  1. I posed this question on Facebook, but I also would like to hear your thoughts comments and suggestions. At some point in the evolution of The National Electric Football Game Museum, I plan on creating an NEFGM Hall of Fame. Am interested in finding out what type of Hall of Fame, people would be interested in seeing and what the criteria should be for induction into this Hall of Fame. Thanks, in advance.
  2. Awesome Video featuring Norbert "Thor" Revels and the Great Lakes EFL. Norbert is who I consider the "Premier" Base Tweaker in Electric Football. By the way, that is current Tudor owner Bryan "Beenutt" Nutt and Ken Allen, another legend in the history of Electric Football and Base Tweaker Extraordinaire facing off over the metal gridiron.
  3. Awesome narrative!! More than welcome to help you with getting them posted. Will be glad to help you with anymore that you would like to post.
  4. Yes!! Love the paint jobs and the absence of helmet logos is cool looking. That is what I have been doing of late with my solitaire teams. Great game action photos!!
  5. I asked the creator of them to join the Tudor Games Forum. I told him there was a lot more interest in Solitaire EF and lot more interesting discussions on here than there is on Facebook. Hopefully he will join soon.
  6. Yeah, there is one for sale on Facebook Marketplace for$ 15.00. About an hour 1/2 drive from where I live, in KY. I will probably buy it and go get it very soon, possibly next week, if it is still available. Not that I need it!! But a really good price.
  7. I don't think anything will ever beat the original Model 620 for quality. I have several of them in the collection of the museum that i plan on using to let people play on to experience how the game used to be played. I will probably have teams on the original single clip bases, but also will have some on the original TTC bases. Also, maybe even some more modern ITZ bases.
  8. Yeah, definitely Norman Sas and Lee Payne in the first class and probably the original 1949 Tudor Tru Action Electric Football Game Set. I took a risk and posted the following on Facebook. Will be interesting to see the responses. I think I know where it will go, but just want to be sure. "At some point in the evolution of The National Electric Football Game Museum I plan on creating a NEFGM Hall of Fame. 9. Thanks!! Didn't know where to find the emoji.
  10. I always wanted to emulate Spock. Thought he was a much more interesting character. Live Long and Prosper!!
  11. Thanks, Terry, for reading and posting a link to that issue of "the Tweak" and the article on Solitaire electric football. In case anybody is interested, there is a person working on developing some play cards, that I had a very good conversation with this week. Something that I have tried to do before but just couldn't get it worked out to my satisfaction. I really think this will be a "Game Changer" for the game and hobby.
  12. "I'm assuming you are speaking from personal experience with the MFCA Hall of Fame. Please, don't let it keep you awake at night. Life is too short and you have so much to share. The important thing is to have fun and Enjoy the Journey" Terry, yes!! From the very beginning I have always told people that a Museum Hall of Fame would not be a Coaches's Hall of Fame but rather a Game Set Hall of Fame and an Innovators, and Painter's Hall of Fame. People who have had the most influence or impact on the game through their creative, innovativd and artistist abiliites not for someone who's "Greatness" is determined by the number of "Gold Balls" or other tournament / league trophies they have setting on their shelves. What I have told the MFCA and TOC or any other league organizers, is that if they want to celebrate their people with A "Hall of Fame., that I would provide a space for it( at a premium) with total responsibility of the maintenance and upkeep for it at their expense. Needless to say I have had no takers and have received very little to absolutely no suppoert from these Organizations. Except from the LIEFL who have been very supportive of the Museum. As for the Dr. Pigskin articles in Crackin' Plastic. They are total fiction anf meant to be more satiricsl in nature.than anything else. However there is a certain amoount of truth in them that their opinions are based on. I certainly have been a personal witness to much of thst side of the game and hobby and why I peronally dont' attend most of these events anymore.
  13. Love what you did with the Cardinals photo!!
  14. I agree! I don't always prime the teams and figures that I paint, but I do clear coat with either gloss or matte Krylon or Rustoleum spray paint to seal the acrylic craft paint that I paint them with. I only know two of the painters that Tudor has contracted with to paint the custom teams and personally I think they will always do a very good quality job. The main concern that I have always had with having different people the painting is keeping it consistent. Every painter of custom electric football teams has their own unique style and way of doing them. I think that another option with ordering the custom painted teams should be the option of choosing who you want to paint them. I have had a couple of people to offer painting custom teams for the NEFGM to resale on consignment. but so far after seeing pics of their painting, I was not very satisfied with them being able to provide the quality that I would expect and demand. Ultimately, in my opinion, customer satisfaction and responsibility for providing quality customer service lies with the facilitator of that service.
