  1. My NFL app has commentary on all the interesting matchups this coming season. Detroit opens the season at KC. If the Detroit Lions of last season return this season then KC might be grateful they're at home. T43
  2. Hi. I was looking through my videos and I found three highlights where a Tackles should be persuasive - SD 480p.mov linebacker hits a ball carriers so hard that the impact ๐Ÿงจ knocks the ball carrier back a yard or two. The last highlight shows a middle linebacker tackle that results in a safety. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  3. Thank you so much! The car bases look almost exactly like the metal bases on my 1949 football players. I never knew. This is fun! ๐Ÿ˜„ T43
  4. Hi, In leagues โ€” like in the NFL โ€” I understand the value of calling an audible when the QB sees a weakness in the defense and wants to exploit that weakness. In solitaire electric football I always know what play the offense is going to run. My football brain simply can't keep a secret from the rest of my brain. ๐Ÿคช All my teams have the same base defense which is sort of a 4โ€”3 defense with man-to-man coverage. All my teams run the same offensive plays. Usually I start the game with five or six scripted running plays. My philosophy is to run the ball until the base defense proves they can stop the run. But I never execute the same successful run play twice in a row because that can get boring real fast for me. Many of my teams have receiving corps that are so good at getting open that man-to-man coverage can't work. The base defense must change to double teams and that opens up the running game. Ahhh. Back where I started: running the ball. Usually the strength of the O-line โ€” in conjunction with the consistency of the running backs โ€” determine the outcome of the game. Once the game starts I believe I could be replaced with a robot. And the robot would set up the plays a heck of a lot faster! I guess that explains why I've never called an audible. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  5. Hi. I'm the other side of the coin. ๐Ÿช™ I heat 'bent' players at the ankles and straighten them up. This may damage the paint. However, sometimes a defect has a good effect.๐Ÿ’ฅ The 'lean' might make the player stronger, or very consistent. I've heated up the ankles and 'leaned' a player on purpose. ๐Ÿ€ It's all part of the equation. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆ
  6. Hi Chris. Wow. What an incredible purchase for the Museum. Thank you for sharing the pictures and your evaluation process. Terry43
  7. Eyeglasses are permitted, magnifiers are not. Banging tables or chairs near the playing board is not permitted. Music must be played at a level where the instructions from an official or dialogue between coaches can still be easily heard and understood. Equipment which shows a clear electrical or fire hazard will not be permitted. LOL ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿคช
  8. Hi NO Dave, I'm giving your invitation to join your league serious thought. I've never been to Louisiana. I'm reading through the League rules a bit slower now. I have a question about securing the player to the base. Securing a Base to a Player: A base should be secured to a player primarily by its base clips. If the base clips are removed, or for extra support, the base may be adhered to the figure by the use of glue or double-sided tape. I secure a player to a base with a screw and nut. I can add washers under the base and additional nuts on top. This is how I add weight. Is that okay? Terry43
  9. Hi Greg. Last video. Once you have the running game working then it is time to throw the Play Action Pass. The formation looks like a U6E but the Spirit QB doesn't hand off to the Tailback. Instead the QB drops back and finds the Fullback #46 right up the middle. If you're playing with Passing Sticks then I guess the pattern would a button hook. Play Action Pass from U6E - SD 480p.mov Enjoy the Journey. I hope these videos help your hip to heal. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ
  10. Hi Greg. This play is called U3E. Upback Formation. 3 means the Spirit Right Tackle #79 and Right TE #90 have their bases on backwards and they are going to run backwards. This creates a hole that the offensive line can push the defensive line into. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ The Spirit Center #54 and Right Guard #66 are double teaming the Sirens of Titan Defensive tackle #71 and Middle Linebacker #58. E means the play is going to the E-gap and this time Spirit TB #20 runs exactly as he is suppose to. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ U3E - SD 480p.mov Enjoy the Journey. T43โšก๐Ÿˆ
  11. Hi Greg. This play is called U6F. Upback Formation. In my shorthand that means the Christmas Spirit Fullback #46 is the Upback and is positioned behind the Left Tackle #70. The Fullback must be one base length back from the tackle. Note how #46 is like a hammer driving a nail. I can almost hear the pads crack. ๐Ÿฅธ 6 means all the offensive line are blocking the defensive linemen directly in front of them. The Spirit Center #54 and Right Guard #66 are double teaming the Sirens of Titan Defensive tackle #71 and Middle Linebacker #58. F means the play is going to the F-gap. In truth the Spirit Tailback #20 ๐Ÿ† was suppose to hit the E-gap, but sometimes the little plastic men/bases have minds of their own. ๐Ÿค” U6F - SD 480p.mov Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  12. Hi Greg. Here's my statistics sheet. Enjoy the Journey. T43 ๐Ÿค
