The Linebacker In Electric Football--

In Electric Football, you have people who pay a lot of attention of two things - 

Speed

Strength

So you end up hearing a lot about the strength of a defensive line, or the speed of a secondary. What about the ones who get caught in the middle? So, the question is -- 

Are linebackers an absolute or simply an afterthought in Electric Football?

In my solitaire league, they serve the same role as linebackers in real football (at least the roles they had before the NFL became the pass happy league it is now).  They plug holes, cover backs out of the backfield, blitz, and drop into zones.  I generally want pretty fast linebackers to cover the backs (as well as tight ends in certain situations), roam sideline to sideline on sweeps, and come up in a hurry to plug any holes in the line.  Because I use a multi-stop system, they are very valuable in these roles.

Typically the OLB need to be fast for blitzing from the outside. This is why they were coined "loopers" because the base has to loop in.

I like my MLB's to be average speed and strong. They need to help the DL in case they are getting pushed back by an OL and RB combo. They should also run straight to hit gaps.
