Yet another base question 😊

I use both. I typically use dials on offensive lineman, QB and TE, rookie on RB's and WR's for the offense. For the defense, I typically use dials on the DT's and MLB, and rookies on the rest.

On my current solitaire teams, I only use single clip rookies since they are all 11-player ironman rosters.

I try to keep things simple. If I am creating a competition team, it gets a little bit more complicated.

I do about the same.  Generally, by position:

Offensive tackle/defensive tackle: DIAL

Offensive guard/Nose tackle: DIAL

Center/Middle Linebacker: DIAL

Tight End/Defensive End: either DIAL or ROOKIE

Kick Returner/Wide Receiver/Receivers in Passing Situations: ROOKIE

QB: DIAL

Halfback/Fullback: DIAL

Tailback: ROOKIE

Cornerbacks/Safeties: DIAL

Outside Linebackers (loopers): either DIAL or ROOKIE

My exceptions are the 1949 steel bases which don't have dials; Red Pegs are only dials (sort of); 1965 Aqua bases don't have dials; and 1991 Butterscotch bases only dials.

Enjoy the Journey.   T43.  🏈♾️
