Quiet Board

My sons are playing with a board from the 2000-2010 era. They would be allowed to play more if it wasn't so loud.  What is the best way to get a better quieter board?

One of the common complaints about electric football throughout its history. Place a towel under it to dampen the noise. If it is sitting on a hard surface, that is why it is louder. Or purchase a field motion generator and remote control from Tudor. These motors are quieter. It may also be that the rivets used to mount the motor are loose. You can tighten it by placing cardboard between the motor and playing surface.

Thanks.  I was wondering if the modern boards were quieter.  We tried the towel, and I will check into the field motion generator.
