Thanks rick...so far the old nfl has won 2 and the afl 1......the rams...raiders and jets are 3 of my favorite teams....all 3 have went down in the first round.

Colts get revenge.....tom mattie led the colts with 2 long touchdown runs as the colts win 20 to 7......the jets led 7 to 6 at the half on a long td by joe namath but the 2nd half belonged to the colts......pictures include 41 mattie...32 mike curtis...74 billy ray smith...78 bubba smith and 70 art donavan for the colts......famous jets include : 12 namath....52 john schmitt...32 emerson boozer and 80 john elliott..... Next up is a super bowl 1 rematch between the chiefs and the packers.....i just picked up the one sleeve stripe chiefs so i decided to use them and put the packers in white....i have the no sleeve stripe chiefs in my collection too and they are my favorite but i thought id see how these chiefs do.

Game 2.....49ers 30 raiders 20....this game had a little bit of everything...td passes...kickoff returns for tds....long runs and interceptions......john brodie had a great game for the 49ers with 2 td passes and a long run for another score ...hewert dixon for the raiders had big runs and a td catch too.....players pictured include : 12 brodie...18 gene washington...75 forrest blue...69 woody peoples...70 charlie kruger.....22 vic washington ....and 40 ken willard...raiders represented include : 35 dixon...83 ben davidson....63 gene upshaw....40 pete banazak..44 marv hubbard....and 00 jim otto.....next up is a super bowl 3 rematch ...joe namath and the jets vs johnny unitas and the colts.

Game 1 ( rams and bills ) was a thriller....both teams had chances to win on long field goals in the 4th qt but missed....the game went into overtime and the bills won the toss and drove down to the 20 and kicked a fg to win 17 to 14.....the game was a rb duel between oj simpson of the bills and lawrence mcutcheon of the rams....neither disappointed as both scored 2 tds a piece ...both had a rushing td and a receiving td.....featured players in the pictures were 32 simpson....67 reggie mckenzie and 81 bob chandler for the bills.....for the rams....30 mcutcheon ....89 fred dryer...85 jack youngblood and 74 merlin olsen........the next game will feature the battle of the bay.....raiders vs 49ers.

Ive had a couple and can kick myself for selling them....i am looking to find another one again.....i like to play on the big fields but i hope to find the AFL little field again one day and keep it this time ☺

Well after a long layoff I am finally ready to play another tournament. I thought i would start out with a preview with some info and some pics. I consider myself as an old school guy and I always try to honor the old tudor days from the late 60s and early 70s and share a little history. This tournament is unique because it will be the first time I have used this format . Typically I play 8 nfl or nfc and 8 afl or afc and the teams play in their conference or league until the 2 survivors meet in the super bowl. But i was thinking I never get to play intra league games until the end. So this one I am going to use intra league matchups as long as I can. It is possible that in the later rounds i wont be able to maintain the intra league but i hope to get as many is as I can. Most of my teams are the old Tudor original 1969 hog leg teams but I do have a couple haiti and a few HKBS ( chicken leg ) teams as well. My first matchup will be the only 2 haiti teams I have kept....original dark jersey bs rams ( my favorite team from my youth ) and the white jersey haiti buffalo bills ( my favorite uniform style from the haiti era ) ....other matchups will include : hog leg 49ers vs hog leg raiders. ... Hog leg packers vs hog leg chiefs....hog leg bears vs hog leg chargers....( a matchup that never happened in 1963 that the chargers lobbied for ) ....a super bowl III replay of the hog leg colts and hog leg jets ( the game that changed pro football forever ) ....the hog leg eagles vs the hog leg broncos....the transition dolphins vs the hkbs redskins.....and the hog leg cowboys vs the hog leg oilers.......I have 5 old big tudor fields ...I will play this tourney on my super bowl XI ( raiders vs vikings ) big 660 field ..( the last big 620 size game tudor made ).....I use classic bases when I play....I use the old widetop bases from the mid 70s for my linemen and I use some tweaked speed bases for my skill positions....once I make my final cut I will use the same 22 bases for the whole tourney. ..I am still doing a little base testing and should start playing tomorrow. ( rams vs bills ) .....I hope you enjoy my preview pictures and check in from time to time to see the results. It is a great hobby we all share and enjoy and I have met many good friends because of Electric Football.

Yes.....most of my teams are just 11 men because i collect the old originals from the 60s and sometimes just finding one team takes years sometimes.

Im going to play a little pre season tourney soon...recently i bought dark rams...powder blue chargers....and white giants from the modern tudor....i have a set of w haiti bills with the blue pants that were always my favorite haiti team....the bills will meet the chargers and the rams will face the giants...then the winners will meet in the championship pre seasin tourney....3 games...hope to play it in the next week or so.

I watched a video one time when john madden talked about a coaching clinic he went to when he was just starting out. Madden said that lombardi session spoke about the sweep for 8 hours on that one play.

