Overtime
Hog rams 19 hog cowboys 13
The rams featured the passing game of roman gabriel to jack snow and the cowboys featured the running game of calvin hill and Walt Garrison.....the cowboys forced overtime with a 38 yd field goal....the cowboys won the toss but on the 3rd play of overtime the rams dick bass stepped in front of a roger stauback pass and returned it 52 yards for the game winning pick 6.....the rams move on to face the Packers...the cowboys are eliminated......great rams represented tonight are : 18 gabriel...84 snow....22 bass ...75 deacon jones....74 merlin olsen....33 willie ellison...and 87 billy truax.....great former cowboys include : 35 hill...32 garrison....12 stauback....22 bob hayes....19 lance rentzel....74 bob lilly....66 George andre....and 55 leroy jordan.....up next im going back up to winner bracket where the hog vikings will face the hog 49ers.

Hog packers 20 hog colts 17
Ill probably type too much but games like this bring back lots of memories....in my neighborhood there were about 8 guys who had electric football and we had all started playing in the late 60s when tudor had started making the 1967 bigmen and 1969 hoglegs...all of us had our favorite team...and all of us had at least 7 or 8 teams im sure.....the packers were a favorite for several of the guys...and a couple were big colts fans...i was a big rams fan growing up....we played outside on the nice days but when the rain or snow came at least 3 or 4 of us was at one or the others house playing electric football....great times...great memories......now on to the game.....this was a classic right down to the last play of the game.....john unitas drove the colts down the field late in the 4th qt and found jimmy orr down the middle for the go ahead score...that left bart starr and the packers 3 plays to win the game...on the last play of the game with no one open...starr rambled 40 yards and the packers pulled out the victory 20-17.....the colts are eliminated the packers move on....so many great players were featured in this game....15 starr...31 jim taylor...5 paul hornung....24 willie wood...85 max mcgee....22 elijah pitts....87 willie davis...89 dave Robinson...64 jerry Kramer...63 fuzzy thurston and 66 ray nitschke for the packers....the colts featured...19 Unitas...24 lenny moore...41 tom mattie....28 jimmy orr...88 john mackey...82 raymond berry....70 art Donovan....89 gino marchette....78 bubba smith....74 billy ray Smith and 32 mike curtis....up next will be another hogleg matchup between the rams and cowboys.

Good game as mel farr from the lions had another typical solid game ....the lions led 14-3 at halftime and held on to advance to next round while the steelers are eliminated.... great lions from the past include : 24 farr....11 greg landry....36 steve owens...88 charlie sanders...42 altie taylor.....54 ed Flanagan...and 71 alex karras......great steelers from yesterday include : 32 franco harris....88 lynn swann...82 john stalworth....20 rocky blier....75 joe green....84 randy grossman....68 lc greenwood....and 58 jack lambert......up next is an old tudor classic between the packers and the colts ..im sure thousands and thousands of boys across american played many games against these 2 teams in the late 60s.

Hog cards 31 hog bears 29
Id call this a WOW game....one thing ive found as i have enjoyed playing this great game of Tudor electric football for over 50 years is that its great to play one of these type games from time to time....another thing ive found is consistently through the years...gale sayers for the bears and terry Metcalf for the cardinals always seem to make big plays and score a lot of touchdowns almost every game.....this one was a classic as the 2 great stars from the past took turns making big plays and scoring on long runs....both had 4 tds for the game but once again the game was decided on two missed extra points that gave the cardinals the victory and the chance to play on...the bears will have to wait till the next tournament......lots of pictures and lots of action in this one.....great former bears include : 40 sayers...87 ed obradovich ...89 mike ditka....78 stan thompson....55 doug buffone....and 51 the great dick butkus ......the cardinals featured 21 Metcalf.....81 jackie smith....17 jim hart.....72 dan dierdorf ...66 conrad dobler...and 73 ernie McMillan.....up next will be the hog steelers vs the hog lions.

The rams were on the 9 yard line on last play of the game but they couldnt score and the 49ers move on to face the vikings in the winners bracket and the rams drop down to play the cowboys in the loser bracket....outstanding 49ers include : 18 gene washington...40 ken willard....82 ted kwalick ....75 forrest blue ...69 woody peoples...and 12 john brodie.....former rams include: 30 lawrence McCuthen...22 john capaletti....15 vince Ferragamo....74 merlin olsen...29 harold jackson...and 85 jack youngblood....up next will be the hogleg bears vs the hogleg cardinals.

