  1. Congrats to the Buffalo Bills and especially #32 on a mind-bending 2100 kick return yards and 7 touchdowns. I'm assuming that was last year's Super Bowl because neither the Bills nor the Lions are in this year's Playoffs. 49 to 35 is a good score. Thank you for setting a good example. I'm so tired of NFL games that end in single digits. Thanks for the video although I'm not sure why you wedged it in the middle of the Gale Sayer's tribute. ๐Ÿค” However, this seems a bit disingenuous. I read your write-ups and I clicked 'Like', but I just played a whole season, posted my videos, and LIEFL never clicked 'Like' on any of my posts. Never interacted. Is it silent admiration or disdain? Perhaps this is the end of an era that started in 1972 and LIEFL's exit is simply one of the last nails in the electric football coffin. Perhaps, it doesn't mean anything at all. I don't know. I did notice that none of the LIEFL players are riding on ITZ bases and all of the plastic figures appear to be Haiti Repos. Once again, I'm not sure if that is meaningful, but it does appear that LIEFL was cutoff from mainstream electric football long before the decision to shut down LIEFL. I apologize for the dips into negative thinking. That's hardly the way to start a new year. I wish the best for all the members of the Long Island Electric Football League wherever their electric football touchdown runs may take them. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  2. Are you aiming for about $300,000? Is there some way to link the Museum to the NFLPA. If you look at Forum Posts for CAPANTHER or LIEFL, or the TOC, they read like a hall of fame. Maybe Canton has some money to give. I'm just thinking that a GoFundMe account might find a broader market if we tie it to remembering the players we love. Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  3. Chris, I copied this sentence and put it in my Heavy Metal Electric Football rule book. I simply cannot say it any better. Thank you. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Excellent observation and I do, "...allow the defensive players to be well into their initial reaction." My basic defense is a 4-3 with two corners and two safeties. Then after I set the offense, I set the defense. Both safeties come down to stuff the run and I turn the MLB to purse the ball carrier. Pass plays are a bit different but the idea is the same. MLBs are very special to me. I spend a lot of time searching for that very special peep that, "Floats like a butterfly and stings like a freakin' freight train." Just like Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, and Dre Greenlaw. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  4. Hi Hornellian. Welcome to the Tudor Forum. Are you familiar with the Electric Football Tournament of Champions? Upcoming Events Fri, Feb 02 Fault Line Rumble Fri, Apr 12 Capitol City Clash Fri, May 31 River City Blast Fri, Jul 26 CON 17 Sat, Sep 21 Texas Twister Fri, Nov 03 Bull City Brawl I've never been to a Tournament of Champions tournament but it's a place to start. There's a tournament called the Glass City Showdown that is up to #7. I'm not sure when it is being played again. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  5. I can't watch his videos. He just rambles on and on and on and on... ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค Have you seen his video where he complains about being banned from the Tudor Forum? He just goes on and on and on and on... ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค These are the peeps you build your team around. Just look at your statistics sheets for each game. The Hall of Famers standout very quickly. In your league do peeps enter free agency and could another coach offer that peep a higher salary? Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  6. Thanks Coach Collins. MLB #58 had a lot of memorable tackles. In this clip the GTO run the same play and #58 cleans up wreckage. I slowed it down to 25%. MLB 58 ibid.mp4 Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  7. If you plan to play in a league, no it is not legal.๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ‘Ž Unless it's my league. