  1. That's great news! I can say the same about my work, I work in a fairly small team and from what I understand none of them really do much outside of work so risk of infection is pretty low but never zero....had a scare at my job last year and only myself and another colleague were able to work for 10 days while the other 3 had to self isolate, and that was far from enjoyable!๐Ÿ˜‚ Yeah the situation here is a bit frustrating and doesn't help with these so called "leaders" we have over here who seem to want to change plans every 5 minutes along with all the lies told and rule breaking a lot of them have committed, makes it a very tough decision to follow their guidelines or ignore them completely. Just feel it is going to be yet ANOTHER tough year for everyone everywhere.... I think with me having very little exposure to the sport it may be a big factor to why I do find EF and football quite fascinating although there is a ton of sports here the main ones are soccer, rugby or cricket and to be honest I have grown quite bored of what there is to offer here. Played rugby for many years but the passion sadly faded away and wanted to try something new. I have took up both Softball since last summer and since last Sunday I had my first session with the local American football team here the "Berkshire Renegades" so I have turned my focus to the sports more popular in your fine country. Can't wait to learn more about football and actually playing, playing EF, watching games, video games etc will be great tools to expand my knowledge and enjoyment of the sport in general Playing 8 man so far is going very well the board does not seem as bare as when I was playing with 6 man teams so I am enjoying the gameplay a little bit more with the 2 extra men at my disposal. And having just the 3 extra men to use as substitutes is also nice rather than having 5 on the side standing there doing nothing, at least now all 11 figures get a decent run out during a game. I am sure your 7 man tournament will turn out well...but if you do decide to go for 8V8 will you have to do all the rebranding of your logos and get new fields printed out??? I would imagine that would become quite expensive as well as time consuming, especially as you have put in such an incredible amount of time and effort so far! Lol I mean rules are there to be broken I am sure Tudor knew exactly what they were doing and got caught out ๐Ÿ˜‚. I don't envy those guys having NFL and/or NCAA breathing down their necks checking for licensing violations to flex their muscles and maybe try and squeeze a few more bucks out the little man! ๐Ÿ˜‚ shame really I would have definitely purchased those figures At the time of writing this Tudor seem to have the white unpainted figures back in stock so if you're in the market for unpainted figures probably would buy now! I assume their supply would be limited though. Sadly may have to postpone my plans for painting figures until probably February/March due to financial reasons. Fingers crossed they are still in stock when I get round to wanting to paint my own ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Sorry to hear! Hopefully they all get better soon and that you yourself don't get it! Looking forward to seeing your league underway! Not doing a league as such for now just some games here and there. I may start a league or tournament after I acquire and paint my own figures. Don't have enough teams yet close enough to do a college league. If it was NFL I would have no problem but the college game has definitely sparked more of an interest and inspiration! LOL....hmmm...well i guess licensing is pretty strict in some cases it is a shame but rules are rules I guess. They could have named it something a bit less obvious๐Ÿ˜‚
  3. Auburn Tigers Vs Penn State Penn State take the early lead with an easy 3 play drive. Big 55 yard TD pass to #58 who slips past the defence to the end zone. PAT missed. 6-0 to PEN. The Tigers bounce back with a 5 yard TD pass to #83 who was wide open in the end zone. No coverage in the end zone by the Nittany Lions, very disappointing. PAT Good to end quarter End of the 1st: Auburn 7-6 Penn State More to come tomorrow. Hopefully two quarters of action if I have the time ๐Ÿคž
  4. Unfortunately not been able to spend much time playing EF in the last few weeks ๐Ÿ˜ž So far I have the bases sorted for Penn State. Will hopefully get Auburns done tonight and maybe a bit of gameplay either tonight or tomorrow evening Will be back to playing and posting regularly really soon
