  1. This is a part of the appeal. Using players from the past reminds me of those great players and their achievements. Sometimes you mention a player I had forgotten about and I am delighted to recall my memories of him.
  2. Great save! Looks like it should be sturdy.
  3. This has been a good thread with a good variety of ideas presented. Certainly some ideas would have a larger impact than others. Which adds a further development into the mix. That being The notion to give each team a “home field advantage” rule unique to that team.
  4. You have brought up some interesting takes on how “home advantage” can be simulated. I always enjoy hearing new ideas for electric football and often incorporate ideas into my own rules. You think “out of the box” and I hope you continue to share your thoughts. Your idea to give the home team the benefit of the doubt on those infuriating, close, hard to call plays is very intriguing.
  5. A lot of coaches, including myself, do this from the 5 yard line. It was nice to read your EF story and wonderful that you are back in the game. Best wishes to you.
  6. I use two motor hookup with Tudor’s motors. It works fine for me. By using two motors I do not have to have one motor turned up extra high. This helps avoid that high vibration spot near the motor and the dead spots away from the motor. I placed one motor in each endzone at opposite corners.
  7. IMG_2717.MOV Greenbay then rolls a run play up the middle on 3rd and 17. I thought to myself “good luck with that”. The MLB was set to drop back into pass coverage so that helped. With great blocking and good running they get into the endzone!

  10. The defense changes from a 3 man line to a 4 man line and it pays off with a tackle for a seven yd loss. IMG_2715.MOV IMG_2715.MOV

  12. Here is my Gotham Greenbay team making a drive against the Gotham Blue Bombers. They run great on Tudor’s Ultimate board. Kick off. IMG_2708.MOV IMG_2709.MOV
  13. Yes! It was part luck as the Chiefs just got lucky when bases were assigned to teams. They got great bases. At that time we knew nothing of tweaking nor did we order extra bases to switch for improved play. So the teams remained the same year after year. Also I was older and the age gap gave me a big advantage. After 8 seasons and 8 Magnabowl Championship s I had my Chiefs retire.
  14. Yes, thats it. I love the art style and everything else, and probably the nostalgia increases my fondness for it.
  15. I should have noted that the figure above is from Tudor’s model 500 from 1964. These figures came attached to their base. I have always loved the sideline view that represented the stands, but uniquely also showed the team benches full of players. Really wish I still had that.
  16. When we started out on our Electric Football journey we created and gathered together many items to aid in this pursuit. Some of what we did is now laughable compared to what is now available. But those old items still hold a special place in our memories and we consider them treasured relics. If you have such items please post pics to share your experience. I will start with my only surviving EF figure from my first Tudor field. It probably was my dad’s field but he allowed a very young me to play with it and thus it did not survive long. Next is my homemade Championship trophy used in the “Magna Bowl” between my brother and myself.
  17. The 10 yard marker with down indicator has always impressed me with its simple practicality. That scoreboard is impressive as well. I like that it has a “play” clock using 15 plays per quarter.
  18. Looking back through my old Electric Football papers I found the rules my brother and I wrote for our Championship game. I had to laugh when I read section four regarding when and why time stoppages were allowed. I added the yellow arrow and under lined the funny part.
  19. An incomplete pass leaves the Lions with time for just one more play. From the five yard line the Lions try a run through the #3 hole. It looks like the RB will make it perfectly following his blocker but the UJ LB comes in and stops the momentum and the D-lineman makes the tackle to preserve the Union Jacks win! FullSizeRender.mov
  20. The Lions need to score but luck gives them three run plays in a row. Now with 4th down and 2 1/2 yards for a first down they again get a run play, but Barry Sanders comes through big. FullSizeRender.mov
  21. The UJ then drive 76 yards to score again and take the lead 12 to 6 at the start of the 4th QTR. This was a White pressure stick pass. IMG_2597.MOV
