  2. Scared the #%&X!*# out of me. ๐Ÿคข So, my wife has a magnetic dishwasher cover. I took the dishwasher cover off and laid it on my football field. I put one of my nuts and bolts peeps on the dishwasher cover and turned the power on. The little peep took off (whew!) just like normal. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ™Œ Brilliant observation. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey (no matter how frightening). T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ

  5. Hi Chris, Thank you. ๐Ÿ™Œ I would bet that an email to Earl Shores or Roddy Garcia would deliver a definitive answer. I don't know them. Do you? Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  6. What is Black Anodizing? Black anodizing refers to the process of blackening an aluminum part by first performing standard anodizing to create a semi-porous aluminum oxide layer. The oxide layer is then dyed black using one of three dyeing techniques: organic dyes, inorganic dye, or electrolytic dyeing using metal salts. What is the Purpose of Black Anodizing? Black anodizing is performed to achieve an aesthetic or functional black color on an aluminum part while also improving the corrosion and wear properties of the underlying aluminum component. I like the looks of the black anodized aluminum. I think corrosion protection is probably unnecessary for an electric football field. The brushed aluminum looks great on my snow field. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  7. There is a visible difference that the two single clips are from different molds and probably different eras. Here is the top and bottom of the alleged Hog Leg bases. Note the circles on the top and the number front and center on the bottom. Here is the top and bottom of the alleged Chicken Legs bases. Note there is no distinguishing features on the top of the base and the number is larger and centered at the back of the base. As near as I can discover Tudor started manufacturing Single-clips around 1965 and did so until 1973~74 and the introduction of TTC Bases. From 1965 to 1969 Tudor manufactured Big Men. The football figures known as Hog Legs were manufactured from 1969 to 1971. From 1971 to 1974 the football figures are skinnier and known as Chicken Legs. Of course, the definitive book The Unforgettable Buzz should resolve this question somewhere in its 600 pages but from my reading it doesn't. At least not that I can discover. Neither does the Full Color Electric Football book. So I will hazard a guess. The Aqua Single Clips have the same circular marks as the bases designated Hog Legs so I will venture they came either before, or after, or during the manufacture of the alleged Hog Legs. This would make them made in Hong Kong Bases. The alleged Chicken Leg bases have the same distinguishing characteristics as the Red Peg bases so I will venture they were manufactured about the same time and that would make them made in Haiti, or made in China bases. Finally the Aqua bases are chemically unstable. All Aqua bases have an oxidation residue that wipes away. On page 244 of the Unforgettable Buzz the authors write, "... Norman Sas and Lee Payne decided that using well-known division rivalries would create the widest appeal in selling the games. The new NFL flagship model (the 620) would feature the Eastern Division Giants and Browns." The 1967 model 620 also featured Aqua single-clip bases. I know this for certain because I have one. The plastic may be unstable but My God are they fast. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  8. I finally found it. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Choose Field Cover Style Vinyl (non-removeable) Magnetic (removeable) + $10.00 I wonder if there are any plans to license Big Sky Conference teams? I'm in the market for a magnetic Grizzlies field cover. The University of Montana Grizzlies are ranked #2 in the FCS and are playing for the national championship. Perhaps a magnetic Montana Grizzly snow field? Sooooo Coooool ๐ŸŽ… Enjoy the Journey. T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  9. Santa brought the 2024 draft today. 100_3776.mov The Red Peg Bases will become draft choices for my Red Peg Rhino team and the Aqua Bases will become draft choices for my Oughtin' Otters Team. I'll probably do a uniform redesign for the Red Rhinos. I know there's a visible difference between Hog Leg players and Chicken Leg players, but I never knew there was a visible difference in the single-clip bases. Now that someone on eBay has pointed out the difference I'm delighted to announce I will be creating two more teams. One team will ride exclusively on the Chicken Leg Bases and the other team will ride exclusively on the Hog Leg Bases. ๐Ÿ›ท Merry Christmas and thank you Santa! ๐ŸŽ… Enjoy the Sleigh Ride ๐Ÿ›ท T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ

  12. Your teams, uni-forms and painted, look outstanding. There's something intrinsically satisfying about a precise hemet logo, or precise pant leg stripes, or precise shoulder stripes. Well invested mad money. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Color coordinated bases. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ I'm curious, Coach Daryl, why did you select single-direction bases (Rookie bases) for the offensive line? I do the same for my Tudor steel bases, red peg bases, and aqua single clips, but I have alternate offensive linemen who block in different directions than the starting 5. Are you doing something like that? Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  13. Luv it! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Fast. Random. No penalties. Ticks all the boxes. The spinner shaft should be mounted in a ball bearing housing for a smooth spin. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ

  15. In the first game of the season the Knights in White Satin ran up 56 points against the Egyptians, but in that game the Egyptians scored 42 points of their own. Then in Game 12 the Egyptians' offense scored 44 points and the Egyptians' defense held the Oughtin' Otters to 27 points. In my Howard Cosell / Dandy Don Meredith addled brain I thought the Egyptians would score over 40 points and that would be enough to eliminate the Quick and the Dead. After all, the Egyptians beat the Oughtin' Otters and the Oughtin' Otters beat the Quick and the Dead in game 6. However, electric football โ€” and the rules I play by โ€” creates a lot of unexpected twists and turns. The Quick and the Dead roared out of the Basement scoring 46 points against the Golden Grizzlies and 55 points against the Hoosiers. Perhaps I should've been more alert to the good fortune of the current Quick and the Dead Team and they are coming into the ๐Ÿ”ฅPlayoffs red hot. ๐Ÿ”ฅ The Knights in White Satin are playing the GTO in the next Playoff Game. This is a rematch. In Game 7 the GTO beat the Knights in White Satin 49 to 42. I believe the Knights must score 50 points to beat the GTO. The Knights scored 56 against the Egyptians but they needed scoring help from their defense to win that game. Can't wait to play! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  16. I'm learning a new software for making game video. So I'll upload it now and write about the Playoff Game later. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Quick and the Dead vs the Egyptians3.mp4 This software is more labor intensive but I like it much, much better. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ

