  1. I buy this button package from Joanns’s fabrics store. It is in their decorative buttons section. Just cut off the loop on the back side and you are ready to add your football to magnets or felt.
  2. I wanted to add that in the TVEFL we have decided to allow the offense coach to decide which ball marker he wants to use. sometimes you may want the magnet as there is a chance that hitting the magnet will turn your receiver upfield. This is useful on sideline passes.
  3. My painting is likewise nothing to celebrate. speaking of which, i am currently painting one squad of my tudor Army team to white jerseys so I will have both light and dark jerseys. (And adding a center, QB, extra RB)
  4. They may be ugly but it is nice to know you own a piece of EF history. Whoever painted them did a rough job but they are nice and colorful.
  5. I had a strong idea that you would be the one with the answer. Thank you, you are my favorite museum curator!
  6. Normally I would be rooting for the Bengals but I would like to see Stafford do good so my guess for real game is Rams 27, Bengals 25. Electric Football game score is Rams 21, Bengals 17.
  7. Sorry just realized that article is from the nefgm site
  8. I did not create this article, not sure who did; Figure Guide for Tudor collectors: The Electric Football Collector website was created to share my electric football figure collection. I am pleased to share my collection with all interested in electric football figures and I hope the website can serve as a benchmark for collectors present and future to help identify authentic Tudor/Miggle NFL figures. Collector Information In 1967 Tudor produced the 1967 Big Men deluxe figures (known as "67 Big Men") painted to represent the 16 NFL teams and 9 AFL teams. The original 16 NFL teams came in both white and dark jerseys, while the 9 AFL teams only S came in dark. The success of the 1968 NY Jets resulted in Big Men white jersey NY Jets. They are the only AFL team to have both dark and white jerseys. 1967 Big Men teams are very detailed and look like the true NFL teams of that time. All 1967 Big Men teams have the words "Hong Kong" engraved on the bottom of the base and have more detailed sleeve and sock stripes. . In early 1969 Tudor switched to slightly smaller men, known as "Hog Legs". Early Hog Leg teams came in dark and white jerseys for the old 16 NFL teams and dark jerseys only for the 10 AFL teams (the Cincinnati Bengals were introduced in this time frame to make 10 AFL teams) Hog Legs are less detailed than the 67 Big Men. Also, Hog Legs were produced in an era where several teams went through uniform changes ( saints, vikings, redskins, eagles ), thus their are more variations of Hog Leg teams. Hog Legs are identified with normally 4 men having the "Hong Kong" engraving on the bottom of their base. In later Tudor production both NFL and AFL Hog Leg teams could be purchased in white and dark jerseys. In 1971 Tudor switched their men again and made what we call "Chicken Legs". Chicken Legs are almost the same size as Hog Legs but not as thick and not as detailed. Chicken Legs were made from 1971 until 1974. Tudor moved production in late 1974 to Haiti. The teams produced are known as Haiti Figures they are bigger than Hog Legs but smaller than 1967 Big Men. Haiti figures are known best for nice neat paint jobs. Haiti Figures can be identified by little "burs" on each side of their base on the bottom side. The 3 lineman figures have either a recessed or protruded dot or circle on their butts. Very similar to what the older Hog Leg teams are like. Each figure also had an identifier number on the underside of the base. A letter/number combination. These letter/number combos were larger in scale than those used on the older Hong Kong figures. All of the Hong Kong and Haiti teams from 1967 until about 1975/1976 had black shoes. In 1976 this changed and all Tudor figures after that are produced with white shoes. There were actually 2 versions of Haiti figures produced. The early version had the shoes painted black, like the 67 Big Men, Hog Leg & Chicken Leg Hong Kong figures. These are referred to as BS teams. The BS figures were only produced for a couple of years. Coinciding with the NFL teams wearing white shoes, Tudor began leaving the shoes on the figures white or the shoes were painted white on the amber figures. In 1978/1979 production was switched back to Hong Kong where it stayed until the early 90's when China took over production. A company called Miggle took over Tudor and produced NFL Electric Football figures and some major college teams. Miggle reproduced their own version of 1967 Big Men teams. Miggle Teams can be identified by the team logo stamped on the helmet and some teams with the logo stamped on the sleeves. 1967 Big Men teams also have the words "Pro Line" on the top of the base. Miggle Regular NFL teams have the team logo stamped on the helmet and some have the team log stamped on sleeves. Miggle Regular NFL teams do not have a hole in the base. Miggle was purchased by Tudor in 2015. In 2015 Tudor produced a new line of NFL teams which are known as Haiti Repro Figures. The new teams are more detailed and have the best paint quality than any of the previous Tudor/Miggle figures. All of the new Tudor teams have the word "China" on the bottom of the base. Most Tudor/Miggle/Tudor NFL teams fall under one of the above described characterizations however, there are many variations that exist one in particular is the "Amber Figures" and there are many others. The beauty of collecting Electric Football teams is that there is a lot of variety. Have fun collecting and feel free to contact me if you have any input or corrections to add to the information I have provided. Happy collecting my friends!!! Abbreviation Legend DJ = Dark Jersey WJ = White Jersey SH = Stamped Helmet SS = Stamped Sleeve SB = Solid Base
  9. I got these figures from an antique shop very cheap. I got 5 eleven man teams. They look similar to Tudor manufacturing but as you can see their poses are not the same ad the fab 5. if anyone can identify their maker I would appreciate it.
  10. The old Tudor foam balls were quite bouncy But hard to find those. the tudor felt give a good initial bounce but then die quickly. I think 3rd snd long are probably your best bet. Although Tudors leather ball (aka: the ice cream sandwich ball) may be worth a look.
  11. And here is a pic of a smaller “footprint” for a sliding ball marker using the saturn size footballs as the cushion.

