  2. I don't name my Little Plastic Peeps, and I'm not sure why Coach Shawn and Coach Collins wouldn't name one of their little Plastic Peeps OJ Simpson, but IF I was inclined to name a Little Plastic Peep I would use OJ Simpson's name. I copied this from a Fox News story: "The Bills drafted Simpson as the first overall pick in 1969, a year after he won the Heisman Trophy while playing at USC. He would go on to be League MVP in 1973, and was the league leader in rushing yards multiple times in the 1970s. Simpson played 11 NFL seasons β€” nine with the Bills, where he became known as β€œThe Juice” with an offensive line known as β€œThe Electric Company,” and two with the San Francisco 49ers. He won four NFL rushing titles, rushed for 11,236 yards in his career, scored 76 touchdowns and played in five Pro Bowls. He was later inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. When he retired, Simpson held (or shared) the record for seven different stats, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At the time of his death, the 76-year-old still held a few of them. During the 14-game 1973 season, Simpson became the first back in the NFL to rush for over 2,000 yards β€” specifically, he recorded 2,003 yards thanks to a 200-yard game in the last game of the season, according to the Bills. That’s the most of any Bills player on record. In that same season, Simpson recorded an average of 143.1 yards rushing per game, a record that still holds today. Among modern-day players, only Adrian Peterson and Derrick Henry have come close, recording 131.1 yards in 2012, and 126.7 yards in 2020, respectively. Simpson shares another record with Peterson and Henry: the most games with 200 yards or more rushing. All three have recorded six games, but, with Henry still in the league, we could soon see Simpson fall from the top of that podium. Henry is also one big game away from toppling another Simpson record: the most games with 250 yards or more rushing. Simpson has two β€” a 250-yard game against the New England Patriots in 1973, and a 273-yard game against the Detroit Lions in 1976. In both seasons, Simpson twice had consecutive games in which he surpassed 200 yards rushing, more than any other back has recorded thus far. β€œI was part of the history of the game,” Simpson said years after his career ended. β€œIf I did nothing else in my life, I’d made my mark.” Amen. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  3. I used the past tense... ... because I don't use bumpers anymore. I've posted a video on the Forum where I demonstrate that the shape of the front of the base doesn't make a difference in blocking. In my experience β€” for receivers β€” the 'bounce' makes the difference, not the shape. The 'bounce' is when two bases collide they 'bounce' either to the left or to the right. A very strong player causes a very weak player to bounce backwards either to the left or to the right. Therefore, receivers should be very strong so that when the bounce occurs β€” either to the left or to the right β€” the receiver pushes past the front corner of the defender's base. A very soft base absorbs the impact kind of like the air bag in a car collision. As you think about electric football remember the little plastic peeps are bouncing up and down and leaning forward. Vibrating resembles running but the physics are different. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  4. It's an excellent idea Jayethekxing. ITZ makes a variety of bumpers for their bases. https://www.itzbases.com From the ITZ webpage: "These bumpers will fit all the rest of our ITZ Bases Championship Level 2 (CL-2) bases Blitz Bases Hitz Bases Starter Bases New Arrow and Offset Bumpers – 6 Pack Black Mint Green Arrow and Offset Bumpers – 6 Pack New GREEN Concave and Round Bumpers – 6 Pack New GREEN Arrow and Offset Bumpers – 6 Pack New Concave and Round Bumpers – Black 6 Pack" Coach Shawn uses putty to attach his bumpers. I used E-6000 to attach my bumpers. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  5. Oh dear. 😱 No way out of this one. πŸ”š I accept there is no redemption for all the football fields, bases, and little plastic players I've... Dare I say it... Expunged. ☠️ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  6. Excellent list Coach Shawn. I keep statistics on defense in the following categories (which are very similar to yours) Tackles β€” one player, one game Tackles β€” one player, one season Tackles β€” one player, more than 10 games Tackles for lost yards β€” one player, one game Tackles for lost yards β€” one player, one season Tackles for lost yards β€” one player, more than 10 games Sacs β€” one player, one game Sacs β€” one player, one season Sacs β€” one player, more than 10 games Blown Coverage β€” one player, one game Blown Coverage β€” one player, one season Blown Coverage β€” one player, more than 10 games Enjoy the Journey. 7. Some of the Miggle football fields came out of the factory good. Some came out really bad. I bought two at Target and ended up pitching both in the dumpster. Very loud and I think the metal was very, very thin. Jiggled horribly. From my experience I would urge caution. Chris at the museum might have some pertinent thoughts on the Miggle fields that are in his collection. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  8. Let's make Gervan the letter G. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ And Brents the letter H. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ I still prefer F for Offensive MVP, but my league MVP has to be H . Defense wins championships. πŸ† Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  9. My vote is for F. The little plastic peep has over 300 yards in every category. Over 900 all-purpose yards. He's contributing in every aspect of the game and he has lifted his team into the playoffs. Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  10. I do something like this every spring. I start with eight high school teams (23 players on a team) that have received minimal tweaking (184 total players). Only the best high school players advance to four college teams (23 players on a team for a total of 92 players). The 46 players on the two college teams that play for the national championship are the only players in the draft. I have 21 teams in my League and I usually have only two draft rounds. The remaining 4 players sit in a box and hope the rookies fail. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  11. On the menu at the top of the page select TUDOR SITE. Then on the Tudor webpage select Customize. >> Field Covers There are three options. NFL Field Covers, College Field Covers, and Custom Field Covers. You could scrub the whole surface until it looks like a Snow Field. Or a baseball diamond. Or scrub the whole surface really well and make your own custom field. Maybe the profile of a '57 Chevy, or the NY Skyline, or a Royal Flush in poker. The future is opening up before you. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  12. If this is for League MVP shouldn't there be a defensive player or two in contention? Any Ray Lewis or Mean Joe Green or Troy Polamalu players with 15 or more solo tackles? Somebody from that suffocating Colts defense must be having an MVP year. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  13. Not to worry. I had the enjoyment of the artistic journey. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ 300 isn't thoughtful like the movies Love Actually, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Remember the Titans , but it has an extreme heroic, wise-cracking feel that I enjoy. Kind of like Schwarzenegger's first Conan movie. "No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important!" Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  14. I guess any day is a great day to play electric football but some days are extra special. Enjoy the Journey T43 β„οΈβ„οΈβš‘πŸˆ
