Raiders 19 Broncos 13 overtime

there is an old saying...you play in the first half but you win in the 2nd.....the bills led 17-14 at halftime...but joe namath found don maynard for a long td pass halfway through the 4th qt and it was the deciding td ......the bills then marched down and got on the 3 yd line on the last play but jack kemp's pass to oj simpson was incomplete.....the jets move on to face the dolphins in the winners bracket....the bills move down to face the oilers in the loser bracket....outstanding jets include : 12 namath...13 maynard....41 matt snell....32 Emerson boozer.....75 winston hill.....and 87 pete lammons.....the bills were led by: 15 kemp....32 simpson....40 jd hill....81 bob chandler and 66 billy shaw......there are 4 teams left in the winners bracket....the jets...dolphins...raiders and chiefs.....ill play the next 4 games in the loser bracket....the winner moves on...the loser packs up their bags till the next tournament.....next up is the transition ( hog/chicken) bills vs the hogleg oilers.

Hog broncos 28 hog bengals 13

I'll call this one the floyd little game....little scored all 4 of Denver's tds and the broncos controlled the game for the most part......outstanding former broncos include : 44 little, 87 tombstone Jackson....11 bobby anderson....42 billy vanhusen....13 don horn....55 pete duranko....and 77 lyle alzado.....the bengals were led by 84 bob trumphey....12 greg cook....19 essex johnson....18 paul Robinson....79 ross browner.....and 74 mike reid.....the bengals are now eliminated.....the broncos move on to face the chargers....ill play a couple more games in the loser bracket as the hog oilers will face the hog patriots.

Bm packers 27 bm saints 21

Back in the late 60s and early 70s this would have been the packers by a landslide but the saints were knocking on the goal line and almost pulled an upset but the packers prevail 27-21 and move on to face the vikings ...the saints move down to the loser bracket and will face the lions . .great performances by tony baker of the saints who scored 3 touchdowns....the packers were led by jim taylor...carol dale and john brockington ...brockington usually doesn't make the roster because of hornung and taylor but i put him on this packer team.....up next will be another classic 1967 bigmen battle as the big bears meet the big rams....i think ill finish out the first round with the bigmen teams and then start using the hoglegs again....having fun and enjoying this great game we share.

Jets 21 Dolphins 17

Long dry spell again but got in another game....the jets move on in the winner bracket and face the raiders as the ,2 are the only teams left without a loss...the dolphins drop down to the loser bracket.....ill play the next 3 games in the loser bracket and the survivor will meet the loser of the jets and raiders......as far as the game...joe namath had 2 td passes to don Maynard and matt snell....larry czonka led the dolphins with 2 rushing tds......the jets were led by 12 namath....13 Maynard....41 snell....32 emerson boozer....52 john schmitt and 75 winston hill.....the dolphins were led by 39 czonka....22 mercury morris...12 bob griesie....42 paul warfield and 66 larry little......up next will be the chiefs vs the oilers.