  15. Good Question?? You have to meet Reggie in person to understand a lot about Reggie, his love and passion for the game and hobby, and his motivation for creating his line of footballfigure.net. electric football products. I met Reggie at the 1999 Miggle convention and tournament in Philadelphia, PA. There is a really interesting story behind all that that I don't know all the details of or remember enough to recount accurately. What I do remember though is it leading to a very strained relationship between Reggie and the owners of Miggle Toys that as far as I know was never mended or reconciled. Very rarely saw Reggie at any more Miggle sponsored events. I did see him occasionally at several of the other electric football tournaments and conventions sponsored by the MFCA, the TOC and other league and tournament events and had an opportunity to talk at length with him about a lot of things regarding electric football. There is no doubt that Reggie is a very creative and innovative person and a legend in the game and hobby and has a well-deserved place in the MFCA's Electric Football Hall of Fame and if I ever create an NEFGM Hall of Fame, he most very likely will be one of the first persons inducted. But that is a long way off and something I am very reluctant to do because of all the controversy and hurt feelings that it can cause and just something I REALLY HAVE NO DESIRE TO DEAL WITH at the present. My main focus right now is to get a physical "Brick and Mortar" location built for the museum and yes!!... an eventual NEFGM Hall of Fame.
  16. LOL. Yeah me too. NORTH DALLAS FORTY wasn't exactly a movie that young teenage boys should have been watching either.
  17. The Haiti Repro figures with pre-painted platforms and skin tones (SKU HT-11-PP) have the underside of the base painted. This is done at the factory. To a collector it makes a big difference. This is the identifying mark to accurately distinguish them from the regular Haiti Repros. Original Haiti Repros were not sold by Tudor Games. They were sold by Buzzball some time in the.late 2000's. Buzzball was also the first to offer figures with pre-painted skin tones. More than likely Tudor Games in the late 2010's was getting their Haiti Repros from the same factory in China that Buzzball had gotten theirs.
  18. I am sure that it was a licensing and branding issue just like it is today for any movie tie-in merchandising. I do know of or have heard of several people who have painted and created teams from these movies. I have thought about doing it myself. Of the three "The Longest Yard" is my favorite. Mean Machine vs. the Guards. very simple uniforms too. I used to work with a guy at a "Sports Authority" store in the Nashville, TN area, who also played Arena Football for the Nashville Kats. who went to Miami to play for the Miami Sharks in the "Any Given Sunday" Movie. I have posters of the Kats "Kitten" cheerleaders signed by a couple of them and a Kats team poster signed by a couple of the players when they made appearances at the Grand Opening of the Store in the Fall of 1999.
  19. First of all, I would suggest leaving a review on the Tudor Games website. There is an area for reviews, on the Custom Painted Team page at the bottom on the page. Custom Painted NFL Team (tudorgames.com) Second, I don't know how you are trying to contact them, but I would suggest calling their customer service phone no. directly: (800) 914-8836. Thirdly yes, I can understand how what they are showing and what you actually got could be construed as misleading, however nowhere in the description does it say that the figures used will be the pre-painted platform and skin tone figures. I did just check the status of those figures and they are currently out-of-stock. I really don't think that Tudor Games was adequately prepared for the overwhelming demand of these custom painted teams that by offering this service was going to generate. I personally have not ordered any because I paint my own teams. Obviously 100% complete customer satisfaction is paramount to the success or failure of any business. I do paint and sell replica and reproduction "Tudor Classic" teams to help fund the day-to day operations of the NEFGM Website, but I never offer a team for sale that is not already finished and ready to be shipped and very rarely do I take advance orders for them unless the customer is fully aware of what they are going to be getting, then send them pictures of what they are going to be getting before I even send out an invoice for them.
  20. I personally would buy more decals. In my experience, I have found that the Yellow Tudor Stick-On Numbers don't show up well on dark colored jerseys. They are too translucent. Unless maybe it is some of the really older Tudor numbers from the 70's. If they were bought recently, I am fairly certain you will not be satisfied with the results. Even the white numbers from Tudor that were produced in recent years, tend not to show up too well on darker jerseys.
  21. Here's a cool post, I came across on Facebook today. From the Miniature Football Coaches Association. Posted by Norbert Revells on 1/10/2024. "thats a reginald rutledge masterpiece from dallas, in 2007 I was so amazed by his passion and enthusiasm with EF, I just had to get on a plane and stay with this guy the whole weekend and absorb all his knowledge."
  22. Yes, I like them best for teams of that era. Have a great day!!
  23. Shawn, don't you have the bottom team? I think it was part of the "Ivy League" teams that you bought from The NEFGM Store a while back. By the way, the other figures are "Playtime" figures that came with the 1991 Playtime ABC's ELECTONIC Monday Night Football Game painted to represent 1920's NFL Duluth Eskimos, Los Angeles Buccaneers, Dayton Triangles and canton Bulldogs.
