Thanks .  All of mine are the original tudor teams except for a nice set of rams a friend did for me ...i keep 3 teams ...2 hogs and 1 big men team or vice versa for the 26 teams when the AFL and NFL merged.....i really like the old originals...they arent as fancy but they have special meaning to me....its a great hobby.

Vikings 13 Packers 12

Well after about 6 months off....the weather is changing....its time to play some football again....i typically take some time off from time to time but this might be my biggest pause ever.....i picked up with the tournament with 2 old black and blue division opponents..hog packers and hog vikings...this game was decided in the kicking game as the packers missed both extra points and the vikings made 1 out of 2.....paul hornung scored late in the game from 22 yards out but the extra point again was no good and the vikings move on and the Packers drop down to the loser bracket......great vikings from the past include : 44 chuck foreman...30 bill brown...41 ed Osborne....84 gene washington....59 lonnie warwick....70 jim marshall and 88 alan page.....some of the great packers from yesterday include: 5 hornung....31 jim taylor...81 marv Fleming....64 jerry Kramer....66 ray nitschke...86 boyd dowler....87 willie davis and 15 bart Starr......up next is an old costal division matchup between the haiti rams and hogleg 49ers.....hopefully i can start getting in 2 or 3 games a week in like the good old days.

Id call this a WOW game....one thing ive found as i have enjoyed playing this great game of Tudor electric football for over 50 years is that its great to play one of these type games from time to time....another thing ive found is consistently through the years...gale sayers for the bears and terry Metcalf for the cardinals always seem to make big plays and score a lot of touchdowns almost every game.....this one was a classic as the 2 great stars from the past took turns making big plays and scoring on long runs....both had 4 tds for the game but once again the game was decided on two missed extra points that gave the cardinals the victory and the chance to play on...the bears will have to wait till the next tournament......lots of pictures and lots of action in this one.....great former bears include : 40 sayers...87 ed obradovich ...89 mike ditka....78 stan thompson....55 doug buffone....and 51 the great dick butkus ......the cardinals featured 21 Metcalf.....81 jackie smith....17 jim hart.....72 dan dierdorf ...66 conrad dobler...and 73 ernie McMillan.....up next will be the hog steelers vs the hog lions.

Ill probably type too much but games like this bring back lots of memories....in my neighborhood there were about 8 guys who had electric football and we had all started playing in the late 60s when tudor had started making the 1967 bigmen and 1969 hoglegs...all of us had our favorite team...and all of us had at least 7 or 8 teams im sure.....the packers were a favorite for several of the guys...and a couple were big colts fans...i was a big rams fan growing up....we played outside on the nice days but when the rain or snow came at least 3 or 4 of us was at one or the others house playing electric football....great times...great memories......now on to the game.....this was a classic right down to the last play of the game.....john unitas drove the colts down the field late in the 4th qt and found jimmy orr down the middle for the go ahead score...that left bart starr and the packers 3 plays to win the game...on the last play of the game with no one open...starr rambled 40 yards and the packers pulled out the victory 20-17.....the colts are eliminated the packers move on....so many great players were featured in this game....15 starr...31 jim taylor...5 paul hornung....24 willie wood...85 max mcgee....22 elijah pitts....87 willie davis...89 dave Robinson...64 jerry Kramer...63 fuzzy thurston and 66 ray nitschke for the packers....the colts featured...19 Unitas...24 lenny moore...41 tom mattie....28 jimmy orr...88 john mackey...82 raymond berry....70 art Donovan....89 gino marchette....78 bubba smith....74 billy ray Smith and 32 mike curtis....up next will be another hogleg matchup between the rams and cowboys.

The rams featured the passing game of roman gabriel to jack snow and the cowboys featured the running game of calvin hill and Walt Garrison.....the cowboys forced overtime with a 38 yd field goal....the cowboys won the toss but on the 3rd play of overtime the rams dick bass stepped in front of a roger stauback pass and returned it 52 yards for the game winning pick 6.....the rams move on to face the Packers...the cowboys are eliminated......great rams represented tonight are : 18 gabriel...84 snow....22 bass ...75 deacon jones....74 merlin olsen....33 willie ellison...and 87 billy truax.....great former cowboys include : 35 hill...32 garrison....12 stauback....22 bob hayes....19 lance rentzel....74 bob lilly....66 George andre....and 55 leroy jordan.....up next im going back up to winner bracket where the hog vikings will face the hog 49ers.

