Thank you for the compliment! I really do enjoy applying Uni-Forms. It’s responsible for bringing me back to the hobby in a big way!

No need to go to the lobby. The Convention and Tournament area is plenty big enough to keep everything inside the Convention area. We actually have a conference room that can be divided into two separate rooms.

  2. You can find most of the pliers that people use in the Jewlery Making section of Hobby Lo9bby or Michaels. The main thing you want is smooth jaw (not serrated) pliers. Model Train Shops is also a good place to find them. Xuron is the name brand but usually more expensive. Amazon.com : Xuron

  3. If you are planning on coming to Tudor Con 2024, the Tudor Games ELECTRIC FOOTBALL Tournament and Convention in Murfreesboro, TN, the weekend of April 19 - 21, 2024. 4. Following along these lines, here is an article I wrote recently, for the Coffin Corner publication of the Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA) of which I am a member. Not sure when it will be published, but my understanding is that copies of this publication go to every NFL team and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

An NFL of our Own Revisions 01272024.pdf

One of my goals for the Museum is to get a permanent exhibit, or at least a temporary one of vintage electric football games in the PFHOF. They have done a temporary one before in 2000, I believe, in conjunction with a Miggle Toys / Tudor Games Convention and Super Bowl Tournament that was also covered by Sports Illustrated.

There have been several electric football tournaments there in the past, but none in the last several years.

  5. When I show electric football to kids for the first time, I mainly just set the players up in an offensive and defensive formation and turn the game on. Yes, I think they are more fascinated by the fact that the players actually run and move on their own. I have let kids spend 15 to 20 minutes just setting up the players however they want and watching them run without really getting into setting up actual plays and trying to teach them how the game is actually played. I leave it up to the kids to decide if they want to actually get into the nuances of learning how to play the game like it was intended to be played. It is usually the older kids who have some understanding of how to play real football that actually want to learn how to pass and kick the ball and how to make tackles and play an actual game.

  6. Awesome reply, Curt Thanks!! I understand your reluctance to turn over your model railroad sized cars to the borderline autistic 9-year-old. I would up going the next day to buy a newer Tudor Games model 9082 game board that I had been watching for a while on Facebook Marketplace. It was someone that I had bought some stuff from before. But because this young man was a Titans fan, I wound up putting my 2 favorite teams from my solitaire league (the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Oilers with the bases) to create a Titans edition game set along with a Titans team name end zone sticker. It did "pain" me to do this, but since I have not played solitaire in over a year, it wasn't really that big a deal, and besides I can always paint new teams for my solitaire league. Unfortunately, I was not home when my wife gave the game to the kid and from what she has told me it was a big hit with his older brother and Father. who have since been to my "museum" to see the rest of my collections. So, in the end it was very well worth it to give this family the gift of this special electric football game and again the whole reason I do what I do and the main reason the museum was created.

(AMC had a winner with the look of the Javelin in the day. I understand that that the performance was another matter.)

Man!! My Brother had a Javelin back in the day. What I learned to drive a stick shift on.

My Brother and his 1968 AMC Javelin.  This picture is probably sometime in the mid 1970's.

  8. Something I have been working on for a while is restoring old vintage game boards to a working condition and with new graphics. Here are my first attempts. I have taken vintage Tudor game boards and rebranded them to The National ELECTRIC FOOTBALL Game Museum's EFg Brand of Electric Football Game Boards. by completely recovering the playing field with new field covers and the side framing with new graphics. This was done with vinyl adhesive backed "Car Wrap" material and professionally printed and applied by a local sign and graphic company. Very pleased with how these turned out. EFgGeneric6601.thumb.jpg.3af0cc80f9e0ac3d37d0dd4cf4118cd8.jpg

  9. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Android Version 13. Around a year old maybe 2. Tablet is a 5-year-old Samsung Galaxy 10. you can get a countdown clock that talks. Several different kinds on amazon.

I also use download Free Scoreboard Apps. I have one on my Tablet. Sometimes I just use the stopwatch app on my phone. I write up a complete play by play as the game progresses and then go back and compile stats. I know there are people that use Excel spreadsheets for all this, but I don't know how to do that.

I am pretty sure you can find software to do whatever you want on the internet might have to pay for it though.

  10. Anthony Burgess has again produced and downloaded some of the videos from his MPFL DVD Production to YouTube. I would encourage anyone wanting to learn more about this system to subscribe to his channel and click like if you are enjoying and learning anything from these videos.

Personally, i love this system. And would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to add more realism to their game.