  5. Auburn Tigers Vs Penn State This weeks matchup is Auburn V Penn State. Using some recently acquired pre-painted figures so colours may be a bit "off" but I kind of like them as they are. May paint the Auburn helmets white at some point or may keep them blue and use them also as the Virginia Cavaliers. Might also touch up the orange as not overly visible but looks close enough to the Tigers for me, for now! We shall see! Need to stick numbers on and sort out bases so probably no gameplay until tomorrow. Looking forward to playing EF after a short break. Excited to paint some figures very soon a team that has now caught my eye is Notre Dame, would like to add them to my collection among many others I have planned Probably wont be as in depth match reports as I would like to play the game without stopping all the time to write notes! Figures kinda look like what are in attached pics ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. I have seen the remake of the longest yard years ago when I was a kid and was only interested because many of the cast were wrestlers. I seem to remember one of the guards was given oestrogen pills or something ๐Ÿ˜‚I could be wrong. Definitely a film i need to rewatch including the original I have also been watching TWIPF on YouTube from the 70s and 80s as recommended by Capanther, they're very good! Gridiron gang and Leatherheads are films I would like to watch! Off topic too but Slapshot with Paul Newman is a great sporting film ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Thanks Paul and yeah the posts I swear get longer when actually posted๐Ÿ˜‚ thanks for the additions to the list! I have seen the pirates on some highlights of matches I have seen Western Carolina not so much....but hey in my opinion anyone for any college who puts on the jersey and puts their bodies on the line for their college is a winner. Hopefully results will get better one day! Yes App State I do know about and I know are a big name ๐Ÿ™‚although I did watch them get beat down the other day by Western KY ๐Ÿ™ˆ but I will use my white/black tram as App State too at some point If you think of any more please feel free to post! Thanks again
  8. So true. And I myself am guilty of that. It's so much nicer to stop worrying about minor details and play the game with all its quirks and imperfections. The way it was meant to be Nearly ditched the hobby because I was too worried about details. It's a fun game and I don't see the point personally chasing things which will be difficult or impossible to replicate (but all the power to the people who take their time on these details and innovations to the game) I'm in full agreement though. Play the game and have fun. Don't worry about the details, use your imagination. And don't worry what others think ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. That's gonna be a wrap until probably next year. No more time to play EF between now and the 30th December. May get some gameplay in new year's eve but we shall see Thanks to all who came and viewed my tournament, left comments and gave advice. I do appreciate it More games and tournaments on the way. Along with attempting to paint my own figures. So hopefully will open doors for new ideas and other projects! Merry Christmas everyone and if I don't get a chance to post on there before then....a happy new year to all too ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐ŸŽ„ PS: If anyone gets any cool stuff at Christmas for EF or football in general please post somewhere on the forum would love to see!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿˆ
  10. Absolute nail biter in the remainder of the 4th quarter Hand off to IOW #11 for a fantastic rushing TD from his own 15 yard line. PAT missed. Iowa up by 3 MSS TE receives a 65 yard pass gets it down to IOW 15 yard line. Next play the Spartans QB is sacked for a loss of 10. Hawkeyes then intercept the pass and get it to their own 14 yard line. Spartans LB intercept pass intended for IOW RB. Tackled immediately at the 50. Now the last play of the game. Spartans need something big to snatch this. And they came so close!! Spartans QB throws from the 50, caught by the slot receiver. He has room and charges for the line.....but the Iowa safety brings him down mere inches behind the goal line Iowa hang on by a thread!! Spartans will be disappointed they were the dominant team for around 3 and a half quarters. But the Hawkeyes punish the Spartans errors and claim the win Pic of #40 nearly snatching the glory. Moments before he was tackled Final score: Iowa Hawkeyes 19-16 Michigan State Spartans
  11. We are now 2 plays into the 4th quarter with the Spartans 16-13 up against the Hawkweyes Iowa took the lead in the third but a 40 yard kick off return by the Spartans followed by great possession and a 5 yard touchdown pass put Michigan State back in charge Very interesting rest of the 4th to come
