  1. Here's a video of my Peel and Stick Vinyl field cover. Different Ultimate board but the same two motion generators. 100_4153.mov No difference as far as I can tell. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  2. I recommend the, "peel and stick vinyl." My experience with the peel and stick vinyl has been excellent. The problem I'm having with the magnetic field cover is illustrated in the following two videos. The first video is my straight-from-the-factory Ultimate field with two Tudor motion generators. The little plastic peep is #46 my MVP of my Fruit Bowl. 100_4151.mov Here is #46 on the 300 magnetic field cover on top of my Ultimate field. 100_4149.mov The 300 magnetic field cover muffles the Buzzzzz of the motion generators (which some long-suffering loved-ones might appreciate) but it also affects the speed and straightness of #46. It's worth noting that the first video takes only 10 seconds for the 100 yard dash. The second video takes about 4 seconds just to reach the 25 yard line. I tried five of my best Kickoff Returners on the 300 magnetic field cover and the results were similar. The little plastic peeps moved about half-as-fast and turned rather than running straight. So now I'm thinking I won't use my 300 magnetic field cover for the remainder of my games. Tudor states this on their webpage, "Why use a Field Cover? Field Covers are great for two reasons. First, they deliver an authentic NCAA experience. You'll feel like you're playing on the real college field! And second, they often improve the performance of your board ...Also suitable for framing." I think I will frame mine. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  3. I ran into a bit of a puzzler. πŸ€” The magnetic field cover is acting like a damper. The players are running a lot slower. I'm still planning to play my next game on the 300 field cover. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  4. I wanted to try the magnetic field covers β€” but I didn't really want an NFL or college field cover β€” so I set about customizing a Michigan State Spartans magnetic field cover. 300 is one of my favorite comic books (Frank Miller) and movies (Zach Snyder). So I decided to use the art work from both to create my custom magnetic field cover. My first step was to scrub away SPARTANS from both End Zone. I used a regular wet, dishwashing sponge. The Tudor ink, or Tudor acrylic paint, or whatever it is, came off very easily. Too easy actually. I suspect it will be susceptible to scratching. Then I wiped away the debris with just a paper towel. In about the length of time it takes to have a molar pulled and a titanium implant screwed into my jaw, the End Zone was mostly white. Yes, I know from experience. Tuesday was NO FUN. I masked off the End Zone and splattered it with Liquitex acrylic ink like the Movie Poster for the movie the 300. I created a stencil for the 300 and used a red Sharpie to write 300 on the magnetic vinyl. I thought it came out okay. Then it was time to do the other End Zone. I chose those wonderful words from King Leonidas as he is kicking the Persian Messenger into the well. Just like that I have my custom magnetic field cover. This is kind of the 'Chicken or Egg' question. Which came first the 300 electric football field or the team called the 300? For right now there isn't an 300 electric football team but I'm sure I can remedy that. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ I will play out the remainder of my 2024 Draft games on the 300 field. Enjoy the Journey. 5. Excellent paint and decal work. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ How do you keep the bumpers on the ITZ bases. I use glue. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  6. I believe all these bases have strengths and weaknesses and the key is too get the best base for the position. Enjoy the Journey. T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  7. Was the purple wet when you applied the white? If yes then I would guess that is the problem. If no, then I would guess the white paint was too thin. A vigorous shaking may help the white paint hold its shape. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  8. And heavier. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  9. I'm ahead of the Kick Off curve in my league. If you watch some of my videos from 2023 you will see that my kicker lines up on the 35 yard line (like the new rule). βœ… I line up my 10 kicking team players on the receiving team 20 yard line. I line up my 9 receiving team players on the receiving team 10 yard line. I keep 2 kick returners back and I alternate the kick receiver. βœ… None of the players move until the kick returner catches the ball. βœ… Works great for me. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ P.S. I can provide statistics from last season if there's interest.