  13. IMG_1010.MOV I have been using a magnet ball marker when using passing sticks, but after watching Xtreme Electric Football videos on YouTube and seeing their use of a sliding ball marker I have moved started usinh that idea. I really like it. The magnet stops the receiver and allows the defense to get closer before the field is stopped. the sliding marker allows the receiver to continue movement. here is a video of a TD catch that would not have happened if it had been a magnet. By the way this was a playoff game so it was nice to get that TD!
  14. Yeah that is reasonable but we like having the defense “knock the ball loose”. In the TVEFL Had the hit and fall happened a few seconds later it would have been a catch and then a fumble.
  15. If you notice Blaine’s Safety is engaged, however, it is a downfield lineman and in the TVEFL downfield linemen are removed from the play. That freed his safety to make that incredible TD saving hit. in the TVEFL this is ruled an incompletion.
  16. I thought my Warhawks had this TD in the bag but Blaine’s safety had other ideas! FullSizeRender.mov IMG_0919.MOV

  18. Thank you. It was an awesome season. next season will begin in August.
  19. In the TVEFL we set up in the middle if the field. We started playing on smaller fields and so it was simply a matter of room. Last season we played on an Ultimate Field so we have the room now. We just did not think to change. I will propose that for next year.

  22. Last week the Undefeated Denver Broncos met the defending Champion Nampa Warhawks in Treasure Bowl VI. The Broncos were seeking to achieve the first perfect season in the TVEFL, while the Nampa Warhawks were hoping to be the first team to win back to back league championships. First Half: In the opening drive the Warhawks offense moved steadily downfield reaching the Bronco 24 yard line. The Broncos stopped the drive with an interception in the endzone. The Broncos offense picked up two first downs but then a sack and a tackle for loss put them at 4th and 22. This was likely the play of the game, the Broncos RB swung out of the backfield then slipped and fell. Standing the RB up meant adding the orange stick to the white stick for placing the ball marker. But with all other receivers covered Coach Blaine decided to risk it. His RB came thru with the catch and the Broncos scored soon after, taking the lead 6 - 0. The Warhawks answered with a 67 yard Touchdown pass and made the PAT to put the score at 7 - 6. Trouble started on the Broncos next drive as the Warhawks looper intercepted a pass. The Warhawks RB then scored on a sweep to the left. Score 14 - 6. The Broncos were stopped on their next drive and that ended the first half. Second Half: the Broncos got moving and scored. Going for two they successfully ran it in to tie the score at 14. The Warhawks quickly moved the ball down to the Bronco 2 yd line but then found themselves at fourth and goal from the two. It was Gut check time for both teams as the Warhawks went for it. The Warhawk FB followed his Right Tackle into the endzone to regain the lead. Score 21-14. The Broncos on a good Kick return and a long Blue Stick catch found themselves at the Warhawk’s two yard line. They plunged over the goal line bringing the score to 21 - 20 as their two point try was stopped by the Warhawk Defense. The game was now in the 4th Quarter and the Warhawks began grinding out first downs and draining the game clock. But at the Bronco 22 Yardline the drive stalled. It was 4th and two with just 5 plays left in the game. If they get the first down the game is over. The Warhawks got what they wanted, a wide open white stick pass to their star receiver, but he just couldn’t catch the pass. So the Broncos take over at their own 22 yard line with just 4 plays left. First they hit a pass for 20 yards. Then one for 11 yards. With two plays left they still had 46 yards to go. The next play we will call “the mile high hail Mary”. A long blue stick pass completed but the Warhawk Cornerback saves the TD by making the tackle at the 3 yard line. So last play of the game with 3 yards go for the TD. Due to the kicking issues the Broncos have had they chose to go for the TD rather than try a FG. The Warhawks had no time outs and that hurt them here as substitutions had to be done quickly. In the confusion the Broncos split end was left uncovered and he pulled in the White stick pass. Broncos win 26 to 21 on the last play of the game. This is Coach Blaine’s first championship and it closes out the TVEFL’s undefeated season. I will get some videos posted later.
