  1. This is not a criticism. This is a plea, really. I understand that a lot of coaches use Facebook. I do not due to the potential to innocently post something my employer finds objectionable and therefore a terminable offense. That being said, I find it curious that on Tudor’s own Forum, on one of the most important events of the year….crickets. I go on YouTube to watch videos. There hasn’t been a new video post on YouTube since the TAP rules were introduced. I’ve only watched those 12 times apiece. I can quote dialogue. I don’t want to seem like the old man yelling at the clouds, but I seriously hope Tudor will throw a bone here. I realize that maybe it’s like trying to find a good VHS player to play my movies when everyone else is streaming content, and I feel like a doofus hoping some other coach will post something about the weekend. Old school. Out of touch. Maybe. But this whole hobby is made up of coaches trying to keep an old school hobby relevant and viable in the 21st century. Thank you for the time to vent. Plead. I hope I have not wasted your time. Jpurney On!
  2. So. What do you do when you can’t make the Con? You put together home and away Cincinnati Bengals Uni-Forms teams and start the Monday Night Football Tournament III, that’s what. First up are the Green Bay Packers in their away Uni-Forms and the Detroit Lions in the all gray Color Rush. Late in the first half it’s Packers 21 Lions 20. Big plays all around, as the Packers are riding a stellar Farvre passing performance and the Lions are exhibiting a devastating run attack. Should be a real barn burner down the stretch! Journey On!
  3. We’re going to be alright. Thanks for the kind words! Love the pictures! Thanks Coach T.! You always come through. Man! Would I love to step into one of those pictures. Journey On!
  4. I was. Had everything set to go. Then life happened and dictated I be here. I have a policy that I don’t bring the personal, political, or needless controversial subjects to the Forum. I was looking forward to the Con more than anything in a long time. I had my teams tuned up to compete! I believe everything happens in its own good time. I will, Lord willing, make the next one. Journey On!
  5. Been checking all day. Any news from the Con? Journey On!
  6. I thoroughly agree. Unfortunately, I don’t think any new helmeted or new uniforms from the NFL will show up as Uni-Forms. The emphasis seems to be on college Uni-Forms, and that’s all cool, as you will notice, Mr. Nutt plays exclusively with college teams. I, on the other hand, have always been bent towards the NFL when it comes to electric football. A child of the seventies, am I. The sixteen team drop we experienced two years ago will, more than likely, be the last drop of it’s kind. For that matter, ANY new NFL drop. At least the existing teams get replenished. I was afraid the product was going to be abandoned, so when I saw college teams being produced, I was pretty happy. I may or may not be ordering any, but there are many coaches more interested in college ball, so if it means Uni-Forms continues, I’m all for it! Who knows? Maybe we will see new versions from the NFL in the future! I have me some dreams. Journey On!
  7. Love those all white Colt’s uniforms!!
  8. Do those figures get repainted and kept on the same base? I remembered you saying once a player is paired with a base, no other action figure will play the same as that pairing. I have found this to be very true as well. One would think an all purpose figure is just an all purpose figure. I have instance after instance where this is just not the case! I’ve weighed the figures and examined them and can find no real reason for this to be true, but the on field performance does not lie. Journey On!
  9. Love seeing the snow field! Can’t wait to get back to passing with dice this weekend. With all the work you have done on each team, artistically and all else involved in fielding a team, when you say going away, do you really mean “going away”? Like Mickey told Rocky, “Poimenent!”?
  10. Yeah. Hotel is all good. Everything will be good. Disappointment is part of the journey as well. Journey On!
  11. A veritable plethora of information! Journey On!
  12. Well, I had reservations and had already sent my fee in for the tournament, but it seems life has other plans for me. So, sadly, I will not be there. I was looking forward to the con with about as much as one could look forward to an event. I Had my teams ready. But it is not to be. Y’all have fun and play a practice game for me and know I’ll be there in spirit. In the meantime, I’m going back to playing solitaire and hoping next year, I can join with you. Journey On!
  13. I have wrestled with this and must confess, I got out my standing buffalo Bills done in Uni-Forms and….. there was #32! If I gave any indication I was reticent to place him on a team, I was clearly duplicitous. I feel shame. But that team does look good! Journey On!
  14. Wow! Journey On, Dude! Journey On!!
  15. I miss the run for the Fruit Bowl! Seeing a new post about the Grizzlies and the Dead game, I got excited all over again watching the videos. No pressure, just a shout out to Coach T43 and his amazing league! Journey On!
  16. Awesome Possum! I knew someone would come through! I used to be so enamored with this set because it just seemed odd in all the right places. A quirky thing about me that continues to this day is, I have my favorite teams, but when I order, I tend to choose teams off the slippery side of my mind. When I order custom painted teams, I always tend towards a team or teams that are not in any way my favorites. For whatever reason, I have a lot of fun that way. Journey On!
  17. 1973 I was 12 and visiting family in Tennessee. They had the Jets-Bills game on and I got to see O.J. break the record. That’s the O.J. I choose to remember. Journey On!
  18. I’m out of pocket but have a question nagging me. The 70s Tudor set with the Patriots and 49ers was always such a unique pairing of teams and, even though I was not a fan of either team, I really wanted that set! I need the info on that set please. Thank you! Journey On!
  19. RTR, Coach J., RTR! Journey On!
  20. Here or the 1980 San Diego Chargers in UniForms. That’s right. San Diego. Like they were intended! Journey On!
  21. Electric football, by and large is special to most of us because of our childhoods. The Cowboys /Redskins game on Thanksgiving Day, way back when, with Clint Longly, (sic?), is so vivid of a memory because my dad and I were watching together. That is a super great childhood moment for me! The worth we attach to this game runs so deep in most of us, that the respect we have and show for one another, particularly on this Forum, is what makes our community so unique. It is a privilege to back and forth with you great coaches. I’ll never take that for granted. Journey On!