  15. Here's a video of my Peel and Stick Vinyl field cover. Different Ultimate board but the same two motion generators. 100_4153.mov No difference as far as I can tell. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  16. I recommend the, "peel and stick vinyl." My experience with the peel and stick vinyl has been excellent. The problem I'm having with the magnetic field cover is illustrated in the following two videos. The first video is my straight-from-the-factory Ultimate field with two Tudor motion generators. The little plastic peep is #46 my MVP of my Fruit Bowl. 100_4151.mov Here is #46 on the 300 magnetic field cover on top of my Ultimate field. 100_4149.mov The 300 magnetic field cover muffles the Buzzzzz of the motion generators (which some long-suffering loved-ones might appreciate) but it also affects the speed and straightness of #46. It's worth noting that the first video takes only 10 seconds for the 100 yard dash. The second video takes about 4 seconds just to reach the 25 yard line. I tried five of my best Kickoff Returners on the 300 magnetic field cover and the results were similar. The little plastic peeps moved about half-as-fast and turned rather than running straight. So now I'm thinking I won't use my 300 magnetic field cover for the remainder of my games. Tudor states this on their webpage, "Why use a Field Cover? Field Covers are great for two reasons. First, they deliver an authentic NCAA experience. You'll feel like you're playing on the real college field! And second, they often improve the performance of your board ...Also suitable for framing." I think I will frame mine. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  17. I ran into a bit of a puzzler. πŸ€” The magnetic field cover is acting like a damper. The players are running a lot slower. I'm still planning to play my next game on the 300 field cover. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  18. I wanted to try the magnetic field covers β€” but I didn't really want an NFL or college field cover β€” so I set about customizing a Michigan State Spartans magnetic field cover. 300 is one of my favorite comic books (Frank Miller) and movies (Zach Snyder). So I decided to use the art work from both to create my custom magnetic field cover. My first step was to scrub away SPARTANS from both End Zone. I used a regular wet, dishwashing sponge. The Tudor ink, or Tudor acrylic paint, or whatever it is, came off very easily. Too easy actually. I suspect it will be susceptible to scratching. Then I wiped away the debris with just a paper towel. In about the length of time it takes to have a molar pulled and a titanium implant screwed into my jaw, the End Zone was mostly white. Yes, I know from experience. Tuesday was NO FUN. I masked off the End Zone and splattered it with Liquitex acrylic ink like the Movie Poster for the movie the 300. I created a stencil for the 300 and used a red Sharpie to write 300 on the magnetic vinyl. I thought it came out okay. Then it was time to do the other End Zone. I chose those wonderful words from King Leonidas as he is kicking the Persian Messenger into the well. Just like that I have my custom magnetic field cover. This is kind of the 'Chicken or Egg' question. Which came first the 300 electric football field or the team called the 300? For right now there isn't an 300 electric football team but I'm sure I can remedy that. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ I will play out the remainder of my 2024 Draft games on the 300 field. Enjoy the Journey. 19. Excellent paint and decal work. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ How do you keep the bumpers on the ITZ bases. I use glue. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  20. I believe all these bases have strengths and weaknesses and the key is too get the best base for the position. Enjoy the Journey. T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  21. Was the purple wet when you applied the white? If yes then I would guess that is the problem. If no, then I would guess the white paint was too thin. A vigorous shaking may help the white paint hold its shape. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  22. And heavier. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  23. I'm ahead of the Kick Off curve in my league. If you watch some of my videos from 2023 you will see that my kicker lines up on the 35 yard line (like the new rule). βœ… I line up my 10 kicking team players on the receiving team 20 yard line. I line up my 9 receiving team players on the receiving team 10 yard line. I keep 2 kick returners back and I alternate the kick receiver. βœ… None of the players move until the kick returner catches the ball. βœ… Works great for me. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ P.S. I can provide statistics from last season if there's interest.
  24. Thanks NO Dave for the clarification and thank you for being a Forum Moderator. πŸ˜ΊπŸ‘ Somebody has to herd the cats. πŸˆπŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆ Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  25. Hi NO Dave. Are you refereeing at TudorCon24 this year? Do you mean the Bengals are painted and have decals and the Bengals pictured are not Uni-Forms? Or did you mean that you believe the Bengals are painted with decals and I should refrain from Uni-Form comments in any place except Uni-forms? That said, I also mentioned bases. Does that mean you will move my comment about bases out of Figure Painting and Detailing and into Bases and Invisibles? Should I refrain from mentioning bases in any place except Bases and Invisibases? I'm just looking for clarification of this Posting Rule: I didn't intend to hijack the subject. My comments just kind of flowed from what I saw in the pictures. Thank you. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