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ In a Power Sweep, or Counter Trey, or a Screen Pass, a guard, or tackle, or tight end must pull and get out in front of the ball carrier. I guess we've all seen big guards flatten cornerbacks or linebackers to create a lane to the outside. I put the guard out there at the beginning. I pretend the guard starts out on the line of scrimmage and then pulls to block for the ball carrier. Think Jerry Kramer of Green Bay, or Alan Faneca (Route 66) of Pittsburgh. Some leagues accomplish this with multiple stops. Stop 1 starts the play, Stop 2 they turn the guard around, Stop 3 they point the guard in the correct direction, etc. I avoid the stops and starts, put the guard where I want him, and turn on the power and leave it on until the play is over. I also use the QB as a blocker instead of pulling the Center. This is illegal in every league, except mine. As far as I've observed little plastic peeps don't get concussions, or broken bones, so I use the QB as the third blocker instead of pulling the center, or a second guard. Here's my Power Sweep and I've slowed it down to 33% of actual speed. Pulling Guard in slo mo.mp4 Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  8. An object of the invention is to provide a playing piece having laterally extending lineal supporting members of sufficient stiffness to support the playing piece and which are sufficiently flexible to permit the flexing of the end portions thereof. The supports consist of the downturned end portions of a thin strip of sheet material which may be composed of paper stock, cardboard, synthetic plastics, thin metal and the like. Very interesting. I've tried wood and wood doesn't seem to work. ๐Ÿค” I think it may have something to do with, "sufficiently flexible to permit the flexing of the end portions thereof. Enjoy the Journey. 9. From the patent, "... (B)ut it will be obvious that a resultant of that force will cause said article to move forwardly," Absolutely priceless. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ Made my day. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  10. The wheels came off ๐ŸŽถThe Little GTO๐ŸŽถ. The GTO were down 28 to 42. Running plays on 1st and 2nd down netted -5 yards. So, on 3rd down and 15 on their own 9 yard line QB #5 dropped back into his own End Zone. He scans for an open receiver and there aren't any. Quick and the Dead Strong Safety #43 knocked QB #5 out of the back of the End Zone. SAFETY The GTO kicker shanks the Free Kick and the ball travels only 28 yards. Quick and the Dead WR/KR #4 catches the ball in the air. 100_3904.mov Suddenly the ๐Ÿ”ฅQuick and the Dead๐Ÿ”ฅ are up 51 to 28. Game Over. ๐Ÿ”” Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  11. The Quick and the Dead are absolutely on ๐Ÿ”ฅfire.๐Ÿ”ฅ The Quick and the Dead offense may feature HB #23, but this is a team effort. Look at the hole the Quick and the Dead Special Team opens for WR / KR #4. 100_3883.mov ๐Ÿ”ฅOn Fire๐Ÿ”ฅ I tell you. On 1st and Goal at the 8 yard line TB #33 gets into the game. 100_3884.mov TB #33 carries GTO outside linebacker #53 into the End Zone. Enjoy the Journey T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  12. The GTO Strike Back! 51 yard pass to GTO WR #7. I chose to throw the ball to #7, but both Wide Receivers were open and ended up in the End Zone. GTO make it a one score game.mp4 Kind of looks like WR #7 has pixie dust coming out of his exhaust pipe. ๐Ÿคฃ Coach Terry43 has to start thinking about the Onside Kick. Do it now, or wait until the 4th Quarter? Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  13. Welcome to the Second Half. The Quick and the Dead marched the ball down the field and on 1st and 10 on the GTO 29 yard line, HB #23 scored his fourth touchdown of the game. 100_3874.mov For those keeping statistics, HB #23 now has 157 yards on 10 carries. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  14. It doesn't get any better than thisโฃ๏ธ The score is tied 14 โ€” 14. The Quick and the Dead will receive the 2nd Half Kick Off. But right now they're up against a 4th down and 6 at the GTO 46. There's no tomorrow. Punt or go for it? ๐Ÿค” 100_3855.mov The Quick and the Dead have one of the all time great running backs. There's really no decision. At Halftime the score is Quick and the Dead 21 and the GTO 14. I'm going to bed. ๐Ÿ˜ด Enjoy Halftime T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  15. This is the GTO scoring play of an 11-play drive that started at GTO 27 yard line. The GTO QB #5 drops back and then rolls to his left. All of his receivers are covered except TB #44 coming out of the back field. Quick and the Dead Stong Safety #43 is coming up fast. 100_3845.mov To pass or not to pass that is the question. QB #5 decides to run the ball. He sides steps Strong Safety #43 and... 100_3846.mov Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  16. MLB #58 is a BEAST. This is a must see tackle by MLB #58 of the Quick and the Dead. #58 fights off the block of GTO FB #21, secures the edge, and makes a textbook Stop Forward Progress Tackle. MLB 58 makes textbook tackle.mp4 This play might have picked up 20 yards. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  17. The Quick and the Dead take back the lead. Courtesy of HB #23. HB 23s second touchdown.mp4 HB #23 gets behind Guard #98 and Center #58 opens the hole. HB #23 kind of misses the hole but he still scores a touchdown. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  18. GTO tie the game at 7 to 7. Proset handoff to 1.mp4 In slow motion. Quick and the Dead MLB #58 fills the gap but doesn't make the tackle. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  19. First turnover (Interception) and first touchdown of the game. Who scored the touchdown? You guessed it. Quick and the Dead HB #23. 1st turnover and touchdown.mp4 Enjoy the Journey โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  20. The GTO beat the Knights in White Satin to advance to the semi-final game. This sets up today's unexpected battle between The Quick and the Dead and the GTO. The winner meets the Shamrock Bay in Fruit Bowl 32. The loser watches from the electric football cabinet. For the GTO watch for WR/KR #10. Against the Knights in White Satin #10 had 381 kick return yards and 2 touchdowns. #10 was the game MVP. His 97 yard return of a blocked Field Goal turned the game around. The Knights went from scoring 3 points to being down by 7 points. blocked fieldgoal returned 97 yards.mp4 The Quick and the Dead have a more team-approach to winning. WR/KR #4 had 258 kick return yards and 1 touchdown. HB #23 had 106 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. On defense Free Safety #29 scored a pick six and racked up 3 tackles for lost yards. For a tribute to Quick and the Dead HB #23 see the next post. The Quick and the Dead made it to Fruit Bowl 27 and won the game. HB #23 was the MVP of that Fruit Bowl game so the Quick and the Dead bring a bit of swagger to this semi-final game. I'm really looking forward to this contest. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ซ Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  21. Good questions Brian and I believe Chris at the museum has given you a great answer. My answer is more philosophical. Do you remember the movie Space Cowboys? Tommy Lee Jones (Hawk) has a bit of a soliloquy to the SR-71 Blackbird. He says (paraphrased), "Hawk talks about how ugly it is and how terrible it functions when itโ€™s trying to get up to speed, but once it passes Mach 1 everything clicks into place and it becomes the most impressive piece of airborne machinery ever." Tudor bases like the 1949 steel bases, 1967 Aqua Bases, 1971 Red Peg, and the Superior Toys Monday Night Football butterscotch bases are like the SR-71 Blackbird below mach 1. Add a screw, a washer, and a nut and suddenly those 'ugly' bases are the "most impressive" bases ever. This is true of all bases. When I get a base over 5 grams then it becomes the most impressive base I will ever have the pleasure to build into a team. I have 21 teams and the 1949 steel bases, 1967 Aqua Bases, 1971 Red Peg, and Convention bases all compete equally because I broke the weight barrier. Four of my teams ride on ITZ bases and ITZ bases perform better over 5 grams. Norman Sas and Lee Payne were engineers and I feel certain they knew increased weight makes bases perform better but there is a big difference between functionality and profitability. Sas and Payne had to choose profitability. That's the American Way and I don't disagree with their decision. That decision made this hobby possible. In the Heavy Metal Electric Football Consortium I choose physics and functionality. Enjoy the Journey T43 โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  22. Hi Chris, Very sorry to hear that. ๐Ÿ˜ช The location of the base manufacturing plants may be lost to us. However, if you do find a possible email address for Garcia or Shores I will send an email. Merry Christmas. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
  23. Hi Brian. I have five plays for each formation. Because you are reading this thread I'm assuming you've seen Power I, blocking assignment 3, gap C or D. Here are two more. 24. The figure changed direction also. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ What I know now is that I can go to Amazon and order a full size magnetic refrigerator cover, cut it down to 24" X 48", and add black (Sharpie) yard lines and hashmarks. A whole new world of field covers has opened up to me. Enjoy the Journey. T43. โšก๐Ÿˆโ™พ๏ธ
