  1. Good idea, I’ll try to get one posted soon.
  2. Your description of OPI is spot on with ours. The first aspect of this play is that it is the defender who runs into the receiver so in most cases it would be DPI. As you said it does boil down to whether the receiver is still heading for the ball. Taking the receivers expected turn into account is where the difficulty lies when determining whether or not he is still “making a play” for the ball. I had expected this receiver to curve to the left. He is slow in doing this and I agree that it appears he will miss the ball marker. But by how much must he miss it to be no longer considered the primary for the pass? That is the hard question for me.
  3. I love using Stick Passing rules but there are tricky situations that occasionally come up. The hardest to define, in my opinion, is Offensive Pass Interference. Here is the play, you make the call. The contact occurs more than a base length from the ball marker. IMG_1982.MOV
  4. I have played at our local wargame shop. The owner has shown a lot of interest in our league and invited us to play there. I asked him if the noise would be to much of a distraction for the wargamers playing at their hobby. He laughed it off saying no. I have only played there once but it was enjoyable and drew many questions from the crowd, although none ended up joining the league.
  5. I think photos like this one are important to the story of electric football. Most people today do not even know what electric football is and so if course have no idea of what a phenomenon EF was in the 50’s thru the 70’s. pics like this speak to this.
  6. Yes thats the one I was referring to. My brother and I used for many seasons way back when.
  7. Does anyone still have the plastic line of scrimmage divider Tudor sold in the 70’s? i lost mine years ago. But I made my own out of bass wood
  8. My daughter found a Gotham 883 field (1970). It had 9 white figures and 9 yellow figures all in great shape. Did a few scrimmage plays with them against my Nevada Aliens (Tudor figs and bases). Watch the Alien’s right looper, on both plays he dominates. IMG_1868.MOV So may do a full game one of these days.
  9. Been watching these guys for a while. They are entertaining!
  10. Yes, the Tudor’s Ultimate board is great! I would have a hard time going back to a smaller board.
  11. It might be your motor that is not working and not the controller. my field stopped running and I at first blamed the controller but later found that other controllers failed to run the field. I had to open the motor to find the reason mine stopped working. One of the electric wires had disconnected. All I had to do was re-solder the wire and it worked good as new.
  12. I thought I would explain my comments in the video. R3 and R4 is my way of identifying the play called randomly by dice. R means it is a Run play. The number identifies the hole that the runner must be aimed to move through. the pic shows how I number the holes (Odd numbers to left of center with even numbers to the right.)
  13. I previously posted a video of what turned out to be the Bowl game winning TD in the Highlight Section of this forum.

  15. Awesome Chris! I love how you continuously work to build up the hobby of Electric Football.
  16. IMG_1722.MOV The Detroit Lions triumph over Oregon’s Northwest Passage 13 to 9. Going into the 4th Qtr the Lions held a slim 6 to 3 lead. The lions had driven deep into Passage territory. I rolled a run between the left tackle and left guard. I had been rolling that play often for the lions and each time it netted them just 2 yds a carry. So The Lions used a Timeout to change the play to the opposite side of the line. This meant Barry Sanders would get the ball. Thus far he had been a non-factor in the game. The video shows the result…Barry Sanders finds his way into the endzone.
  17. SSEFL (My solitaire league) playoff game: Chiefs vs Lions 3rd Qtr: Lions call an off tackle sweep to Barry Sanders. The TE misses his block on the Looper but the looper then misses the tackle. IMG_1541.MOV
  18. Step one: Decide which figures will be your loopers. Step two: Before adjusting any base try running several on each looper and keep the ones that already naturally turn in the desired direction. Step Three: begin fine tuning your base by tweeking it. You can find lits of videos on proper tweeking technics. As many coaches above have mentioned the TTC base is the preferred base as this allows you to make adjustments during a game merely by turning the dial. However, I do have many teams using regular bases for loopers as they are were fast and turned correctly. They can be adjusted in the game by adjusting the angle you set them or if necessary by brushing the prongs with your finger. I also prefer my looper bases to have rounded fronts as this helps them slip passed pesky blockers.
  19. FG and at the end of video a zoom in replay. FullSizeRender.mov
  20. What do you attribute the Browns complete turnaround to? New bases? I draft new bases for each team based on their standing at seasons end. champion = no new bases 2nd = 1 new base 3rd & 4th = 2 new bases 5th & 6th = 3 new bases 7th & 8th = 4 new bases etc.
