  1. I just finished reviewing the college teams currently being offered by Tudor Games. These are the original college teams that were sold by Miggle beginning in the Spring of 2004. Original price for these teams were $7.00 - $9.00 for the regular size. In the Fall of 2007, they began offering the "67 Big Men" teams at a retail of $10.00. Current prices are $19.99 for the regular size and $21.99 for the "67 Big Men" and quantities are very limited. For a collector, these are actually very good prices. Current Asking Prices on eBay are starting @ $19.99 with most "Buy it Now" prices being $39.99. I am sure the value of these original Miggle / Tudor college teams will only increase as they sell out. I am just surprised that there was still remaining inventory of the original teams.
  2. The best place to find is on eBay. They do occasionally show up but expect to pay a premium price for them. They are rare and highly collectable.
  3. I really think eventually Jacksonville may move to London. I also believe the next expansion in the NFL will be to Europe. The NFL and American Football is very popular in Europe and every year they are adding more games played in Europe.
  4. Most leagues designate the kicking team as defense and receiving team as offense, for free kicks (kickoffs, onside kicks and safety kicks.
  5. Yes, that was my first thought. it looks like old leftover Miggle inventory.
  6. Breaking news! Painted college teams are available now on the website!!! Limited supply!!! Be sure to get your favorite team now. Exciting times!
  7. Any double clip bases will work. They do need to be weighted. The track is very thin flimsy plastic. It really needs a piece of sheet metal laminated to it underneath the track.
  8. Not sure about the Power Supply. The one you mention is a corded and not a battery operated power supply. Bryan has a better relationship with the Klingbeils at ITZ than Doug Strohm did. So it may be something they are working on together. Joel Pritchard is a personal friend of Bryan's and has won many tournaments and competitions. So yes Joel is some one whom definetly has a proven track record of being a master base tweaker.
  9. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during our transition to South Carolina! I'm so excited about what is coming for Tudor Games! We are restocking all inventory now. College Painted teams will be available this week! Can't wait! New improved ultimate games are being tested now with removable magnetic boards for NFL and College Field Covers. We are testing a new remote and improved power supply to provide more power so that one motor will be more than enough! ITZ bases will be available on the website very soon! Can't wait! We are developing a simple ruleset that will be used in all our solitaire and tournament play - this will be introduced soon! It will be called "Read and React". I think you will love it. We will be offering tweaked bases by Joel Pritchard soon on the website! NFL painted teams will be in by Christmas time!!!! I was even able to get my wife Anne out of retirement to work in the warehouse. Now that is by far my biggest accomplishment so far. Can't wait - the future for this hobby is bright! Bryan
  10. I hope they keep pre-painted figures the traditional Fab 5 Haiti-Repro. Feel fairly certain that they will. Never have really cared for the Beenutt Pac 12.
  11. I have the Chiefs and Chargers in the collection of the museum, thanks to Eligio's donation. I have several more team sets that I could paint as well. Several years ago I traveled to a persons home that only played the game with these figures. He had several teams that he had painted. It was fun playing with them. I have also seen some of these figures being used on competition teams.
  12. It is a good partnership for Tudor and keeping Tudor competitive in the electric football market. ITZ Bases are the bases used almost exclusively in the higher compettion levels of electric football and I have seen a trend of them being used more and more in solitaire levels. Do you need them? NO. I have very few and don't use any of them. In my experience, Tudor bases can be made to perform just as well as ITZ bases. It is my understanding that Tudor is going to sell pre-tweaked bases as well. If you feel the need to add ITZ bases to your game, then I would wait to buy pre-tweaked bases.
  13. The trend that I have noticed in the last several years, is more toward college football. So, offering pre-painted college teams is a step in the right direction. The challenge will be in finding that right mix of teams to offer and still be able to satisfy the consumer demand and be profitable.
  14. Thanks Shawn, that's awesome! Yes, this version is very useful. Adding it to the NEFGM Library.
  15. Eligio Bonelli is the miniature football artist who painted these old school figures.
  16. Nice!! Would love to have a copy for the archives of the museum.
  17. This question was asked on FB. I have played by Arena Football Rules which uses 8 players on the field, and I know of a few others that play Solitaire Arena Electric Football. I know there are areas of the country with small high schools that play 6- and 8-man football.
  18. Nostalgia!! Yes, that is why I paint these teams like I do. Much simpler uniforms too. I do try to be a little more detailed with these teams than the original Tudor Factory teams, but I don't obsess over it. In the end, if I can look at a team and still recognize them as the team I intended for them to be, then I am happy. And that is all that really matters.
  19. Tudor Games Official Site - Home of Electric Football Website has been updated with new address information and the delayed shipping notice removed.
  20. Paul Leslie Gardner aka the "Tudorian" is a long-time coach and electric football enthusiasts. He grew up in Brooklyn and would often go to the Tudor Factory to buys teams as a kid. He is a retired journalist currently living in Niagra Falls, NY. I have had the opportunity to have several personal conversations with him and he is a pleasure to talk to. Thanks for the donations. He is who I painted the "New York Neutrons" concept team for. These are the items he donated to the museum. This is a press release for an event that unfortunately was cancelled.pdfLee Payne letter to Paul Gardner.pdfA NFL OF THEIR OWN.pdf The Lee Payne letter is incomplete but still what is there is awesome. A couple of pictures given to him from Roddy Garcia, co-author of "The Unforgettable Buzz". Some pics of his teams painted by Legendary EF Painter Chris Stacy. Paul has often taken one of his electric football games to different areas of New York to demonstrate the game. At Niagra Falls At the MET in New York. And Outside the Today Show. AL Roker did stop and speak to him and comment about the game but did not make it on air. Paul is also planning a weekly EF event in Niagra Falls starting the end of September. I am sure he could use some help if anyone is in that area.
  21. Hopefully this will help. 36 x 18 Framing.pdf
