Football for your ball marker

I buy this button package from Joanns’s fabrics store.  It is in their decorative buttons section.

Just cut off the loop on the back side and you are ready to add your football to magnets or felt.

That's awesome, I was planning on trying something similar to these beads from Michael's for my kick returns, but the Joanne's buttons lie flat.

The beads might work better for those dangling ones on a stick though (I forget the name).

Lol, I have those also but I stack 3 on a dowel for each team and use it to track timeouts left per team.

just remove one when a timeout is used.  (In my solitaire league, the SSEFL, timouts can be used to reroll a play selection.  Or It can be used to change the rolled play to the opposite side direction).  
This is useful as I will run a few plays then do other things and hours, sometimes days, later come back to do a few more plays.  It is sometimes hard to remember timeouts used.

That's a good idea, I may have to use that as well. I was going to wire up a blue LED on my sideboards for my Electric Sevens Indoor Football Association (each team gets 1 TO per drive), but if I get in a pinch I may use beads or something low-tech. 😁

Watch out on this. Some of those beads are HUGE. If it's for Solitaire play, then that should be all good, but if it's for league play a larger ball makes for an easier target to touch for both sides. 

I started sticking the Saturn ball on a magnet with a leftover plastic goalpost piece sticking out the top as a handle.
