Basically, I am trying to develop a neighborhood youth electric football league to run out of my garage this summer to help facilitate introducing the game and hobby to a new generation.
Don't know exactly how that is going to work. but we shall see. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Keep 'em coming.

I am trying to develop a simple set of rules for teaching kids from 8 years old and up how to play electric football. What would you suggest?

Hoping B-Nut brings back one of the popular Super Bowl Edition game boards in 2024 too!
Which one are you wanting? Tudor can already reproduce any field graphics from the vintage games as vinyl and magnetic field covers to fit any of their current line of game boards.

The big event at Tudorcon seems to be the opportunity to compete against other coaches
Absolutely!! That is the main purpose of most electric football gatherings and why events like TudorCon were ever started in the first place. Read the history: Plugged IN!! – The National Electric Football Game Museum (nefgm.org), The Tweak – The National Electric Football Game Museum (nefgm.org

Tudor Games
April 23, 2024
I just want to say that this weekend was a dream come true! Thank you to everyone who supported this event. It went better than I ever dreamed.
I want to thank the people who volunteered their time and energy to make this a huge success.
Thank you Joel Pritchard (my close friend). Thank you for building all the boards and transporting most of the warehouse to Murfreesboro!
Thank you David Haydel! Like I told you, I’m not having an event unless you are there! You worked all weekend with really no break at all.
Thank you Chris Lemay! You did all of the leg work to find the hotel and it was amazing.
Thank you Ron Mango. You came through on the Trophies when I forgot to order them.
Thank you David Nickles! Thank you for always supporting these events and bringing the equipment and helping us in so many ways.
Thank you RK! Thank you for giving up your time and energy to keep everyone in the know about the event. We are praying for you!!!
Thank you Major for helping us load up everything to take back!
Most of all, thanks to my amazing wife Anne. She sacrifices a lot and puts up with this craziness. She’s the best!
Congrats on all who participated. We had a lot of first time coaches and I hope you had a good time and will play again. Congrats to the final four coaches- Raiderman, Adrian, Hulk and Frank Jacobs. You guys played great.
Raiderman and Adrian battled to the very end and I want to congratulate both of you for the way you played and the sportsmanship you both showed. True champions!
Raiderman - you did it! Congratulations on being the Tudor national champion. You had an amazing run. That secondary was amazing.
It was great meeting new people and seeing people I haven’t seen in so long.

It was a great weekend. Thanks for the pics Terry 43. I have several and there are hundreds more that can be found on Facebook. There is video of the Championship game on Facebook. and hopefully I will be able to download it for my files. The tournament was won by Paul "Raiderman" Bartels over Adrian Baxter in one of the more exciting Championship Games I have seen in a while. Fanks Jacobs and Jim "Hulk" Davis were the other conference Championship participants. Overall, there were 40 coaches participating in the tournament. A good mix of Veteran Coaches and first-time tournament coaches. The rules were very easy to play. and everyone seemed to enjoy playing by these rules.
Myself and several others meet with Bryan Nutt and his wife Anne last night to discuss the successes of this tournament and ways we can improve for next year. YES!! we plan to make this an annual event.
It was great seeing and reconnecting with people that I had not seen in a while and also meeting and talking with a lot of the new people that have come into the game and hobby.
The round robin games were played on the new mini ultimate size game boards. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a new game board to get one of these.
It will take me a while to get rested from and caught up with everything. but I will post more as I have time. All I can really say for now is start planning to attend next year. It promises to be bigger and even better than this year's event.

Ok, thanks for that. Perhaps then maybe one day, Collector's Corner will help out. I'll keep looking, thinking, and praying for ways to get you and the NEFGM promoted. Blessings, Curt 🙂
Thanks, I truly appreciate it very much.

That's OK. Thanks for trying. We are classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and as an educational museum.

The market for this is very small and yes finding a game board that is free of dents or completely free of defects is very hard.

Field covers have already been msde with a lot of the old designs. Many of the mini ultimate boards being used today in the Tudor Con Tournament have these vintage field cover designs on them.
Tthere are plenty of the old 620 game boards in circulation that can be restored with new vinyl adhesive graphics. I have done several already.
Miggle Toys did replicate the old 620's with their new 620's in 2004. I currently have 3 of those.
I do have the opportunity to buy a vintage College Edition this weekend to add to the Museum's collection.
To completely manufacture new 620's would be very expensive and the market demand for them just isn't there to justify the cost.
Todays market is more for custom built 2' x 4' game boards with multiple magnetic field covers and Tudor has that covered with the ultimate game boards and the ability to produce any field cover any body could want.

Here is a brochure that was recently added to the NEFGM Library on Base Tweaking by Buzzball owner George Diamond. At one time Buzzball bases were the preferred bases over ITZ.

No I don't know the true originator of the passing sticks. Rules 2000 is the first rule set I know of that describes a method of passing using sticks.

Coffee cup warmer or candle warmer is what most use to heat pliers. I found one at Goodwill several years ago. They are not that expensive. https://www.amazon.com/ASAWASA-Candle-Electric-Practical-Portable/dp/B09YCVYCQ2/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1OPI7LIRMFYDT&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.A7sPSVio0ISo5aJmgopCqNYfKANabXERLnkLw9EOizbnL9nLstQ-PruGWrJPKJsNOgbPfx03OcxIx69ofjHHFFqI61vT1vHxvt0m32BbJ0yP9SOKqCOe-vu606BTnu6bKmP5Jz7o5R5hspiiWfwYu9gnck_3D8DsWjwZw50d4vFtwRQJ-y_Sh34IHq6LDov9KB7MxJcM19L_zxJnL6CbNw.h1kURssaEyup8EyZAZogpTF13k89yGHeiRCGPB16JRo&dib_tag=se&keywords=candle+warmer&qid=1714821730&sprefix=candle%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-4