  13. Hi Greg. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was in Billings, Montana all day. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ More videos coming up. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Which hip? I know you will be careful with the pain medication. I looked at TOEPRO Commissioner Kinchen's Playbook and also the Rules Book and there's a shorthand that the NFL uses and Professional Electric Football duplicates. I don't use the NFL shorthand, but I understand it... Most of the time. (Draw vs Trap. Aargh) For my statistics sheet I use a three digit code. For example the Power Sweep I first demonstrated is T5L. T-Formation. Offensive Line blocking assignments: 5 Left Side I only use these formations: I-Formation Proset-Formation Single Back-Formation T-Formation U-Formation I only have five Offensive Line blocking assignments: 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. (Blocking assignments are complicated. I'll explain them later) I use Gaps instead of Holes. Starting on the QB's left. L-side F-gap E-gap D-gap C-gap B-gap A-gap R-side TE | LT | LG | Center | RG | RT | TE So you can request a video or two if you like. At random you could say, "I'd like to see a P4C. Then run an S4C." I'd make the two videos and you could compare them. I promise I'm getting better at inserting instant replay. Enjoy the Journey. T43 ๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿ‘
  14. Thanks Commissioner. Sounds exactly like the NFL. T43 ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  15. Hi Commissioner Kinchen. Thanks for the tip. I just bookmarked the Electric Football Playbook in my favorites. From what I can see in the Dogfish Head video, I think Jim โ€œThe Hulkโ€ Davis runs a lot of I-Formation plays. Thanks. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  16. I really the way your league simulates stripping the ball. It happens all the time in the NFL so an equivalent in Electric Football makes sense. Great idea! T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  17. Thanks TOEPRO Commissioner Kinchen for showing us the playbook you and other coaches have spent so much time creating. I'll remember to go there first in the future. I'm guilt of confusing the Draw and the Trap. My original videos illustrate the Draw and I called the play a Trap. Mea culpa. Coach Shawn, thanks for the link to Anatomy of a Play: Trap Play. I really enjoyed Ross Tucker's explanation. Thank you. Enjoy the Journey. T43 ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  18. Hi. I'm glad your league has rules they agree on. That makes the game fun! Do you allow double-team blocking? I use stacking like a hammer hitting a nail. I use it on defense and offense. However, I only use stacking two deep which occurs naturally when the safeties run up, or the Middle Linebacker blitzes. Of course, I use it on offense to bump the Middle Linebacker out of the play, or to influence the defense in the wrong direction, like in the video. I do the Offset I formation also. Frequently I setup the Fullback behind the Tackle and I call that the Upback Formation. They both work the same way but with the emphasis on running through the B gap instead of the C gap. I use the quarterback as a blocker, rather than pulling the Center, because it is easier to coordinate the Power Sweep. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  19. Hi. Love the Forum but I've encountered two problems. 1. The Contact button has a 404 message. 2. When I try to LIKE an entry I get this message: Sorry, you cannot add any more reactions today. Could I please add more reactions? Thank you, T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  20. Hi. I love this forum! ๐Ÿ˜ I just ordered passing sticks so I could give it a try. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ And then I read that some of you are considering dice for passing. ๐Ÿคช Enjoy the Journey! T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ w\ ๐Ÿฟ
  21. Hi. Running plays from the I Formation is difficult because 4-3 defensive tackles can clog up the middle and the outside linebackers (sometimes called Loopers) come in and make a touch-tackle for lost yardage. Stop Forward Progress tackling can neutralize fast Outside Linebackers a little but a good Tight End can take the Outside Linebacker right out of the play. In the attached video the Polaris Tight End #83 is a very weak base. When the motion generator is turned on the Christmas Spirit Weak Side Cornerback #29 pushes Polaris #83 right into the path of the Christmas Spirit Outside Linebacker #48. BOOM ๐Ÿ’ฅ The weakest player on the field takes out both defensive players. The video has three examples of the I formation in action. Polaris Halfback #5 is the ball carrier is all three videos. In the first two examples I used slow motion to make it easier to see TE #83 and HB #5. In the third example the Christmas Spirit clog up the middle really good but #5 continues to fight for yards. Technical Detail: In all three videos Polaris Center #52 and Polaris Left Guard #68 are adjusted to double team Christmas Spirit Defensive Tackle #66 and Middle Linebacker #54. Polaris Right Guard #69 is adjusted to block Christmas Spirit Defensive Tackle #70 one-on-one. I Formation with SloMo TE blocking - SD 480p.mov The Polaris Fullback #43 can assist #69 with a double team. Coaches prerogative. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ˜„๏ธ
  22. Hi NO Dave. I absolutely love the new weight rules. I could legally play in your league. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Thanks for posting all the Capitol King rules. I enjoyed reading them. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  23. Paddy, I used this quote in the discussion of setting up pass patterns. I believe your words and intent are spot on. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
  24. Hi. I believe there is a Natural Continuity to an electric football game that is 'snapped' or 'halted' when play is stopped and players are pivoted. I agree with the Long Island Electric Football League, I guess that is why I settled on dice. Play stops. The offense and defense throw their dice. The game continues without any pivoting. Long Island Electric Football League doesn't use dice. I use dice because it is really quick. Offense throws a D12 (twelve-sided dice) and defense throws a D10. If the Offense throws the larger number the pass is complete. If the Defense throws the larger number the pass is intercepted. Ties are incompletions. This ratio doesn't mimic the NFL because resembling NFL football isn't one of my values. This ratio is in line with my passing values. Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆ
