I've become so accustomed to the Christmas Spirit winning every game (except the Fruit Bowl) that this early exit of the Christmas Spirit in the Hunger Games Double Elimination Tournament is a bit of a downer.

The Christmas Spirit missed a 47-yard field goal and committed two interceptions so in a league where, "the best defense is a good offense," the Hoosiers held the upper hand through the whole game.

Up next are the Golden Grizzlies vs the Quick and the Dead. This should be a high scoring game, but I have a suspicion it doesn't matter who wins, the Hoosiers will dominate.

Against the Christmas Spirit the Hoosiers rushed for 143 yards, passed for 174 yards, and scored 5 touchdowns and 2 field goals. Hoosiers' MVP TB #22 rushed for 86 yards on 15 carries and scored 1 touchdown. Hoosiers' WR #13 had an explosive game with 110 kick return yards, 100 yards receiving, and 2 touchdowns.

The Christmas Spirit WR #3 had another MVP-type game, unfortunately, in a loosing cause. #3 had 193 kick return yards, 157 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns.

The last 30-seconds of the First Half of the Hoosiers vs the Christmas Spirit was memorable. The Little Plastic Peeps just never fail to surprise and then amaze me.

🔍The Kick-Out Block🔎

The Hoosier don't run the ball north and south very well but they do run the ball east and west effectively thanks to Kick-Out blocks by Fullback #47. Tailback #22 stays on #47's inside hip until #47 makes the Kick-Out block and then TB #22 cut inside that block. This video illustrates the Hoosiers' Kick-Out Block.

a down o-lineman in the backfield.

The 0-lineman is a pulling guard. I pull tight ends, guards, and tackles.

I have two rules to govern my pulling linemen. 1. The front of the pulling player must be within the Tackle Box. 2. The side of the pulling player can be no more than a base-width from the back of the base of the closest O-lineman.

It's a kind of a Fast Forward, or short cut that makes the game more fun for me. 😃👍