Vikings 13 Packers 12
Well after about 6 months off....the weather is changing....its time to play some football again....i typically take some time off from time to time but this might be my biggest pause ever.....i picked up with the tournament with 2 old black and blue division opponents..hog packers and hog vikings...this game was decided in the kicking game as the packers missed both extra points and the vikings made 1 out of 2.....paul hornung scored late in the game from 22 yards out but the extra point again was no good and the vikings move on and the Packers drop down to the loser bracket......great vikings from the past include : 44 chuck foreman...30 bill brown...41 ed Osborne....84 gene washington....59 lonnie warwick....70 jim marshall and 88 alan page.....some of the great packers from yesterday include: 5 hornung....31 jim taylor...81 marv Fleming....64 jerry Kramer....66 ray nitschke...86 boyd dowler....87 willie davis and 15 bart Starr......up next is an old costal division matchup between the haiti rams and hogleg 49ers.....hopefully i can start getting in 2 or 3 games a week in like the good old days.

My first game as well...i played a bunch of games on it with those big yellow and white teams....then i ordered a set of w rams and d jets ...the rams were my favorite team and i picked the jets because they had just won super bowl III.....GREAT MEMORIES.

Thanks . All of mine are the original tudor teams except for a nice set of rams a friend did for me ...i keep 3 teams ...2 hogs and 1 big men team or vice versa for the 26 teams when the AFL and NFL merged.....i really like the old originals...they arent as fancy but they have special meaning to me....its a great hobby.

Ill call this one the larry brown game and what a game....he scored all 3 tds and he and the redskins dominated ....great redskins from the past include : 43 brown....9 sonny jurgenson...42 charlie taylor....55 chris hanburger ....and 87 jerry smith....great steelers from the past include : 32 franco harris...12 terry bradshaw...82 john stalworth....52 mike webster...75 joe Greene....and 58 jack Lambert....the redskins move on in the winners bracket and face the giants....the steelers drop down to face an elimination game with the lions....up next will be 2 more hogleg teams...packers vs vikings

Ron johnson of the giants had 2 tds...and the game clincher at the end as the giants move on in the winners bracket.....the cardinals will move down to the loser bracket and face the bears......great giants on this roster include : 30 johnson...10 fran tarkenton...40 joe morrison...89 fred dryer...45 homer jones and 38 bob tucker...great cardinals include 21 terry metcalf...36 macarthur lane ...72 dan dierdorf....54 tom banks...17 jim hart and 81 jackie smith.....up next will be the steelers vs washington.

Hog bears 14 hog falcons 7
If these 2 played in the late 60s early 70s it would have probably been like this one...good defense ...good running plays and a few passes..... once again the bears were led by gale sayers #40 who had 2 tds.....bog long #80 had the lone falcons td on a pass from #17 bob berry....other good performances included : 51 dick butkus....89 mike ditka and 87 ed o'bradovich of the bears....great falcons from yesterday include : 60 tommy nobis...87 claude Humphrey...71 john zook...33 jim cannonball butler and 5 harmon wages.....the falcons join the browns...eagles...and saints as the first 4 out.....ill head back up to the winners bracket and play the hog giants vs the hog cardinals.

Not a big play game ...the lions #24 mel farr had his usual dependable game scoring 2 tds.....#38 tony baker had the lone score for the saints......other great lions include : 36 steve owens...11 greg landry....88 charlie sanders....71 alex karass....53 mike lucci ....42 altie taylor......great saints from the past include : 17 billy kilmer...46 danny Abramowitz....25 al Dodd....and 35 bob Gresham......up next will be the hog dark bears vs the hog w falcons.

I think u are right...i havent mentioned as many of those great players from the past in this tournament as i usually do....it doesnt seem the same when i don't....i guess for me it was always about the old teams combined with those players i admired when i was growing up....i usually put unitas and morrall on my colts teams because in the late 60s and 1970 morrall stepped in and made big contributions for the colts when unitas had started to get hurt often .... obviously unitas was one of the greatest ever.....and the browns with jim brown and leroy kelly..... those 2 are always on all my cleveland teams...typically i just let them rotate games in who is the feature back...they were on the same roster for a year or two....but Kelly really showed how great he was after brown retired....but i think i will go back to listing more of the old players ...they are what made the game great.

