  1. And that coaches, is your Master Class for the day! Now hit the training table and be on the field at 0800. Class dismissed. Awesome stuff Coach T! As usual. Journey On!
  2. Defense V.S. Offense. On defense you need loopers and straight up rushers. You need cover corners and bull strength rushers. Safeties need to be able to close quickly. Offense, pull blockers and strength up front. Speed on the corners and backs that don’t particularly go straight. There are happy accidents to be had and the quirks of a team can become strengths. Vague enough? Journey On!
  3. The San Francisco 49ers in Uni-Forms. Based and tweaked for the upcoming match with the Atlanta Falcons. Not my best work, but this is one of my earlier teams. Still look good on the board. Training camp is over! MNF Tournament II is ready to begin! Journey On!
  4. Happy Thanksgiving, from T-Town Alabama! Journey On!
  5. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’ve spent all morning with these away Atlanta Falcons in Uni-Forms. They are now based and tweaked. They are ready for their first game V the San Francisco 49ers who are due in training camp soon. I can’t wait to get them done and this game underway! The Falcons are defending their MNF Tournament I championship. Journey On!
  6. I did dice draw eliminations to get to the 8 teams in the next tourney. The fact the Colts ended up there again, but not the Falcons, yeah, I thought about that one. Having these types of tournaments allows me to get my Uni-Form teams out to play. All teams keep their bases here on out. The 49ers will get all fresh bases. I have, for the first time, all the tweaking tools I need to do this properly. Scales, putty to add weight, magnifying visor, and tweaking hardware. I’m all set! Now about those ITZ bases. I have 4 New Orleans Saints teams and, eventually, my Beenutt Packers who will wear those! That is a whole nother day’s worth of fun just down the road! ok, I have made a commissioner’s executive decision. I am replacing the Colts in the next tourney with the Falcons! I was chewing on the decision to do that before and I don’t think I will be happy unless the Falcons have a chance to defend! Yes! I will enjoy the fixins today! We’re going to be at my brother in law’s in Birmingham, and his wife is Italian. She is an amazing cook and, while Sunday at Mom’s will be the traditional Thanksgiving, today is going to be an incredible Italian smorgasbord! I’ll get in some EF this morning and maybe more tonight. Journey on!
  7. The championship was made interesting by a 4th quarter Joseph Addai 48 yard touchdown reception that made the score Falcons 21 Colts 14. The Falcons took the kickoff to their own 13. The Colts just needed a stop, but it was not to be as the Falcons practiced ball control driving the length of the field in 8 plays culminating in another Micheal Turner 6 yard run to put the game all but out of reach. In all Turner had 299 yards and 4 touchdowns to be awarded MVP for the first Monday Night Football Tournament. Season 2 will feature the Colts, 49ers, Seahawks, Commanders, Lions, Raiders, Cowboys, and Chargers. Journey On!
  8. So a Beenutt addressed the custom painted teams issue. It was the painters had to catch up. Which leads me to believe the custom painted teams were a smash hit or he needs more painters. Either way, demand outstripped supply, and that ain’t a bad problem to have… as long as “Out of Stock” doesn’t become a mantra. Journey On!
  9. Just the absolute best! Thanks, man!! Journey On!
  10. Anything I come up with would be pure speculation. Demand greater than expected. Supply chain issues. Painter problems. The list is endless but worthless without communication. It’s like he said, small businesses take up an inordinate amount of time, and that’s if everything goes smoothly. I imagine Doug’s had a thought or two about the process. If there’s no movement on availability in the next week, I’ll have to direct my kids to get dear ol’ dad something else for Christmas. Journey On!
  11. So the custom painted teams are out of stock. What does this mean going forward? Are they out of Beenutts? Too many orders for the painter? Will we be able to orde before Christmas? Just curious. Journey On!
  12. For older coaches who’s fingers aren’t as nimble as they used to be, dice work quite well. I respect those of you that can use the triple threat and complete passes. I used to be quite good at it myself. If I were a younger coach and played in a league, I can see doing either physical passing or using TAP rules and playing with passing sticks. The cool thing about this hobby is pursuing a path that allows enjoyment of playing electric football, be that solitaire or in a league. I do miss being nimble enough to pull off passing with the triple threat, but I enjoy the flow of my games without the frustration. In my case, the dice work and my style of play is totally enjoyable. Journey On!