  12. ***Please ignore last post not sure how to delete!*** Iowa Hawkeyes V Michigan State Spartans It is currently half time in the matchup between the Hawkeyes and the Spartans. Michigan State currently up 10-7 at the break I will be changing boards for the second half. I find my older Miggle board runs smoother and my figures perform better Although my set up times are now A LOT quicker than what they were when I first started playing EF, I feel for the time being 11 v 11 games are a bit too much. Therefore future games/tournaments will be 8 V 8, taking some inspiration from Arena League and my own rule adjustments. I know if I keep practicing, playing and researching playing with full teams will become second nature. I did enjoy playing 6 man as in my last tournament but I felt my game was lacking options in attack as I had 3 linemen 2 WR/RB and a QB, yeah all players were eligible receivers but sometimes the board just felt a bit empty ๐Ÿ˜‚hopefully the addition of 2 players to my games will bring about more options The remainder of this current game will remain 11 V 11 though ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. They came so close near the end. Was rooting for them to steal the show but just wasn't to be unfortunately! Luck of the dice just not on their side! Looked fairly strong throughout may need to switch some bases to add a bit of speed on their receivers because they are one of the slower teams in my collection but have a lot of strength in the line. A lot of potential ๐Ÿ™‚ Titans might pick up something in future events so watch this space ๐Ÿ˜€
  14. Well that is it! The Ravens take the Super 6 Championship to Baltimore after a nail biting match with the Titans!! Big thank you to everyone who stopped by and left a comment it is always appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚ The next edition of the Super 6 will be bigger and better with more teams and we will see if Baltimore can come back to the UK and retain their title or perhaps another team will come along and knock the Ravens off their perch. We will see when Super 6 returns in 2022 Next up we have an exhibition college match up between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Michigan State Spartans. As a test run for my first 11 V 11 game, with a potential college tournament in the near future. Match reports wont be as detailed unfortunately but I will mention some big plays and highlights, also will add a few pics Thanks again Mike

Titans now in a great position, now in Ravens territory, First down with only 3 plays left, great position to snatch the title from Baltimore. BAL #12 catches the interception he takes it to the TEN 40 yard line. The Titans QB #17 with his head in his hands barring some kind of miracle he may have just cost his team the title. The game concludes with a hand off from the BAL QB to #47 who is tackled on the TEN 28 yard line Final Score: Baltimore Ravens 28-25 Tennessee Titans Ravens are Super 6 Champions!!!
  16. Carolina Panthers 44-35 New York Jets Panthers lift shield in high scoring encounter Carolina Panthers finish in 3rd place in the Super 6 tournament in a hard fought game against the Jets. The Panthers who narrowly missed out on a final spot put the disappointment behind them and downed the Jets who defeated them in the group stages Q1: Kick off by NYJ. #40 for the Jets receives pass on his own 20 beats a CB and a safety to run it into the end zone. PAT GOOD. Jets up by 7 early on. CAR QB hands off to #22 from the Jets 40 yard line for a big rushing TD, PAT GOOD. Score now 7-7. NYJ #11 fumbles the kick off, #21 recovers ball and manages to take it to around the Jets 30 yard line before being stopped. NYJ hand off to #21 who rushes from the CAR 36, PAT GOOD. NYJ 14-7 CAR. Panthers QB delivers a monster TD pass around 70 yards to #43 however the extra point was missed End of Q1: NYJ 14-13 CAR Q2: NYJ intercepts pass #11 tackled at the 50. It was then Carolina's turn to intercept a pass their #11 collects the ball on his own 45 yard line, nobody back in defense to stop him and he gets into the end zone for a TD, PAT blocked, Jets recover but was tackled almost immediately. CAR 19-14 NYJ. Jets 4th&1 on CAR 31 yard line, coin was tossed to determine if they go for it or if they attempt the field goal, FG attempt was the outcome this proved very costly. 48 yard field goal attempt. 