  10. Thanks NO Dave for the clarification and thank you for being a Forum Moderator. πŸ˜ΊπŸ‘ Somebody has to herd the cats. πŸˆπŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆ Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  11. Hi NO Dave. Are you refereeing at TudorCon24 this year? Do you mean the Bengals are painted and have decals and the Bengals pictured are not Uni-Forms? Or did you mean that you believe the Bengals are painted with decals and I should refrain from Uni-Form comments in any place except Uni-forms? That said, I also mentioned bases. Does that mean you will move my comment about bases out of Figure Painting and Detailing and into Bases and Invisibles? Should I refrain from mentioning bases in any place except Bases and Invisibases? I'm just looking for clarification of this Posting Rule: I didn't intend to hijack the subject. My comments just kind of flowed from what I saw in the pictures. Thank you. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  12. The Uni-forms look splendid. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ I do question his choice of a white base at WR. In my experience the white Tudor convention bases were not the plastic to come out of the mold. I believe that is reinforced by the fact Tudor isn't making the white plastic bases anymore. πŸ•·οΈ My Spidey-senses are telling me the white base won't make it to the end of the season. On the other hand the Polo Green bases are good at Wide Receiver and tailback so I'm understanding that decision completely. Both should get better with time. Only time will tell. ⏰ Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  13. Both teams look awesome. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Either team will look great on the ITZ Blitz bases you have coming in the mail. I noticed Tudor has silver convention bases in again so I order a bunch of those. The original Tudor silver bases weren't very good so I'm hoping this new batch of plastic will be better. I also ordered the college Spartans magnetic field cover. I'm gonna change the field cover from the Michigan State Spartans to the Halo Spartans. That will be a challenge for me. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  14. Seems kind of normal for my league. As in real football, speed kills in electric football. You have some very fast bases at your skill positions. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  15. This is gonna hurt Coach Collins' feelings β€” to see the Tide lose two national championship bids in one year β€” but I kinda like the purple and gold. Go Tigers! Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  16. So, you throw the little football with your hand? If that's what you mean then I believe that is marvelous. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ In my opinion a lot better than a TTQB. Though I'm not sure why you need to bump the board. πŸ€” From the videos it appears you are using a Beenutt PAC-12 quarterback. It's a nice sculpt. πŸ† In my experience a Passing team will beat a Running team most of the time. If LSU has a great receiving corp then I'd bet my money on them. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  17. How do you do passing? I'm sure you've told us but I couldn't find your description. Seems like LSU is leaning heavy on the pass to stay in this game. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  18. I'm in the middle of quite an exciting electric football journey. It's like a trip 60 years into the past and the year is somewhere between 1971 and 1974. The location is a factory in either Haiti or China and 184 single-clip bases are starting life as liquid green plastic. The liquid plastic is injected into a mold and 24 single-clip bases come out of the mold. Those 24 bases joined with over 300 of their brothers and sisters and made the journey across the Pacific Ocean to the United States. They got placed on a shelf and there they sat for next 60 years. Untweaked. Unplayed with. Unrealized potential. I found them on eBay and purchased them. That was my post on 'Santa Claus arrived early'. As I announced in, 'Santa Claus arrived early (part 2)' I've created eight new teams. Each team has 23 players and I tweaked all 184 players. In the tweaking process 33 proved impossible to tweak. 80 remain to be realized. Joyously the 184 bases are tweaked, played with, and their potential is in the process of blossoming. ________________________ Angels of Avalon TB #37: 97 yards rushing on 6 carries; 1 TD Angels of Avalon TB #26: 39 yards on 7 carries; 2 TDs Angels of Avalon HB #9: 77 yards rushing on 5 carries; 1 TD Angels of Avalon TE #81: 151 kick return yards; 2 TDs; Recovered Onside Kick. 19. In the first video it appears the Chargers pull guard #52 to block the Dolphins' Edge Rusher #1. Guard #52 turns #1 right around and Chargers' Tackle #3 seals the edge. Beautiful. Chargers' WR #13 blocks the Dolphins' cornerback to the inside and Ekelar runs behind the WR for a First Down. Just like real football. Beautiful. This is an uncanny ability and I search for it in my Tudor bases, ITZ bases, and Buzzball bases. Most bases follow the base in front of them and end up getting a small gain. Then along comes the really uncanny base that is able to bounce to the outside. I see that Ekelar is on an ITZ green base. Is that base the CL-2 Formula 100 GREEN Standard Base ? If it is the formula 100 then your experience matches mine. My ITZ Formula 100 and formula 55 bases are rigid enough to bounce to the outside. The softer plastic (in my experience) seems more inclined to cling to the base in front. I'm not entirely sure what the Klingbeil brothers mean by, "... a high level of athleticism." Yes, they do have a personality of their own. Finding that personality is part of the fun. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ

  21. I think Coach Pizz says it best. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Stopping and pivoting doesn't make EF 'advanced' or more 'realistic'. Stops and pivots give coaches time to think. It's like a timeout on every play. That's not very realistic. For the audience stops and pivots make it difficult to stay awake. πŸ˜΄πŸ’€ However I do take issue with the Long Island EFL's use of the word vetted. Their draft is hardly vetted. Where are the statistics that show how a base has performed from Pee-Wee, to High School, to College, and finally the Combine? There's no evidence that would support a Kaizen process. That's why my bases play at least three games (real games!) where their true metal will show. I started my draft with 184 bases and by the end of my extreme vetting process I will have 46 bases with statistics from at least 3-games for each player. That's vetting. That's Kaizen. That said, if I lived closer I would join the Long Island League 'cause I enjoy your camaraderie and smack talk. I believe the LIEF League is playing the most enjoyable EF in the United States. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  22. I watched the video on tackling and fumbles. Thanks for posting the link. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  23. I traded my Ford Falcon for a '68 GTO. That GTO and I went on a lot of journeys with the stereo turned up to 11. Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  24. Yep, that's the one I wanted so bad it hurt. Of course, I wanted all the Trans-Am coupes; Ford Boss Mustang, Chevy Camaro, Dodge Charger, Plymouth Barracuda, and the AMC Javelin. I bought all the Hot Wheels and kept them next to my bed hoping I would get one of them for my Birthday or graduation. I got a Ford Falcon. Enjoy the Journey T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  25. Your field runs very smooth. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Your players also run smooth and fast. I'm seriously impressed. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