Yep...those orange uniforms were tough to look at....lol....but as far as electric football goes...i only collect the 26 teams that existed before the addition of the bucs and seahawks...but haiti really made some very nice bucs and seahawk teams...id say the modern tudor has some nice looking teams today.

Im one of the old timers....i always like the teams that uniforms pretty much stay the same year after year....i look at football as a game that represents that sense of toughness like blocking and tackling. Does all these uniform changes and flash really upset me....NOT REALLY ...i just like to see the old plain jane stuff .... To me it represents the game ....but again.....everyone has an opinion....and its entertainment and a fun release ...like sports should be.

When i play my league games it will always feature these teams..i have kept 4 game boards that i consider to have historical value....the big grass endzone ( browns / giants game ) that was the the first big board tudor made with the NFL TEAMS.....the super bowl III ( jets /colts ) the first super bowl that tudor produced... The gold endzone ( browns / jets ) ...the first monday night football game and the first week of the new merger alignment......and finally the last big super bowl 620 size game tudor made ( raiders / vikings ) ....with those 4 boards i feel i cover the HISTORY PRETTY GOOD..time to take a little break....but if i can ever help anyone with questions about the old teams and games you guys see on ebay or run across feel free to ask....ill be glad to help anyway i can.....ITS A GREAT HOBBY WE ALL SHARE.

The AFC WEST and AFC CENTRAL....the central had 2 of the old NFL teams in it to create natural rivalries between the browns...steelers and bengals...the oilers had floated between the east and west in the old AFL made the 4th team.....the AFC WEST was the only conference that featured all 4 teams from the old AFL with no crossovers ...the raiders...chiefs...broncos and chargers.

Thanks...i still need to put on the afc central and afc west...yes...it takes a lot of time to get the whole collection....it took me 20 years to find my white jersey yellow helmet redskins team....there are still a few variations i didnt keep that i had like black helmet saints and a couple more ...at one time i had all the original bigmen and just about all of the original hoglegs.....but i decided to keep the hogs because you can have the AFL in white as well as dark....i know guys who have collections that would make mine look very small...but i am happy with it now for the first time in a long time.

Next up is the AFC EAST....there is a lot of tudor history in these....in 1967 tudor started the NFL and AFL TEAMS we could purchase. The first teams known as BIGMEN could be purchased in dark and white for the then 16 NFL teams but the AFL only came in dark jerseys....even the first run of what we call 1969 hoglegs only came in dark except for the jets because they had shocked the world with their super bowl 3 win. The later runs of hoglegs started coming out with white jerseys for tje other teams. Yet there were 3 teams from the america eastern conference that were not produced in dark jerseys for hoglegs...( dolphins..bills and patriots ) these teams in dark are a combination of a couple hoglegs and the majority being chickenlegs.....my dolphins have 4 hoglegs and 7 chicken legs....my bills have 2 hoglegs...my patriots have no hoglegs...and to this day i have found no patriot teams with any hogleg players in dark.....discussions with my collector friends is we have determined that tudor was so overstocked with bigmen dolphins...patriots and bills that they were never made as complete sets in dark and that makes sense to me. ( those 3 teams were so bad in the late 60s we just feel like kids never ordered them ).....the pictures in this post include the jets...which i have the first run one shoulder stripe sets and the later run 3 stripe sets.....the other AFC EAST teams were the colts...patriots...bills and dolphins.

Now that im in another off season i thought id start another collection pictures ....all my teams are original tudor 1969 hogleg teams from the factory. The only team that isnt a tudor original of all my teams is the spear helmet dark washington team. They are painted on original hogleg figures. My collection consists of the 26 nfl teams when the AFL and NFL merged after the 1969 season. This first set of pictures are for the 13 NFC. I will do the AFC hopefully tomorrow....i am very proud of my collection. It has taken about 10 years to put together again.....i grouped the eagles and washington team in one picture because i have a variation for each ( custom spear redskins and original green helmet set ) ....i put the cowboys...cardinals and giants in another pic to finish the 5 team eastern conference....then the central with lions..packers...bears and vikings....then the west with rams..49ers..saints and falcons.

Well...LOL...ill have to see if my younger son will show me how to post a few videos....it says the files are too big...ill see if i can get some on here this weekend.

Super Bowl 33 champions are the NY JETS with their 14 to 7 win over the packers. This was the jets 4th super bowl victory and they now tie the los angeles rams for the most c_a_panther sb victories. Jim taylor of the packers scored the first touchdown . Then joe namath found emerson boozer on a long pas play to tie the game at 7 at the half. A namath to don maynard pass set the jets up early in the 4th qt that led to a matt snell touchdown. I have included 4 pictures. I will try to add a few videos after this post. I hope you enjoy it....ive played about 50 games in the last 3 months so ill probably take a little break ....i hope everyone has been enjoying the games and pictures.
