  1. Chris, Absolutely fantastic! How are you attaching a player to a Tee? The paint on your Canton Bulldogs is worthy of Museum Wax! Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ

  3. Hi. My Sirens of Titan just won their fourth Fruit Bowl Championship and I started wondering how do other coaches memorialize the victory? Does anyone give their players diamond rings? πŸ€‘ I have a plexiglas display mounted to a 1949 model 500 game board. I record the year, Fruit Bowl number, final score, and the MVP. I pick a play from the game that I think was most important to the winning team and I build a little vignette to memorialize the play and the player. I've attached a video. 30 Seasons of Fruit Bowl MVPs - SD 480p.mov Then I add a player to the winning team. For the first Fruit Bowl win the team receives a kicker. For the second Fruit Bowl win the team receives a pocket passer QB, and for the third win I go all out and buy more bags of bases so I can give the team the strongest Defensive End / Tight End possible. But I've never had a team win four Fruit Bowls. I've gotta do something special! Rewards for Winning a Fruit Bowl - SD 480p.mov Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ

Hi. I have a similar negotiating team. πŸ˜‰ Go Saints! ⚜️ Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  5. I agree completely. It's like warm weather / dome teams going north to play cold weather teams. The University of Montana Grizzlies have had this advantage for decades. I'm not sure how to test your theory but I'm betting a 20 degrees difference in temperature definitely causes an observable change and that 10 degrees may cause an observable change. I just moved my football field from a very warm room in our house to a much cooler addition to the house. I'll let you know this Fall after the first snow fall. ❄️ Enjoy the Journey. T43 πŸ₯ΆπŸˆπŸ₯΅
  6. Hi. Here are the highlights from the Third Quarter of Fruit Bowl 30. At halftime the Christmas Spirit was up 10 to 7 over the Sirens of Titan. The Christmas Spirit are in the red home jerseys. At the beginning of the game the Sirens won the toss and deferred to the Third Quarter. This was an opportunity for the Sirens to score back-to-back touchdowns. 3rd quarter Fruit Bowl 30 - SD 480p.mov Both teams depend on their halfbacks to control the game and neither halfback is having a very good game. 7. I never had a chance to see Jim Brown play. ☹️ I grew up in northern Idaho and the closest TV stations were in Spokane, Washington. Of course, I've seen all the footage the NFL strung together in their 'NFL 100 Greatest' Game Changers: Jim Brown "NFL 100 Greatest" counts down the top 100 game changers in NFL history, and former Cleveland Browns running back and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Jim Brown lands at No. 20." But it's not the same as seeing a great running back, like Jim Brown, take over a game. Like Daryl wrote, RIP Jim Brown. Enjoy the Journey T43 πŸˆπŸ”—everyone
  8. Hi. On the subject of heat and cold effecting bases and base prongs. I was thinking, heat emerges from molecular vibration. I stole this off the internet. The number of cycles that a vibrating object completes in one second is called frequency. The unit of frequency is hertz (Hz). One hertz equals one cycle per second. I stole this from Wikipedia The audible frequency range for humans is typically given as being between about 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz We can definitely hear the vibrations of an electric football field. I was hoping to find a table of heat generated in different materials and at different hertz. I didn't so I must be approaching the question incorrectly. "This example models heat generation in a beam-like structure subjected to small amplitude vibrations." https://www.comsol.com/model/heat-generation-in-a-vibrating-structure-2205 My take away from this thought problem is that a prong starts at room temperature and then β€” when the field is turned on β€” heats up and soften a bit. The heating caused by vibration may cause the prong to behave differently when the field is running. So, like athletes, warming up is a good idea. I'm going to start placing all my players on the field and running it for a minute before I start the game. I'm going to warm up the tips of those prongs. This may (fingers crossed 🀞) cause the bases to perform more consistently. Enjoy the Journey T43 βš‘πŸˆβ™ΎοΈ
  9. You're spot on, Greg and I don't have a clue why those bases can bounce off a double team and still get open. My super strong DE runs straight, but not real fast. Video attached. 100_0371.mov Enjoy the Journey T43 ⚑🏈
  10. Bob, what would you call that Division? If you put the Seahawks, Cardinals, and Jets together you could call the division the "Wing and a Prayer," Division. πŸ€ͺ I'm just winging it. 😝 Enjoy the Journey. T43 ⚑🏈
  11. Hi Daryl, I'm sure the 9082 comes with placement instructions (I hope! 🀞). You could use the chat feature on the Tudor homepage to make sure. I put a snow field cover on my Ultimate field and the field cover actually improved my field. Specifically, players seem to run more smoothly and my wife noticed a reduction is noise. So I'm guessing that motor placement and field cover are not related. That's all the help I have for now. Enjoy the Journey T43 ⚑🏈
