Prongs are uneven in length. Prongs should all be the same length in order for a base to run straight. Check this first.

Could be another issue such as one or more prongs slanted back or forward more than the others. All shoud be slanted the same.

Base needs to set level on the gameboard and figures need to be balanced, not leaning right or left.

Tweaking is a science and an art. Takes a lot of trial and error, practice and patience, and unfortunately a lot of ruined bases.

Best thing to do is put a base on a figure and work with that base and figure combination until you get it do do what you want.

What if my TTC base goes in circles no matter how I turn the dial.

Does the base run fast?

If yes, then that TTC base is trying to tell you it is a Looper (Edge Rusher). That guy is going to get more QB sacks and tackles for lost yards than you have hashmarks on your field. 😃👍

Is the base strong? If yes then the base is trying to tell you it is an offensive lineman. If it turns to the left then it is a left guard or left tackle. If it turns to the right then it is a right guard or right tackle. 💪 😃

Is the base fast and strong? OMG. You might very well have a tailback. 🐎

Plastic has memory. Tweaking will cause a temporary change in behavior but the plastic will want to change back to its shape when it left the mold. If you work with the base's natural tendencies then the base will perform better for longer.

Really good information, thanks much...! I plan on working with these when Season 19 is complete, and Season 20 begins. 🙂
