I snip out the decal I want to use and only place that on the sponge.  Never the whole sheet.

Yes that is the way I always have done it.   But I see how the sponge method would speed things up.

My problem is I have a large family and so I don’t have large blocks of free time.  So if I did try the sponge method I would likely get interrupted and risk ruining my decals.

The Raiders were very difficult to put the pant leg stripe on at $42 from beenut, and the sleeve for the Tampa Bay buccaneers was also a big problem

Yes those are hard to do.

I also have a terrible time seeing the  shoulder numbers when it is white printed on white.

  3. A lot of people place their decal sheet on a sponge or something similar to keep the decals wet and ready to slide.

My question is if you cannot complete your decals for whatever reason can you remove the decal sheet from the sponge and have it be okay till next time?

in other words, will the decals be ruined in that situation?

Blown Coverage — one player, one game

Blown Coverage — one player, one season

Blown Coverage — one player, more than 10 games

This is a good one.  Will have to start doing this one.

On offense I do track caught and missed passes by receiver and the length of the stick, (I use stick passing).  So it will be good to track coverage also.

  5. In another post regarding MVP:

    Quote:
“If this is for League MVP shouldn't there be a defensive player or two in contention? Any Ray Lewis or Mean Joe Green or Troy Polamalu players with 15 or more solo tackles? Somebody from that suffocating Colts defense must be having an MVP year.”

    Enjoy the Journey    T43.    🏈♾️

this made me curious as to what stats different coaches record for the defense.

    here are mine;

    • Tackles,
    • Tackles for loss,
    • total of negative tackle yardage by player,
    • sacks,
    • total of negative sack yardage,
    • Times got Pressure on the QB,
    • Fumbles recovered,
    • Fumbles caused,
    • Interceptions made,
    • Safeties,
    • Defensive TD’s,
    • Blocked FG’s
    • (Team stat) times forced QB to throwaway pass.

    I believe that is all.

For whatever reason I cannot see your videos. I get a "codec" error, but I understand the technique that you are using. I have tried to develop plays that do the same thing. Mostly though with the QB or another RB angled to hit the ball carrier and purposefully turn him to run in another direction.

Yes I usually also use the QB or RB but hsve started experimenting with using linemen now.

curious that you can’t see the videos. Some videos others post here I also cannot see.

  7. Added looper to defense and moved TE as blocker.  Same play.  Here the TE fails to clear out the looper and the RB, turned by the lineman, runs into the back of the TE.   With no forward movement by the RB the lineman stays in contact snd continued to pivot the RB.

The RB turns enough to slip past the TE towards the inside and gains about 7 yards.

  8. One of the technics I enjoy using in competitive games is the use of one of your players to strike another of your players in a way that pivots the player into a new direction.

Here is an example:  note that in our competition league the offense gets two pivots prior to the play.  The defense gets no pivots.

As you see the RB is originally set up facing the line, this hopefully causes the defense to strengthen the line.  When it is time for pivots I pivot the RB to go wide.   I then pivot the lineman so while moving he will strike the RB and pivot him downfield.

  9. Six US Presidents played college football.  I had hoped there were more as I thought making a Team of all Presidents would be unique.

    The Six are:

John Kennedy for Harvard (Apparently never got on the field)

Richard Nixon for Whittier College (Also does not appear to have got into a game)

Ronald Reagan for Eureka College (No play of note)

Donald Trump for New York Military Academy ( Apparently was a good athlete)

Dwight Eisenhower for Army (played RB and LB - the old days when you played both off and def.)

Gerald Ford for Michigan (He is the “Star” of the Presidents and had offers to turn pro)

My EEFLI (Elite Electric Football League of India) was a part of Season IV of the MFCA Solitaire Challenge. The Bangalore Warhawks won the EEFLI

I remember them well.  I was blown away when I saw your teams!  And the idea of doing teams based on such an obscure league was awesome.

"Some coaches don’t take pride in how their team looks on the field but... Remember Prime Time: “If you look good – you feel good; if you feel good – you play good; if you play good- you know the rest."

I must confess that I despise statements like this.   Having served in the Army I saw many “Parade Dress” soldiers that always looked sharp and mostly because they wouldn’t get their hands dirty.
As long as they looked good they didn’t actually have to be good.

Now getting back to EF, I do like to have my teams look decent.
I also like the Beenutt figs, the one problem I have is that I prefer the Haiti size players.  I bought some players from Undefeated and they are the largest players I have.

figures keep getting bigger and bigger.   I suppose it is due to people passing using a throwing QB.   People want large figures to block passing and big receivers to make them easier to hit.

    Watch electric coach on YouTube

I learned a lot from his videos!

Most importantly the lesson of being methodical while tweaking.

  13. Next to actually playing the game, I believe that tweaking bases so they will do what I want is my favorite part of this hobby.  So getting new bases is always exciting to me.

hey coach i really love this play calling idea i was wondering though what does the normal play call mean does that mean coaches choice?

It means the situation is not necessarily a passing situation or a run situation.
Thus a “Normal” category has equal odds of being either a Run play or a Pass play.

I keep 2 kick returners back and I alternate the kick receiver

This year I have started keeping two returners back.   They are placed in the endzone between the sideline and the hashmarks (one on each side).    I then use a “ball base” at the receiving side 25 yard line aimed toward the endzone.   I turn on the field and stop field once the ball base touches the goal line.   The nearest returner takes the ball at that spot.

So I will have to think how new rules will effect this.  I suppose really no change to the procedure, just a change in where the players line up.