I use the same 22 bases for a whole tournament ...when one game is over i take 6 from one team and 5 from another and put them on the next team....it is a random process and a luck of the draw ...the rams 5 linemen definitely had a good draw because they dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball ...the trio of willie ellison...les josephson...and dick bass each had a touchdown for the rams....roman gabriel only had to throw one pass because the rams ran the ball so well....herb atterly had the lone score for the packers on a 98 yd kick return....famous rams include : 18 gabriel....33 Ellison...34 josephson....22 bass....87 billy truax...74 merlin olsen...and 75 deacon jones.....great former packers include: 26 atterly....31 jim taylor....66 ray nitschke....15 bart starr....84 carrol dale....and 87 willie davis....up next will be the hog lions vs the hog cardinals.

Thinking ahead a little....as the nfl bracket is winding down...i thought id go ahead and set up the afl bracket.....when the nfl and afl merged there were 10 afl teams.....when the smoke clears on the nfl bracket the survivor will wait to see who comes out of the afl and the 2 will meet for the super bowl.

This was a defensive game with a few big plays sprinkled in....late in the first half the rams were leading 3-0 and driving....but homer jones stepped in front of a roman gabriel pass and returned it 80 yds for a td.....the giants won late on tarkenton to frank gifford pass to seal the win and allow the giants to be the 3rd team to reach the final 4.......great giants from the past include : 10 tarkenton...16 gifford....45 jones....30 ron johnson....38 bob tucker....and 89 fred dryer.....great rams include : 18 gabriel....84 jack snow....33 willie ellison....76 rosie grier....87 billy truax....74 merlin olsen....85 lamar lundy....and 75 deacon jones......up next is the 49ers vs the lions ...with the winner becoming the last final 4 team.

VIKINGS 21 49ERS 20

hard to imagine a playoff game in December without a snow game in Minnesota back in the day.....the 49ers finish the tournament with 4 wins and 2 losses ...both losses came to the vikings 9-7 and 21-20....the vikings move on to meet washington in the NFL CHAMPIONSHIP.....the game was even from start to finish with the 49ers scoring first on a long ken willard run but the vikings led 14-13 at the half thanks to the running of bill brown and ed osborn......great vikings from the past include : 30 brown....41 osborn...11 joe kapp...84 gene washington...70 jim marshall...83 stu voight ....81 carl eller and 88 alan page.....the 49ers were led by 40 willard...12 john brodie....82 ted kwalick....69 woody peoples....57 frank nunley and 75 forrest blue.....ill play the championship on the old 620 browns giants game and use the haiti redskins in dark and the hogleg white vikings.

The AFL BRACKET

there were 10 AFL teams when the merger into the NFL happened in 1970.....to play a 10 team double elimination tourney i divided it into two five team divisions even though the bengals and oilers bounced between east and west i put the bengals in the east and the oilers in the west.....there are what i would call 2 wild card games ...in the east ill play the bengals and the bills...in the west ill play the oilers and the broncos....im going to play the 2 wild card games on the little Tudor AFL GAME....then ill move to the big 620 gold endzone game to play the rest...when all the games are completed the winner of the AFL BRACKET will meet washington for the super bowl....game 1 will feature the transition ( hog and chicken ) bills vs the haiti bengals....the broncos and oilers will both be hogleg teams....just like the NFL bracket ill try to mix up some of the games between hog, chicken, haiti and bigmen teams.....hopefully ill play game 1 tonight or tomorrow.

Great game to start the AFL BRACKET.....the bills were led by oj Simpson's 4 tds....paul robinson had 2 tds for the bengals....the bills led 14-7 at halftime and both teams had 2 tds in the second half....the bengals drop down to the loser bracket....the bills will now face the jets... outstanding bills from yesterday include : 32 Simpson...15 jack kemp...25 haven moses....81 bob chandler....87 paul Seymour....67 reggie McKenzie....and 66 billy shaw.....the bengals were led by 18 Robinson...19 essex johnson....84 bob trumphey ...88 bruce coslatt ....74 mike reid...and 66 bill bergey ....up next will be the oilers vs the broncos...i was going to use hogleg teams but decide to match up 1967 bigmen....when tudor made the 1967 AFL bigmen teams....the afl only came in dark jersey except for the big w jets....even though the w jets often came in mixed sets of bigmen and hogs.....i collected by big w jets by buying quite a few of the little afl chiefs jets games until i had all 11 jets.

Was there ever any doubt with the ball in Sonnys hands? The defense has to pay attention to Larry Brown, so Jurgensen should have plenty of open receivers in a clutch situation. 😎
