36x18 Board Build

Hey Guys, 

Does anyone have measurements & instructions for a 36x18 frame. I found Jerry McGhee’s manual for a “Big Board” but since I’m going for a way scaled down board. What measurements and lengths of material/ what appropriate cross bracing is needed for a smaller size ???? Etc etc.  I’d appreciate any advice! Thanks guys!

For that size no cross bracing is necessary. If your playing field is 36 x 18 and your are using 1 x 4 framing. The simplist thing to do is cut the end pieces 18" long and the side pieces 37 1/2" long. You can use 1 x 2's or 1 x 3's on the inside perimeter for the playing field to set on.

To keep it simple, you could use a 620-sized field cover.

Awesome!! That really helps! Thank you! I love the visual :)! Figured I’d try building a smaller board before going bigger like a 24x48!

Yes.  Has anyone made a frame?  I would like to see the results and directions on how to make it.
