  1. I did not know Bill Moreno, but sure wish I had! That book VIBELOG 1971 is amazing and the photos are spectacular! Just so happens that 1971 was the last full solitaire season I ever completed. I can relate to 1971 big time. I really want to meet Bill in the next life, but until then I'm going to enjoy the great contributions he made to this hobby. Bill if you can read these posts from where you are, and I do believe you can, you did a fantastic job! Thanks for all you did for this wonderful hobby! 🙂
  2. Agreed with all posted...spectacular job by all the Strohm's in running Tudor Games over the years. I just bought a custom Ultimate game board right during the "transition" about which I will post pics in the proper thread soon. It is amazing! I may be able to lay claim to the first and perhaps only Strohm-Nutt purchase! LOL. Could be wrong on that, but it would be something unique to remember for years to come.
  3. OK, since I'm getting back into painting for the first time since 2006, I'll ease into it with some easy stuff. These guys are heading for skin tone changes. I decided to go with the 2003 Carolina Panthers team (their 1st Super Bowl in RL). Once the paint dries, I'll base them up and get ready to play a game (after attempting to tweak bases too, I might add). Dang it, what's with these pics turning sideways all the time? 😞 I even used the editor here and rotated it, but no...it won't let me save it. What the @#!%?!!
  4. Making EF history again! Liking me some stick-on numbers right now as I ease back into the hobby. Sure, water slides are still my favs...but these work for speed, convenience and they do look snappy indeed. I have discovered that my huge gorilla fingers are far too fat to get into certain areas on certain figures, like the front of a guard, for example. So, I couldn't find my tweezers while numbering my new Carolina Panthers. For the first time ever, I let an EF player help me out! Yes, a running back lent me a helping hand to line up the jersey number on a player! Worked well. First time in my life I've gotten an EF player involved in numbering players! LOL *(don't know why this pic posted sideways, it looked fine on my computer. I also saved a smaller version, but it still turned out HUGE on this post.)
  5. Me too on this list. Here's pic of a happy grampy just days ago as I received my new Carolina Panters, and I just happened to be wearing my Panthers hat when I went to the mailbox to pick them up, not knowing they were here yet. I'm in sync with the universe! 🙂 I still get the same thrill I did as a kid in the late 60s when my first team order arrived! It just don't get old. I need to learn these plastic players' secret. Many players are almost the same age as I am, yet they still look just the same as they did decades ago. Somehow, I can't say the same for me! Must be the diet they are on!
  6. Personally, I loved the pearl white I used on the pants to make them pop. Seeing them in person makes a difference. Not sure the photos really pick it up.
  7. Thanks Bob and Greg! Now I remember why it took me nine kinds of forever to paint this team. I hand painted the helmet logos and pants stripes which are detailed and tedious to say the least. Now the mystery is solved, Mr. RavennaAl (he always wondered when I would finish painting them since it was taking me months on end)! Now that I'm painting me a team for my league (I gave the original Fire Lizards to Al Dunham), I can't see these days like I did back then, so I'm going to "cheat" and use decals for the helmets and pants stripes this time!
  8. Great! Thanks Chris! 🙂
  9. Well now, those do look snappy! Guess I'll have to keep an open mind. I was just trying to mimic the "NFL Quality" look for my helmet. I'll keep all avenues open. Thanks Terry!
  10. Speaking of decals, I'll need a whole different kind of decal for my Swamp Moose mini helmet I'm making! These would be the same decals the NFL actually uses (as far as the material goes). Anyone know how I can get a decal made for a mini-helmet? These are definitly NOT waterslide decals!
  11. BATON ROUGE SWAMP MOOSE The flagship team of the UNREAL league (of course the Moon Sharks are protesting since they were the first to be sold by Miggle and Tudor Games!) OMG! Why are all these pictures the size of billboards? What a space hog (new team? LOL) these are. This is way bigger than they were in my cellphone! I need to chop these gargantuan photos down to size somehow before I crash the Tudor site! My bad...what a data porker I am! I'll figure it out somehow and clear some space on the servers so other people can post things! To quote Bugs Bunny "What a maroon!"