  18. I voted because you used the Poll feature of the Forum and that is so damn cool I just had to participate. I checked, "Some other distribution," so you should throw my vote out because I don't use passing sticks. Thank you for using the Poll feature. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ In Vegas, in the game of Craps, the odds look like this: So, for short (i.e. blue stick) passes (2 dice, both D6) use a roll of a 6, or of a 7, or of a 8. That will give you a 44.44% chance of a completion. For a medium (i.e. white stick) range pass use a roll of a 4, or of a 5, or of a 9, or of a 10. That gives you a 38.88% chance of a completion. For the long (i.e. red stick) pass use a roll of a 2, or of a 3, or of a 11, or of a 12. That would give you a 16.68% chance of a completion. According to Sports Illustrated, "The league's interception rate (the percentage of pass attempts that are intercepted) has been below 2.5% in each of the past four seasons, and through only three weeks of the 2019 season we're on pace for the all-time low of 2.17%" So you could get creative and keep the 12 as an interception (2.78%), and for the short pass you could use a roll of a 5, or a 6, or a 7, or an 8 and that would get the completion rate up to 55.55%. If you add the D10s together, instead of using the dice for tens and ones, then the distribution will be the same. With D10s you will have 100 possible combinations instead of 36 (6 X 6 = 36 vs 10 X 10 = 100). I believe your League's idea has considerable merit. I believe it would fun to be in your League for a season to see how the Dice / Passing Stick Plan plays out. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  19. I agree with everything Daryl wrote ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ except this tiny part. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜ƒ I never mess with the front prongs except to flash with a flame. I agree whole-heartedly with this step. ๐Ÿ‘ In my experience most tweaking can be avoided if the base and figure are weighted up to at least 5 grams. ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ The Law of Diminishing Returns sets in. Each successful tweaking sets the bar (or measure of success) a bit higher. Tweaking is necessary but it's playing the game that's the thing. As far as I can tell the Law of Diminishing Returns never sets in on playing this crazy game of Electric Football. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  20. I've felt the same way at times. It seems odd to write a book that no one will read, or paint a picture that no one will see, or writing a song that no one will hear. The wide-spread sharing seems to be the Return on Investment. However, I'm not sure about that external notion of Return on Investment. Writing the book is a journey. Painting the picture is a journey. Writing a song is a journey. The intrinsic value (for me) is in the journey. My posts on the Tudor Forum are a journey. Like Henry David Thoreau I'm happy to make my electric football journey alone, but I don't know, and most people don't know, about the ripples. The ripples the LIEFL created reached Cody, Wyoming. I will miss those ripples. But I have the memories. I might be mistaken but I believe memories are all we get to take with us on the journey. Thank you for the memories.. Enjoy the Journey. 21. The GTO put up more of a team effort. TB #37 rushed for 234 yards on 12 carries. WR / KR #7 had 218 yards in kick returns and 67 receiving yards. GTO highlight reel. A few of the clips are in slow motion. GTO is more of a team effort - SD 480p.mov Correction: TB #37 had 3 Touchdowns Enjoy the journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  22. It was a shoot-out. Left me exhaustedโฃ๏ธ In the end the Shamrock Bay turned an interception into a touchdown and the GTO failed on a 4th down and 2. Shamrock Bay Halfback #35 was the MVP. I get tired just watching him race up and down the field. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ #35's highlight reel. The video clips are in slow motion. 23. Shamrock Bay beat the GTO and punch their ticket into the Fruit Bowl 32. Playing in the Fruit Bowl is familiar ground for Shamrock Bay. They've been in more Fruit Bowls than any other team in the Heavy Metal Electric Football Consortium. Shamrock Bay has also lost more Fruit Bowls than any other team. Shamrock Bay lost Fruit Bowl 5 to the Oughtin' Otters; then lost to the Valkyries in Fruit Bowl 7; followed the next season by a loss to the Norsemen (Fruit Bowl 8). Reminiscent of the Buffalo Bills losing four in a row the Shamrock Bay lost to the Furies in Fruit Bowl 9. Shamrock Bay lost to the Egyptians in Fruit Bowl 11 and that started a rivalry. Shamrock won the their first Fruit Bowl by beating the Egyptians in Fruit Bowl 13; then won their second Fruit Bowl (Fruit Bowl 21) by beating the Egyptians again. In Fruit Bowl 22 the Shamrock Bay slumped back to their losing ways with a loss to the Thunderbirds. Now the Shamrock Bay are back in the Fruit Bowl again. Who will they play? In the Playoffs the GTO will play the Knights in White Satin and on the other side of the bracket the Quick and the Dead are playing the Egyptians. The GTO certainly want a chance to revenge today's 55 to 42 loss, but the Egyptians have a rivalry debt to square. All I can do is hold on as the Hunger Games Roller Coaster careens on to the next level. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  24. Hi Benster from North of the Border. I love the Murdock Mysteries. I have 21 teams in my solitaire league and each team has at least 6 rookie bases. 2 wide receivers / kick returners. 2 TE / Receivers in Passing Situations. 2 running backs. As for tweaking, I make sure the back prongs are tilting backwards. That's about it. If you've watched any of my game videos then you know just how essential rookie bases are to my league. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  25. I think the odds of both dice rolling the same number is 120 to 1. Enjoy the Uncanny T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
