At one time Buzzball bases were the preferred bases over ITZ.

Buzzball bases are still my favorites. 😃👍

Thanks for posting the brochures.

OK, I've a slightly different question for experienced E.F. coaches. When testing out a newly tweaked base, do you think it matters whether or not the motor is running efficiently? What I mean is, there's a "sweet spot" on the board somewhere according to experts, so if your motor isn't on that point, could that potentially cause the bases you're tweaking to not run as smoothly and thus turn sideways (even just slightly) when they otherwise wouldn't?

I don't believe so.

I'm not convinced "Sweet Spots" exist. If a "Sweet Spot" was real wouldn't it be very well documented? Starting in 1949 Tudor put the motion generator in the corner and riveted it to the field for the next 30 years.

Also, Tudor puts this sentence in their descriptions of the original and medium-size games,

Quote

New! Tweaked Bases are now included in all Original and Medium-size games! We've added 6 Tudor Rookie and 6 Tudor TTC lightning-fast Bases to each game set to make your skill position players perform like never before!

If there is a 'Sweet Spot' isn't it reasonable that Tudor would point out, "We put the motion generator in the Sweet Spot so you will have the best possible experience right out of the box and your players will perform like never before!"

I would.

Instead, the emphasis is on tweaking (not finding the 'Sweet Spot'}.

A base's plastic spikes have memory so they will resume their original molded state after a play. Methods exist to permanently train your Bases to perform any way you like. This is called "tweaking" and it's a core skill of professional Electric Football coaches.

Permanently is quite a long term word. Is 6 months permanent? Would one year be considered permanent? Five years? In a post in this Forum a coach estimated the average life expectancy of an electric football player to be five years. I think that may be generous.

Enjoy the search for the Holy Grail!   T43.   🏈♾️

👍 Thanks Coach. Been struggling with this concept, lol.