  12. Hi. I've seen it written that tweaking a base is sometimes science and sometimes art. Sometimes tweaking is dumb luck! I was tweaking a base and my pliers slipped and twisted a back prong. I thought, "Here's another one for the garbage." But I tried it anyway and put the Defensive End up against my strongest players. He kept winning. And not by just a little bit! So then I gave the Defensive End heavy things to push. I felt like Bruce Willis's son in the movie Unbreakable. A short video is attached. 5 gram DE pushes 30 grams - SD 480p.mov I really love this hobby. Enjoy the Journey T43 πŸ’ͺ⚑
  13. I think these Division Names make much better sense than the NFL Division Names. Excellent improvement! πŸŽ‰ Go Rams! 🐏 Enjoy the Journey T43⚑🏈
  14. So much to love about this stadium! 😍 Using the pocket helmets along the top is brilliant. Incorporating the artwork from the EF box (vibrating football) is genius. The little "Hawks' Nest" at the north end is a wonderful touch. Definitely a 5 star stadium. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enjoy the Journey T43 ⚑🏈
  15. Hi. 2nd Quarter Highlights of the championship game between the Christmas Spirit and the Sirens of Titan. I use dice for passing and kicking. Also, I use Stop Forward Progress Tackling so the plays may look a bit unusual for those accustomed to Touch tackling. 2nd quarter highlights Fruit Bowl 30 - SD 480p.mov Enjoy the Journey T43 ⚑🏈
  16. Gerry F. Good luck with your business! πŸ‘ I still watch the NFL and college football, but in electric football I'm the Owner, Manager, Coach, and League President, so my electric football teams reflect my other interests in life. For example, Knights in White Satin (from the Moody Blues), Quick and the Dead (from the Sharon Stone / DiCaprio / Crowe / Hackman movie), Oughtin' Otters (spirit animal), Sirens of Titan (Kurt Vonnegut book), and Angels of Avalon (from Led Zeppelin). I also make my own waterslide decals. I put the decal on the Player's chest like they do in the CFL... ...Or use to do in the World Football League... ... Or Boise State University. On my field these Boise State jerseys are normal. 😜 Enjoy the Journey. T43 ⚑🏈
  17. I still paint my teams and I wouldn't do it any other way, also. However, I'm really weird. I use Stop Forward Progress tackling, I use dice for passing, and I do minimalist painting. I don't paint helmets anymore. I paint the little plastic players' helmets the primary color (red, blue, green, white, etc.) and then I paint a Riddell pocket helmet to be the team helmet. Then if the helmet changes I change the Riddell helmet, not twenty-two little helmets. Also, I frequently paint the helmet with fingernail polish to get a "hard as nails," surface. πŸ’… Sock stripes are an agony so I don't do it anymore. I'm very much into blocks of color, like a Piet Mondrian painting. πŸ–ΌοΈ Helmet, Jersey, Numbers, Pants, Socks, Shoes, and Platform are all blocks to coordinate. 🎨 I tend to use black rather than white wherever possible. That said, I love to see the incredible detail that some little plastic players are molded with. And I love the grass stains, blood stains, helmet scrapes, and K-tape some artists are adding to their basic paintings. Enjoy the Journey! T43 ⚑🏈
  18. The Safety bumped Sirens #82 and then blitzed. The coach (that would be me) underestimated the Siren receivers. Those little plastic men frequently Surprise the Dickens out of me. I guess that's why I keep playing. Any given Sunday. Enjoy the Journey. T43 ⚑🏈
  19. Gerry, The jerseys look fantastic. I'm jealous of your CFL Stampeders. You have some nice looking fields also. I recognize the Ultimate with the snow field, and the Rose Bowl field, and I think I recognize a circa 1971 model 620. How many fields do you have? Enjoy the Journey. T43 ⚑🏈
  20. Hi Jim, I'm really digging your great team names! Especially the Thunderbolts! ⚑ Can't wait to see them in action. πŸ₯‡ Enjoy the Journey. T43
  21. Hi. The final score of Fruit Bowl 30 was Sirens of Titan 28, Christmas Spirit 23. The Christmas Spirit led most of the game and lost on the final play of the Fruit Bowl. 22. Hi. I've integrated Buzz Ball figures into all of my teams. πŸ‘ If your 1995 Packers are looking for a home, I'll add a touch of brown and gold paint and turn them into University of Wyoming Cowboys. 🀠 Enjoy the Journey. T43. ⚑🏈
  23. Hi. I'm curious, the jersey isn't a professional, or college team, but is in that distinct style you describe as, " painted in the tradition of Classic Tudor teams.". Is this one of the criteria for addition to the museum? I genuinely appreciate the pictures of the Museum's collections. Thank you! πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  24. Hi. The Second Necromonger Season πŸ‘½ started with the purchase of eight bags of Tudor red TTC bases and four bags of Tudor red Rookie bases. I created seven new teams (some with old names like the Sirens of Titan) and threw in last season's Fruit Bowl Champion πŸ† Big Horn Rams for eight teams in a double-elimination tournament. The Christmas Spirit beat the Polaris for a spot in the 30th Fruit Bowl, and the Sirens beat the Big Horn Rams for the other spot.
