Yes.  We use it for our TVEFL games so we don’t have to pass the controller back and forth.

 In the past we have “fumbled” the controller passing to the other coach and it crashed to the board ruining the current play.

Yes!! Been there, done that!! On one of my custom game boards, I installed push button momentary switches on each side of the framing.