  13. Welcome Beenutt!! Yes, we do love the weekly reports and drops. Looking forward to my Beenutt Packers as I do not own any Beenutt figures. We all have our takes on this great hobby but we all want Tudor to succeed going forward. The fact it is going forward is great and your hands on involvement is highly appreciated! Journey On!
  14. Wonder if there’s going to be a Black Friday sale? I never go out with the crowds on that day. I’ll shop from the phone as I have the last 5 years. Come to think of it, the last time I saw anything Electric Football related, was a Miggle Super Bowl with the Ravens and Giants in it at ToysR Us. I bought it. That was about 20 years ago. My kids would’ve been 12 and 8. If I weren’t at work I’d go for a long walk with the dog. 12 and 8. Journey On.
  15. Welcome, Coach Chris! Always good to have another voice and viewpoint on the Forum. I have learned SO much over the last two plus years I have joined in and learn on a regular basis! There are few other hobbies as multifaceted as electric football. Many of us were in other hobbies only to come back to EF, sometimes multiple times, over the years. There are some great people that post on the forum, and it is a great escape from all the mess going on out in the “real “ world. Its a great time to be in this hobby! Journey On!
  16. Coach T43 makes valid points. Yes they do look great. But then…. Coach Jay is dead on. This does feel different. Now, I can be excited for the different products coming out, and I am. But if I am a kid who mows lawns for a living, and I once was, I’m completely priced out of the hobby. Looking back at that 2016 pic of ALL the teams, I think of the pricing back then. I have a lot more of those teams in that flyer than I thought I did! I’ve started to search out the ones I don’t have and want on the secondary market. They’re out there. Just not a lot at a time. It’s a fun adventure to bid within my comfort zone, and if I don’t win, no biggie. It’s an interesting time in the hobby, coaches. I plan to keep my ear to the ground. If I don’t like a particular aspect of what is being offered, I’m under no contract to have to buy in. Where this thing is headed is still anyone’s guess. I’m going on the premise that action on our hobby front is better than none. We have experienced that in the past too. Journey On!
  17. 5…5 shutout quarters for the Falcons defense! Nothing is going well for the Colts and #33 Turner already has 2 rushing touchdowns. After one it’s Falcons 14 Colts 0. The pic is of a wide open Colt. It was incomplete. The streak continues. Journey On!
  18. So cool! That’s like looking at the field during a flyover. You are a master, sir! Journey On!
  19. I will tell you, I tried every single thing I could do to get points for the Eagles! No bias here at all. Incompletions, 4 and outs, interceptions, and coverage sacks. Holy cow! I could not believe what was going on. MRC Memorial. My dad, God rest his soul, was Marcus R. Collins. Worlds biggest Bama fan and a heck of a dad! Had me in my first football helmet in the yard when I was 3. It just seemed appropriate to name the place I play on after him. Some may say it’s silly, but it sure makes me feel good in a way I can’t really explain. Journey On!
  20. Got to make it to the john! I appreciate those coaches who play by the clock. As I have adapted much of Coach T 43’s methods of play, I have also done things that line up better with how I want to play. I use the number of plays per game, I use a stationary player occasionally, and I only use one team per side per game. I have seriously considered passing sticks, but I really enjoy the shorthand of dice. I totally appreciate TAP rules and if I were to play with other coaches who wanted to use said rules, I could adapt quickly, I think. I play solitaire and absolutely enjoy myself. I also enjoy the other coaches who post and their myriad styles. There are some brilliant coaches out there! There’s new content being posted weekly, and though I may wish for certain things that probably never will happen, this life is too short not to try and enjoy and get excited about what we do have. It’s always interesting. Journey On!
  21. I always learn something from Coach T43’s posts. I wonder if he’s been a journalist in the past. Or as Ebenezer Scrooge said, “ It’s a wonder you don’t go into Parliament, sir.”. Journey On!
  22. I am intrigued by the TAP rule where the offense plays in dark jerseys and the defense plays in white, or some lighter color. This would help me keep the player’s positions separated and, also, seem to add some pageantry to the game. It would eliminate the need for home field v.s. Visitor on a neutral field. I like the idea of breaking out both light and dark squads to get more use of them, instead of waiting to break out each team for an individual matchup. What say ye, coaches? Journey On!
