  1. Coach T, you'd become the 72' Dolphins all over again #Undefeated https://tenor.com/view/nfl-deion-sanders-prime-time-gif-13844734405043846354 https://tenor.com/mdCNJPfhoTa.gif
  2. Sorry, here's the rule book if you can't copy/paste from above... EFHL 4th Edition Rule Book (1) (2).pdf
  3. Dag-Nabit! You just had to burst my bubble Coach T. That was the one chance I had of bringing home the championship trophy on Sunday afternoon.... Maybe "Prime Time" has his own league out there in Colorado? If so, I'll be frequenting Hobby Lobby for that perfect hue of Burgundy & Gold. 🏈🖌️
  4. Interesting that you bring up the idea of crowd noise and home field advantage. The person who inspired my concept of "Franchise players" (I won't mention his name, LOL) created a rule book that includes that very idea. Each position has a special ability, and the Guards on the offensive line and the ends on the defensive are the ones that help a visiting team to be less susceptible to said problem. Both can be found on page 95 of the EHFL rulebook. Another idea is icing the kicker with timeouts. I think the defensive coach has to call a timeout to get inside the kickers head by rolling a certain number on the dice. That's on page 93 if interested: file:///C:/Users/13022/Downloads/EFHL%204th%20Edition%20Rule%20Book%20(1)%20(2).pdf
  5. 😂 Coach Terry. You've got to be the most enjoyable coach to play against: win, lose or draw. 💯
  6. You see? These are minor details that to me, make the overall concept more exciting. That's a subtle, but effective way of showing how not all players are the same and it affects the overall gameplan as a result. Thanks for sharing. 👍
  7. As always, an insightful comment coach. Yes, I think I understand the dilemma being presented here. However, a true professional will always look at the ideas and not necessarily the person presenting them. Good on ya' mate. 👍💪🤝
  8. Just as long as it's still realistic though, LOL. Obviously, one can get carried away with specifics and details or distracted with concepts that are only meant to support the main theme, so my goal was to find a balance. We'll see...
  9. 👍 Sorry about that Coach Chris. I didn't realize that was the rule. Thanks for letting me know.🤝 But come one, who doesn't wanna have the best looking "Hogs" as they possibly can? LOL
  10. I'm Loving this idea Coach Terry! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 Oh, I voted "some other percentages" also 😉
  11. Cool idea. One idea I picked up is when throwing across the field, you take into account how far, which as you know, can be further when throwing a 5 yard pass than say a 10 or 15 yarder right over the middle. Therefore, you might consider subtracting a percentage for each zone (the field is divided into 5 zones by using the hashmarks and numbers). Coach Terry isn't exactly a fan of this gentleman on account of his, errr, rambling, but I submit that he does offer good ideas. Here's his video (FYI, there's a note card he holds up around the 7 minute mark if you want to write down the numbers for an idea on what to go by for passing percentages):
  12. How much would you charge to do the 82' skins (with a Darrell Green figure at CB)? The guy that painted my team charged me $150, and I think you outdid him!
  13. It's being creative and thinking outside the box, so I can't expect everyone to understand the concept. It's more like a role playing game, and also more realistic when you factor in players who have more ability than others, because that's how life is, and that's how football is. If you're not ready for it, you're not ready for it...
  14. Nothing unique there Coach T. There's a thing called life, but I digress... Wait what? What if my left tackle wants to identify as a dog? 🤣 Oh, never mind... Right on. One thing I was also looking at was how the chess pieces are different sizes. It's kind of reverse though in that the pawns are smaller and the rest (i.e. Rooks, Knights, Bishops, King and Queen) are larger. In the same way, I was hoping to make the O-line and D-line the 67 Big men until you mentioned they can get pushed around by the Haiti Repros. However, I think I'd like to try at least one team like that and see what happens. Mind you, I'm going to be weighting the bases like both Coach Chris and you discussed in the thread about base tweaking, etc. (I've already began weighing my bases to around 5 grams). Additionally, I have the Blitz bases from ITZ which may or may not be special compared to other bases....but the reason I went with them is because they have 3 categories: Power for lineman, Strength for Backers and TE's/FB's, and Speed for skilled position players. Hopefully, this combination will allow for the most realism. If you have any more suggestions, please feel free to share....🙏
  15. Fascinating! Coach, I feel like with all this background info. and knowledge you could open up a museum of sorts. Oh wait...
  16. Coach Terry, I'm not sure what you mean.... On the one hand you're saying you didn't like them because they got outmuscled by the Haiti Repro, but on the other it seems like you're suggesting that 67 big men are the best. Did I misunderstand?
  17. Or what about the Beenutt figures?
  18. Interesting Coach. That was exactly what I was trying to determine before instructing my painter to order those figures. You've saved the day! 🤝🏆 Would you say the same thing about the ITZ figures which are a little larger than the Haiti Repro figures?
  19. That's good to know Coach Chris. My goal was simply to have a more aesthetically pleasing look by having the lineman be larger.... Do you know of any figures like ITZ or Beenutt figures that could potentially be "mid-sized" so they could serve as Tight ends, fullbacks and linebackers while the Haiti Repro figures fit in the lineup at the skill positions (i.e. DB's, QB's, HB's and WR's)? I can't tell on the computer if those ITZ and Beenutt figures are as big as the 67 Big men or not...
  20. There's no question Earl Campbell would have been the most popular player for a lot of E.F. coaches, but I bet he regretted that trade when the Eagles went to the Super Bowl in 80', followed by the rise of the Redskins dynasty and then there's that L.T. guy up in New York who let's just say made an impact. 💪👊
  21. Yeah, I guess it's just one more detail in the aesthetic part of the game. My only concern was that the 67 Big Men might be too much for Haiti repro when they come into contact say when a RB is lead blocking against and end. But it's the base that matters right? The size of the figure shouldn't be a factor correct?
  22. They say offense draws crowds (or sells tickets), but defense wins championships. I feel like that was the difference, because had the Quick and the Deads linebackers not fallen for the window dressing and fake sweeps, they'd be in position for the HB up the gut (something you'd expect from Shamrock Bay if you learned the scouting report). The defensive coordinator really needs to show those boys some game film this off-season...📹🎥
  23. 🤣 My apologies to Beenutt, as I've nothing but respect for him at this point because he seems like a genuinely good guy.....but when Coach Daryl gave that analogy, I just couldn't resist in the same way Mike Teevee can't resist a great movie or Augustus Gloop his favorite homemade pie. 🥧😋
  24. Oh, I can hear him now: "Oompa Loompa doo-pa-dee do, I've got another painted team for you...Oompa Loompa doo-pa-dah dee, if you're wise you'll listen to me."
  25. How about the size comparison? Are they too big to play alongside the Haiti Repro style, or could the Beenutt figures possibly be used as Lineman? Or maybe 67 Big Men could be used as offensive/defensive line and Beenutt figures as Tight ends and Linebackers and Haiti Repro as defensive backs and receivers. What do you guys think?
