Passing of another legend

Recommended Posts

Oh dear.  Just seeing this.
It is funny - in a good way - how people you never meet can still add something to your own life.
Whenever I saw his work in EF it always brought a smile to my face.

EF is a simple insignificant game compared to the many “serious” endeavors we must face.  But for those of us that love it it is an antidote for many ills.

RIP Bill.

Just saw this and am shocked!!   Bill was a Master at his craft and surely gave us the thrills of the 71 Vibe.  Being a lifelong Giants Fan he gave me great joy as without even seeing the Jersey Names, picked out my favorite players from the 71 Giants and relived those Thrilling Games of Yesteryear!!  Farewell Bill Moreno, you are surely missed!

I did not know Bill Moreno, but sure wish I had! That book VIBELOG 1971 is amazing and the photos are spectacular! Just so happens that 1971 was the last full solitaire season I ever completed. I can relate to 1971 big time. I really want to meet Bill in the next life, but until then I'm going to enjoy the great contributions he made to this hobby. Bill if you can read these posts from where you are, and I do believe you can, you did a fantastic job! Thanks for all you did for this wonderful hobby! 🙂

Well, I did have the oppotunity to meet Bill in person. In addition to electric football, Bill was very active in the Historical War Gaming Society. A couple of years ago, he was in Nashville at one of their conventions. So I got to meet and talk with him for a while. Yes a very interesting and awesome individual. He put together a video presentation for the Museum's "Art of the Buzz" on a CD which played throughout the duration of the exhibit, which is now in the permanent collection of the Museum. I did go through his Facebook page and archive all the files and photos from it, which I have saved to CD's.
