1923 Dayton Triangles progress

Wow--great!

I saw those figs online, but listed as "sold out" or something.  I'd love to make two teams with them.  How do they compare size-wise with the standard Haiti repros?  And were they purchased recently?

My youngest daughter bought them as my Christmas gift and my middle daughter is painting them.

they might be just a tad smaller to the size of Regular tudor teams.  See the picture below.   That is a Tudor RB from the Panthers.

My daughter had made great progress on my Dayton Triangles.  Not finished but had to show them anyway.

She has the whole team painted to this level right now.ABCD152A-76EF-4F65-A729-DE563A8805EB.thumb.jpeg.35e8ab96015164beee1effc0ed390f99.jpegF5D3CE45-009C-4C12-A987-0E7602215C02.thumb.jpeg.b9af2217a359a2e1e1b7bbdf52fac5e3.jpegE803A451-035C-415B-B779-A1876A788AE9.thumb.jpeg.bc8e1c0715ec30355f737b0704bb94d8.jpeg

Love this!  We’re any of the 20s teams colorful at all?

I think so.   Here is a website that I use when researching uniforms.

https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=yearly&year=1923

Check it out.  Several teams in the NFL came and went throughout the 1920’s and so there is a wide variety of uniforms.

Yeah, pretty much just travel clubs hitching on for a while.  Interesting to see the names and cities.  They probably never thought about existing for over 100 years

One thing about the players of the 20's and 30's. They were a lot smaller than today's players and wore less padding.

Hall of Famer Wilbur “Pete” Henry, aka “Fats,” was one of the NFL’s largest and most dominant linemen in the 1920s at 5 feet 11 inches and 245 pounds, but would be dwarfed by present-day players such as 6 foot 6 inch, 313-pound New Orleans offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk.