I noticed your Steelers and Redskins are playing each other in this round. I'm playing that very match-up right now. Both teams have already won their divisions. The home team Redskins are leading 7-3 at halftime. Bradshaw threw a pick 6 on the first play of the game, and Steeler kicker Matt Bahr booted a field goal as time ran out in the first half.
For most of my teams i keep 3 teams...2 hogs and 1 bm team or vice versa......to tell u the truth usually when i see who will play i normally just pick one of the 3 teams i havent used in awhile or just pick a a good matchup between the 2 teams.....for example in this last game i used the hog d browns and hog w colts because in their first round game i used the 2 bigmen teams so i wanted to use hoglegs for 2nd round games ...i could have used w browns and d colts....or the w colts and d browns....i just picked the matchup i like best.....i try to rotate my choices so if a team plays 3 or 4 games in a tournament i will use all 3 variations with that team....when i play the redskins and steelers i will probably use the hog d steelers and the w hog redskins...because i used the bm versions of those 2 in their first round games

Great game ....this one came down to the last play of the game...the colts trailing by 6 and on the 11 yard line....earl morrall found eddie hinton down the seam and the colts move on with a thrilling 28-27 victory.....leroy kelly of the browns had a monster game with 4 rushing tds but the browns missed an extra point that was a big difference maker....up next is the hog saints vs the hog lions...once again...the winner moves on and the loser is out.

This one was dominated by calvin hill and the cowboys from the first drive on.....the cowboys move on and the eagles are the first team out of the tourney.....up next will be the hog browns vs the hog colts....once again the pressure is on because the loser is finished.

Bm 49ers 23 bm falcons 13
The 49ers once again were led by 40 ken willard who i have found has been very consistent in my games when i use the 49ers....other great 49ers include 18 gene washington....64 larry wilcox and 12 john brodie.....the falcons were led by 5 harmon wages and 60 tommy nobis....71 john zook and 87 claude Humphrey....the 49ers move on to face their bitter rival rams and the falcons will play the bears.The first round games are finished ....now i move on to the 4 loser bracket games and the 2nd round of the winners bracket....the losers in the next 4 loser bracket games are out of the tournament.....i think ill use my hogleg teams for awhile....up next hog d cowboys vs hog w eagles.

Bm rams 16 bm bears 10
Dick bass # 22 for the rams had 2 tds...and gale sayers #40 for the bears was held to 1 as the rams won a defensive struggle and move on to play the winner of the falcons and 49ers ...the bears move down to the loser bracket and play the loser of the falcons and 49ers.... Both defenses played tough tonight with dick butkus and doug atkins standing out for the bears...and rosey grier and deacon jones playing well for the rams . Up next is the last first round game as the 49ers face the falcons.

Bm packers 27 bm saints 21
Back in the late 60s and early 70s this would have been the packers by a landslide but the saints were knocking on the goal line and almost pulled an upset but the packers prevail 27-21 and move on to face the vikings ...the saints move down to the loser bracket and will face the lions . .great performances by tony baker of the saints who scored 3 touchdowns....the packers were led by jim taylor...carol dale and john brockington ...brockington usually doesn't make the roster because of hornung and taylor but i put him on this packer team.....up next will be another classic 1967 bigmen battle as the big bears meet the big rams....i think ill finish out the first round with the bigmen teams and then start using the hoglegs again....having fun and enjoying this great game we share.

Bm vikings 29 bm lions 27
This one was full of twists and turns...the vikings missed two important extra points ....the lions looked like they had iced the game on a 30 yd mel farr run very late to take a 27-22 lead ...but gene washington returned the kickoff for a td and a 29-27 viking victory....farr for the lions had 4 tds tonight..... The vikings move on in the winners bracket and the lions will have to play their way out of the loser bracket....up next will be the bm packers vs the bm saints

Yes...one solid mold.....i then ordered the d hogleg jets because they had just won super bowl 3 ...and my favorite team the w hogleg rams......for several years i would get 4 or 5 teams on birthdays and christmas.....my first big 620 game was the blue endzone rams and cowboys game.

The vikings kicked a short fg on the last play of the game to win 9-7....the vikings are the first team to reach the final 4....outstanding vikings from the past include : 77 gary Larsen....88 alan page...70 jim marshall ...30 bill brown....32 oscar reed....11 joe kapp....and 84 gene washington....the 49ers were led by : 75 forrest blue....70 charlie kruger....40 ken willard....82 ted kwalick....42 doug cunningham....and 12 john brodie...the 49ers are still alive and drop down to the losers bracket..up next is the other 2 teams in the winners bracket as the giants take on washington.
