  1. Kit, I do believe that if a person is physically able to use a TTQB passer / kicker they should practice and work on developing the necessary skills to become proficient with them. Alternate methods of passing and kicking were primarily developed to help coaches with physical handicaps to be able to include passing and kicking in their game play rather than just always having to run the ball or "go for it" on fourth down. In the Music City EFL, right now, we have one coach who suffered a stroke last year and is recovering but does not have the use of his left arm. He uses passing sticks for passing and rolls dice for field goal attempts and is the number one seed in our upcoming playoff tournament. He also plays in the Deep South MFL. With out these alternative methods of passing and kicking, he would not be able to compete in these higher levels of competition. TOEPRO is a very good representation of how to play electric football using the rules of the NFL to simulate games. But there are also many other ways to play and enjoy the game.
  2. Enjoy this download of the 2012 Premier Issue of "Solitaire Illustrated" from the Archives of the NEFGM Library. 1.-si-volume-1-issue-1-premiere-issue-2012-copy-copy.pdf (wordpress.com)

  4. Really helps to have an "understanding spousal unit" Definitely could not have been doing what I have been doing with electric football for the past 23 years if my wife did not understand and accept my love and passion for the game. We have been married for 20 1/2 years and she has accompanied me to many of the Miggle Conventions and other tournaments that I have attended. She has always been very supportive of everything I do with electric football, especially now, since I am converting our bonus room to The National ELECTRIC FOOTBALL Game Museum and the two upstairs bedrooms to a "media library / office/ archives storage" for the museum.
  5. Nice to see your collection. I have all except the New Ultimate Board. A bit too expensive for me now that I am retired. In over 20 years of collecting I have in excess of 50 game boards. Really only look for the really rare ones anymore for the museum collection. Eventually I will probably get one though. I have my Custom Build 30" x 60" game board (24 1/4" x 53 1/2" playing field) w/table legs to satisfy my BIG BOARD game needs now. Miggle Toys/Tudor made a Table model 2' x 4' also with a price point of $489.95 Introduced in November of 2000. I have a friend that has one. It is really nice. Don't think they sold too many though.
  6. Walt, I agree decals look much better for helmet details, but I just prefer the "Classic Tudor Look". I am just "Old School" like that (or more probable, just to cheap to buy decals, LOL!!).
  7. Yeah, I prefer the metal fields also. Was not a fan of the PVC when they first came out. But that was kind of the trend at the time. I think David Roller designed the new game boards for Tudor when Doug Strohm took over Tudor Games. His Rollerboards, with PVC playing surfaces, were gaining wide popularity among the custom board builders at the time. David works for Tudor in Development, still now, I believe. The boards I am choosing to play games on in this solitaire league are from my personal collection of game boards. For the most part this is the first time I have even unpacked some of these gameboards and attempted to play on them. Wasn't sure they were in working condition. SO FAR, I have been very pleased with the way each of these boards have performed. They have produced some very exciting game play action and results.
  8. Yeah, the 2' x 4' size is what is most commonly used in high level competition now. Tudor hit it on this one coming up with the Ultimate Field game boards.
  9. I think I will play Week 5 games on this more modern Tudor Games PVC Gameboard. I purchased this game board at a liquidation outlet a couple of years ago. It is a 2014 model# 9081. First time fully unboxing and setting up. Seems to be in really good condition and working order. MAH00982.MP4
  10. The cards only provide a distance and placement on the field for Kickoffs, Onside Kicks, Punts and Punts from Inside midfield. I also use them to get Field Goal Attempt results and PAT results. I set up kickoff and punt returns much as you do but have the receivers actually run to the ball to make the catch and then adjust and pivot all remaining players to block for the return and cover the return. This system works for me and is very entertaining and adds the excitement of kickoff and punt returns to my solitaire game play action. I plan on making some videos of how to use them in the future. But they are not for everyone and I never try advocate this system over another. Playing the game of electric football for me is just about having fun and playing the game. There is no right or wrong way to play it. The main thing about playing in a league or with a group of fiends is to find a way to play it that everyone can agree on and enjoy the fun and fellowship.
  11. The AFL and NFL lineup of teams available in 1969 and a 22 player team of original uniform 1960/61 Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders in white and dark jerseys. Used Tudor Haiti Repro white (HT-11-W) figures to create these.
  12. I use "The Kicking Game" kick placement cards for all my Kicking and Punting. Innovations of the Game – The National Electric Football Game Museum (nefgm.org)
  13. Yep!!. Single wing offenses often use right and left unbalanced line formations. I have used them in my Solitaire play. There is also an offensive attack called the A11. There was once a professional football league proposed around using this offense. Attached is a guide on this offensive system. a11flfanguide2014-7193.pdf

  15. Adding baby oil to boiling water. It alters the chemical composition of the plastic the base is made of. Banned by most leagues and tournaments. I would not recommend doing this at all!!! it is a quick way to remove flash but the base retains the oil for a very long time and you still have to tweak the prongs. The reason they were banned is they would leave an oily residue on game boards. I have some examples given me by a coach from California over 20 years ago. Vince Petros was the master of this technique. Pic is some examples of boiled bases next to some regular tweaked bases.
  16. Yes, I have a Canadian Edition Munro Electric Football game board and a custom built 30" x 60" table with a Canadian Playing Field. I love watching the CFL play and plan on going to a game in Canada someday.
