  2. Hi Coach DimeGuy. So I think I've figured out the top row, left to right. Ohio State away โ€” Ohio State home โ€” LSU away Second row, left to right University of Michigan home โ€” University of Michigan away โ€” Georgia Home Third row, left to right ? โ€” ? โ€” Georgia away How'd I do? Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  3. Posted just now Thank you, thank you. I've been sitting in Wyoming thinking these same thoughts for two years now. You wasted $35. . I've wasted over a $1000. because I thought there was something wrong with my tweaking technique. Been there. Did that. I have four teams that ride ITZ bases and you've given me the strength to throw them way. Thank you so much. ITZ bases aren't strong they simply have a high coefficient of friction. The Starter bases are the worst. Once again, Thank you. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ

  5. I like the penalty idea! How do the coaches do recruiting? For me recruiting is a visit to the Tudor web page, or the ITZ page, or most likely eBay to buy new bases and players. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  6. Exactly. The player / base combination has a personality, not like people have personality, but characteristics that make the game more enjoyable. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  7. Hi Coach Jayethekxng and welcome to Tudor's Forum. Nine teams is great! I have 21 teams. In your league how do coaches on the sideline interact with players on the field to make the game more interesting? I've thought about using a dice throw that provides inspiration points that can be used at key moments in the game but I've never implemented the idea. I agree with Coach Shawn, beautiful pass. 8. Higher. Weight X Speed = momentum. Speed is capped by the motion generator so to get more momentum a coach needs more weight. Remember this thought problem from Drivers' Education Class? Little plastic Peep A weighs 10 grams and is moving at 10 mph. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Little plastic Peep B weighs 11 grams and is moving at 10 mph. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Which one hits harder, Peep A or Peep B? ๐Ÿค” Increase momentum and decrease friction, and then Enjoy in the Journey. 9. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is a slogan popularised by Karl Marx in 1875. The pieces aren't exactly the same. Some little plastic peeps need more weight than others. 1 screw, 1 washer, and 1 nut isn't enough. You have to add that second washer. Maybe even a third washer, but I'm pushing the limits of Theater of the Mind. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now I realize some coaches might consider that nut sticking up above the platform to be detrimental to the ambience of electric football, ๐Ÿ˜œ but the added performance is well worth the distraction. I don't even notice the little nuts. ๐Ÿ”ฉ To quote another of my favorite authors, "The Play's the Thing." ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  10. Round-Front vs Flat-Front blocking. Back on July 20, 2023 Coach Collins asked a question very similar question to Coach BlueHen's question. I created a video for Coach Collins to illustrate my blocking schemes. Round-frontvsFlat-frontbases-SD480p.mov.2c64c74dc2b6cf4878b7c8b759e8ed40.mov My bottom line is that I don't see much difference between the blocking, or attack, of round-front bases and flat-front bases. There is a misconception that a flat-front is akin to a snow plow on the base. This is obviously true on big snow plow trucks but electric football peeps are moving up and down (vibration) and only forward as a byproduct of vibration. The poor little peeps are bouncing into each other and then bouncing left and right helter skelter. In the videos plastic peeps consistently reach a stalemate and then one player turns sideways and pushes the whole jumbled mess in that direction. I would encourage every coach to attempt the same experiments and post their results. There is definitely a difference from one player to another and not all offensive lineman are good at every type of blocking scheme. A powerful left tackle (as illustrated in the first two video clips) is essential. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ Edited July 20, 2023 by Terry43
  11. Looks like lightning struck twice. I grabbed this picture from the beginning of the Playoffs when the Jets played the Dolphins. Was #11 the MVP of the Haiti Bowl? Of the Playoffs? Thank you. Enjoyed your Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  12. Agreed as long as the coach is playing solitaire. In tournament play there has to be mutually agreed upon rules otherwise it really isn't fair. Perhaps there could be a Bantamweight division (under 4 grams), Featherweight Division (4 to 6 grams), Welterweight Division (7 to 9 grams) , and a Heavyweight Division (over 9 grams). Tournaments could crown four champions. However, I doubt there are enough EF hobbyists to make that sustainable. Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  13. Excellent start! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ I have a similar memory. Great story! Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  14. Very fast and very straight! I'm impressed. Are they as strong as they are fast? Can they seal the edge? Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  15. I play music also... Heavy Metal Music. Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Man-O-War, Five Finger Deathpunch, Heart, Spinal Tap, Disturbed... Soundtrack to my life and my Heavy Metal Electric Football League. ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽค ๐ŸŽธ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Nothing gets me in the mood to play electric football like a screaming guitar. ๐ŸŽธ I always suppress the sound track on my video clips ๐Ÿ“น so you don't have to worry about your ears ๐Ÿ‘‚ bleeding. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  16. Hi Coach Collins, These are Bryan's videos of his solitaire league play. https://youtu.be/tkflz9_auWY?si=PaFjvU5wohQ87_uM I'm only familiar with the TAP rules by reading them and from what I've read these Bryan Nutt videos seem very close. All three videos are about 30 minutes long which seems about right for tournament play. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  17. Absolutely, Coach Davis. That do-or-die feeling commands my complete attention. That's why I transitioned from the classic 8-game Season structure to the double elimination tournament. Losing the first game is okay. As the coach that first loss helps me figure out the weak spots, bring up players from the practice team, and do some additional tweaking. However, I (as the coach) can't afford a second loss. The pressure is on to win. The 3-game season is an excellent way to make the game much more fun. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  18. LOL ๐Ÿคฃ The Deion Sanders GIFs are a riot. ๐Ÿคฃ Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  19. Icing the Kicker... I must admit my little plastic peeps do get nervous... I encourage them to go behind the bleachers and do whatever they need to do... EFHero supplemental rule... I think this is just dandy. I believe we could make it a bit more complex by adding a dice throw (d20) to account for wind velocity and soggy field conditions (Field Goal kicking is on Page 40). So, to attempt the Field Goal there's 1. the initial roll of the dice to discover if the kick is long enough, 2. and then we roll for the Wind Velocity. Anything over 16 is Gale Force and the kick is missed, Except if the kicker is a franchise player then the Gale Force number is 18. ๐Ÿ˜‰ 3. We should take into account the soggy field with another roll of the d20 dice. Anything over 16 is totally swampy and the kick is missed except if the kicker is a franchise kicker then the soggy field number is 18. ๐Ÿ˜‰ That's a bit too realistic for me, but I understand that many coaches enjoy that level of realism. I don't have timeouts. If I need to think about my next action I simply stop and think about it. If I decide to go for the Field Goal then I roll the dice. Here are my rules. The rules are in the Terry43 Forum profile. A D6 determines the first number (2 โ€”6). A D10 determines the second number (0โ€”9). The yardage is measured from the line of scrimmage. For a Field Goal to be good the yardage rolled must be longer than the actual yards of the Field Goal attempt. If the yards rolled are less than the actual yards of the Field Goal attempt then the Field Goal was missed. A missed field goal may be returned by the defense. In effect, every Field Goal attempt is either good, or blocked. I thought you'd like to know that all my little plastic peeps are never selfish, never controversial, and they never participate in shenanigans. They have been known to misunderstand the play and run in the wrong direction. ๐Ÿคช Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  20. Hi Chris. I see you thought of a way to get me to Tudor Con: Guest Speaker. The program abstract might look like this: The Physics of Electric Football, A thoroughly stimulating exploration of energy transfer through continuous vibration. 2 hours. FREE. Participants will have opportunities for hands-on exploration of adding weight mechanically, coping with friction, and discussion of common misunderstandings about weight and strength. ๐Ÿซข Several of the misunderstandings were in Anthony D. Burgess' post 1. Why? I don't even see the nut on the platform anymore. Looks natural. 2. It's math, (Momentum = mass X speed), not art. The amount of weight plastic prongs can support is also a real number. 3. Does it seem like I'm guarding a secret? Thanks for reposting the Facebook post. I'm grateful for the opportunity to react to the post, but I haven't changed my mind about not joining Facebook. When 2021 the last Bamma Blast? I found this photo montage and I believe you're in it. https://youtu.be/UJ0x2hI45ME?si=fIrtJE57lOfmF5mO Enjoy the Journey. T43.
  21. Lester the Molester! In high school I wanted to be that guy. All of us in the secondary started dangling our arms like Lester. I just love it when that happens! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Coach Davis, I've lost track of where you are in your season or playoffs. How many teams are in your league? Just curious. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  22. Mea Culpa! ๐Ÿ˜ช Part of looking great leading to playing great is hair regrowth. Heck, with a Deion Sanders' Hair Transplant I might never lose another EF Game. LOL Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  23. I'm going to pick the Jets. I appreciate when an offensive line gets good downfield push, open a hole, and the running back (#28) hits the hole like a rocket sled on wheels. That's what I see here: I know the Cardinals won the NFL championship on a 75 yard run, but I don't see offensive line movement for the Cardinals like I see for the Jets. Maybe the Cardinals depend on their defense a bit too much. Just speculating before the big game! Thanks for the pictures.๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  24. I can see that consistently working. Every now and again we have to intervene on behalf of our little plastic peeps. Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  25. Coach Collins, I noticed the number 43 in the second picture. Uncanny isn't it? Is that an Alabama Jersey? In a previous post I remembered the jersey number to be 19. Oh man, high school was a very long time ago. T.T. Editor stands for Trojan Times Editor. I was the editor of the high school newspaper. I haven't found any pictures of my original electric football field. However, after my wife and I graduated from college my dear sweet wife got me back in the hobby. Christmas 1982. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