6 was rolled, kick way way too short, CAR #22 back on the 5 yard line catches the short attempt and runs it all the way to the end zone for a TD thanks to incredible blocking by his team mates, PAT GOOD. CAR 26-14 NYJ. Poor KO return by Jets only managing a 5 yard return, CAR intercepts a pass attempt, Panthers #5 tackled straight away. CAR #22 fumbles the pass, recovered by his team mate #72 who breaks a tackle and scores a TD, PAT blocked, Jets #40 gets it to near the 50 before being tackled Half time: CAR 32-14 NYJ Q3: NYJ #21 fumbles pass on his own 22 yard line, he recovers but is shoved out of bounds for a short gain. NYJ rack up consecutive first downs and are controlling possession well but a lack of concentration by their QB who throws another interception deep in Panthers territory. CAR #22 takes the interception up to the CAR 39 yard line. Hand off to CAR #22 for a big 55 yard rush but he ends up running out of bounds 2 yards short of the end zone!!! CAR #11 receives the TD pass, special teams in bad form as PAT missed. CAR 38-14 NYJ. 2 intercepted passes in a row followed, first by NYJ then it was the Panthers turn to throw the ball straight into the arms of a Jets player. NYJ with a spectacular 75 yard TD pass, PAT GOOD End of the 3rd: CAR 38-21 NYJ Q4: CAR #43 fumbles the kick off, CAR #22 recovers and can only get up to his own 13. Jets with a monster 82 yard kick off return before turning around. Jets QB fumbles the snap, #40 recovers but is tackled behind the line of scrimmage for a short loss. Jets with the final score of the game, an 18 yard TD Pass to #21, PAT GOOD Final score: CAR 44-35 NYJ The Panthers take the shield back to Charlotte and a well deserved 3rd place finish after a very disappointing start to the tournament. The Panthers seemed to be totally transformed after their disappointing group stage results and just missed out on a final spot by a whisker. They should be very proud of their achievements and will be exciting to see what this Panthers team produces in the future!
  17. A champion has finally been crowned in a tight contest with only 3 points separating the teams. An interception with 3 plays left of the game blew the chances of the losing team Match report will hopefully be up tomorrow ๐Ÿˆ
  18. I like the colours on that cowboys team ๐Ÿ™‚ was the doomsday defense in full swing in this era? I bought a set of pre painted figures I'm gonna use as the cowboys although colour of the pants is incorrect. Looked at gridiron uniforms database thought they played in dark pants at one point. Nevermind they will be wearing a new uniform in my games lol. Might repaint the pants at a later date but I like the look of it anyway so may not bother I do like "concept" kits anyway so a lot of my team's won't have official colours or a combination of colours never used. Either way excited to have the cowboys in my collection I have these figures coming....
  19. But then it's finding the manpower to get people to sit there and apply hundreds of them all day everyday ๐Ÿ˜†
  20. Yes all good thank you. Bad news in partners family over night. We live in a small apartment so she definitely needs the break from the Buzzing lol Hope to back in a couple of days ๐Ÿ™‚
  21. Due to some sad and unforseen circumstances there will most likely be no further updates on this thread for the next few days. Not for definite but I may not be in the position to be able to play Will be back soon either way ๐Ÿ™‚ Take care all
  22. Half time in the final The Ravens are currently up 21-13 at the half time interval A very close game so far. Some changes in footwear may be in order for the Titans as they are struggling to keep up with the pace of the Ravens receivers. #88 for Tennessee keeping the Titans in the hunt for the victory The Ravens need to be wary that they do not lose concentration in the second half like they did to the Panthers last time out because the Titans will seize upon any opportunity and mistake The action continues tomorrow ๐Ÿˆ
  23. Hi all Apologies for lack of content the last few days, was away most of the weekend and the forum was also down! The shield game between the Jets and the Panthers has been played. A high scoring game in that one, I will have match reports and a couple of pictures on here tomorrow The final will be played tonight, will possibly only have time to play a half but I will see what I can do. Match reports for final between Titans and Ravens will either be on here on Tuesday or Wednesday ๐Ÿ™‚ I will then post up my "Team of the tournament" then that will be all. After the conclusion of the tournament I am probably going to be playing some 11 v 11 games as a test. Going to be thinking up of a new project or tournament to play after Super 6 is finished with possibly college teams. Probably will just post up some exhibition games that I have been playing until I think of what I want to do next ๐Ÿ™‚
