  1. Last season, I would not let the QB throw away with no open men. I made the offense take a coverage sack. At least 1 player had to be non-engaged As I says earlier, I’m considering making the QB make a turn to get outside the tackle box, I’ve just got to get some specifics in place
  2. So, a ball thrown away would still be a 5 yard loss?
  3. 25 and 25 opposing sides?
  4. I have a friend who has several old Haiti sets that he painted as a kid. Anyone with any experience stripping the paint off of figures.? Was wondering how hard it would be to strip anc repaint. Is this even a viable idea?
  5. I did it last season when no one was open. what do you think of using your 1 turn to get out of the tackle box per NFL rules? I also put a maximum of 7 yards on a sack
  6. Love that Terry has put the new figures on those old bases!
  7. Does anyone have specific rules for the QB getting rid of the ball to prevent a sack?
  8. Awesome! Love the helmet and box!
  9. How do the steel bases and red prongs do your seasons in general? I didn’t even know steel bases existed until you mentioned them
  10. I will include this into my tweaking process.
  11. So, all those different teams with different bases play in your league?
  12. Just received my second Tudor motor for my ultimate board. I know Shawn said he mounted his 2 in endzones, I think diagonal to each other. Any other people using double Tudor motors on ultimate board? If so, where do you mount them?
  13. I like that! I will be playing with 32 teams, so it will take me a while to build up that many bases
  14. My league was rudimentary as I started it up for the first time in decades. One set of each team playing offense and defense. (I’m currently working on getting 22 players per team) I tweaked 22 bases, and typed out a description of what each did. On the first game for each team, I did a blind draw for each team. Then, in the subsequent games, more and more bases were assigned to specific players based on the initial blind draw plus the performance of the player on that bases from week to week. My system allowed for improvement in weeks 2 & 3. While, most bases were kind of locked in by the last week, game 4. I liked this system for last year. It allowed each team to gain a “personality” as the season went on. Now, I want to improve the system with a lot more tweaked based and new ideas from other coaches!
  15. I see that Curt “shuffles bases”, though I’m not sure what that means. And, Terry seems to build his teams around certain types of bases. I used 1 set of bases and found a system to designate them to players based on and initial draw and player stats with those bases. I’d like to know how everyone uses bases in solitaire, including discussing more information from Curt and Terry about their systems.
  16. As an Auburn graduate living in Tennessee, I’m a little allergic as well. Lol Great video though!
  17. I think the Arctic Vortex player and base look good together
  18. Loving all the videos. Keep them coming. I need plenty of ideas
  19. Wow! I had no clue the ITZ bases were a one-and done type thing. Very disappointing!
  20. I tried to start tweaking last year, but I had one health problem after another. Plus, I have a toddler LOL I am trying to tweak a lot of bases before my solitaire league resumes in August, including my TTC bases from the 80s, single clip bases I received with a bunch of Haiti figures from EBay, several different types of Proline (rookie and DCB) I bought and CL1 and Blitz bases from ITZ. So far, I feel I’ve been pretty successful, especially with the fast bases. Some questions: Will weight slow down a fast base that I seem to have tweaked very stable without weight? Can y’all give me an idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the different bases I’ve listed? I’ve started to learn already by tweaking, but it wouldn’t hurt to get a headstart from knowledgeable people like yourselves 😊 I’ve never really understood how a rookie type base can be made to turn, though obviously mine aren’t all straight. Any advice? Thanks!!!
  21. I pretty much did it strictly by NFL rules last year, which included strength of win and strength of schedule before points differentials tie breakers start. I never had to go past strength of win. And, that was only once. Playing only a 4 game season, I had 14 teams finish at 2-2. Division tiebreakers were all decided head-to-head or division record. Some wildcards went on down to intra conference record and strength of win. Overall, thought the procedures went well this year.
  22. I have it downloaded onto my laptop. I will look at it today. I think what bothers me is a fully engaged blocked defender touching the runner with back portion of the base
