PSU 27 OSU 24 In a Big10 rivalry game Penn State came out to make a statement. Coming into this season PSU comes in ranked 12(last in the country) due to their poor performance last season but that didn’t matter as they walk into Columbus and upset the number 4 team Ohio State. QB Doug Sanders had a phenomenal game hitting passes deep and across the middle even threading the needle when it counted. Sanders finished 8/11, 192 yds, 1 TD, 4 car, 34 yds, 1 TD completing passes to 4 different receivers including monster X receiver Anthony Bends who finished with 4 cat, 86 yards, 1 TD. PSU also had a good run game as McFadden carried the ball 10 times for 96 yards and a TD. I honestly thought OSU would be the team to come out on top as they overwhelmed PSU in the sack game totaling 4 sacks. Freshman Edge rusher Zubair Pennington had a great first game with 3 tfl’s, 3 sacks, and 4 pressures.
