Game 3 of the Hunger Games Season. This game features the former Fruit Bowl Champion Hoosiers (season 19) and the upstart GTO. But it's more than just a game between two EF teams, it is a clash of running back philosophies.

The Hoosiers have a tried and true running attack featuring Tailbacks #22 and #37. #22 and #37 ride on standard bases that are fast, strong, and run a dependable 20-yard curve.

The GTO feature Halfback #21 riding on a TTC base that is fast, strong, and can run straight, left and right curves. The dependable TTC Halfback is my Holy Grail.

At Halftime, GTO HB #21 has 175 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Hoosier TB #22 and #37 have 103 yards and 2 Touchdowns. GTO are up 28 to 24.

The 32nd Season is being played on my new grass field. My snow field and my grass field have college hashmarks. I tried both and I feel like the wider hashmarks uses more of the field as opposed to the NFL hashmarks which tend to keep the ball in the center of the field.

A final note. The GTO have been around since Season 17, but were not very good. So I held my usual draft (four teams, 20 players on a team, double-elimination tournament) and the team on the field is the best of that draft.

a chance to block the FG

Not per se. If the kick is 43 yards, and the dice comes up 42 yards or less, then I imagine a defender gets a hand on the ball and the kick is errant.

So in effect, every Field Goal attempt and every PAT attempt is either good, or blocked.

The hoosiers managed to halt that over time drive which surprised me

For the GTO the Second Half was very different from the First Half.

GTO Halfback #21 had 175 yards and 3 Touchdowns in the First Half, and only 9 yards and no Touchdowns in the Second Half.

Hoosiers Tailbacks #22 and #37 had 103 yards and 2 Touchdowns in the First Half. #22 and #37 had 93 yards rushing and 2 Touchdowns in the Second Half.

If the coin flip went the other way (favoring the Hoosiers) then I'm certain the Hoosiers would've won in Overtime.

Okay, I'll bite. What happened in 1961 that earns a commemorative quarter?
