with your QB. He is using Next Level QB but I believe you could adapt this technic to most QBs.
  15. Yes I do have that team. Incidentally I do have several of the “playtime” teams. Maybe I will make them 1920’s also.
  16. My daughter will be painting my 1923 Dayton Triangles team soon. What I need to know is what color to use for the pants. It appears brownish?
  17. Hoping you all have an Electric Football Christmas! Since my birthday is a few days prior to Christmas I have already scored some EF goodness! • Enough ITZ leatherheads to finally make my Dayton Triangles team. •. Tudor Chiefs decals and facemasks to finally make my Superbowl 54 Chiefs. Hoping for more under the tree on Christmas! Santa I’ve been good! Anyway hope you all have a great holiday!
  18. What a wonderful illustration of how well bases might run on an electric board! I note that as the figure moved off the magnet it did not noticeable change speed.
  19. I wish I had seen that. Would have had it on my Christmas list. No mention of the magnetic option in the description though and I guess I never scrolled down far enough to the prices to see the option.
  20. I thought Tudor was going to start carrying the magnetic field covers? Is this still in the furure?
  21. Wow! He has covered every generation of EF figures as well as every generation of football uniforms! And then the painting on these figures is over and above. Oh how I wish I had this kind of skill. Just beautiful!
